Everything almost perfect, but.........

CS 5 Suite is working fine and many other apps that were great in Lion work great in 10.8.
I also had no problems with installation.
But... only 2 things to complain about: one is that a desktop picture that was perfect in Lion, now lacks a little bit of resolution.
I'm sure that this will be taken care of very soon as Apple always does.
The other is that the whole system has slowed down a lot, and I mean a lot. So much so as to be able to notice for every task
that I want the computer to, do the machine takes 3 to 4 times more time then before with Lion.
My question is: APPLE, are you going to take care of this very soon?

Help with what? If the WiFi radio is broken, there's nothing any of us on this forum can do help you. Either go to Apple and pay for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop and get the phone repaired.

Everything´s perfect but Music from itunes

hey guys,
i have a really strange problem with my apple tv2:
everything is working fine but the music via airplay to apple tv2. The connections needs very long to play music and something between seconds and 2 minutes the music stops in apple tv, but is still running in itunes. Curious: Video from itunes via airplay works perfect in tv and sound.
Airplay via iphone: perfect, apple tv and music which pull the music from my macbook: perfect. Only MUSIC and ONLY when starting in itunes via airplay is not working. I tested different macbooks and one with itunes 10.1.2. all others with the latest software. apple tv has the latest software and i already resetted the system.
I dont know what the problem could be. I have currently a wpa2 wif... but i am so wondering why ihone airplay works and video form itunes and music but only when control in apple tv and not in itunes.
but this is exactly what i want to use often, control on itunes withoug using the tv.

I found exactly the same problem and discovered the issued disappeared when I "quit" all "downloading" programs whilst watching TV via ATV2. The issue was particularly frequent when i was watching while downloading using my torrent client (utorrent). Quitting this resulted in a immediate an permanent improvement provided the torrent client remained closed. Interestingly it did not seem to affect, to the same degree listening to music through iTunes while downloading!
After experimenting I also noted that the problem existed, albeit less frequently, when i was downloading movies from the iTunes store. I experimented with a variety of Apple and non-Apple routers and ethernet cables. As long as i was downloading there was an issue using the ATV. For what its worth I also noted that when the ATV2 went awry it also occasionally coincided with a temporary outage on my ADSL connection. After all the experimenting i have concluded its the ATV2 that is the route cause and not the router/network arrangement etc.
Anyone want to try fixing the problem this way? i cant believe that its a coincidence.

Window Manager delimma! TWM is almost perfect, but not quite :(

I guess I should start out by saying I'm pretty new to Linux, so I'm not experienced with all the DEs and WMs out there. I've trief (very briefly) KDE, Xfce, and Openbox, but honestly none of them really got me as excited as TWM. I've spent hours writing my own .twmrc from scratch, and I love it... unfortunately, there seem to be a few critical things things that TWM just won't do. These are listed below in descending order of importance to me:
* task-switching (alt+tabbing): I've been able to do something simple with this using f.forwiconmgr to switch focus, and I like it fine; the only problem is that I can't make it raise the windows, too. I tried a function {f.forwiconmgr f.raise}, but for some reason it would raise the CURRENT window before switching focus to the next.
* maximize (or fullzoom) on double-clicking the titlebar.
* I have one TitleButton which fullzooms on being clicked. For some reason there's an issue where after clicking it, the next click anywhere in TWM's domain will be ignore and changes the cursor to a tiny mouse icon. I have no idea why, and I haven't been able to get around it.
* fullzoom margins: I have my icon manager at the bottom of the screen and an xclock, almost like a taskbar which blends in with the background. I don't like maximized windows blocking them.
* I'd really like to be able to force certain windows to always be in the back. This is mainly because my icon manager and xclock are colored to look like they're part of the background, but I guess if the previous one is satisfied this becomes less important.
* I can't (or haven't figured out how to) make windows raise to the top when you click within them. If I write a line to f.raise when clicking in the window, then TWM consumes the click-signal and it never reaches the window. This is at the bottom because I'm already learning to live with this, and could even see myself starting to appreciate it as a feature before long.
I suppose what I'm asking for is either a solution to these issues with TWM, or suggestions for an alternative WM that will do all of these plus what I like so much about TWM. Of what I've tried, I liked Openbox the most, but having to customize it in xml and its themes kind of turned me off. At the bottom you'll find a link to a screenshot of my current TWM setup, just for some idea if what I'm getting at. I just don't know what to do! I've become very attached to TWM, but also very put off by its flaws.

I'm trying TWM.
It's rather interesting.
With my .twmrc, I can switch between windows pressing Alt + F3, and then Alt + F11 or F12 to select which window, and then Alt + F9 to raise it, or Alt + F10 to deiconify it.
If several windows are deiconified, I can switch pressing Alt + F1.
I made several keyboard shortcuts to start programms, to handle windows, etc…
With vdesk I have multiple desktops. I set Ctrl + F1-4 to switch to a desktop to anothers.
I made a menu with some programs I use often, but I must add some programs.
I use slim as login manager. I have the slim picture as background. It's good.
I wonder if I won't continue to use twm. It's rather nice, and well made.

Hi,i just got a retina display iPad,I am trying to play hbo and connect with AirPlay with my Apple TV ,everything works perfect but I have a problem that the subtitles doesn't come up on the tv!!Can please anyone help with this problem. Thank you advanced

Return it for a credit. Buying things like phones and computers on eBay is not a good idea. If the person refuses to refund your money, use the eBay appeal process since you were sold something that does not work.

Why is elements better at photomerge than CC- CC does not appear to automatically fill image based on content but elements does when merging a panorama. Also the stitching is visable in CC but almost perfect in elements- why?

I took 6 panorama shots of a scene and used CC to Photomerge them as one. Couldn't see where to automatic blend the edges and there was 'stitch' lines when the images were merged. So i did the same in Elements 11 and it was perfect. Am i doing something wrong in CC or perhaps not doing something at all?

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to reply and i appreciate the remarks- if a little harsh- we all have to start somewhere and i am fully aware of the limitations of Elements which is why i decided to add CC to my software. I can only say that if an inferior quality software from Adobe does the job well then CC must also be suited to doing the same which is why i can only think, from your comments, that i have not done something simple- however- following tutorials to get to the end result should have sufficed- it didn't so perhaps i will consider posting the difference between the two applications- and, perhaps suffer a few more 'harsh' comments. The learning curve is quite steep and i am a visual learner, but i'm also not totally incompetent:)

First a clarification: you are not addressing Adobe here in these user forums. You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.
I'll give it my best shot anyway.
Few folks in this forum are really familiar with Elements, for which there's a dedicated, totally separate forum.
Different engineering teams, also.
From this perspective, it will be difficult to give you a direct answer to your "why?" question.
Personally, I blend very large panorama shots in Photoshop proper since I can't even remember when without any issues whatsoever, up to and including in Photoshop CS6 13.0.6.
Without being at your computer and without looking at your images, I couldn't even begin to speculate what you are doing wrong in Photoshop, which I suspect you are. The least you could show is post examples from your panoramas that have gone wrong.
I can tell you that panorama stitching requires significant overlap between the individual shots, besides common-sdense techniques like a very solid tripod and precision heads.
The only version of Elements I have ever used for any significant time was Elements 6 for Windows, which I bought in 2008 to use on a PC (I've been an avid Mac user for 30 years). I found Elements so limited and so bad that I successfully demanded a refund from Adobe. IU mention this only to emphasize that I can truly only address your question from a Photoshop (proper) and Mac user point of view. I couldn't care less about Elements, but if you have comparison examples of panoramas processed in both applications, by all means post those two.
Generally speaking Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve, while Photoshop has many hand-holding features for amateurs and beginners.
Perhaps the bottom line is that you should stick with Elements if you personally manage to get better results there.

Facebook apparently has their site coded poorly for tablets with touch screens. Try using the Facebook app. It is not perfect either but it is better than view in a browser lately.

I have an hd movie on both my ipad and iPhone 5, using airplay on my apple tv with my iPhone 5 plays perfectly but gets stuck with my ipad 2, almost like its buffering? I just want it to play smoothly like with my iPhone. Any suggestion?

About 6 months ago I discovered iTunes was set by default to 720p. These MUST BE CHANGED TO 1080P!!!!!!!!.......So I installed FULL 1080P file on my laptop on iTunes... When I download movies on iPhone 5s/iPad mini the file is 720p So within about 60 seconds of starting download of 1080p files into my laptop of iTunes purchases. It was at that moment that I realized it was that file my laptop has on file to sync to my Apple device...Ten minutes later when the first 1080P HD file was downloaded I must say... The resolution is amazing... I now use this same process to install movie files from iTunes.. In FULL 1080P.. Not 720P... Works on my iPad mini also... Avatar is 5.4 GB if installed over Wi-Fi... However sync with laptop and file is 6.5 GB in size... Called Apple told them... No reply yet.... You must delete 720P files from your laptop... Look for file size in any movie purchase and you will see DOWNLOAD IN 1080P.. This will open preferences in iTunes for you to the correct tab so you can change setting to 1080p from default of 720p... DELETE any downloaded movies already downloaded into laptop... You can check file quality by right click on any movie folder and the look at movie info... Will say 720p HD... Delete to recycle bin and iCloud will appear on each movie... Now download 1080P HD file... When completed. Right click any file to verify it is 1080P HD... The sync with device...... And get ready to be upset with Apple for holding back your device for the last 2 years 3 months and 16 days......And be ready to catch your jaw from hitting the floor when you see your screen in full 1080P HD.... Apple Engineer's were asleep.....
You will notice better pic quality... Apple by default is still sending the 720P file to the new iPhone 6 plus over wifi and sync.. howve this process above will give you full HD file for your Apple device...

The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! Not only will I be replacing this phone with a competitive product but I won't be buying anymore Apple crap. I guess when you con 27 million people into believing your rhetoric and sales lies, you don't have to care whether some customers get screwed or not. I'll be going back to Verizon and threatening legal action if they don't take this electronic dung heap back but I'm sure the teams of lawyers Apple and Verizon have on staff have insured that I have no rights in this matter and you're free to screw me anytime you please. Sad. I used to love Apple as a company and your products. Now you're just another Microsoft with more trendy looking junk. I've had it with you. Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

On my desktop computer, comcast requested that due to a problem, I needed to change my comcast PASSWORD. I did so and everything was fine. That evening I was working on my iPad and was reading all my emails that I had received during the day and tried to respond. It came back and told me the username or password was not correct. I immediately went to SETTINGS on my iPad and changed the mail password. I have been working on this for two days and cannot SEND emails. Otherwise, everything works perfect. Everything I try to send gets put in my DRAFT file with a red triangle in the corner. HELP???????

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Everything almost perfect, but.........
