Everything but iPhoto...help!
I have an Unraid (network NAS) holding movies, music, and photos. I have movies and music working fine. Movies is using an alias and music I have moved my library to the unraid and it works fine.
iPhoto on the other hand is being a bit of a pain. I have moved my library (option click on iPhoto) to the unraid as well. All of my photos show up correctly in iPhoto but not in Front Row. Front Row shows nothing under any category, just error messages. I think I did everything correct, any help is appreciated. I do not want to have to locate all of these files onto one of my macs just to share photos.

My iphone syncs with everything except iphoto.
It used to be able to do it, but has now stopped.
I'm trying to sync photos so I can upgrade my phone, and keep all my photos taken with my old phone.
But I cannot get the photos from my phone to my computer because when I link my phone to my mac iphoto doesn't recognise it at all.
Any ideas?
ThanksLots of folks fix these kinds of issues with a simple restart of the phone. Others require a Reset of the phone.

every time I try to export photos from mac mini iphoto to snapfish is says check network connection, but the internet is working great. I have updated everything i can think of please help.
Several people including myself are having the same issue and have contacted HP and Apple. Quite frankly, I'm surprised it's been an issue for so long being that photos uploaded to Snapfish = $$$. Lets hope they can work this one out, as of now, there apparently is no solution.

Ipod cannot be seen in itunes or my computer, have tried everything, but no help :(
i just bought a new ipod and connected to the computer, it said installed, but i can't see it anywhere in itunes nor my computer, now what do i do ? i've tried ALL Apple help methods and this is my last hope before i return my product.
hi i also have the same problem as movie star.. n i have tried what u suggested just wondered if you had any other suggestions?! as everything i could thing of tryin doesnt seem to work, and on some of the things apple website tells you to do is so confussin as it says stuff like wen your ipod shows up in itunes, but tat doest happen lol. well if you have any suggestions please share. x

IPhoto 08 files are invisible to everything but iPhoto
I am having a tough time figuring out where my photos are located in iPhoto. I am on an 08 version and using LR5. Any help would be appreciated.
From finder you need to be in Pictures (not the application) and control- click on iPhoto Library.
Older versions of iPhoto uses an Originals folder and in later versions; Masters. It’s not a good idea to go messing with the structure as it could corrupt the iPhoto Library. Apple has made this structure for good reason; so that you can always use the revert command to go back to an original, even if you have edited in iPhoto using cropping or red eye removal, for example.
However, if you have no further use for iPhoto, you could consider moving your originals/masters to a new folder structure (iPhoto automatically creates dated sub-folders) and then importing to Lightroom. Alternatively if you still need iPhoto, export duplicates to the desktop and bring those into Lightroom. That will keep iPhoto safe.
I do actually use iPhoto for creating events which can then be used to make cool slideshows within iPhoto. However Lightroom is my main management and photo editing tool and I have created an export pre-set for sending jpegs into iPhoto. I have even dragged the iPhoto Library off the hard drive to an external hard drive - but that means keeping it connected when using iPhoto.

i bought a new MacBookPro moved everything from old MacBookPro, new machine runs 10.6.7 - but iPhoto won't 'upgrade' the library - just hangs up supposedly while writing new library. help. thanks.
How did you "move everything" over?
Migration assistance does not handle the iPhoto library well sometimes - the best way is to drag the bad iphoto library from the pictures folder on the new system to the desktop, connect the two systems together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old system to the pictures folder of the new system and launch iPhoto on the new system - it will open and convert the iPhoto library as necessary and you will be fine - once you test the iPhoto library you can delete the one on the desktop

Ok so I updated to iOS 7 on my iPod (5th) it let me update my apps but I cannot download new apps thanks to the terms and conditions. Also my iTunes won't start it just blank, I tried everything I need help
Did you download the new iTunes update that was also released this afternoon? That might be the problem. The new iTunes update came out today as well as the new iOS 7 update and if you haven't downloaded the new iTunes update it may be a compatibility problem so if you didn't, first update to the new iTunes and try again.

Help I think when I went to restore my ipod touch the date was wornign on the ipod and not it is stuck in recovery moder and I keep getting Error 9. I have tried everything but nothing works can someone help me?

my ipod touch is disabled for 22 million minutes and I want to fix it but I dont want to lose my pictures and everything else. Help please I dont remember the last time I updated it. Idk I think its been a year in an half since I known about it being disabled. What do I do? Im scared to restore it because I dont want to lose my stuff.
You have to restore and thus erase your iPod. that is how it works.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Iam not able to share internet in windows 8 from my macbook air...though my iphone ipad is connected to the hotspot well..tried everything but it seems to be different from windows 7 and other microsft operating systems setting. help!!

Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from? What happens when you try to launch iPhoto? Do you get any warnings, when iPhoto upgraded the library?
I have tried everything but my library is empty.
What have you tried already?
Where did you store your iPhoto library? On an external drive or your system drive?
iPhoto will create a new, empty library, if it cannot open or find your previous iPhoto library.
If you upgraded from iPhoto '08 or earlier, the iPhoto library needs to be prepared with iPhoto Library Upgrader. See this link: iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader
If you got error messages during the upgrade of the library, restore your iPhoto Library from your most current backup. -

Try a different port on the computer.
Does the iphone beep when u plug it up. ?
Plug iphone into computer and give it 3 to 4 minutes to see if it connects and is running slow.,
Delete the apple mobile device from your computer.
Upgrade itunes to newest version.
Is you USB cord defective ?
Any USB 3.0 on your system ? .
Delete or Disable any antivirus program on your computer ?
I will tell u the problem is your computer not the phone.

try connecting to another wifi network to isolate the issue. at this point it's impossible to tell if it's your phone or your network

My ipod says theres headphones in but there isnt ive tried everything but nothing works help!!!
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
