Everything is kind of "glitchy." Text doesn't type smoothly, nor can I scroll smoothly. What's going on?

It's also affecting Netflix anytime I try to stream stuff. It kind of skips (best way I can describe it). I tried reinstalling Firefox, and it worked for about a day, and now I have the problem again. Not sure what's causing it.

The iPhoto Videos do occasionally have problems. I've seen a lot of people write messages to this Discussion group describing similar problems. The only thing that seems to get around this problem is to pull the video clips out of iPhoto then import them directly into iMovie. Once the troubles with iPhoto Videos starts, I haven't yet seen anyone write back with something that they did to fix it.
The most difficult part of doing this is the movies in iPhoto might be a little difficult to track down. But you can create a smart alum that does that for you. Go to iPhoto > File Menu > New Smart Album:
Set the first pulldown menu to keyword, second to contains, then in the last box type Movie with a capital 'M'. Then click OK. This smart album more or less does as search of the whole iPhoto Library and only displays items that match your search tearm of "Movie" exactly. In that smart album then you can find the original Movies you want to move out of iPhoto and into iMovie, <CTRL> click on the Movie clip, then choose Reveal in Finder. That will jump you out of iPhoto temporarily and into the iPhoto Library folder. From there you can move that movie file to the desktop. Move all the clips you want, once they're all collected up go to iMovie and go to the File Menu > Import Files. Then point it to the desktop where you moved your video clips.
This will put all those videos into an Event folder in iMovie and bypass iPhoto Videos altogether.

The candy crunch icon disappeared off my phone the other day. I try to redownload it through the App Store, but it doesn't give me the option. Will only let me open it and I can resume play. What's going on? All other apps still there.

It sounds like the application you are looking for is indeed still on your iPhone. You can confirm this by searching in the Spotlight Search for this application. It may have accidentally been moved to a folder, or an additional Home screen:

I just installed lion on my macbook pro it doesn't let me log into my username. so what im going to do is to restore it and reinstall lion any help on how to do it correctly tho??

so i installed lion on my friends macbook pro and it didn't let me log into his personal username like after you turn it on it just hilghts his name and the bar to type in his password doesn't show you. so what i was thing is to back up his personal hard drive and restoring it and try to reinstall lion.. from a momory stick that i have put lion on as my personal copy. any way on doing it better or how to restore the mac and be able to reinstall lion plz help.

Without knowing what exactly has gone wrong it is difficult to be precise, but it sounds a bit like you are attempting to install YOUR copy of Lion on your friend's machine?
I'm not sure the licence allows you to do that.
IF you are attempting to install a legitimate copy of Lion on his machine, then I would suggest you try again. That sometimes works.
Do you / he have a backup?
Have you tried starting from the recovery disk and repairing the hard drive etc.?

Having issues with text etc. shifting in preview. Any ideas as to what is going on here?

When I place type or other items on a page, they shift in Muse preview and when previewing in a browser. Size and placement of the text are incorrect. Why are these items not lining up as they did in the Design panel in Muse? I even tried creating a blank page with only some text center to make sure it wasn't something else in my page. One would think this would be a basic feature of Muse. Having items show up where you actually placed them. What am I missing here? My layout looks fine until I preview. I'm new to Muse, so maybe I'm missing something in my setup. Thanks in advance!
Looks fine here. This particular page has a full screen video background via a widget. But even on a blank page I have the same issue.
Then in Previewing it all shifts and the text seems scaled down.

This is for imessage and not text message, this can occur when people are sharing the same apple id.
On each devices go to settings - message - send&receive - either uncheck or remove the apple id.

TS3694 I keep on restoring my iPhone only to fail with it saying error 3002 has occurred. I have done everything I can do to try and get that out of the way. It still says error 3002 has occurred. Can someone tell me what's going on?

Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

Text Doesn't fit warning

I'm getting ready to order a book and am getting a message that the text doesn't fit. I can't find the page where the problem exists (no warning icon is visible) and when I did preview the page(s) were not revealed. Is there a way to find the offending text?

It might be just returns that are doing it. You'll have to go to each text box, move the cursor to the bottom of the text with the down arrow key and then use the Delete key until you delete the last character, which you can then replace.
As you experienced the text box with overflowing text will display a red warning triangle like this:

Thanks for the quick reply, but I already turned on Send as SMS and it still doesnt work. I have turned off imessage to see if that would help and restarted the phone a few times.

Text doesn't flow in some chapters

I purchased a third party template for my gardening and photography book. Most of my chapters are 2 -5 pages long. I select a chapter in "Layouts" and paste my copy from Word and add my photos. Sometimes the copy appears on the second page in the Book Outline Chapter segment, and other times it doesn't. But the text I formatted in the Layout has everything as I wrote and designed it. I am obviously doing something wrong but cannot figure out what. The video on linking text doesn't help. Thank you for any thoughts.

I think Fabe's answer in the Forum helped me so I will try that tomorrow. I also meant to say that the 3rd party template folks said they were "with me 100% to answer any and all questions" have not responded.

Long text doesn't fit the window exactly

Hi friends,
in PO smartforms i have included the header text of PO.
the problem is the long text doesn't fit to the window exactly i.e.,
when we enter the text in PO in the header a line can contain only 60 characters approximately where as in my smartforms it can contain more than that.
so in the display of smart form i get lot of space in the right side and i get the remaining part of text in the next line.

Vendor text doesn't transfer from SRM PO to R/3

Good evening,
We are new in SRM SCE, we have a problem with the vendor text. In SRM appears this information and the PO is e-mailed correctly but when we review the PO in R/3 this information doesn't fill in. We don't know if the problem is in SRM or in R/3.
In BBP_PD the information, vendor text, is contained under TDID with the ITXT code. What can we review? We have take a look to some BADI (IF_EX_BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI~BBP_B46B_PO_OUTBOUND) in SRM but it comes with the data blocked and we can't change their contain, concretely CS_BAPI_POITEM_EXT.

Which scenario are you using in SRM?
Do you have a requisition created prior to the PO on the R3 side? If so, check and see if the text is there. Then, check the configuration on the R3 side to make sure the text on the requisition is adopted to the PO. Since the shopping cart is line item level, it will appear on the line item on the PO.

Problem started when I used Tech Tool Pro 6 to "de-fragment volume". Had to cancel that process before it finished because I ran out of time. Thereafter, when I startup my machine normally, I get the gray Apple logo at first, but it changes to a prohibited symbol (circle with a slash thru it) and hangs.
When I startup holding the Option key, I can see my internal drive, but I get the same results as above.
When I startup using the MacBook OSX Install DVD, it does not find my internal drive as possible destination.
When I startup using the MacBook OSX Install DVD and then run Disk Utility, it finds my drive, allows me to "repair" and says everything is fine.
When I startup with Command + S, I get a looping error message "errno = 19" and cannot stop it to do anything else.
When I startup from Disk Warrior v4.4, it does not find my internal drive to do any repairs.
When I startup from Tech Tool Pro 6 and run the "computer check" diagnostics, everything passes but the Volume Structure, which fails at "Volume Extents (B-tree)." When I use TTP's "Tools" option to run "volume repair" it will show my internal drive and allow me to click the GO button, but nothing happens and nothing changes.
I have a Time Machine backup on an external USB drive, but for as long as the internal drive doesn't mount, I can't use the backup to restore.

It's a false report and should be ignored.
I would not rely on TT as I've already said earlier even before Grant posted similar advice.
I really think the Rigid Disk Block may be corrupted. This holds the partition map and could prevent a volume from being unmounted. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix that without repartitioning the drive which will remove everything. So, before going down this road I hope you have backups or can make a backup.
Drive Partition and Format
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X.
5. Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Portal Doesn't Display page with text/plain content type

I created a WSRP portlet with text/plain content type and added it to my page, but I get the following error message:
Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception.
when I add the portlet to my page.
It works when I use text/html content, but text/plain doesn't work.
Any ideas how I can get my portlet to display in the portal?
