EWA SDCCN Error

Hi
In SMSY > Environment > Solution Manager Operation > SDCCN Administration.
My BPD & BPP Systems are in Red Colour and error log is showing following error. I have checked RFC but its working no errors for connection and authorization.
Error in system BPD (see long text for details)
Message no. SOLAR_EN158
Diagnosis
When using RFC destination SM_BPDCLNT001_READ, the following message has been returned from system BPD:  .
Error in system BPP (see long text for details)
Message no. SOLAR_EN158
Diagnosis
When using RFC destination SM_BPPCLNT001_READ, the following message has been returned from system BPP:  .
Kindly help me  regarding this

Hello,
In SMSY got to the system SID in question and expand it.
Select the ABAP stack
Highlight the production client
Clcik on the Check RFC Button (3rd RFC Button from left)
Clcik on Check RFC DESTINATION button.
It will cehck the *_READ, the *_TMW and the *_TRUSTED RFC conenctions
You have an error on RFC SM_BPDCLNT001_READ, so you should expect to see this and get mor edetails on the error with this check.
Here is an example of the output from a system where my user is not authoried to logon to a trusted system, and the error is on the *_TRUSTED RFC
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_READ check beginning
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_READ function checked
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_READ check ended
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_TMW check beginning
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_TMW function checked
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_TMW check ended
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_TRUSTED check beginning
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_TRUSTED function error
@5C\QError@     RFC connection SM_SLMCLNT803_TRUSTED cannot be made (No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trusted RC=0).)
@5C\QError@     Function group SCCA cannot be called in RFC system SM_SLMCLNT803_TRUSTED
@5B\QInformation@     RFC destination SM_SLMCLNT803_TRUSTED check ended
You shoulkd see some error on the SM_BPDCLNT001_READ RFC,
Then you can click to get more details, and there may be additional Long Text data on the error.
This should help isolate the issue. If the RFC shows no errors then it is likely SDCC/SDCCN is not activated.
You can check the status on the managed system. You can also test the back RFC and the REDA, TMW and TRUSTED RFCs in SM59.

  • SDCCN Error: No valid service EWN

    hello All,
when we try to execute the EarlyWatch Alert on Tr SDCCN the system stop with the following error in log of task
Data collection failed for session 000Z000000001 EWALERT
    > No valid service EWN
    Please your help
    Thanks
    HEPC

    Hello,
Create fourth one too, to refresh service definitions, you will get that task in the task list while creating a new task. and Create it as periodic one.
RFC for this task, obviously depends upon whether you are scheduling EWA directly to SAP or to Solman. Accordingly, services will be refreshed either from SAP system or from Solman system.

  • EWA setup error

    Hi Guys,
In have configured EWA in our solman but the problem is no report is generated.
There is red flag icon under early watch, when i click on it , it asked me to call SDCCN which will take to the satellite system. and open SDCCN screen. i created Session_refresh task but no data is being generated.
Could you please guide me how to troubleshoot this?
    Regads
    Abhishek

    Hi Abi,
The EWA Report can be sent to SAP Using SAPOSS RFC Connection or can be sent to Solution Manager using RFC to
Solman SM_<SID>CLNT001_BACK to generate EWA Report.
Please Check and Specify the RFC, Time Period to Execute the EWA etc in maintenance package. Save.
after that Task is created. The data is collected from satellite and sent back to solution manager for generating EWA report.
Start the session immediately. Before that you sholud be activate the basic Setting via SPRO as
Basic Settings -> Standard Configuration of Basis Settings - Solution Manager -> Activate Solution Manager Services-->Enhanced configuration of SAP EarlyWatch Alert
Try it then Let me know.

    Hi,
The RFC that the destination uses is likely to try and use your current user id.  If this is the case, make sure that you have the S_RFCACL authorization object defined on your user.
This link should help to explain things further:

  • EWA service data taking long time

    Hi,
In our landscape for one system while generating EWA the Service data collection is taking more than 800 min. How can we reduce this

    Hello,
I understand, but I am sure the data colelction is done on the Satellite system with the EWA SDCCN TAsk and is populated
via the SM_<SID>CLNT<nnn>_BACK RFC. So have you checked this task log for any errors or time outs? Every EWA states how long the data collection task took. But you have to look at the data colelction task to get more information.

  • EWA issue

    Hi experts,
I had configured EWA for abap stack for my landscape, the issue is background job is not running automatically,
The service is ready to process session data.
The data will be processed automatically by the background job "SM:EXEC SERVICES".
If you do not want to wait for the background job, you can start the job manually:
    Choose Start Service Processing.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
    Session number: 5000000001053
My doubt is how to shedule this job automatically, and also this background job will run solman or backend system.
    Regards,
    Sampath.

    Hello.
You should double check what Mani said, but only if you have never gotten EWA reports for those systems.
For the systems that you are missing the reports, are there any errors in the EWA SDCCN task logs in the Satellite systems?
Is it possible that SM:EXEC SERVICES is running prior to the SDCC EWA tasks for the missing systems (meaning they would process automatically in the next day).
These are things you can double check.
Now if you can process these missing reports manually, then they are status "Put in Solution" and it would strongly indicate you have scheduled the EWA tasks in the Managed system to ran after SM:EXEC services. In which case the correction is to schedule them earlier.
And for the person who is sugegsting you run SM:EXEC SERVICES weekly, a BIG NO to that! This job is to be scheduled daily as per SAP documentation. It is not SM: EWA it is  SM:EXEC SERVICES.....it processes service sessions of all kinds, and not just weekly EWA reports. So please ensure it is scheduled to run daily. The default time is 4:00 am each day.

  • EWA not working

    Hi All,
For some system, We are not getting EWA reports.
    We checked self Dialognosis says:
No RFC connection to the Solution Manager in the system BPD SDCC
While I checked in SDCCN->Goto->Settings->Task Specific->RFC destinations, We see Solman_back RFC is there and it is working fine.
When I go to SDCCN I also do not see any session with name EarlyWatch for Solution Manager scheduled which I ecpect should be available.
Please suggest possible cause of error.
    Shivam

    Hello,
I see Jared has provided you with a good resource.
However if the *BACK RFC is working, and the refresh session does not create an EWA SDCCN Task,
you want to check that the installation numbers on the managed system and SMSY match. If they don't the managed system will never pull the session with a refresh session task. This is a common mistake, so please double check these numbers match.

  • Solution Manager for EWA

I already configured my EWA (SDCCN), but then I realize that EWA need Solution Manager to run.
I need to know how to install Solution Manager for my EWA? Do I need to install in separate server? Or there are others option for me to consider?
Pls help me to figure this out…

    Hello Hazha!
I don't know how you can configure in SDCCN an EWA session without the Solution Manager, but if you did so, you can send your EWA data to sap, where they will be processed and where you can find them in your inbox.
You need a well functioning SAPOSS RFC destination (TA OSS1).
SDCCN -> Goto -> Settings -> Task Specific
You will get a window with a tree list. Open RFC-Destinations -> Settings and click on the settings icon.
In Dialog RFC destinations, Tab Destinations you might click on the Info-Icon (botton) and you will get documentation. Click now on the Change Icon.
You will now get a new icon "Create destination to SAP OSS". Please use it, it should generate the destination SDCC_OSS.
    Please test the destination.
Now you can insert this RFC-destination into the task attributes of your EWA-Session, system-id should be O01.
    Bye
    PS.
You might also have a look at the documentation at http://service.sap.com/ewa -> Media Library

  • EWA without Diagnostics

    Hi There
We are planning on setting up EWA in an Solution Manager 7.0 Ehp1 system.
Our Landsacpe consists of 4.7 R3 systems based on SAP_BASIS 6.20 and BI systems based on Netweaver 7.0. All the systems, Logical componenets and Solutions have been setup in SMSY on the Sol Man system.
We are not planning on implementing Diagnostics in the near future and we have do not have CCMS setup in  any of the R3 or BI systems.
Now is there any value in just setting up EWA for these systems in SOl Man. If we turn on SDCCN in the R3 and BI systems what kind of alerts will I be able to see in Sol Man system, assuming that all config related to EWA (SDCCN) has been setup in Sol man and satelliet systems.
Also, we have configured the production systems in a separate solution.
If I regsiter this solution with SAP will I be getting any reports on the health of the systems based on the current config ?
Will EWA collect statistics from saposcol in each system and generate any valuable reports OR will EWA without CCMS setup (OR Diagnostics) not yield any report ?
    Thanks

    Hi Sapkid,
You can configure EWA without diagnostics and later add the same with diagnostics. The initial prerequisite of configuring diagnostics is Activating SDCCN , Early watch alerts etc, We call it as Starter solution manager pack. Once this is done, we can proceed with configuring diagnostics by installing wily IM , SMD agents etc.
Please go ahead and configure EWA  and diagnostics can be added at later stage.
    Best regards,
    Vin

  • HELP! Random errors creating SAP documents via Add-On.

    Hi,
We have a very odd situation.  Our add-on has been running for 4 years.  During this time, we've made several enhancements.  In the last couple of weeks, users are getting random errors during the code that posts SAP documents.  The error doesn't occur creating the same documents everytime but the error message is always the same.  I cannot get the add-on to crash in the development environment.  Furthermore, once a crash occurs, the users can immediately try again and the document will then be created successfully so it's baffling.  We thought we'd tracked it down to the fact that when restarting a users Windows session, we were retaining the user profile files that SAP creates to store the SQL Server settings.  We found that the problem went away once we started deleting these files upon logout, but, the problem just got less frequent, it didn't completely go away.  Here is the error information:
Error: The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT))
    Source: Interop.SAPbobsCOM
    Stack Trace:    at SAPbobsCOM.FieldClass.set_Value(Object pVal)
I should say we've also uninstalled and reinstalled the DI API but that didn't help either.  We are running SAP 2007A SP01 P05 with users logging into Windows Server 2003 via Citrix.  Also note, this error is only occuring with documents being created through the add-on, no crashes occur creating documents direclty through SAP front end.
    Thanks very much,
    David

    Hello David.
I have the exatly the same situation at Customer, only in 2007A version.
The Addon has been developed for 6.5 and was running perfect in last 4 years. After upgrade,  the users got the random messages. and the user try it again can sucessfully post the documents. Only at this company.
There is no citrix, and virtual server, onyl W2003 (32bit:) behind a firewall. (MS SQL 2005 SP2)
In my sample, and your error message is the common: YOu got the message when you are using User Defined Field in marketing documents.
I have found a note about change "coding" of update of User Defined Fields, it was not helped.
    Note number: 1235603
    Major change:
    +
This issue results from using the following code:
    SAPbobsCOM.Field f = oPOrders.Lines.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_test")
Instead of the above syntax, you should use the following:
    SAPbobsCOM.ProductionOrders_Lines f1 = oPOrders.Lines
    SAPbobsCOM.Field  f =  f1.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_test")
Using the suggested syntax lets you perform the operation correctly. The issue does not happen with a regular connection.
    +
In Small DB-s i was unbale to reproduce this issue, but in that specific customer (>40GB) i always trouble with this.
    My experience,
    - that i have created some custom indexes over marketing documents, and the error message was not appears in frequently.
    - changed 32 SQL Server Memory Allocation to EWA, the error message was not appears in frequently.
I think this is an SQL server issue.
I am intrested in the solution, SAP Support Center was unable to find any solution for this issue.

It is strange to notice SAP ship product without doing a Syntax check?

Follow the instructions of SAP Note 727998. It's the standard answer and it's always recommended. It will solve the SYNTAX_ERROR.
With a currrent ST-PI, you can also perform the steps in your Solution Manager in transaction SDCCN very conveniently.
Run SDCCN, choose Utilities -> Maintain Service Definitions.
The code is generated and can not be delivered by SAP.

  • RTCCTOOL check - EWAlert setup

    Dear All,
I am running RTCCTOOL for Service Preparation Check.
All the checks are OK except EWAlert setup. System shows Red flag and message as below :
    ===========================================================================================
    7. [Note 207223  ]   EWAlert setup
Description     Setup of the EarlyWatch Alert service

Implementation  We recommend that SAP Solution Manager be used to monitor your systems
via Earlywatch Alert. In this case you activate it just by including
a system into a Solution Landscape. See the note 1257308  . If this is
not possible, data for productive systems can be processed at SAP.
    ===========================================================================================
I have configured Ealrly watch on Solution manager as well as on my production system. Weekly Early Watch Alert report is also generated and I am receiving it on my email id regularly.
What above error shows I can't understand. Is there any setup is pending ?
    REgards,
    Nirav

    Hello,
You will get this message if the criteria is not met. Has it been met?
E.G. Have you now run 2 EWA reports in the last 60 days?
SAP Note 207223 is used to process EWA reports at SAP, and is for custoemrs that don't have a Solution Manager system
or it is unavailable to process EWAs.
So this is really a check in SDCC/SDCCN for an EWA SDCCN Task to have been scheduled/run at least 2 times in the last 60 days, as EWA reports are intended to run once per week, this should be satisfied by the 3rd week.
You mention the EWA is running and you get the emailed report regularly. This would indicate that you have bene generating  it for a while, but it also sounds like you just set this up.
And when you run RTCCTOOL is it on the Solution Manager system or the Managed production system?
Have you generated more thn 2 EWA reports for the system you are running RTCCTOOL on in the last 60 days.
Also ensure you have setup the EWA according to best practices, especially the SDCCN setup at this link

    Please help.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Did you get chance to check the Remote Login of the RFC and authorizations of the user?
Go to SDCCN of Satellite System.
    1. Check the status of Task Processor.
Menu "Goto->Settings->Task Processor"; Check Task Processor Status, make sure its active.
    2. Check the Task-Specific Settings
In t-code SDCCN --> Menu "Goto->Settings->Task-Specific" . Check the following under "Session Data Collection".
"Data request->Settings ". Confirm the checkbox is checked for "Allow Approximate Data Collection".
    "Maintenance->Settings".
