Everytime I close out Firefox, when I reopen it my default search has been reset from DuckDuckGo to Yahoo. Help?
Whenever I open Firefox after having closed out my previous session, my default search (DuckDuckGo) has reverted to Yahoo in both the url bar and the search bar. I will go in and change the default settings, but the problem repeats when I open a new session. I've deleted all my cookies and cleared my history but still a problem. Help?

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. How do you resolve error code 36 when trying to restore an iPad that has been reset to original settings?

As far as I can tell, Error Code 36 is an "I/O Error". It may mean you have a bad USB cable between the iPad and your computer, or the cable was not plugged in firmly.

With Firefox as my default browser for a desktop iMac, a note appears "An attempt to change your home page and default search has been blocked" It won't go away. It tells me to click on the checkmark to change settings but that doesn't work and the red x in the upper right hand corner doesn't remove the note which is in the upper left corner of my iMac ??? The only thing that removes the note is quitting Firefox but it reappear as soon as I start Firefox back up ???

Okay, so this seems to happen when I full screen something (either on internet or application) but is particularly annoying as I have had word documents open, which I have unsaved changes. It then logs me out, and when I log back in all the documents open again, but to where I last saved them.

Recently, my office has integrated a new mail server to reduce traffic on the public website. The administrator assigned the new mail server as the home page. Our default browser is Firefox.
I also use Firefox at home. When I open my browser at home the google page comes up, then when I select the "home" icon it redirects me to the office mail server.
I can change my home page on my browser to my actual home page. It will remain on my "actual" home page during all sessions until I open the browser at work. Once I do that and go home it switches to the work "home page". Again, I can physically change it on my home browser and have it work all the time I am at home, but if I work and open the browser it changes my home "home".Try:

I haven't been able to update my credit card info from the one Apple has to the one at the bank with is the one linked to my card. And I have had a nightmare just getting someone to help me. I can't update an app that I actually really need to use. I am losing money everyday this is not resolved
No this was absolutely of no help what so ever!!!!1I have had this issue before and it was also a nightmare. I don't understand why you have to go thru so much pain until you can talk to a real person. I don't have 48 hours. I use this app to make money. I can't update it, so I can't use it, all because I can't update my info, which is clearly on the Apple side. Not my bank (like they first want to say), not me, I know who I am, but it must be something on apple's side. And to wait 48 hours for an email response to tragic . I can't believe a company with as much assets as Apple can't get a real person to help me sort this out. I had this same problem years ago, and it was the same mess. Whay do I keep doing this? Everytime I close out of the internet and go back in, I have to reinstall firefox, why?
I use to have firefox on my computer and then all of a sudden it was gone. This happened about a month ago. I reinstalled 3.6 version for my online classes and everytime I close out of the internet I loose firefox. I have to go to my downloads and reinstall it. Is there a way to fix this?
If you want to change the layout to be more like Firefox 3.6, you can do so. Firefox 9.0.1 is the current version and Firefox 10 will replace it at the end of January 2012. The only other version of Firefox that is currently supported and updated is Firefox 3.6.25, '''<u>but support for the Firefox 3.6 version is likely to end soon</u>'''.

I get an alert banner saying my connection has been reset. This only happens when I try to connect to hotmail. It works fine when I connect to other sites, including this one. This is a new problem and I have not experienced it before, even though I have had problems with broadband connections. There are unusaul movements on my hotmail like when I delete messages and clear the delete folder, the deleted messages reappear when I reopen my hotmail. I have also had messages missing and reappearing even though they are from several year ago. The new problem with the alert message started about 10 minutes ago. I was able to access my hotmail via Safari but I get the alert message everytime I try with firefox.

After updating my Iphone 4s to os 7.1.1 from 7.1 over the air, my phone went into recovery mode. Yet when I try to restore it with Itunes on my windows 7 laptop it says the network connection has been reset. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network is active, or try again later. My phone has the itunes logo and charger symbol on it, as well as an arrow pointing at the Itunes logo. After holding the sleep button down or even doing the hard reset the same screen comes up on my phone regardless of whether it is plugged in or not to my computer. I have turned my computer off and on again. It is plugged in and charging as it's battery life is very short. I also reset my modem and the same error message pops up. The only option on my computer when my phone is plugged in is to restore it. My firewall also allows Itunes through it. I have literally tried everything I know being someone who knows very little about technology. I also do not want to hear about how the update worked for other people. My phone has been in recovery mode for 5 hours at least now so it will just make me more frustrated if a bunch of people post about how the update worked for them.
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.
Error message: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged". Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message: "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?

I had failed to mention in my previous comments that each time the attempted attacks took place, a blank Adobe PDF page appeared. As you suggested, I disabled the Adobe add-on and have had no further attacks. I am extremely dilligent in keeping my SuperAntiSpyware Pro, AvastAntiVirus 5.0, ThreatFire, Vista Firewall Control, Malewarebytes and Windows Defender up to date. However, after any attack I always run these in safe mode just as a precaution. I had suspected the Adobe drop-in may have been the culprit because of the page that appeared and your suggested fix has in fact fixed it!

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
