Exact Difference between Non Stock NLAG and Non Valuated UNBW Materia type
Dear All
What is the Exact Difference between Non Stock NLAG and Non Valuated UNBW Materia type?
I tried creating Purchase Order and found that accouting doc got created at both times and stock was not updated in MMBE for both material types.
Regards
Hi,
non-valuated material (Material Type UNBW):
This type of material is managed on a quantity basis, but not on a value basis. This makes sense for materials of low value, stocks of which nevertheless have to be monitored (for example, operating manuals).
Non-stock material (NLAG) (Material Type NLAG):
Inventory management is not possible for these materials either on a quantity or value basis. For frequently required consumables, the use of this material type nevertheless enables you to store the information required to create
purchasing documents (such as texts and units of measure).
When a material is procured directly for consumption, no material master record is necessary. In connection with consumable materials, you can distinguish between the following cases:
Consumable material without material master record
Consumable material with material master record that is not subject to
inventory management (on either a quantity or value basis)
Consumable material with material master record that is subject to inventory management on a quantity, but not a value, basis

Difference between a persistent messages and non persistent messages in JM
Hi
This question is with respect to persistent messages , and non persistent messages .
As per the docs it says that for persistent messages the QueueSender.send() blocks until it recivies an acknowledgement .
Here my question is what is the difference between a persistent messages , and non persistent messages
Thanks in advance .The exact behaviour depends on the JMS provider being used. But since non-persistent messages are defined to be unreliable, the provider may indeed decide that it's not necessary for the server to acknowledge the receipt of a non-durable message from a producer.

What is the difference between WTR1 stock price and Price, some time both are zero?
what is the difference between WTR1 stock price and Price, some time both are zero?
please adviceHi,
Are you referring these two field in WTR1 table? If yes,
(Figure 1 There is no price defined and received with zero price)
1. Based on price list, this info price will be updated. If there is no price, this field is zero
2. If you receive any item without price (for GRPO with zero price), then field is zero
3. If you receive item with price, based on quantity, the moving average price will be updates at item cost.

Exact difference between tolerance key AN and AP
HI,
Can any one tell me exact difference between the tolerance keys AN & AP with examples?
Thanks& Regards,
Pushparaj S.Hi Swetha,
So, do you mean that AN & AP are the same as per the functionality wise. but only AP can allow further filter of the items as per the additional setting for item category?
For example:
Custo:
AN: upper limit 100 EUR
MIRO:
IR: Item 1: Item category: "L" exceeds 100 EUR
IR: Item 2: Item category: "Standard" exceeds 100 EUR
Result:
In this case system will block both items...
Custo:
AP: upper limit 100 EUR
Item category: "standard"
MIRO:
IR: Item 1: Item category: "L" exceeds 100 EUR
IR: Item 2: Item category: "Standard" exceeds 100 EUR
Result:
In this case system will block only item 2...
Please confirm this...
Thanks & Regards,

What is the difference between authorisation if-authenticated and none
Hello,
I am working on a AAA configuration, and can't determine the practical difference between authorisation none and authorisation if-authenticated.
I realise the obvious difference, that if TACACS is down, with none there is no authorisation if none is used; and if TACACS is down authorisation will allow all commands if if-authenticated is used.
However, since you must always be authenticated, before authorisation commences, in practical terms, there is no difference that I can see between if-authenticated and none? Can anyone please explain if there is a practical difference between them.
#####################Authorisation if-authenticated#############
aaa authorization exec default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
aaa authorization commands 1 default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
aaa authorization commands 15 default group tacacs+ if-authenticated
#####################Authorisation none##################
aaa authorization exec default group tacacs+ none
aaa authorization commands 1 default group tacacs+ none
aaa authorization commands 15 default group tacacs+ none
Many Thanks
Ian PottsOne use I can think of is where you have both AAA and local configured for exec or command authorization. Let's say TACACS+ in the following manner:
aaa new-model
aaa authentication login default tacacs+ local
aaa authorization exec default tacacs+ if-authenticated
username admin password
If you had this configuration without the "if-authenticated" statement and the connection to the TAC+ server goes down or you receive an ERROR in communicating with it such as a mismatched key, then it goes to local for authentication. If you did not want to use local authorization and want it to succeed exec authorization for this local account, then the "if-authenticated" statement would be needed.
Check out the debugs with:
aaa new-model
aaa authentication login default tacacs+ local
aaa authorization exec default tacacs+ local
AND the TAC+ server is down

6d21h: AAA/AUTHOR (4150549846): Post authorization status = FAIL

NOTE, Post authorization fails because there is no method set for EXEC for the local user. Now, put in "if-authenticated" and test again:

6d22h: AAA/AUTHOR (2893174055): Post authorization status = PASS_ADD
6d22h: AAA/AUTHOR/EXEC: Authorization successful
Note, the Post authorization passes because of IF_AUTHEN.
See the behavior?
Hope this helps. -
How to tell the difference between DRM (fairplay) music and non-DRM music?
Apple finally is selling non-DRM music and I've bought a couple songs in the past with ease. I like the system but I'm having a problem finding out which music is still using DRM.
Apple originally differentiated it by charging 30 cents more for the unprotected music. Now however they removed the surcharge, but there's no way to tell if the music I'm looking at is protected.
I choose not to buy DRMed music as I'm using my music to burn MP3 CDs for my car, and having to crack protection isn't the way I want to do it.
How can I tell using iTunes Store which music is DRM protected, and which music is DRM free?Agreed, I have stopped buying from iTunes until they eliminate the restrictions, and have started replacing the songs I DID buy from iTunes with non copy protected ones from Amazon. I tell everyone not to buy from iTunes for exactly that reason. There are lots of other excellent options, which do not have the stupid restrictions that Apple has. The iPod is great, iTunes with DRM is incredibly annoying.

Difference between normal Costing run and Costing run in Material Ledger
Hi everybody,
I have a question i wanted to know why we implement Material Ledger .
If material ledger is for settling variances on material then that is also possible without material ledger
Please clear the doubt what is different in ML as compared to normal costing run
thanks in advance
Regards
DeepaCosting run is to calculate the std cost estimate of materials and Material Ledger costing run is to calculate Actual cost of production of materials.

Exact difference between Item category and Account assignment category
Can anyone plz give the exact difference between account assignment category and Item category
Thanks inadvanceHi,
Account Assignment Category: Key indicating whether an item is to be assigned to an auxiliary account (such as a cost center). The account assignment category determines which account assignment data (e.g. cost center, account number, etc.) is required for the item.
Item category: Identifier indicating the characteristics of an item. The item category determines whether the following are necessary or allowed with regard to an item:
Material number, Additional account assignment, Inventory management in the R/3 System, Goods receipt, Invoice receipt.

Difference between on change of and at end of :
Hi Can any one explain me what is the exact difference between on change of and at end of .
I know the basic differences.
But i would like to know in which case we can use the above two statemetns.
Suppose :
Matnr plant sloc movementype date qty
12 001 002 261 12/11/08 10
12 001 002 261 12/11/08 11
12 002 003 261 12/11/08 12
Here i need to add the quantity based up on the material,
If the materials is maintained in different plants then it should give the total for for that particular plant.
Please help me how to build logic to this :
Regards,
Vinay.ok sure i will give it to u.
MATNR PLANT SLOC BWART BUDAT QTY1 QTY2 QTY3 QTY4 QTY5

Here i need to write the logic for that material usage :
This material usage will be caliculated based upon the movement types in that particular month :
The formula is :
AT END OF BUDAT.
FINAL_VALUE_WA-KWMENG12 = ( W_QTY261 - W_QTY262 ) + ( W_QTY201 - W_QTY202 ) + ( W_QTY551 - W_QTY552 ).
CLEAR : W_QTY261,W_QTY262,W_QTY201,W_QTY202,W_QTY551,W_QTY552.
ENDAT.
Here iam writting the logic as at end of the month iam caliculating.
But what my question is if we have same material in different plant and the usage is in the same month
then i think this query is going to fail.

Edited by: Joaquin Fornas on Feb 23, 2012 11:14 AMHi,
As you mentioned there are 2 status can be maintained for documents like Equipment Master, Notification, Maintenance Order & other important business documents.
In case, client feels that system status is not enough to capture the details of the object, then user status can be used.
System statuses will be updated automatically based on business transactions which will be done on SAP.
For example, once the equipment is created, System status would CRTD (Created). If you install the same to some superior equipment or FL, then status would be INST (Installed).
If you keeping that equipment in Spare, then for that, you have to maintain separate User Status like AVLB (Available in Stock / Spare) so that through IH08, by using User status, you can the report which is available as spare.
These user status as per the name, should be updated by the user manually.
