Everything is Blank

Windows 7, Firefox 4
Absolutely everything is blank. Web pages will not load, menus are blank, dropdown of menus are blank, no icons, no nothing.
The only fix for this is to uninstall the program and then reinstall it, because even Safe Mode is blank. Only after reinstalling the program from uninstalling it first will the program somewhat work when the installer opens it. If the program is closed by any means: regular close or killing the process, Opening it again goes back to blank everything.
I adore Firefox, and would like to continue using it. However, I'm at my wits end and am considering trying something else. Say opera or whatever.
If there is an older version that I can use, then by all means POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF WHERE IT IS PLEASE! *begs*

use 3.6.16, if your pc is not quite new, for example you bought it before year 2005.

    It's been a while but it should work on a Mac because Macs can read Windows formatted devices. Otherwise, you can perform a restore operation to return it to the Mac format. If you go to support.apple.com/manuals/ you can find a copy of the user manual for the model you have in which this is all explained.

  • After pulling pictures into slide show -- when hit run ... everything is blank

    I created a slide show from organizer.  
    All the pictures are there, pan and zoom selected, etc.   Then when I try and preview it - there is nothing on the scree
    n it is blank.  the bottom layout shows the movement from one picture to the other but the slide show picture
    is not working.   I tried to just take the show to file .. which I did.  when i then tried to run the .wmv file .. same thing ...
    everything was blank.

    This black for the image on the preview screen seems to happen if you are missing some type of Windows authorization or permissions.
    Playback in the Slide Show Editor in the Preview seems to require additional Windows authorization or permissions: a black screen in the Preview area while there is movement of the thumbnail images below during playback is the symptom of the problem.
    -- running from a Windows userid which has administrator authority usually (but not always) avoids this problem.
    -- if the userid administrator authority is not sufficient in your particular case, then try starting PSE by right clickin on its desktop icon and choosing Run as Administrator (which does have a different effect than administrator authority of the userid).

    For a question like this is good to post both the version of Photoshop Elements and the version of the Windows operating system.
    Because this specific problem can happen with both multiple PSE versions and different Windows versions, I went ahead and posted guidance. 

  • Cannot open formscentral window too big; everything turns blank

    I am super-frustrated!  I have been using formscentral for almost a year with no problems.  Now, I can only open formscentral in the smallest of windows to be able to view the data inside; if I try dragging the window bigger, the window turns blank!  I'm not sure what to do to fix the problem.  Please advise.  I am a long-time paying Adobe customer!  This is not ok.

    Let's see if I can help - first thought is to try changing the browsers "zoom" level, you can do this through the web browsers menu or using "Crtl++" and "Crtl+-" (so that is Crtl and the + sign for zoom in, and Crtl and the - sign for zoom out).
    Also, have you tried another web browser?
    What operating system and web browser are you using?

    There's a big message from Mozilla in my Inbox that asks for involvement . . . I am not able to do that; I have no expertise. I only want to be able to open my Inbox, read messages, reply to messages, and store those I want to store in local folders. But Mozilla's notice of Thunderbird's 10th birthday is blocking me from doing anything . . . I can't even close out of it (there's no 'x!'). Please help!

    In the Thunderbird Menu, check these settings:
    View|Folders|All
    View|Layout|Folder Pane
    No menu? Hold down the <alt> key, tap V.

           We need to load all the data from R/3 QA dev to BW Dev, and we all the data sources in NRSA5 but in NRSA6 , there is nothing , everything is blank. Now If I'm trying to see all that I have in nrsa5(of QA) in Nrsa6 , what should I be doing??

    RSA5 = Datasources delivered
    RSA6 = Datasources active in your system.
    If you see everything in RSA5 but nothing in RSA6, it means that they have not been activated. If this is the QA system, then we generally transport the datasources from Dev, rather than activating in QA.

    I had the same problem and best determination is that it is the version 10.4.1.  I had to go back to 10.3.  a previous poster gave the best recommendation.  Their steps that worked for me was:
    Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
    2.  Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
         a. iTunes
         b. QuickTime
         c. Apple Software Update
         d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
         e. Bonjour
         f.  Apple Appllcation Support
    3.  Reboot PC
    4.  Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
    If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes.  To correct this:
    5.  Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
    6.  Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
    7.  Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
    8.  Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date.  It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
    9.  Reboot PC

  • Excel Print preview stopped working and when save as pdf, pdf is blank

    excel home and student 2011
    i was working on 2 documents for our accountant.
    created one in excel, converted to pdf
    created second one in excel, converted to pdf
    there was maybe a 30 minute time lapse between these 2 files...tops
    the first file does in fact have a print preview, and the pdf opens and is viewable.
    HOWEVER, on the second file, there is no print preview, and pdf is blank.
    (although the printer does in fact print the file with all the words and whatnot on it...)
    blank pdf prints blank.
    i tried xlsx, and xls to pdf, and nothing works.
    it seems that all of the files created before this troublesome one can be converted and seen in print preview....even if i add a new sheet to the workbook, that works just fine...can print preview and convert pdf no problems.
    now, when i try to do that with the second file, or any new excel doc, i canNOT convert or print preview....everything is blank.
    one minute it was working, the next it's not.
    it works for some excel files while not working for newer ones.
    nothing was changed in preferences for excel, preview, or the printer, unless i accidentally typed a keyboard command that would allow this to happen.
    i REALLY need to be able to convert excel to pdf!  and i really don't want to have to print them out just to scan them in and save the scans as pdf...not fun.
    i have been researching, or trying to research this here,and it seems that there is a known bug for office 2008, or for a different OS, but none of the work arounds for those issues are helping me here!
    someone, please help me get my save as pdf back!!!!

    Try different page setups and layouts.  Reinstall the Office fonts, or check for new patches from Microsoft.     Check in Microsoft Office forums.   Mind you PDF from preview and print are not as complete as Adobe Acrobat Pro, and are based on open source PDF standards.  I don't know how well the standards were at the time your Office application was written, or if 10.5's PDF standard was up to Office's snuff, or if you updating to the latest available Adobe Acrobat Reader  and Plugin will help, but between Office's and Adobe's forum you may be abl eto find an answer.

  • Hyperion 9.3.1 - Workspace - HFM screen is blank and no option from toolbar

    We have a user that, all of a sudden, gets a blank screen when they log on to HFM via workspace. She's able to see everything in Explore and Planning, just not HFM. Also, she is able to retrieve the data through Smartview so it's not a security issue.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I would, but don't know how to insert a screen shot into here (won't allow me to cut & paste).
    Basically, when she logs in, it defaults to Explore and she is able to run any report (HFM or Planning based) in there and see the data.
    Under Navigate (or File--> Open), she can go to Applications --> Planning --> able to open the planning application and see all rules, forms, etc.
    Under Navigate (or File --> Open), she can go to Applications --> Consolidation --> able to open HFM, and she can see the menu bar (Navigate, File, View, Favorites, Tools, Help...), BUT no options underneath each menu option. They're not greyed out, they're just not shown. In the View Pane, you can see the buttons to switch the view from Project to Browser View, and the drop down box is visible in the Project view, but again everything is blank.

  • My Settings menu is Blank in windows 8.1

    Hi, I can see all my adobe products when I log in to the creative cloud. However, as I use my personal computer and my work computer at the sametime, I wanted to disable the CC on my personal computer at start up. Well, I cannot. There is no visible menu. Everything appears blank! I tried reinstalling the c cloud around five times. I tried changing the name of one of the files as mentioned in one forum and it did not help. Does anyone else have this problem with windows 8.1?

    I get exactlly the same squre with a warning sign. Never goes away. I have to open the task manager to close it. I even tired the solution from an other blog to use the adobe cleaner. It was a waste of time. Nothing. I hope they release an update soon. I wonder if they try this on different computers. We're not supposed to become computer experts if we pay. They are supposed to update the cloud or make a new one for windows 8.1. I have enough work at work to have to fix problems for other companies.

  • All cd's are seen as blank cd's

    I'm not exactly sure what the issue is and every time new information is discovered, it gets even weirder. So I put in a blank cd. pcmanfm shows a blank cd. So far so good. I burn a cd and it's successful. The cd ejects and I put it back in to test it out. The cd is still blank. I try to burn it again and the program freezes. I close it out, toss the cd and try again. Same thing. I start trying to diagnose the problem and start with the obvious. I pop in a regular cd and it says it's blank. I boot into my windows partition and it still says it's blank. I grab another computer and try one of the cd's I burned and it plays perfectly well. I checked my BIOS and there's not really any relevant settings. I'm at a complete loss. I have no idea what would cause a cdrom drive to see everything as blank but still be able to burn. Any ideas?

    Thank you for the response but I believe I figured out what the problem was!! I ran a virus scan and it ends up I had a trojan virus. My virus scan contained the virus and I try to import cds again and it worked! Not sure if this was the true reason or not but it works again and I am happy!

  • Calendars Blank, Accounts not showing up

    It all started when my corporate accounts password changed and I started getting a password error with Calendar. Then, I tried changing the password and it worked... sorta. Next I started seeing errors related to not being able to update existing calendar items on the exchange server. I had seen several different sources recommend deleting the Calendar Cache file in ~/Library/Calendars so, I tried that and then when I re-opened Calendar, all the accounts disappeared. When I open Calendar Preferences --> Accounts, within Calendar (not Internet Accounts in System Preferences), everything is blank. When I try re-adding an existing calendar accounts, say an exchange calendar, from within Calendar, nothing changes in Calendar and, no new calendars appear. Looking within System Preferences shows all my active accounts and the options are checked for calendar for each account. My question is, short of creating a new user on my Mac, how can I reset and restore the links between the Internet Accounts data and the Calendar app, so that my calendars are working again? Any thoughts or information on the way Internet Accounts (in System Preferences) and Calendar interact (config files, plist files, defaults system entries, etc) are appreciated!

    Leave the preferences set to Show in Finder. To burn a disc from iTunes, create/select the playlist you want to burn, and then select File menu > Burn playlist to disc (note: not Back up to disc). iTunes will prompt you to insert a blank disc and then burn to it.
