Everything blurry, happening on render

i googled and searched this forum and found a bunch of threads with similar issues, but none of them seemed to have a solid resolution (lol). example: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2801228
using the standard hd video settings that came with elements, imported psds (huge 300dpi files that have always scaled well) and rendered text come out blurry. i'm using helvetica font.
the problem seems to occur when i render. i opened a new premiere file using hd settings, typed in text and it came out clear. then i pushed enter to render, it rendered and switched to low quality.

the video renders in the same quality. i burned to dvd and it looked exactly the same on a tv and pc.

there has to be something that i'm doing wrong. can someone please help?

Welcome to the forum.
You mention HD Presets. Could you tell us exactly which one you chose?
You say that you are using large PSD's. What are the pixel x pixel dimensions? Note: in video, DPI/PPI are totally meaningless and will be ignored - it is only the pixel x pixel dimensions that matter.
When you say Render (as the Enter key was mentioned), I assume that you are referring to Rendering for smoother viewing, and not Export. Is that correct?
When you do Export/Share, what are your settings there?
As for Titles, there was a link to an article in the link that you included. It addresses softness in Title text, in a DV Project. Did you follow that link? However, it appears that you are not working in a DV Project and are not authoring and Burning to DVD, but doing an Export to an HD file, for viewing on a computer. Is that correct?

Blurry pictures after render

I have over-layed 40 cropped pictures to make a collage. They are resolved and clear before render, but become blurry after I render. I have checked the resolution and have adjusted all photos to 100 dpi. Still blurry. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

we see this post about twice a week so you can search for similar terms and find tons of perhpas helpful information.
the main issues are:
1. DPI is meaningless in video, your video window is the size of yor sequence settings, usually DV, roughly 500x800 pixels.
2. Your big pictures are being scaled down to fit the video window specific to your format, which you do not mention, so, yes, lots of information is being thrown away and, yes, they're likely to look pretty awful compared to the originals.
3. Where you view the rendered output is critical for troubleshooting and you do not mention the device on which you are watching your rendered video.

Blurry shatter in render issue

I'm making an intro and in the RAM preview everything displays perfectly. However, after I've rendered it my comp seems to be blurred during a shatter effect towards the end, as can be seen here:
However, it's completely smooth with no blur in the RAM preview:
Is there any reason for this?
If it helps I've used multiple media players, including VLC, Windows Media Player and Quicktime. I've checked all the blurriness settings and everything in my render settings and have rendered this at least 10 times with different settings each time but it's giving me the same result.

Drag your clip or your AE project into the Adobe Media Encoder and then choose h.264 and the output type and use the Vimeo or YouTube preset for HD. That will give you multi pass compression and a data rate that should solve all of your problems.
If you recall from my first post "The output module setting you show uses H.264. I would never use H.264 from the Output Module because it cannot do multi pass compression. The data rate also pitiful which explains your first screenshot."
Mylenium also nailed it in his first response where he noticed the MP4 and low data rate. The AME will solve your problem.

Everything that happens to my sister's phone is happening to mine?!?! How can I stop it?

This happened randomly. My sister was text messaging her friend when all of a sudden I got the texts. On the message screen it showed text messages that "I" (but really my sister) had sent. When I asked who it was and who they were trying to talk to; they said they were trying to talk to my sister, and I realised some wires were crossed. Meanwhile my sister and I were both texting the same person and we could see each other's messages as if they were our own. I then texted my sister and recieved the same text I sent her (as if I was holding her phone getting a text from my phone, but they're the same phone). I then tried FaceTiming her on my Mac and recieved the option to answer the Facetime on my phone (as if I were calling myself). All our contacts have been merged, which has happened before when we were on the same iCloud account, but now we are on different accounts, so I have no idea what's wrong.

When we were texting the same person, it's as if I was my sister. So my sister could see my texts because I sent them as if I was her. In my messages area I have my contacts and her contacts.. and 2 if we have the same contacts (one chat is her chat with them and the other chat is my chat with them). So I have the option to text "Alene" (me) as Olivia (my sister), I also have the option to text "Olivia" as Alene. Where as she only has the option to text "Alene" as Olivia because she is Olivia.
Anyway thanks for the help. I realised that I was logged in on her FaceTime account under FaceTime (I dont know why that randomly changed). When I logged back into mine everything fixed itself so that must have been the issue. Thank you so much for your help! I hope my experience helps you out if you ever run into this situation again. LR5 - Photos in 2nd Display are blurry / don't render completely - intermittent issue

Just upgraded to Lightroom 5, and the performance issues I saw in 4 appear to be gone - which is awesome. I've come up on an issue that I've seen referenced in other posts, but only for LR4. Also, the issue seems to be slightly different than mine. My issue is that when I have the 2nd display running in Loupe mode, the image won't render completely and looks blurry/fuzzy, when in Develop mode on the first screen. However, it's not every time. Sometimes it works fine. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, and then it works. Sometimes, it doesn't ever work. It just sits in a blurry state - not fully rendered. Sometimes if I go to the next photo, and then back, it will then load. Sometimes that doesn't work.
While I did have tons of performance issues in LR4 (including 4.3 and 4.4), this was not something I remember seeing.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, i7 2600-K, 24gb RAM, multiple SSDs.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem in LR5
Selecting another picture and coming back usually fixes the problem.

Font Smoothing makes everything blurry

I just tried Safari 3.1 beta for Windows Vista for the first time and found ALL levels of font smoothing to make my fonts blurry making it unusable. I use a 17" laptop lcd monitor and the "CRT" setting is the least blurry. Any way to turn this off completely?

Uh... why does version 3.01 not have this problem?
Wow. It boggles the mind. I'm not going to install 3.1 if the fonts look fine in 3.01.
I'm very unhappy with this development. What a joke.

File Error everything I try and render?

Just recently everytime I render, it never 100% completes it stops at about 94% and just comes up with File Error I/0? Which is quite frustrating? Any body else had this problem? I have double checked that I am rendering all and it is set to do that.

The use of the .WMV was because that was part of the Library .EM template. I would not anticipate problems with other formats, so long as they are supported and the same for all of your Menus in the Project.
If you have done several Motion Menu Renderings, you might want to clear Encore's Media Cache, just in case it is still referencing previous Render files.
And yes, the re-Importation should yield the same result as Linking/re-Linking.
Unfortunately, I do not have CS4, so I can't test this for you. There do seem to be a few real Bugs in the various CS4 programs, and maybe this is one?
That "File Not Found" rings a bell in my feeble brain. Seems that there was a post on that, but I do not remember it being related to Motion Menus. Maybe search will yield something of use.

PSD file blurry after render

I've posted this before and never could figure it out. It's only one PSD file that's doing it. I've tried changing the sequence settings to "render all yuv material in high precision yuv" and that did nothing. The vertical is divisible by 2, I checked and unchecked everything in the sequence render settings and my PSD still gets blurry after I render.
It's an 8-bit RGB and was originally an Illustrator file (RGB as well) that I converted to a PSD's. I have 13 other files and so far I've tried 2 others and they get blurry as well, but not as bad as this particular one. Please HELP!

Mike, you're probably right. But I seem to have this problem whenever I bring in psd's. And I keep trying things until something works. Unfortunately, I don't do this often enough to remember what the solution is. Perhaps editing the psd into a seperate sequence with field dominance set to none and then edit that sequence into your complete sequence. I know that I've solved this problem, just can't remember how. but resetting the field dominance to none will at least show the OP if he's on the right track.
I'll try the freeze frame thing next time, if I can remember....

Blurry Text during Dissolves

I am making simple text from the built-in text generator (white text on black background). I put it in my timeline, and it looks great. I add the "Dip to Color" transition, and render everything in the render all pull-down menu...but still my text looks fuzzy during the transition. It's an obvious jump at the first frame of the transition. I have checked everything, rendered everything. I notice that this doesn't happen during a fade in and out. What's the deal here? Field Dominance? I'm at a loss. This project can be delivered with this problem in it...it's just that I really want to know how to fix it.

First off, I suggest you use title3D instead of the simple text generator. title3d allows you to resize and reposition without any loss of quality using the control tab.
Are you sure you're rendering everything. Check your render settings in the "sequence" menu (I think). You have to make sure this is configured properly.
Try this: Export a selfcontained quicktime of the section with sequence settings. Import it back in. Does the loss in quality still occur? If not, you haven't rendered it within the sequence.
Also, you might try keyframing the opacity of the title to fade it in and out.

Blurry / Pixelated R3D images in Premiere CC 2014

FYI, for anyone else (like me) who has experienced pixelation / blurry images when viewing certain R3D files on the timeline or in the source window in Premiere CC 2014: this issue can be solved by right clicking on the problem clip(s) in the timeline or in the project files panel, selecting "Source Settings," and clicking "Save to RMD." You'll see the image become fully sharp again immediately.
This blurriness happens even when the still and playback resolution settings are set to "Full" in the program and source windows, and it isn't fixed by adjusting sequence settings. It was still visible even after exporting to Quicktime files, which created a huge headache for us as we tried to figure out what we were doing wrong in our sequence or export settings. Turns out both of them were fine, it was just this "Save to RMD" glitch.
An Adobe staff member replied and said they will fix this in around a month: Red footage pixelated on Import into AE.

Update: Unfortunately it's not all good news.
Trying to render out to H.264 wiht Mercury CUDA still gives a crash rendering with the typically uninformative 'Unknown Error'. Software rendering does not, but it's very slow.
Miraizon Codec and the Premiere native Cineform also crash with 'unknown error'. However I can render out using Cineform Mov at 12bit using my registered copy of Cineform. Not fast, about 1/8 real time.

To render, or not to render ... exporting to a Master File question.

What's the best workflow with regards to rendering? Specifically:
Will exporting to a Master File do exactly the same amount of rendering as selecting 'Render All', and then exporting to a Master File?
If so, if I render all my clips / transitions first and then export to a Master File, should it export very quickly (as no further rendering is required)? I appreciate this will use up more disk space as it will have to create all the render files, and then create a 'flattened' version of the whole project in the Master File.
If I've understood things correctly so far, is it generally best to render everything before exporting to a Master File? Otherwise if you had created the Master File from an un-rendered timeline, but then needed to tweak a tiny part of the project, you would have to re-render everything when exporting the Master File again?

I don't know to be honest I'm thrilled with the newfound speed of this machine, everything just happens so much faster! In the end I re-rendered my entire project, and what took almost 3 days of practically 24-hour rendering on my old laptop (running overnight, taking the computer to work with me and letting it run during the day), this new machine finished the whole thing in 3 hours!
By the way, I've been using the G-Drive Mini 1TB 7200rpm drives and find they perform extremely well over USB 3:

The infamous render question

I've read several posts concerning rendering and so far none of the answers have helped me. I have both red and yellow bars over my timeline so I know I need to render. When I go to render, the render bar pops up for a second then goes away (and doesn't render anything.) EVERYTHING in the Sequence > Render menu is checked.
Why won't it render?

Just so we can knock out the obvious, have you checked all render types in "Render All" and "Render Selection"? If you don't select anything and try to render a selection you may get the result you're getting, although a quick check in FCP 5.1 on my machine started to render the whole timeline.
On another track try the "auto render" feature in the "User Preferences / General". Turn it on and see if your video renders.

Problem with render

Hello I need your help very urgently , because I have to deliver today a movie that I'm doing in Premiere and i'm having some problems .
I have looked in another forums and can not find the solution to my problem .
I did a project and the timeline that has a graphic (square) on top of the actual image and see right before you render . The worst thing is that when I render the graphic logo loses definition . The square set no longer appears , appears a line around and ghost.
I Repeat, without the render or delete files render, the image appears to me excellent . This only happens after render.
Already activated the option "Render at maximium quality", but the problem continues.
How can I resolve this issue?
