EWA Alert report in solman

Hello All,
Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
We have configured solution manager 7.o EHP1. For connecting to satellite system we have configured the trusted system configuration from solman to satellite system and also assigned logical component to satellite system.
We want to generate the early watch report in solman for the satellite system. We ran service preparation check and maintenance package. All are fine. The RFC *BACK is also working well in SM59.
Now in satellite system, in SDCCN we created the "refresh session " task. but this task is getting finished immediately and no data read session is visible in solman. We also made the solman BACK RFC as master for data read.

I see Jansi already provided you the wiki page I wrote.
Another thing to check, ensure that the Installation Number of the managed system is the same Installation number that is entered in the SMSY declarations, because if the numbers differ, then the refesh session will not find a session for that installation, and it will complete with no obvious errors.
BAsically the refresh sessions task is kinda dumb. It either pulls the session numbers and creates EWA (or other session type) SDCCN tasks for each session it pulls from Solution Manager. But if any error occurs, it passes no further information, and seems to run, complete, but finds no sessions.
THe other thing I should add is if the session can't be opened in DSA, no sessions will be returned, the session doesn't need to result in a dump. You may just get a dialog box stating "opening the service session EAnnnnnnnnnnnn failed".
So that should pretty much cover the Red Flagged EWA report.

EWA alert report for java system shows wrong data

Hi,
In our solman system, EWA alert reports are configured every week for all the production systems (both ABAP and JAVA). Recently oracle database was upgraded from 10g to 11g in all the production systems. The EWA alert report for ABAP systems is correctly taking the 11g database details and is suggesting parameter changes. Unforunately the EWA alert report for Java systems is still pointing to 10g database and is suggesting the parameter changes for 10g only but the systems are on 11g.
In SMSY, the database of the java systems is maintained as 11g only and not 10g. STill we are not sure where the data is being fetched from.
Please help me in finding the issue.

iNote 1482818 would be iapplicable if not java checks are being made. You are not reporting no java checks, you are reportijng the check is being performed, but has the wrong value. When you updated the database dis you perform Solman_setup, Mnaaged system setup?
The reason I ask s that is what prepares the java side for EWA. For isntance if you had on old version of ST-SER such as 700_2008_2 then it does not know about Oracle 11.2....but that is on the ABAP side, you would need ST-SEr 701_2010_1 to
recognize ORacle 11.2 on the ABAP side.
So while I am not 100% sure in this specific instance, it seems logical that if the Java side isn't recognizing the Oracle Database version ( which means it is making this check) then you may need to run the Solman_setup, Mnaged system setup to pick up the ability to detect a new version of Oracel on the Java side.
It is certainly worth the try.

Setting up EWA Alert configuration in Solman for Sattelite system

I have followed the sap tutor for setting up EWA in solman which i got from market place, I have done the configuration step by step accordingly but when i see in DSWP i see Red flagged report that it throwed some error and not able to generate report i have activated SDCCN in satllite and all the basic steps but still its not working. Pleaase give some step by step configuration if available to you it ll be a great help.

EWA alert report is not generating in SMP through SDCCN !!

Dear Techies,
Kindly help me on this issue,
I am generating EWA in SDCCN, it is generating fine through RFC Connections successful. But I am not getting EWA report in SMP. All steps performed successfully but no EWA report in SMP inbox ( service messages ).
Is there any changes do we need in Service market place to get EWA, or how to enable EWA icon in Service market place. PFA

EWA Alert configuration done but report is not generated

I have setup the EWA congiguration for a Solman 7.0 , i executed rtcctool and implemented addons now everything is seen in green , also activated SDCCN and checked for all RFC ...everything is working fine .i saw two tasks service preparation check and maintenance check and executed them properly i also created a solution in DSWP and activated EWA for that solution . I followed the EWA tutor available at service marketplace properly but still when i create a early wath alert in opertaions in DSWP in solman , i see this waiting symbol and dont get any report in return , even after refreshing session am not gettin it here in DSWP. Please help me out and suggest some solution.
I did this setup to get EWA report of Solman system in that system itself , i mean i want report of solman system in it , i am not using any satellite system here, is this possible to do so . Please guide me .

David ......i refreshed the service definitions and i ran service preperation check and maintenace package , both were ok after that i went to DSWP in operations(inside early watch alert Tab) and i created a new service named "SAP early watch Alert " i selected my solman system while creating this service but service is in Waiting process in DSWP in operations , sign is not of blue bottle or Red flag but the wait Sign that we usually get and when i click on it it says "The session is waiting for data from a remote system. Data transfer can take up to one day." it also gives steps to start it manually by going to SDCCN and creating task "Refresh Session" i also followed that process using "None" Rfc but still in DSWP in opertaion its in Wait and still same message inside it "The session is waiting for data from a remote system. Data transfer can take up to one day."
Please help me out in resolving it.

I'm getting short dump error while executing job SM:EXEC SERVICES for EWA alert generation.I'm using EHP1@SP22 of Sol Man.

Dear Anand,
Did you perform a complete service definition replacement for SDCC/SDCCN as described in the note?
These are manual steps you need to perform on the system and are not code corrections.
I would suggest you perform it, if you have not, and check the SDCCN logs to review the process ran cleanly.
Note: Please make sure SDCC_OSS is functioning and a connection to SAP can be made before
deleting the service definitions.
If you have already replaced the service defintions on the Solution Manager system, then no point doing it again. However checking a note and applying it are not the same thing. So I am uncertain if you replaced the service definitions or not. The dump you are getting in SM:EXEC SERVICES suggests its due to a problem with the service definitons. The recommendation is to replace them according to the process described in SAP Note 727998. If you have not done so please do so.
If you have successfully replaced the service definitions are you still getting the same dump, or has it possibly changed?

EWA Alert A- high ratio of full garbage

Hi All,
I have been receiving "RED" EWA report for pure JAVA stack from past 3 weeks. Earlier also I had got it and then the heap memory size was 1024. I had increased to 3GB and then I started getting a "YELLO" EWA report alert. However, from past 3 weeks I have been getting a red EWA report for full Garbage Collection problem.
I had gone throug some of the threads here and found some usefule info like, Paul mentioned in below link:

I think the first one is the small garbage collections and the latter one is the "Full GC" as the name itself says.---Correct me if I am wrong.

I have gone through the server nodes , std_server<n>.out (I have 3 server nodes) and found that on today's date, there are Full GC written in the logs multiple times. But can any one help me in diagnosing this and reaching out to the cause of this problem?

Early watch alert report

Hi,
I have a question on the Early watch alert report generated by the system on section 1.2 Disk Space and 1.3 Hardware Information and installed OS Release in the report.
I have installed Early Watch Alert for few of our customers. In the section 1.2 and 1.3 of the report generated, some of it will show the information of client workstation that connected to B1 server, some of it only show the information of the server and some only show the information of certain client workstation and not showing the server's information.
Can anyone let me know what is the setup i need to consider so that the report will show all the client workstation's information including the server or i want the report to only show the server's information.
Finally, how does system retrieve the hardware information of those client workstation since the Early watch alert is only installed on the Server, i though Early Watch Alert will only retrieve the information of the server with server tools installed.

I think it is only contect/customizing info will be analyzed, no application data like customer names, marketing documents or similar will be transmitted in the EWA.
The contents of the data in the EWA are :
1. System data
2. database administration
3. backup of company database
4. company info . doc volume
5. Installed addons
6. Business settings
or in the EWA I installed in the server, I've got these infos :
1. Customer Info
2. Company database info
3. Software info
4. Installed addon
5. Company database backup info
6. Hardware Info
7. Company database growth
8. Company user amount
9. Document volume
it seems that it tends to give system data in the server PC and not in the client PC.

SOLAR_EVAL
it helps you to build the entire project report phase wise or for service desk or for charms or test management etc

Alerts and Most Common Alerts Report information Displays Blank

Hello Sir,
Could some one help me on my Issue in SCOM 2012 R2.
Previously we use to generate all reports with out any issues, But very recently we had an issue while generating reports for "Alerts" and "Most common Alerts" Reports (from Microsoft Generic Library) its giving a blank with out any data.
Where in CPU, Memory, Disk Utilization are coming fine as expected. Only issue with "Alerts Reports" and "Most Common Alerts Report".
Not sure how to proceed further to trouble shoot this issue.

Customer Funded PO alert report

Hi SAP Experts,
I need to Develope Report its Customer Funded PO alert report,
Eg:They have created one seprate customer GL account for Custmer. While creating PO they will Put Account Assinment Category K and & respective Customer GL account.
My client wants based on GL acount and Goods recept posting date wise report so kindly suggest me how ican make logic for FS prepartion and how to link the all Table.

Hello,
You can use the BAPI: BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETDETAIL2. In the EXPORT parameter you have a structure for Customer Addr. (CUSTOMERADDRESS LIKE BAPICUSTOMER_04).
The PO BOX is in BAPICUSTOMER_04-PO_BOX.

Additional information in SDP alert report

Hi Experts,
We are generating SDP alert for "Stock below safety stock( DB alert)".
Their is a reqiurenment to add some addtional information in the output of the alert to display the SOURCE LOCATION and Shortfall qty(diff between Act and Target qty). These data is not available in standard layout of the alert report.
What's the way to get these additional information in alert report?

Try using the BAdi
/SAPAPO/AM_ALERTLIST
With the method MODIFY_ALERTLIST, you can append additional fields
to an alert type and also change existing fields
Change parameters:
T_FIELD_CAT Alert-object-typical field catalog of the alert types
T_ALERTS List of alerts

I want to configure our ISA server 2006 to send alert reports to my Gmail account. in the Alert action settings ISA server just ask about the email account but how can I configure the password for that account so ISA can have access to that?

Hi Arsh,
You will not have options to enter Password. You need to use internal Exchange or any mail server with Anonymous access to the email address.
Or if you want to use Gmail address - You may have to configure an SMTP realy on your network and then use SMTP relay to send Email to Gmail and from tr it will deliver other mailbox.
