Evil Computer Refuses to Allow Reinstallment
iTunes was acting up and I was told to uninstall and then reinstall it, well it's not working. So I have come to ask you smart people for help!^^

a few questions before proceeding.
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime?

You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations, so if you only had one installation, you still have the option to install on a second without doing anything further than that. If you originally downloaded the purchase thru Adobe then you might find a download link available in your Adobe account online. You can also download thru the following page if you can find your version:

You can have the first installation deactivated to free up the activation and have it available for another machine again as well. YOu need to contact Adobe Support thru chat for that. For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

Macbook refusing to allow log on
My macbook pro refused to allow me to log on for several hours yesterday. It was suggested by someone in the IT department at work that it sounded as if someone else was in control of my computer. Is this possible?

The CC has been activated twice.
You need to deactivate it from PC,
When you install it on the third computer or for the third time & when you to activate it, if it installed & activated already twice, there will be an option of deactivating it from the previous computers, please click on that.(To deactivate from pre installed machine, Open any Adobe CC application > Help Menu > Signout.)
Next it will allow you to activate on your new machine,
Now you can go back to your first computer, log out & log back in of Desktopp CC App, launch any product, if there is any product to buy, in that prompt there will be an option to " license the software", please click on that & sign in.
It will reactivate the CC on the first machine.
You have already deactivated it from one machine, hence you can activate it on third computer.

My computer refuses to get past the HP loading screen. I did a systems test, and found that the Hard Drive Short DST Check failed.
The failure code I get is:

The 24 character failure ID means your laptop HDD is failing/has failed and had to be replaced soon. This may be the reason Windows OS is not able to load.
If you've not made recovery media soon after you setup your laptop first time, you may need to order them from HP in your region along with the new replacement HDD.
Both will be send to you free of cost if you're covered under warranty , contact HP with the failure ID & other details of your laptop.

If you're not under warranty, you could buy a new retail laptop HDD of at least same capacity as the one that came with your laptop and replace it yourself , then use recovery media to reinstall everything back to factory settings.

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

I have a cd of New Yorker magazine cartoons which I got in 2004. It requires adobe 6.0.1 but my computer will not allow me to install that version as it is outdated. I have windows 7. How to I get this CD to open? -Bob
If the CD absolutely requires that old version, then it is basically obsolete. However, it might work with the current version ... have you installed the current version of Adobe Reader, and if so what does it say when you try to use the CD?

I recently updated my iPhone to IOS 8 and it said I need the latest version of iTunes to sync and back up however my computer won't allow it what do I do !?? Anything helps!!!
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

0X is a Windows Error. Take the time to look over on the right under the "More Like This" and look for ones that have the green checkmark as being solved. You should find answers there.

I'm not sure if this will be a fix but it certainly can't hurt a thing. Locate this file:
com.apple.bluetooth.plist It's here: /Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate that file, drag it to the Trash, empty the Trash and reboot. Sometimes pref files can become corrupted and cause all kinds of problems. Your Mac will create a new pref file for you when your reboot.
See if that helps... post back.
