Everything but one season of one show sync

I have a 1st generation Apple TV.  I've had issues with it syncing before, but turning it off and back on has always seemed to fix those issues.
I just bought a whole season of a show.  It shows up in iTunes and I can play it there fine.
When I select it to sync it with my Apple TV, it never transfers it.  In addition, when I try to stream it to my Apple TV, it doesn't show up in the list (neither the Unplayed or Played list), even though all the other shows that are on my iTunes show up perfectly fine.  I have tried to shut down and reboot everything, even reset my Apple TV and tried to start from scratch.  This one season just never shows up on the Apple TV in any form.
When I tried to sync the first episode to my iPad or iPhone, it acts as if it synced it, even shows up in the list of videos, but it won't play on either device.  I tried the second episode and now both play perfectly fine on both devices.  Yet, they still won't sync or show up for streaming on the Apple TV.  All the other seasons of the same series play perfectly fine every where.

In iTunes go to TV Shows. Right click on the episodes and select "Get Info" and edit the fields so the bad episodes match the good episodes and they should resort properly.

  • Syncing everything on one computer, syncing music on another.

    Right now I have 2 macbook pros, an older one I use for all my music since I use it to Dj. The other laptop I use to currently sync my iPad.
    Is there a way I can sync just music from the second laptop? I worry that if I plug it into the second laptop, it will wipe everything.

    The message I get is that my computer is not authorised but when I go into store - authorize etc it tells me that my computer is already authorised.
    Am I missing something? This has never been a problem before.

    Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
    Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
    Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there.

    I recently had a problem with my iPhone 3G.  I upgraded to OS 5.1.1.  The thing crashed.  I took it to the AT&T store and they cleared it of everything.  So I re-installed all of my personal stuff and apps.  All is again OK with the exception of the calendar.  It will not sync with my home computer and is blank. How do I correct this?

    Paul--you are a life-saver!! Worked great. I did have to look around to make sure I was getting 4.9 instead of 4.7 (even when the file was named 4.9 at techspot.com), but I finally got the right file, did the install as you suggested, and everything is now fine. One note, though, that I haven't seen mentioned in any of this thread: when I first tried to open up iTunes after getting back to 4.9, the following message appeared: "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I merely went to the old .itl file that was created when I did the update to iTunes 5, renamed it, moved it over to my now new 4.9, and iTunes opened fine. My library was a few days out of date, because of the few days' lag from the time I did the iTunes update, but that was easily taken care of, and everything's now working fine. Thanks again!!!

  • I have two Apple IDs, and this is causing problems with syncing via iCloud. How do I move everything to one ID? All advice is for setting up, not for after it's already set up.

    My problem is that I have been a Mobile Me user for the past couple of years, and because of that a second Apple ID was generated in addition to the one I've been using for years. When iCloud was introduced last fall I did everything I was supposed to in setting it up, but it is evident that the syncing is not working as it should. In checking, I am certain this is because I now have two active Apple IDs. I would assume this is a common issue with all who were/are Mobile Me users.
    The online help says you can't merge two IDs. Okay. What I want to do is to get rid of the Moble Me ID and only use my regular Apple ID. But the help on that issue seems to only give instructions for setting up the iCloud account. It seems that when I go into my iCloud accounts, both on my iPhone and my Mac, I can view the ID but there is no way to change them to another ID or to eliminate the account.
    Please help. I am a long-time Apple user and this really should be a fairly simple matter to take care of, but this is one issue where the normally user-friendly Apple way of life is giving me fits. Thanks.

    I am logged into the same things on both my iPhone and my MacBook Pro, except for mail. I use a gmail IMAP account and everything there already works on both machines. The iCloud account on my iPhone uses one Apple ID and the one on the Mac uses the second Apple ID.

    Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
    By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
    In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
    You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
    Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.
    The procedure to restore the file once you have it on removable media or some other convenient place is described in this article: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].

    redownload it,, either by syncing with iTunes or directly from your phone using the app store.

    Hello, I have a similar question to a previous post about desaturating specific colors. I'm editing together live footage from multiple cameras for a Concert shoot and two of the four have black clothing showing up as a "purple-y red". How can I select only a specific range of colors in one locked area (So as not to affect the lights in the background which are displaying the proper red/purple colors) and adjust it to be more black without making the entire shot look overly colored/contrasted?
    Sorry if this is easy but I'm new to Color and FCP wasn't much help w/ it's simple color correction effects.

    You want to keep the iTunes ID since that is the one that you make purchases with. That should be your primary Apple ID email address.
    Go to. Settings>FaceTime>Tap your ID and sign out. Then sign in with the iTunes/Apple ID email address.

    You don't mention anything about the music files on your computer that were used to copy into iTunes. If you have moved those files to a different location on you PC you will get that error message from iTunes. This is because iTunes will look for the music files in the original location that they came from on your PC when they were copied. If this is the case you have to tell iTunes to look in the new location for the music files or move the music files back to the original location.

    You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
    Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
    If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
    Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
    Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
    To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar

    I had this problem too, I fixed it by going to my settings and under general at the bottom there is a reset option, go there. One of the options should be reset network settings, select that one. I’m not sure why it happens but that worked for me; hope you have the same luck!
