Everythings up and running again.

First up I used the delete the prepublishstate.plist trick, this stopped iweb publishing everything all over every time.
I'd previously allowed iweb to run it's publish after an error message, only quitting when activity monitor levels dropped off. Everything worked after this except for commenting and search.
the prepublishstate.plist trick allowed me to just publish my blog page over and over until it ran error free and reported a succesful upload. This fixed my commenting and search.
I am now a real happy bunny, not only is everything on my site working (I think), but I can now turn idisk syncing back on on all my macs. Check out search and comments on my pages.

I haven't checked every slideshow, but I suspect if there are any that aren't working that publishing over and over until I get a succesful upload message will do the trick like search an comments.

No, I can't go that route. I have to stick with my current Java 7.65 ... Our IT department said just to download SE6 Runtime separately ... If I was understanding that correctly. Or, can you have two different versions of Java running ... 6 ... and 7.65?

Correct way to stop and run again a FPGA reference

Hi guys !
I have some issues when I try to stop and run again an FPGA vi, I explain.
I have two DMA FIFO, one to send data to the FPGA from the CPU, and another from the CPU to the FPGA. When it receives data, the FPGA processes them and sends them back to the CPU and according to the result the CPU makes something. For instance it can be switch on LEDs or rotate a DC motor.
But to do this kind of actions, I have to use an "FPGA Personality", LEDs and I/O Pins seem to be managed by the FPGA core. So I've to close my FPGA vi reference in charge of receive data from the CPU, make my LEDs switching on and then after rerun again my FPGA VI again, If I don't do that LEDs blinking or motor rotation stay without effect... But close and start again the FPGA VI creates problems during the execution, especially for previous waiting of reading on the DMA FIFO... I've tried to catch errors on the FIFO to start again the FPGA VI with a right timing but nothing... I'm lost and I think that I'm missing something, a concept or something else.
I can't share my code because I'm working for a company but I would like to know if you have VI with this type of structure : an FPGA reference which have to be halted to allow hardware interaction with the default FPGA personality and then run again, everything with a good synchronisation...
I hope I'm clear, but if it's not the case, I can reword if necessary.

He doesn't have to load a different FPGA bitfile. Everything you need that FPGA to do should be in the bitfile. Keep in mind that we are talking about HARDWARE when we talk about FPGA. Build your FPGA code to do everything you need it to and you will be fine.

I believe if you were to ask Adobe Support they would tell you that CS3 is no longer supported by their services, if that is what you are refering to when you say "being supported". That means they are not likely to offer assistance with you re-establishing it.
But you can probably re-establish it yourself. If you need to download it there is a place for that available:

Kill the process (in process manager) to stop the loop. In order skip the update and to keep working with 3.6.9, someone suggested deleting the update contents from:
C:\Documents and Settings\usernamehere\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox
This is just to keep working with the old version, and hope the next update will be smoother. Or if you have time, uninstall FF and re-install it from a fresh installer (i recommend xmarks plugin to keep your bookmarks, history and such for a smooth transition)

Aperture wont start , it needs an update and is telling me to log onto a hotmail account that no longer exists so I am stuck .I would even re-purchase aperture just to get up and running again but I cant do that either - help, I need these photographs !

APERTURE was bought via the Apple On Line Store .
I kew there is an update cause when I clicked on updates , there was an update that I needed cause Aperture was not running as it should ie . it would not load
I am running Mavericks OS.
My Apple ID is the same as my email account but I have discovered that I have two Apple ID accounts and I could not remember my password on the one that I used to download the original Aperture - I have since contacted Apple and they have merged the two so Ihave sorted it out that way .
When Aperture would not start , it wasn't asking me to log onto my email account, it was asking me for my Apple ID which was the same thing but it was my emergency ID and I could not remember the password . Being enturely thick where computers are concerned , I got very confused and remain confused because having bought a new MACBOOK AIR , I find it wont recognise my back up hard drive or my AIRPORT so I am not having a great time with MAC products to be honest - cant get my business back up and running after nearly three weeks so Apple and MAC are not my favourite words !
Anyway, I did get it sorted finally by ringing Apple but thanks for replying anyway - it turned out that Aperture was the very least of my problems when my hard drive failed installing Mavericks - wasnt Mavericks fault, my drives have to work hard and it just died .

My word - I'm up and running again!

After downloading Quicktime from the standalone, I have successfully managed to download v4.9 and i'm up and running (fingers crossed). The only issue is that on setup i clicked the button to look for all files on my hard drive and it's imported my backup library into itunes so i have 2 of everything! I guess it's ok to simply delete one version of everything?
I'm not going to bother with v5.01 until i know that there are no more problems out there!

HT1529 Upon startup my iMac has a popup that says: "talagent wants to use the local items keychain." New to me--can't get anywhere. How do I get out of this and get things up and running again?

Upon startup my iMac (OSX Mavericks) has a popup (that I can't get rid of!) that says: "talagent wants to use the local items keychain." I never set this up, don't want it, and want my iMac to start up with my desktop in place and ready to work. I'd appreciate some help please. How do I get rid of this? Thanks.

I found this and it fixed my issue..
I was suffering with this same problem, I followed these steps and everything returned to normality:
1.- I opened KeyChain app and run the FirstAid (from the KeyChain app Menu)with my user Password (this do work) because the problem is not with your password. If there is any trouble with your keychain file this will fix it.
2.- Opened Disk Aid and run Fix Persmissions just in case there was left some wrong file permissions during the upgrade.
3.- Went back to the Key Chain App and Locked and Unlocked the Keychain using the Lock in the top left corner of the app. When asked for my password I simply typed my User password.
After this everything worked fine. These are the steps that I followed but I really think that #3 did the trick here. You could try to do only #3 directly and it might fix your problem, but fixing the Keychain and fixing OS permissions is never a bad Idea.

Klaus1 got me up and running again (update on 10.4.11 update problems)

I took the advice posted by klaus1 here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5915204&#5915204 and I'm now running smooth with the Tiger 10.4.11 update. I followed his advice to the letter.
I went from not being able to work on a text document (no cut/copy/paste), a crawling Safari, no drag and drop etc., to a smooth running machine. The only thing that I'm missing was predictive e-mail addys in gmail. There's a simple one step fix for that though. In gmail, we can click on "Old version" on the top of the page.

it seems there is a complete issue with Authorizations of saposcol.
change u r permissions like the below with the user root.
chown root saposcol
chgrp sapsys saposcol
chmod 4750 saposcol
eg:-rwsr-x---1 root sapsys XXXXXX Mar XX XX:XX saposcol
read the complete Note 19227 - (open newest saposcol) for the more information.

Trying to get G4 Quicksliver up and running again

hey guys I have a Quicksliver 2002 version and it stopped working after a really big storm I think lighting struck the power or something like that. Anyway I have ben slowly buying parts to fix it at first it was the power supply so I got that because it was not giving enough power, put that in and it still didn't work so I went tot he motherboard (very hard to get at a good price) but luckily I found one for cheap so I put it in and the power light on the front light up with out me having to hold it but I still had no power to the keyboard to eject the disk drive I replaced the video card and still nothing it never gives me a power on sound and it doesn't sound very loud when it starts up im thinking its the processor now but did i just destroy my mother board because i put the old processor on it and is there any thing i might be missing there isn't much left to replace. Is there anyplace I could find a working dual 1GHz processor for a decent price?

Hi! Did you reset the PMU after changing the PS? Most of the time resetting the PMU is needed and also using a known good battery is important. Press the PMU button once with all external cables unhooked. Below is an example of the PMU location. Tom
