EX90 turn camera off

Hi everyone,
One of my customers wants to answer a call only with audio no video and enable video if he would like, is it possible on telepresence endpoints such as EX90? He doesn´t want to use camera's  "private cover".
I appreciate your comments.

When placing a call, you can set the call rate to "Audio only".
When answering a call, I do not believe there is an easy way to do that, other than the privacy shutter.

  • A77ii "Camera Error: turn camera off then on" started with all lenses, SD cards and batteries. :(

This error just started yesterday with my A77ii.  The shutter will take one picture, then freeze with this error, which doesn't even go off when I turn the power off.  It stays on for 5 minutes or so before it finally shuts down.  Same problem with all lenses, batteries and different SD cards.  Do I have a bad board? Fortunately I'm within the year warranty.  Any suggestions? thanks in advance

    Hi stewsir,
    Welcome to the Sony Community!
Sorry to know that you are experiencing this issue with your camera. You can do a power reset in the camera by removing the battery and have the camera turned on for at least a minute. Reinsert the battery back and turn it on. Check if you still see the error message.
If the message still appears in the screen and the camera still freezes, I would recommend sending the camera in to http://repair-camera.com/SonyRepairHome.aspx for evaluation and repairs.

  • The image came up on my screen saying that I need to connect my iPod to iTunes, but I have a passcode, so it won't allow me to. And I want to try and turn it off, but my touch screen doesn't seem to be working either. HELP!

The image came up on my screen saying that I need to connect my iPod to iTunes, but I have a passcode, so it won't allow me to. And I want to try and turn it off, but my touch screen doesn't seem to be working either, so I can't even turn it off since you need to "slide to power off." HELP! I'm leaving on Thursday morning for six and a half weeks, and I absolutely need my iPod with me. I was just at the Apple store today for problems I was having with ANOTHER product, and I don't really want to drive all the way out to where my nearest store is (which is not very near) if I can figure this out at home. My iPod was working totally fine earlier today and last night, so I don't know what happened! Please, please, PLEASE HELP!

Now it's allowing me to reboot (hold down power button and home button and restart), but every time it just comes up to the same thing: the connect to iTunes page. Which is not possible. And I refuse to restore my iPod. PLEASE HELP.

  • I too had the same vertical white line in the centre of the screen last night after having my iPhone 5 up and running for 10 days. I managed to turn it off by holding the buttons in and it came up with the iTunes screen....2 hours later it came good?

I was talking outside on my iPhone 5 in a fairly humid environment (The Pilbara in January, 2014) then when the call was finished I hung up (as I was walking back inside to the air-conditioning) this white vertical line appeared in the centre of the screen and wouldn't go away. I couldn't use it NOR could I accept calls. (I called my number from my other phone). I eventually managed to turn it off after removing the protective casing (Otter Box) and then it came up with the white cord / iTunes screen........I left it for a while...it turned back on BUT is still had a flickering screen.......I re-charged it and I have backed it up this morning (at work) on iTunes and it seems to be working 'fine.' All I can say is 'DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR SAMSUNG GALAXY PHONE IF YOU HAVE ONE!' I haven't had an OUNCE of trouble with it and have owned it for at least 3 years. The iPhone has been up and 'running' since the 6th of January, 2014. This happened on the 15th of January, 2014.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

If resetting the camera app doesn't work you can try restoring your iPhone's software. The entire process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure you do a backup. Make sure you do a backup.

  • My phone is on silent but my camera still makes sound how do I turn that off ?

I have an iPhone 6 and i turned all my phone onto silent and there's no sound what so ever but once I take a picture it makes sound how do i turn it off it won't stop every time I take a picture !

    Hello Taniaaychan,
If your iPhone is muted using the Ring/Silent switch on the side of your iPhone and you're still hearing the shutter sound, this function may be disabled.
Adjust the volume of the shutter sound with the Ringer and Alerts settings in Settings > Sounds. Or mute the sound using the Ring/Silent switch. (In some countries, muting is disabled.)

  • Hi Guys this morning I turn on my macbook pro 13 retina and light white smoke came off, the laptop have only 2 weeks brand new.

Hi World just this morning I turn on my brand new macbook pro 13 just 2 weeks old and slight white smoke came off the laptop.
    Any help!!!!
    Thanks.

Make srue you have got a backup of your files and take it to an Apple Retail Store or reseller.
The MacBook has failed. As your MacBook is in warranty, you will probably receive a new one instead of getting it repaired

If you take a screenshot (Press the home button and Lock button at the same time), does it appear on the screenshot? Zoom in on the screenshot and see if it's still there.
If not, then your display is failing. I would recommend taking it to an Apple Store if you can, if you can't then to an authorised Apple reseller.
If it does appear on the screenshot when you zoom into the spot, then it's a really weird software issue! You might have to backup and restore the device.
    Let me know!

  • I keep getting an error 05 code on my t31 and turning the camera off and back on does not work.

I keep getting an error code 05 when I try to use certain modes on my Rebel T3i.  It seems as though my auto flash is stuck.  Is this a common complaint....and if so.....what is the answer to deal with this issue.  I have followed the instructions of turning the camera off and back on....to no avail.  HELP!!

    Hi Hydra171,
The Error 5 error code indicates a malfunction in the popup flash mechanism.
If this is not cleared by turning the camera off, then on, your camera will require service to correct this issue.
You may set up the repair for your camera here.

  • When tethering Lightroom 5.6 and shut off camera and turning camera back on.

If I turn the camera off during a session and the camera is tethered Lightroom 5.6 will not recognize the camera is turn back on.  I have to close Lightroom and restart it.  This has only been happening since the upgrade.

Just wondering if it is your filter settings?  but you would get "no photos match the filter"
