Edited by: Joaquin Fornas on Feb 23, 2012 11:14 AMHi,
As you mentioned there are 2 status can be maintained for documents like Equipment Master, Notification, Maintenance Order & other important business documents.
In case, client feels that system status is not enough to capture the details of the object, then user status can be used.
System statuses will be updated automatically based on business transactions which will be done on SAP.
For example, once the equipment is created, System status would CRTD (Created). If you install the same to some superior equipment or FL, then status would be INST (Installed).
If you keeping that equipment in Spare, then for that, you have to maintain separate User Status like AVLB (Available in Stock / Spare) so that through IH08, by using User status, you can the report which is available as spare.
These user status as per the name, should be updated by the user manually.

Update system status in JEST table
Hi Experts,
I need to update the system status TECO as inactive in table JEST based on some condition from program manually. It might not be suggested to directly modify the database table. I got one BAPI function module BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN, but could not find how to use it.
Can you please let me know whether there are any BADIs or BAPIs to update the system status in JEST table.
Thanks in advance for you help.
regards,
Lakshmi.Hi ,,
Thank you for your suggestion. but I got a FM which exactly updates the system status in JEST and JCDS tables.
The function module STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN and can be used as follows. We always need to follow one condition that, when the system status TECO is changing to inactive the REL status should be made Active.
DATA: i_stat TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF jstat.
DATA: wa_stat TYPE jstat.
wa_stat-stat = 'I0045'.
wa_stat-inact = 'X'.
APPEND wa_stat TO i_stat.
wa_stat-stat = 'I0002'.
wa_stat-inact = ' '.
APPEND wa_stat TO i_stat.
CALL FUNCTION 'STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN'
EXPORTING
client = sy-mandt
objnr = lv_objnr
TABLES
status = i_stat
EXCEPTIONS
object_not_found = 1
status_inconsistent = 2
status_not_allowed = 3
OTHERS = 4.

What is the system status for a transaction ?
Hi All,
I want to know what is the exact meaning (usage) of system status ?
We can create a user status in status profile and attach it to transaction type, then why do we use system status ?
Regards,
AshishHi Ashish,
User status are defined by the customer to define their business scenarios. So based on the business they can create status like Document Open (E001), In Transit (E002) etc. As you are aware that Status triggers the business flow in the SAP System. So based on a particular status the subsequent action will be followed. But how will SAP System know when to trigger the Billing, delivery and all the subsequent documents based on Customer Status Messages? So, to overcome this problem there is the concept of System Status like open (I001) etc which will help the system to keep track of the necessary actions. You can associate a System Status to User Status and hence you can trigger the business flow based on the status.
Have a look at the following link for a detailed technical info. The Status table is TJ30 for User status.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/5b/e4f53911cac83ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Hope this helps.

Exact Difference between Total Status And QM Status
Hello All,
I want to know Exact Difference between Total Status in Monitor And QM Status in Data Target.when these two are going to be changed manually. i am facing a Problem.
daily delta upload is going on from R3 to BW.Today it has given a problem while loading data. please give me u r ideas on this. how this delta should be Success.By changing which status ( Total, QM status) i need to chage for deleting the failure Request , to load delta again.
thanks in advance.
EswarThe global monitor queue time can be set in transaction RSCUSTV2. This is the time that the system allows to elapse before it sets a request to 'Terminated'. If the time of the last received message that logged a processing step on the monitor for this request has taken longer than the monitor queue time, the traffic light in the monitor is set to red.
If the monitor traffic light was set to red due to the queue time, this does not necessarily mean that the request can no longer be successful.
If the data is very delayed by the time it reaches BW (because the source system needs a long time for the extraction or because the link between the source system and BW was interrupted) or if the processing in BW needs a very long time in which the processing step does not log any messages on the monitor, the monitor traffic light becomes red and jumps back to yellow as soon as a new log for this request reaches the monitor. If you manually set the QM status in the monitor, this also does NOT prevent the updating of data for this request in BW! However, then the request can no longer turn green, since the manually set QM status always overrides the technical status of the monitor.
Bye,

User exit for Previous and current system status for 5 transactions
Hi Experts
My Objective to capture the Previous and current status of system status for 5 transactions in their user exits .
Description Business Object Transaction
Production Order operations BUS2005 CO02 to edit Production Order
Maintenance Orders BUS2007A IW32 to edit Plant Maintenance Order
INTernal ORDER BUS2075 KO02 to edit Internal Order
WorkBreakdownStruct BUS2054 CJ02 To edit the WBS element
Project System Network BUS2002 CN22 to edit Network
Activities Network
For Both Production order and Project System Network Activities Network ,
i got User exit " EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 "
But i am not sure whether we can use this or not for our purpose . When i am changing status and then saving , my break point comes to EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 .
But can we capture JEST or JCDS related data in that user exit or How can we capture both Previous status and Current ( Means New changed status ) . For eg From Released to Technically complete etc.
I want Status changed and its immedtiate previous status.
Do i need to check Exit or BADI before and after Saving .
Thanks
Regards
Gaurav
Edited by: TheGaurav on Sep 8, 2011 10:28 AMHi Himanshu
Many Thanks for the reply .
I also had some other processing needs to be done on the basis of those status. .
So do you have any idea or how to find what all exits or BADIs i can use for all of these 5 transactions , where
i can get data for JCDS ( or JEST ) .
CO02 to edit Production Order
IW32 to edit Plant Maintenance Order
KO02 to edit Internal Order
CJ02 To edit the WBS element
CN22 to edit Network
can we use EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 for CO02 and CN22 .

What is the exact definition of PO status "Changes transmitted" ?
Hi'
Can any one tel me what is the exact definition of PO status "Changes transmitted" ?
We are using a SRM05 system.
Thanks.Hi Yaron,
Changes transmitted status u2013 is related to POs for which the output is generated and processed (sent to vendor).
BBP_PO_ACTION_DEF> BBP_PD_PO> Go to action definition -->
Processing time -->
*_u2018Processing using Selection reportu2019_* -- Output is generated but not
processed manually we have to process it.
How to process the PO output manually?
Goto bbp_ppf / 'Issue Purchase Order' --> Enter PO number in
"Application Key" field --> remove the "Time frame" -->
Process the output (click on 'Output' Push button)
Processing when saving document --> Output is generated when you
ORDER the PO.
Please check the output definition maintained in your system. Also you can check this by processing the PO output manually. Once the PO output
is processed successfully, the PO will appear in "Changes Transmitted" status search result.
Hope this information would clarify your query.

HI all,
When I change the quantity on the Purchase Order above the tolerance ( which is 3 % of the Purchase Order Quantity in this case ), I get two errors,
1. u201COver Delivery cannot be more than 3.0%. Please change the confirmed quantity for the line item 0000000010. u201C
2. System Status - INCM active (SUS Purchase Order Response 5000u2026)u201D .
I could understand the first error as the changed quantity is above the tolerance. I am not sure what the second error means? Could anyone please explain me as to what does INCM active mean?
P.S: The second error is seen by one of the suppliers who is using supplier portal externally and is not allowed to click on the tab ' Update Prices' on the purchase order.
Many Thanks,
ShilpaHi,
INCM means 'Incomplete'.The document is incomplete.

ECR/ECO Authorization on system statuses - Coding help requested
HI PLM Gurus,
Unfortunately ( or that ,,,Iam not aware of)There is no SAP standard Authorization object to control a user setting a particular system status in ECR/ECO. This means by SAP's standard functionality any user who is authorized with authorization objects ECM_REQ and ECM_ORD in their role and all activities allowed, can set any statuses in ECR /ECO.
But typical business requirment in any change management requires the control status wise and so do we have one.
We knew this can be achieved by a custom authorization object. We have created a manual object but need help with coding to get the current status of the object for matching the authorization (allowed) values .
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
SatyaThanks Pranav,
Just to clarify ,I knew about the exit and Iam using the same exit, I was trying to get help on the coding part . Identifying Exit is not a problem .( we have used this exit a number of times for different requirements in ECM, like checking the lab/office field for an object before setting a system status , defaulting a new version of document etc)
Update : Got a parameter ( a dynamic field value)which helped us code very easily
,,,,Can share with you .
For system level authorization checks ,one can use Digital signatures and this might be the reason for not having(SAP not providing) a standard authorization object for "system status check "in Standard SAP ECM Authorizations.
Thanks a bunch for the response.

SUN Fire V65 - System Status LED - non-critical condition
Hi guys
We have a Checkpoint Cluster which is made up of 2 Sun Fire V65 servers.
The front panel of the servers are showing the System Status LED lights as Blinking Amber , which sun documenation has listed as
"Blinking amber: Indicates the system is in a non-critical condition" ref: http://dlc.sun.com/pdf/817-2024-12/817-2024-12.pdf
We have resetead the hardware, cleared ,logs, even change HW etc. The light goes away for some time and then returns.
Can anyone advise on what to do?
Sun has the following listed in their Troubleshooting pdf i ref before
"Non-Critical Condition
A non-critical condition is indicated with a blinking amber status LED and signifies
that at least one of the following conditions is present:
¡ Temperature, voltage, or fan non-critical threshold crossing.
¡ Chassis intrusion.
¡ Satellite controller sends a non-critical state, via the Set Fault Indication
command, to the BMC.
¡ A Set Fault Indication command from the system BIOS. The BIOS may use the Set
Fault Indication command to indicate additional, non-critical status such as
system memory or CPU configuration changes"
Is there any Unix / Linux / SPLAT logs I can look at or debugging we can look at.
Thanks in advanceYour initial description mentions that you have swapped various pieces of hardware around. I presume that means you used current parts instead of new-never-used components. Are both of the clustered systems showing the same symptoms?
I can only think of a couple of additional things to try.
Firstly, those are old boxes. V65's went EOL in January 2005, so yours are at least that old if not older. They are x86 architecture. Have you replaced the CR2032 CMOS battery that's on the systemboard? Have you additionally checked for voltage fluctuations in the data center? A marginal power supply can "mostly work" but it can be effected by an AC mains issue.
If that doesn't change anything, then you may need to contact Checkpoint. They may be able to point you toward some sort of heartbeat function that is tripping a fault level when it flip-flops between the two systems.
That's a software investigation and would be outside the scope of this forum. -
Table for system status for an order
Hi Gurus,
we are displaying a report in which list of orders we are displaying in that system status also we need to dispaly for that the logic we have used is take OBJNR from AUFK by passing AUFNR and get all the active status for that AUFNR by passing AUFNR in to JEST by setting the inactive status is equal to space and then by comparing those system status with table TJ02 and we are taking the system status codes from that table. But my requirement is to display the user status in the order how we will get in order screen? In JCDS table am getting the entries based on date and time but unwanted status also it is showing. tell me is there any way to get the exact order how we will get in the order screen.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
SatishHi,
Its client requirement. we need to show list of orders in a alv report for a particular selection. There for each and every order we are displaying the system status but it is not coming in proper sequence as compared with the order screen system status.
Please do the needful.
