Everytime i record audio the file is smaller than it should be
Hello, got a big problem Logic 9 Osx 10.6 - everytime i record audio the file is smaller than it should be and i need to drag it on the left side to get the original lenght. Can you help me please?
I think you store the data as Double data (8 bytes per value).
TDMS doesn't support 12 bit data, so the least storage space you can use is 16 bit.
What is JTFA? can't you do it in chunks.

When I record audio the sound waves arent visible in the arrange page?
When recording audio, The sound records fine but the visible wave is tiny to non existent. Any idea what I might have done to cause this as it wasn't always the case??
Micah, look in the lower right-hand corner of the arrange window. Right next to the zoom horizontal and vertical sliders, there's a little wave icon. Clicking it will magnify the waves. How's the actual sound, Is it too quiet? What do your audio waves peak at?

If I try to seek (or read) with the position mode wired and set for START, I get error 4 (END OF FILE) if the file is larger than 2 GB. I'm only trying to move the file pointer 4096 bytes, not trying to seek or read more than 2GB, but I get the error if the file is over 2Gig.
Instead, I have to do reads, with the position mode unwired, until I get to the place in the file that I want to be.

LabVIEW File I/O functions use an I32 value to store the size of a file. This means that we are limited to ~2GB file sizes when using the File I/O functions in LabVIEW. This explains why you are seeing odd behavior when trying to read to the end of the file, since this is causing the byte count to exceed ~2GB.
I hope this explanation sheds some light on the situation for you. Hopefully the workaround (repeated reads) is not too much of an inconvenience.

Is the website always smaller than the screen?
New to Mac...very frustrating to learn about it without help. Lots of things bug me...first being...why are the websites (window) smaller than the whole screen? Can this be changed?
The green button in the "traffic lights" (top left corner of window) will toggle between max size and whatever size you have set it to by dragging the bottom right corner.

For some videos when i record with my webcam on my Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7170, and then place it in Premiere Pro the video seems behind the audio.
Stats about my laptop:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
RAM: 16gb
System type: 64bit
Memory Speed: 1600 mhz
Hard Drive: 1000gb mechanical_hard_drive
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
Graphics RAM: 3072mb
Hard Drive Rotational Speed: 7200 rpm
So the video is behind and occasionally for some reason the audio will repeat or even start over from what sounds were happening in the beginning.
The file that gets saved from recording with my webcam is .mp4. I don't know what else to say but please halp.
The video file plays like normal when i use windows media player.

How can I keep the file size small when I render a .mov file to video in PS entended CS4?

I haven't worked with video in Photoshop before and I am having the following issue:
I imported a .mov file into photoshop. I trimmed the file by moving the start and finish points to the relevant points on the timeline. I then cropped the image to get rid of unwanted footage on the edge of the screen. I then selected export - render video. On the panel I chose to select only "currently selected frames" as the range and I chose "Quick Time Movie" as the file type. When I check the properties of my newly rendered movie the file size has increased by several times. The file sizes are now much too large.
I know that I must need to alter some of the render settings but having tried altering many of the settings the result is always the same - a very large file size that is much bigger than my oringinal file.
If anyone can let me know how I can carry out a simple crop & trim on a .mov file and end up with a smaller more compact file after rendering the video I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!Hi Marion,
Thanks very much for your message. I have downloaded that program and it's definitely handy for examining the details of the original file. You mentioned in your message about not having to recode the file - The file I'm editing is originally from a Q3 Zoom video recorder and I can use their in-built software (handyware) to trim the file - this doesn't recode the file and so the file size just reduces by the required amount. Unfortunately there is no facility to crop the file with this software - I've looked for other software that would allow cropping without having to recode the file but I haven't found anything suitable for a simple procudure like this - do you know of any software that allows you to crop a file without recoding? How to delete the record in the file present in the application server?

If u want a frequent deletion this approach to delete a record from a file will havee unnecesary copy of records from one file to another and deletion of one file and renaming activities.
Instead what u can do is Add and field del_flag to ur record structure.
If u want to delete the record from a file just mark this del_flag as 'X'.
While processing u can have a loop like
loop at it_XXX where del_flag <> 'X'.
endloop.
This will logically delete the record.
When u r to finish the application at that time only perform this copying / deleting / and renaing activity

LSMW me51n, how to create one PR document for all the records in the file

I need to create LSMW for t-code me51n -Create Purchase Requisition. I`m using Bapi BUS2105, method CREATEFROMDATA, idoc message type PREQCR, basic type PREQCR03. The problem is that the LSMW is creating different idoc and different PR document for every record in the source file. My requirement is to create one PR document for one source file (Every source file is different Purchase Requisition) . I`m trying to do this with writing some code(global functions ) in the 'Mapping and conversion rules' events - BEGINOF_TRANSACTION_, ENDOF_TRANSACTION__..., but i`m not very sure what exactly i`m doing .
Please help me resolve this problem, any help will be appreciated .

But I have found faster way of doing it - two source structures, one HEADER and ONE ITEM.
HEADER: one empty text field and identificator for it.
ITEM: everything else.
Then everything was just fine, i`ve mapped the different IDOC segments by PREQ_ITEM fields (equal values in the source file : 10-10-10..., 20-20-20,.... etc.) and put all required fields for my LSMW

Trying to retrieve all the records from the file on desktop

I have one particular problem. I was given a text file which as 7000 records with length 512 each in a continues string. I Changed begining of each record with comma in that text and saved it in .csv , when I try to upload the file into my program's internal table.
It is still giving one record. I used

I don't know if this is the correct solution, but I think it will work.
Declare your internal table (itab_extract) with the maximum length which your file will occupy.
Create another internal table (itab) with field (text) length 512.
Populate the internal table itab_extract using GUI_UPLOAD.
Then write this code
l_index = 1.
itab-text = itab_extract-extract1+0(512).
append itab.
do.
n = ( l_index * 512 ) + 1.
itab-text = itab_extract-extract1+n(512).
append itab.
if ( itab-text is initial ).
exit.
endif.
enddo.

hi all,
i'm using the last version of iPhoto and i save my library on a western digital external USB drive; the drive is formatted in NTFS; i usually use tuxera to access and browse the files.
Unfortunately, i don't know why, i access this drive in read only mode, so iPhoto doesn't accept the library any more; i tried to copy the library on the iMac but the copied file is really smaller (54 gb instead on the 78 on the drive), and iphoto doesn't accept it.
i need to find a solution and to recover my library, i've no other copies?!
tuxera doesn't open any other ntfs drive i think the problem is there, but i have to finf other solutions to recover my photos.

the drive is formatted in NTFS
iPhoto needs to have the Library sitting on disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Users with the Library sitting on disks otherwise formatted regularly report issues including, but not limited to, importing, saving edits and sharing the photos.
Do you get any error messages when you try and copy the file back to your Mac?

Creation of multiple Records in the file as per multiple segments in IDOC

i have got a requirement to create a multiple records in a file based on multiple segments at sending Idoc in a File To Idoc Interface.
the Scenario is the reciever message type is mapped with fields of 3 segments in sending IDOC.
SEG01 1.....1(PARENT SEGMENT)
SEG02 0...999999(CHILD SEGMENT)
SEG03 0...9999999(CHILD SEGMENT)
in an instance where if the SEG01 exists for one time and SEG02 exists for 2 times and Seg03 Exists for 2 times PI is creating the file with 2 records in it but
when if the SEG01 exists for one time and SEG02 exists for 2 times and Seg03 Exists for 1 time it is raising the error in message mapping where it is supposed to create 2 records in a file with empty values in the fields (mapping with seg03) segment.
can anybody help me in this.

Varmayou can create a UDF after you validate if the count match. if match you create the message if not, call de UDF.
this UDF should receive two parameters -->Queue SEG2 and queue of SEG3.
then you should loop by the count of SEG2. if you find a Supress Value in the queue of SEG3 add a "" to result. for example.

the result of UDF is a queue which should map to target field directly coz it has context changes

Export to Flash and keep the file size small!
Clearly Keynote has a major bug when exporting to Flash. The files become very large, about 10x larger then the combined size of the JPEG's inserted. Earlier today I discovered how to get around this issue, albeit a far from perfect solution. Simply open each picture used in Photoshop and use the "save for web" menu. Save each image as GIF, 128 colors and rebuild the Keynote presentation. Although a color rich picture saved as GIF versus a reasonable compressed JPEG is x 3 or x 4 times larger the end result when exporting the Keynote to Flash is substantially smaller. Apparently Keynote exports to Flash without adding size when GIF's are used. Apple, please fix this "JPEG export" bug!

IF lv_string IS INITIAL.

SEPARATED BY cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
Here <fs_line> is a work area. Basically we are getting all the fields in the internal table and writing their names in the start of the file.

When recording audio, the soundwaves dont show in the audio region.
I think i must of changed settings accidentally or somewhat, because prior to this, there was no problem. However, now when i record i cant see soundwaves (im not sure what they're called) in the audio region. please help, its really giving me problems cos i really wna record audio.
Try the waveform zoom slider in the lower right hand of the arrange.
If that's not it then check your recording delay in preferences>audio, supposedly if it is set too high what you describe happens. -
Exporting Comp to Flash Animation (and Keeping the File Size Small)
I have an animation I have made in AE which isn't terribly complicated.
Maybe 450 X 250, mostly blank background. The artwork was done in Illustrator. There are about a dozen layers, all AI artwork, and the animation is about two seconds.
When I export the animation as an SWF file, the file size is 1.2MB. What do I need to do to make the file size a lot smaller?
I am not used to making animations for Flash. My AE animations are usually meant for video applications, but someone decided they want this animation to go on their web site instead.
Thanks!If it is a frame by frame animation try importing the MOV file into Flash rather than exporting from AE.
Not sure if this will work but it might. When you publish the file in Flash you will get a resulting SWF file that is created automatically. See if it is smaller.
