Everytime I open a webpage the Yahoo webpage opens first

This is probably something really basic as I have no idea how to work technology but every single time I open a new webpage, the YAHOO general opens up first, and its really annoying! Please does anyone know how to fix this?

What do you mean exactly?
Maybe you did set the Yahoo website as Home Page. In Browser properties you can change this option.
By the way: do you have this issue on Internet Explorer or Firefox? You should also test another browser.

I was on Snow Leopard before and everytime I wanted to check the Yahoo Messenger archive of messages, all I needed to do was go to Library/Application Support/Yahoo Messenger/Logs. You can check for problems with preferences.
Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default value.

When i open a new tab in Firefox, the yahoo website will open automatically in this tab. How can i prevent any website from opening in my new tabs? I just want to open an empty tab.

You click on new tab, a new tab opens, but the tab is opened as the yahoo homepage.
I accidentally downloaded the yahoo toolbar as malware the other day. This toolbar is really imposible to remove. It's not in the sofware add/remove menu, i've tried with several anti-malware sofware, they didn't succeed.
Now, i already made the toolbar invisible, but it still has a place in the firefox menu at the top of the browser, and like i said, it keeps opening itself in a new tab.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).

When opening firefox to my Yahoo homepage, all of the formatting is screwed up. If I open it under explorer, it's fine. Any suggestions as to why firefox is messing up the yahoo formatting?

The whole yahoo homepage is pushed to the left side and listed in a columnar format. None of the picture graphics appear as well. It's seems like yahoo isn't compatible. The whole page is setup in almost an outline format with numbers for each topic. (for example, Mail is showing as #1 with a small box with a decimal underneath. #2 is Autos with a box with a decimal underneath..and so on. The links are just boxes and there are decimals throughout. At the top left of the page, displayed over the Yahoo title is "YAI". If I close out and open yahoo under explorer, the site is perfectly normal so this tells me it has something to do with the firefox formatting. Using windows vista 2007.

I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.

I uninstalled "Rocky Racoon" in Cydia so that I could unjailbreak my iPod Touch, since it was slow and kept freezing. It runs fine, since I deleted all of the packages I installed myself first (to make sure there was no permanent damage). The only problem is that now, everytime I open Safari or Mail, they immediately crash and send me back to the homescreen. Photoshop needs to be in the folder within Applications in which it was originally created. Put it back where you got it.
Did you actually complete the download process or were you maybe running from the .dmg that you downloaded?

I had this problem some months ago and the following solution from Terrence Delvin put things right:
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. *Make no other changes*.
Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder.

A few thoughts for diagnosis/testing purposes:
Have you recently run the disk utility and repaired HD and permissions? If not do so.
Boot into the Safe mode - hold down shift key on boot - and see if the problems are still there. Some functions won't work but see if anything odd happens.
Check your startup items. Get rid of them temporarily.
Create a new user account and see if the problems occur with the new account.
Lastly, be sure your backup is up-to-date.

Everytime i open some websites, it displays the page for a while then load to another blank page.

hai. i need help. and just for heads up, i;m not computer/tech savvy.
i dont remember when this problem was started (maybe around 2 or 3 months ago) but everytime i opened some sites, the page displayed for a while then it reload itself and shown a blank page. the link is still the same with the link i tried to access, it just keep loading and shown blank page till it stop loading. refreshing the page wont help. usually i need to click 'Back' then while it shown the page i click 'X' to stop the page loading, so i can see the page.
but if i need to download files, stopping the page wont make me able to downloaded the files since the page didnt fully loaded.
the websites i encountered this was (so far) :
- Indowebster (download page)
- wiki.d-addicts.com (a wikipedia kind of page)
- photobucket (just encountered this today)
- and 1 or 2 other sites, i forgot.
but i can access all those sites just fine with IE. I also able to access it in Mozilla thru my work computer. at first this dint really bother me as i can just click 'stop loading page' or found another download sites for downloading. but as today i experienced it with photobucket 9which as far as i know didnt happened before) it made me worry that soon i would experiencing this with another sites too.

i already clear cache and cookies. also disable all extensions in my add-ons. from some discussion page, many of them found that this was caused by Real-Player. i have uninstalled Real Player and have disabled the Real Player Plugins long before this problem occured. so i dont think Real Player was the caused.

hi.. actually before i was afraid to update anything other than anti-virus, since i read many people seems updating something and turns out they got malware/virus with it.
but i have update it to Firefox 21 (the newest version it seems) and didnt encounter any problem again. and hope not. it just the new version disable my orbitdownloader. any suggestion to bring it back? (or should i post new thread?)
