Everytime I am in the processing of burning a cd to itunes, macbook freazes

its concerning me....all these issues are arrising with my macbook...it fails to burn songs onto CD, and now it fails to copy music onto hard drive from cds, it just randomly freezes and i have to force quit or hold down the power button till it turns off...this is extremly irritating, what should I do about this

No, but at least it eliminates filesystem corruption as a possible cause.
You may have to let Apple look at the MB. There could be a defect. Are you still under warranty?
Has the RAM memory on your MB been upgraded? That might be another possible cause: bad RAM.

I copied all of my CD's onto my iMac's hard drive. Now I'd like to buy a new iMac and am wondering how to transfer the music I have loaded on my iMac from CD's on to my new computer w/o going through the process of loading them into my iTunes Library.

I have copied all of my CD's, probably over 100, on to my iMac, through iTunes and now am considering buying a new iMac. Would like to be able to transfer what's in my music library w/o having to recopy all of the CD's. Any thoughts? Can I do it throught the iCloud or do I need to buy and external storage device?

When you buy your new iMac you will be able to have the installation process transfer all your applications, data (including music, pictures, documents, etc) and settings to your new computer. In the past that was done via Firewire. I'm not entirely sure of the process with the new iMacs that don't have firewire. I think it can be done via ethernet and probably via tha thunderbolt cord using a firewire adapter but you'll want to check that out.
    With the your new computer properly connected to your old computer, the initial booting of the new computer will include the ability to move everything over.
    If for some reason you don't want to do that (smart if you have some horrible software issue that is causing problems) you can connect your old computer to the new one and start it in Target Disk mode where it will be seen as a hard drive. You can then manually copy over all your music and import that into iTunes (and any other data you want).
    Somebody here will surely point you to directions for connecting an older iMac with no Thunderbolt to a newer iMac with no Firewire.

Has anyone been able to resolve the issue of burning CD's from itunes 11 in Windows 8?

Everytime it begins burning the CD it cancels it within a few seconds.

I just tried rendering our a much simpler scene and saving out an EXR.. Works fine..... but it doesn't seem to work with a more complicated scene....EXR of depth pass below.

I am in the process of completely restoring my (Early 2009) MacBook. In doing so, of course, I am backing up or otherwise transferring all of the files that I would like to keep onto my desktop iMac over wifi by simply connecting to the user account-

On the shared option in Finder. Would there happen to be a quicker, more effective means of doing this? I don't have an external hard drive (other than my 1TB iMac's). Is that something that the 'Thunderbolt' cable is designed for?
It seems like it might take up to eight hours to compelte the transfer, since there is almost 20GB of material.

Sounds like the CD drive died. Luckily they cost next to nothing to replace. Or get an external LaCie instead. I have a dual G4 1.25 and the CD drive was always so anemic I use a LaCie Porsche with it.

Firefox won't start. Everytime I end the process/close the last window, it keeps getting stuck at about 2500k memory in the task manager. The only way I have to fix it is to change some kind of compability settings or try and access it in a new way, and every time it crashes/closed/computer blue screens that setting will no longer work.
That is a short term solution, but eventually I'll run out of ways to access firefox successfully. I've tried many solutions, and some worked, but only once. I have yet to find a permanent solution for this problem.

First please update your plugins to make sure you are up to date. Shockwave Flash player has a newer version 16.
