Let's first try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that help with the iTunes launch errors?

I have recently downloaded the new itunes. My computer will open itunes but then a screen pops up that says Itunes has stopped working and must close. Not completely sure. But if you think it is an iTunes issue...... follow through this: Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
ALSO, if you feel like all your music will be gone as well follow through these 2:

icloud has worked perfectly. now a message comes up saying" it has stopped working and microsoft will attempt to fix the problem". I have signed out and signed back in. restarted the computer. no luck. Any ideas?
First thing I would try would be to remove the battery from your MacBook, connect the computer to it's power adapter and start up, then see if the keyboard and trackpad work normally. Some older batteries have been known to expand and interfere with keyboard and trackpad. If this works, replace the battery.

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Thanks for the additional details mnslider. Let's make sure that we figure this out. Is the device software currently up to date? You can check by going into Settings, Software Update, and Check New. As well you would be able to uninstall or clear the data and cache for that application to see if that would help. As well you would even be able to disable the application all together. Everything seems fine until I try to access the ITunes store. Then I get a message that ITunes has stopped working and that Windows is looking for a solution. Then it tells me that no solution has been found and closes down Itunes.
I can still sync music / podcasts to my ipod and iphone. I am still getting podcast downloads automatically for the ones I have subscribed to.

When I sync my phone it gets to step 6 the does not complete the sync i get a message that says itunes has stopped working and needs to close anyone else have this issue
The same problem here!... My itunes stucks on "preparing to sync" when sync my ipad 2, and stucks on iphone 4 calendar sync...

Have Windows 7, 64 bit. Updated ITunes to 10.5 and now I cant open store? I can play music but when trying to open store, or anything else, I get :
