Everything works in cascade except I can't access downstream WRT160N

I have a BEFSX41 Router as my main router. A WRT160N V3 is cascaded downstream LAN port to LAN port. It is all working just fine with one exception. I cannot access the WRT160N setup pages. I think* its IP address is 192.168.1.2. My browser's (Internet Explorer and Firefox) cannot connect via HTTP. I can access the BEFSX41 at 192.168.1.1 with any machine in my network. I cannot connect to the WRT160N with any machine. I cannot connect even with a PC connected directly to one of its LAN ports and nothing else connected. A PC connected to the WRT160N (wired or wireless) connects to the Internet just fine when the system is all hooked up.
DHCP is enabled on the BEFSX41, I think it is disabled on the WRT160N but without access to its setup pages I can't tell for sure. I have tried soft resets by powering the router on and off - no help. I have not tried a hard reset as I am concerned that I will lose all my settings and won't be able to get them back. When the system was put together two years ago it took several calls to Linksys tech support to get it all going.
* I think it is 192.168.1.2 because Norton Security Suite's Network Security Map reports it that way. My sketchy handwritten notes from 2 years ago also say 192.168.1.2 in some place but 192.168.2,1 in others. Anyway, all the above aplies if I try ..2.1 instead of 1.2 when trying to access the WRT160N web page.

Mr/Ms. Dibbler – Thank you for your help. I reset the WRT160N to factory default and followed your instructions resetting it to 192.168.1.2 with wireless. It all seems to be working well and I can access either router from any PC. Now for some “fine tuning”.
I guessed at some of the wireless settings and would appreciate your review:
1) Network Mode – I used Mixed rather than Wireless G only even though my 2005 Toshiba laptop only works in B/G but not N. (The laptop is my only wireless device).
2) Bandwidth – I used 20 MHz, not Auto 20-40Mhz
3) Channel – I set it at Auto, I think the router selected Channel 6. Will it stay there?
4) Encryption - I used WPA Personal rather than WPA2 Personal because of the age of my equipment – correct decision?
5) IEEE 802.1x authentication is not enabled on my laptop, the setup tab is grayed out. Is this a problem?
More generally, how does one change the User Name and password used to access the routers via http? They are set to the blank User name and admin password. I don’t see anywhere in the many setup pages where it can be changed.
MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) is set at AUTO on the WRT160 and it is disabled on the BEFSX41. Is this okay?
NAT is enabled on both routers, Dynamic routing is disabled on both.
UPnP is enabled on the WRT160n but disabled on the primary BEFSX41 router. Okay?
DMZ is disabled on both routers, I do not do any gaming.
Considering that all is working well, should I update my firmware? My WRT160N firmware is at 3.0.02 build 4, you have 3.0.03 available. The BEFSX41 is at 1.50.18, you have 1.52.16.4.

Did the iPod get wet by the hair product and probably cause a problem due to the liquid or is there some thing on the front camera lens that prevents the camera from seeing? How does the camera not work?
If liquid damage I doubt YOU can fix it but you can have Apple fix it or a third-party place. If lens is obstructed you may be able to polish the area.

Everything works on phone except for SMS and MMS

I just activated my Droid Razr Maxx after breaking my previous phone. I followed the instructions for activation and the phone appeared to be working just fine. I can make phone calls, surf the internet using WiFi or 4G, use Facebook, download apps, etc. Everything is working great on my phone except for texting, which includes regular text messages as well as multimedia messages. If I send an SMS I get an error message saying "Unable to send msg! Retry sending?" and if I try to send a picture message I get a message saying "Invalid Destination Address." If I try to send a text to myself from the Verizon website I get an error saying that the "Message is undeliverable." I also understand that people can't text me from their phones. I've tried various fixes like *228, rebooting my phone, deleting all my text history, but nothing seems to work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I have had my ipad in Mexico for 3 weeks. For the first two weeks it worked great. Suddenly I can't access my itunes, my ibooks, facetime, etc. At first I thought the problem was with items I was trying to purchase but it is more than that. Ideas???

As i stated initially, everything worked great for two weeks. The first problem I noticed was not being able to open Itunes. It would seem to load, click to a blank screen, and then go back to my icon page. The problem has spread to include anything that I want to browse and purchase, such as apps. Last night I found I could not use facetime either. Also I cannot use my NPR app. It downloads but when I touch an article I would like to read, the screen goes black and then returns to my original icon page.Not knowing what anything has to do with the problem, I have noticed that there are several apps that are in the process of being updated but will NOT update: Pinball Wizard, ibooks, Where's My Water, The Daily, and Pandora Radio. I am in Morelia, Mexico. We have a good internet provider. That does not seem to be the problem. When I purchased my Ipad, I was told that it was usable internationally. Is that the problem? Any suggestions or advice? All will be appreciated. Thanks!

today i try to access my iCloud but the password that works for my Appstore, it doesnt work in iCloud, i tried to reset the password, but still the same.
Sometimes it shows wrong email or incorrect password and sometimes it shows "You can't sign in because of a server error." iCloud status, i clicked on the status but it leads me to blank iCloud help page with nothing that can actually solve my current problem.

Although your symptoms aren't mentioned in the document, I'd try the following document with that one:

Have you tried a "hard reset"? If so, I would take the phone to an Apple store. If not,
1. Make sure the phone is OFF
2. Hold the HOME button and then press the power button and HOLD IT.
3. Hold both buttons until the phone comes ON, goes OFF and come ON again (about 45 seconds)
4. Re-sync with iTunes.

Hi Thanks for reply i found the problem my self ... The tomcat is abustlly running other wise it can't run local host. in my previous the i write by char due to this when its write in a file its crate spaces between every character then i use Buffer and i solve it :)

Windows 7 Won't work with GT704WGB - Connects, but can't access internet or ping router

Upgraded my Verizon DSL.
I replaced an old WireStream DLS router and NetGear wireless access/router with Verizon's GT704WGB.
After I replaced it, Wireless connections from Windows 7 no longer work.
Help. Any ideas?
1. The GT704WGB installation seemed to be easy and successful.
2. I have 3 devices and 4 operating systems
    a. An iPhone - It connects to my wireless network and works fine.
    b. An Acer lap-top running Windows XP service pack 2 - It connects to my wireless network and works find.
    c. An Hp Pavilion lap-top running Ubuntu Linux
         i. It connects to router via cable and works fine.
        ii. It connects to router wirelessly and works fin.
    d. The same Hp Pavilion when booted to Windows 7 doesn't work wirelessly. :-(
         i. It connects via cable to router and works fine
        ii. When I disconnect cable and connect wirelessly IT DOESN'T WORK. :-(
What happens is Windows reports the the wireless adapter has connected to the network, but says it is NOT CONNECTED TO INTERNET. Further I can't ping the router, 192.168.1.1. I have checked the IP4 properties and settings for the adapter. They seem
fine.
1. Adapter has an address on the network.
2. DHCP is enabled.
3. Gateway is provided automatically by DHCP
4. DNS is provided automatically by DHCP.
Pinging router gets no response. Attempting to resolve a name, www.google.com reports unable to resolve name.
All of this works perfectly when directly cabled to router.
Any help with how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated.

Solved my own problem. Sorry for the spam. :-)
Windows does not support multiple gateways. I had foregotten I had a 2nd wireless access point/router plugged into the network (Cisco/Linksys E1000). That router had been working fine in combination with old SpeedStream DSL router from Verizon, but apparently it introduced a second gateway address which was in conflict with GT704WGB.
Solution:
1. Unplug Cisco E1000. Reset it to factory settings by pushing red button.
2. Plug Cisco E1000 back into network.
3. Use Cisco CD and setup.exe to "install" E1000.
4. Use Cisco CD and Cisco Connect to reconfigure E1000.
5. Done.
All devices working with all OS's including Windows 7.

If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this.

Replying to myself. Kept trying different areas of the ipod this evening, clicking various buttons, including some I'd never used before. All of a sudden I could see my Nano in iTunes. I quickly clicked on Restore before iTunes changed its mind about recognizing the iPod. Moved some songs onto it and it appears to be back to normal. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a 5 yr. old iPhone 3GS, I can't back it up to my laptop, it's not working, but wondered if i can back it up to her laptop, if I create a new user account name, w/out losing her info?

My 5+ yr. old iPhone 3GS is on it's last legs. I desperatly need to "back it up" ASAP, so I can buy a new iPhone, and I really need to be able to transfer my 5 years worth of info to a new iPhone, (a 4S). The computer I used to back my iPhone on when I first got it no longer works, so I was wondering about being able to back my iPhone up to my daughters laptop, but she also has an iPhone 3GS, that's already backed up to her laptop. I know you couldnt back up two iPhones up to one computer, (at least that's what I was told, years ago), but I was recently told by an "Apple" rep that I could "probably" back my iPhone up to her computer without losing anyone's info, if I created a "Secondary User Name Account" on her computer. I'm not comfortble doing this unless I'm reassured more than being told that it's "probably" safe.
Does anyone know what options I have, and if this idea would result in one or both of us losing our info, if we tried to store two iPhones "back up info" on one laptop?
My phone's barely working at all, but I can still access my info, (for now, at least). I really need to do something now.

First, you don't have a 5+ year old 3GS. The 3GS has only been around for under 4 years. In fact, 5 years ago there were NO iPhones; the original iPhone (2 generations before the 3GS) came out on June 29, 2007 - not quite 5 years ago. The 3GS was released June 19, 2009.
That aside, you can sync multiple phones to one computer - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495. boogeyman is wrong. It is 100% safe to create an additional user name on her computer, log in with that name, and back up the phone. See this for details on what you want to do: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2109

Can only access 2 computers to wireless at a time

Here goes:
I have 4 computers, 2xp and 2 Vista. My base is Vista. I'm trying to run all 4 wirelessly DCHP and having a fit.
I can get everything to work ie, internet and networking (all comps see all comps) except I can only access
the internet with two at a time.   I've been struggling for a week now and have learned a lot about networking
but can't get this figured out.   I have my wireless connection working on all 4 but I have to disconnect broadband
from one of the working two units in order to connect Broadband to another unit, again, all wirelessly   Thx, Brian.

What is the Model no of the Router...?
You can try changing the Wireless Channel on the router...
For File Sharing on all the computer....Make sure File and Printer Sharing is Enabled...
Also make sure both the computer's are in the same workgroup...
The default workgroup name in Windows Vista has been changed to WORKGROUP. In WindowsXP, the default workgroup name is MSHOME...

I moved my iTunes content to an external drive a few months ago; now I can't access it with other iWork/iLife applications. Help please :)

Between my external drive and my internal drive I have 3 Library.xml and Library.itl files. (There was a situation where I had to rebuild for some reason)
Should the "Library" files reside on my internal drive or external drive? In my ~/users/username/Music/iTunes/ directory? If so, can I delete all current versions of the Library files and just rebuild by holding down the shift key when starting iTunes and choosing an option? Which one? Would they end up in the correct directory? Sorry if this seems confusing but everything works fine with my iTunes EXCEPT I can't access iTunes in other iLife/iWork programs.
I should mention I have the same problem with iPhoto (on external drive; not populating in iLife/iWork, but works fine by itself) I know, not the right discussion, just thought I'd mention it.

If the iTunes Library.itl file is also on the external drive, try launching iTunes while holding down the Shift key, and when the dialog window opens that allows you to create a new library or open an existing one, choose to open an existing one, navigate to the folder that contains that library file and select it.
If that works, note for the future that if you launch iTunes when that external drive isn't mounted, iTunes will default back to the normal location on the internal drive and you'll have to repeat the Shift-launch process.
