Everytime I try to log on to facebook, it sends me directly to you tube
my Ipad is not even a week old (I bought it off of Amazon.com) I try to get on to facebook tonite and every time, I am sent directly to youtube (after I am on facebook) also, all the images on facebook seem really big
It's happening to a number of us (there are a few other threads), the YouTube video that are you taken to in Safari seems to be the last one that was posted on your wall - I assume that it's a bug with Facebook's server. Until it's fixed you could just switch back into the Facebook app once the video has loaded in Safari, access Facebook via Safari on the iPad, or just access it via your computer.

Safari crashes everytime I try to log in on facebook
Everytime I go to facebook.com on my macbook pro and attempt to log in safari crashes. This only happens on Facebook.I have Snow Leopard and a late model Macbook Pro. This is a very recent problem that cropped up. It says something about a Spector Pro plugin among a bunch of other jargon.
Any help would be appreciate. Thanks!
TammySpector Pro
Spector Pro is computer and internet monitoring software. (One of the things it can do is monitor Facebook.)

Are your parents (or someone else) monitoring that Mac, Tammy? -

When I try to log onto Facebook, my iPad will not recognize my password, and I get an error code 190, but I can log on on my HP desktop. What is code 190, and why do I get it?
I was using the FB app that came with the iPad. What I eventually did was.
1. Held down both home key and on-off button until iPad shut down, then rebooted.
2. Uninstalled FB app.
3. Went to App Store and re-installed FB app.
The iPad had numerous problems. My son saw my plea on FB as I was accessing it through my HP computer, and he walked me through it. While he was at it, he taught me how to disconnect auto-correct. I am not certain that I want to keep that off, but everything is working the way it is supposed to the way it was in the beginning.
I am curious, though, as to what ears to the problem in the first place. After checking various sites, it seems that a code 190 has to do with windows not Apple.
But thank you for the response. -

sir over the past few years i have changed my ISP and of course my Apple details and one particular address [email protected] has been out of use for months now and has been replaced by my present Gmail acount and everytime i try tp open the app store up pops this old address and i just cannot recall the password. i tried the telehope help line but im 81 and just couldnt hear the man. i am seriously stuck and would apprecaiet som guidance thanks Kenneth
If you used this email address as an Apple ID to buy content; music, videos, apps, etc., then that is the only Apple ID that can be used with that content as far as updating or redownloading.

Since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox, I'm now getting the message "A problem has occurred trying to process your request. Please try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused." when I try to log onto my internet banking site. This occurs after going thru the first two steps of the login process. I don't get this problem when I login to all my other bookmarked sites, or when I use Internet Explorer. I'm using Windows XP. Any suggestions? (Note: I've just reloaded version 6 of Firefox, but it's not made any difference.)

Hi
I would download the free Onyx application (Google will find it) and go through its sequence of maintenance operations: Verify, Maintenance, and Cleaning.
When its finished all these steps, I'd then reset the SMC and PRAM:
- Reset the PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
- Reset the SMC: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
If you still have problems after these steps come back to us

If using a different browser doesn't help, get in contact with the accounts team through the online contact form and they can get this fixed for you. If you receive an automated e-mail directing you back to the community, just reply to it and you will be connected with a representative. -

I get this message:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.Not sure from your example but it appears that the address doesn't have a full domain, i.e., the part between http:// and the next / is not a valid internet domain name, e.g.,
http://sometext-webproxy/
In that case, it's probably something running on your computer, either as part of your security software, or as a Firefox add-on, or malware.
A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If you can access sites normally, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
To also disable plugins, you can try here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins category

''''''Apple has built-in malware protection in OS X. This malware protection was just updated by Apple to exclude all earlier versions of Adobe Flashplayer. The current version is 12.0.0.44.
You should not be downloading Adobe Flash Player from anywhere but Adobe's official download site.
Once you download it, it will go into your logindir/Downloads folder. Quit all browsers, and System Preferences (if it is open). Next to your Trash icon in the Dock is an alias to your Downloads folder. Click once, and the bottom item will be the just downloaded Flash Player installer. Single-click this installer. The Adobe Flash Player Installer will mount to your Desktop and open a window. Double-click on Install Adobe Flash Player. When done, right-click on the mounted Adobe Flash Player Installer Desktop icon and select Eject...
In the future, use the Flash Player preference from System Preferences to update itself. Once the installer mounts on the Desktop, close System Preferences, or Flash preference panel will not get updated correctly. -
Please help!
I was getting the same error too for a long time. It seems to have stopped....and my calendar and contacts synching has also stopped. Not sure what's going on.

Firefox crashes everytime I try to log on to a WebEx presentation.
Always worked on the old version. Tried downloading a webex for firefox and macosX, but continued to crash.
After an hour of searching, this is the solution that worked for me.
Close Firefox;
Find the Firefox application in Finder;
Right click and select Get Info;
Tick the box to Open in 32-bit mode;
Now open Firefox and Webex should work - at least it did for me.
