I had had my latency type changed from Interleaved to Fast. It was fine for over 3 months and now all of a sudden it has been changed back and my internet speed is slower than a snail.

Perhaps not only down to the change in latency type but, this is really annoying. My broadband is painfully slow. It has been disconnected every 5 minutes for the past 24 hours. I am yet to phone BT and ask them about this but will do tomorrow.
Downstream has dropped to 259 Kbps since the original post.

If other devices can connect to the network without problems, it means that the router can provide wireless internet. For this situation, an isolation process is needed to be able to find a fix.
Was the computer tested to connect through Wi-Fi before you bought it?
Did you do Mac address filter on your router?
Make sure that the router is using WPA/WPA2 or WPA2 encryption type just like what Chester has recommended. If your router is already set to that security type, you may test by disabling the wireless security of the WI-Fi router. Check if it will connect or not.
Another thing to check is the properties of your wireless connection. To do that, Go to Network and Sharing center > Click change adapter settings > right click “Wireless” > go to Properties> click Internet protocol IPV4> check the Properties button below > make sure that it’s set to both Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically.

about a month ago, Mavericks had an automatic update. I have a Windows 7 partition bootcamped on my macbook pro. Before the update, everything was fine. Now, when I attempt to start Windows partition, as soon as I touch the keyboard or mouse the screen goes black and I can't go any further. I have tried to re-load the bootcamp drivers and try again. It does the same thing. Any help would be great.

I just downloaded the new Mavericks everything was fine this morning then my screen went black as it usually does when I leave it for an hour or so. I usually push the on button once and it comes back this time it didn't. I hold the button down and it'll go off I hold the button down and I hear it make the start up sound but nothing comes on the screen it's totally black. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with downloading the new Mavericks does anybody have any ideas. Is there any way to reboot when you can't see what's on the screen. I believe it's coming on but I cannot put in my password because I cannot see where to type it in.
This is really unfortunate. I'm sorry that nothing works. I was going to mention holding down the power button and doing a force shutdown but you already did that. You might need to take it into the Apple store. I don't know if booting into safe mode would help. You would have to turn off the machine again, hit the start button and hold down the shift key after you hear the tone, but normally you would let go of the shift key when you see the apple logo and spining wheel. Maybe by holding down the shift key after you here the tone will cause the screen to come back on? The other option is to start up from the 'install disk' if your machine came with one. You would insert the disk, then shut down the computer, and hold down the C key right after hitting the start button.

I have elements 9 and just a day ago everything was fine but now all of a sudden any time I try to convert or save my project or even burn it to a DVD the program shuts down on me.

Is the crash/shutdown for this one specific project or does it occur in new projects as well?
On what computer operating system are you running Premiere Elements 9 and are you running Premiere Elements as the 9.0.1 Update?
In cases such as these, the first factor to rule in or out are the preferences/setting file. Here you want to delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file.
The directions to its location will vary with the operating system. So the operating system information is important to post. Some of the many factors

a. does the problem exist with and without antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
b. are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse.
c. does your computer need a clean up/clear out - is your computer optimized

When I open the Bonusprint software there is a window on the side with 'LIBRARIES' at the top and I can access my photos and albums from here. I can still see all my photos in the various albums etc., underneath and when I click on them they open as thumbnails underneath but iPhoto itself is still paralysed even after I quit the Bonusprint software. -
I purchased an unlocked iPhone4 last month. Everything was fine till yesterday. Where did you purchase it from? There are lots of iPhones sold as "unlocked" which are carrier locked phones that were hacked and are not officially unlocked. These phones are subject to re-locking to the original carrier, particularly when updated.

The problem appeared two days ago is that I can't open my mail app. everything was fine and functional. i ordered my iphone 6 plus space gray 128g on 10/20/2014. i was then given a 11/7 ship date. called on 11/6 to confirm as i received no update emails. verizon said everything was fine then got an email a few hours later saying they were out of supply and gave me a 11/21 ship date. guess what, i called again on the 19th and 20th to confirm and verizon said i was all set. oh yea got another email later saying 12/12 ship date!!! I looked in the My Orders section of my Verizon account this morning (12/22), My SG iPhone 6+ 1228GB is now listed under my Recent Orders and my card was charged yesterday, So I am thinking it will ship Monday morning. This is how the process went for my wife's S 64GB 6+ two weeks ago. This is an interesting turn of events since I was also one to receive the email on Thursday about it being pushed back to 12/12 I'll keep you all posted.

My itunes library had been fine. I had been using an older ipod nano to sync with my itunes library and had been doing manual syncs, with the preferences in itunes set for not allowing "ipods or iphones" to sync automatically. I found out that apple had a program to replace the battery on this older ipod nano, so I sent it in. It was great, they didn't have an exact replacement and sent me a later ipod nano. However, this ipod nano is so new - I will have to get a newer computer with a later operating system to use it.
So, I thought I'd use my old iphone to listen to my old playlists. I thought the preferences were set for not automatically syncing iphone to itunes.
I've had problems in the past with the syncs with this iphone and my computer because of the USB port (1.1). I'm thinking this was the problem.
The apple store did something to update the software on my iphone when it wasn't working one day. I think that when I tried to sync the iphone to the g4 cube via the old port (1.1) it basically wiped out everything on my itunes. Whatever was my selected playlist for my iphone - that was the only music
that remained on my computer and the iphone. I only had about 20 songs purchased on my library, but alot of music that had been downloaded, I gave away those original cds. I did have a back up on my external drive, but that thing died a few weeks ago from some random power outtages we had this fall.
I'm not looking to purchase retrieval software or have some outside third party to retrieve it for me. It's not that much music lost. I just wanted confirmation that this is what happened: that my old iphone sync is what erased the music.The old iTunes library was lost with the old PC. However, it all that music and content is still on your iPod there are many ways you can extract this content from the iPod and import it back into iTunes.
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the new PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
