Exact weight of RAW material

Hello,
our scenerio is QM is activated for raw material inspection.
Procedure is
1) Raw material(in stone form) came in truck.
2) in gate it is weight(Gross) is taken.
3) it is quility checked. if it is clear, truck is unloaded.
4) after unloading truck weight is again taken.
5) Gross weight - truck weight is net weight of GR.
now the problem is how result recording is done in SAP without having exact weight bcoz it comes after unloading. and unloading can be done only after quality ckeck.
Kindly give the solution.

Hi Rajendra,
I don't know how far it will hep you but I have an idea pls refer this.
You must have a separate operation for the Weight in the inspection plan for the material. And keep the MIC for "Net Weight" as long term inspection.
Now the second operation will be for the quality check, where all the MICs related to Quality checks will be incorporated. So perform the RR and then you can perform UD also. And stock posting also as well.
Now come back to the Net Weight MIC, which is long term MIC so you can record results for it after UD and Stock posting is completed.
If the idea is not clear, pls explain how does the physical process flows? I mean the gross weight done, noted in the result sheet.
Then the quality checks done (inside the truck itself) and results noted.
Then the unloading done, only if the quality checks passes, correct? And then net weight is calculated (Gross - Truck), and the results are noted in the sheet. And if rejected in Quality test it will be not unloaded and sent back, correct?

    Option 1. You can get the data from MARD, MAST & STPO tables.
    From MARD you can read the unrestricted stock i.e. LABST field.
    From MAST, read the finished product i.e. MATNR & WERKS (Material & PLant)
    From STPO read the component i.e. IDNRK & MENGE (Component & Qty).
    Option 2. You can get the data from MARD, AFKO, RESB tables.
    This would give you an exact consumption feedback.
    AFKO for production order details. (PLNBEZ for header material).
    RESB for components (qty consumed) for the order - Fields MATNR (Component), BDMNG (Req. qty), ENMNG (Withdrawn qty).
    You can now build the logic with the required multiplication i guess. If any further info is required, revert back.

  • BOM Creation for different FG from 1 Raw material

    Hi Experts,
    In my company I have 1 scenario where Sheet is a Raw material. After doing operations in 1 sheet (RM) 10 Finished Product are produced.
    So please can anybody help me to create BOM for FG as from 1 same Sheet (RM) 10 different Fgs are produced.

    Do you always produce 10 different FG's from single raw material sheet? or it is just a possibility to  use same raw material in different FG's.
    You can maintain independ BOM with sheet materiila as a compoenent . hope you have exact measure of qty you need in each BOM.
    If all the FG's are produced together then go with co-products.

  • Raw material Stock not reducing when cancelling Subcontracting MIGO

    Dear All,
    We are facing problem in subcontracting process. Suppose we have a HALB material X which is made up of material a and b.
    When we are receiving material X stock of material a and b is reducing at vendor end. but when we are cancelling MIGO or doing return delivery stock of material a and b is not increasing at vendor end.
    Due to this we are unable to get exact raw material stock lying at vendor end.
    It means when we are cancelling subcontracting MIGO stock of raw material is not increasing at vendor end instead of it HALB material stock is increasing at vendor end.
    Please suggest.

  • Raw material with variation of color

    We have a raw material car seat with different color option, the car seat is exactly the same except the color.
    For this raw material car seat, should it be different material number for each of the color option or just 1 material number for this car seat?

    If you want to use varient you can go for single material no with diffrenet classes and charactristics.
    If you dont you have to use different material codes.
    Also in view of costing , there should be different codes.

  • Requirement on raw material getting lumped

    Hi Gurus.
    cananyboduy please exaplain me on why the system is lumping together the requirement on the raw material in too advance.
    Here is the example. C is a raw material goes into B (semi finished) which goes into A (finished)
    Now there are three dates where we need to build A
    07/11/2011 - A - 4000
    08/08/2011 - A - 14000
    09/06/2011 - A - 15000
    Now what happening is all this 33000 of requirement is getting put on C (raw material) with todays date. The question here is why is the system asking us to buy the raw material fior a requriement which is in september.
    the planned delivery time on C (raw material) is 10 days, the inhouse production time for B (semi finished) is 10 days, and the inhouse production time of A is 10 days.
    So basically why would we need to buy a raw material so much in advance when there is no need. We are operating on a 7day factory calendar.
    Please throw some ideas

    Bah I had a similar problem 3 years back. I just vaguely remember the solution had something to with the Lot Size or setting the Individual/Collective indicator to 1.
    Sorry can't be of much help atm, but if I recall exactly what I had done will let you know.

    Hi Sai,
          You can try using MB51, use filter movement type 261. Add a filter for the posting date coverage.
    Then proceed. Click on the icon DETAIL LIST.
    Then click on the SUBTOTAL, add MATERIAL as a Criteria. The click the column AMOUNT IN LC.
    You should see the total issuances to per material.

    Hi Sai,
          You can try using MB51, use filter movement type 261. Add a filter for the posting date coverage.
    Then proceed. Click on the icon DETAIL LIST.
    Then click on the SUBTOTAL, add MATERIAL as a Criteria. The click the column AMOUNT IN LC.
    You should see the total issuances to per material.

    You should examine these reports and try to use them. You can get the information from COOIS ( components  and from MB51.

  • Price Difference A/c is debiting instead of Raw Material A/c when MIGO

    Please can any body help me regarding FI-MM integration.
    When do the MIGO transaction as per standard - Debit is Raw Material A/c and Credit GR/IR Clearing A/c.
    But in my System Debit is Price Difference A/c and Credit is GR/IR Clearing A/c is taking, because Price Difference A/c is coming from PRD transaction Key where I given Price Difference A/c. Why system is not taking Raw Material A/c from BSX transaction key.
    Please help me as soon as possible.

  • Raw Material Consumption to Process Orders

    Hi Friends,
    I need help with changing the way how we consume raw materials in our manufacturing organization.
    Current Process:
    A.     Receive product A in Warehouse, movement type 101. Debit Inventory Account, and Credit GR/IR.
    B.     Move product A to a storage location (out of Warehouseu2019s custody). Movement type 311. No impact to P&L, as no accounting entries.
    C.     Consume product A in a u2018Process Orderu2019 from that storage location 311. Debit Consumption Account, and Credit Inventory Account.
    Product A is listed in Bill of Materials and has to be issued to process orders for final consumption u2013 to give production variance as we are on standard costing system.
    Desired Process:
    We want to have stronger controls in our organization. We want to hit P&L in step B, as soon as Warehouse issues items out. This can be done using movement type 201 GI for Cost Center.
    But we also desire to see final consumption happening in process orders, as all our BOMs and standard costs account for the consumption of product A.
    Please advice how do we issue items to a process order that have already been issued to a Cost Center. What is it that I am missing?

  • Raw material profit centre document is not generated

    Hi All
    When i maintain profit centre in raw material and do GR/IR, only accounting doc is generated. The profit centre mentioned in material is reflected against both accounts in the entry. (rm inventory a/c and GR/IR clearing a/c)
    When I go and see report of that particular profit centre I dont see any posting. Why is it so?

    I am certain that a profit center document gets created for materials that have moving average price.
    If the profit center in the material master was entered after the goods receipt, then the amount is still  posted to a default profit center, but not to the profit center you expect.
    first find your movement in MB51 or in purchase order history tab of ME23N.
    Beeing in the material document, click the finance documents button at header level in document info tab. A pop-up appears where you have to select to where to go, either to the accounting doc or to the profit center document.
    If you see this profit center doc in this pop-up, then you can be sure that it is posted to a profit center. go into this document to see to which profit center the posting was made.

  • Excice invoice captured as capital goods, but material is raw material

    All SAP Gurus,
    We have wrongly captured (and posted) the excise invoice as Capital goods (RG 23C), but material is Raw material (RG 23A).
    Material document can not be reversed as material is already issued and consumed for production activities.
    To get the effect in Rg 23 A, we have passed the Excise JV (J1IH - Other Adj.).
    Due to this Excise JV, we are getting entry in RG 23A, but the same entry is also displayed in RG 23C.
    Is there a way to delete/remove/reverse this entry from RG 23C.

    Use following functions to adjust the duties in RG23A and RG23C;
    Go to J1IH - Excise JV
    Use following method to reduce duties from RG23C Accounts
    Making Adjustment Postings for Other Transactions
    Use: - You follow this procedure if you want to make an adjustment posting that does not fall into any of the other categories of adjustment offered by this function. You can only use an external document as your reference document.
    Procedure: -
    1. J1IH > Excise JV > Other adj.
    2. Enter data as required, including:
    u2022 Document number
    Enter the number of the external document that you want to refer to.
    u2022 CENVAT account selection group box
    Specify which account is affected by the adjustment posting is for. Here in your case select RG23C.
    3. Click on u201CEnteru201D button.
    The system displays the information from the material document.
    4. Adjust the posting date as necessary and enter Vendor code as per requirement.
    5. Enter the amount of excise duty in either of the following ways:
    u2022 To enter line items for different materials and the excise duty accordingly, choose u201CDetailsu201D button and enter the line items in the table.
    Here fill details like Material Code, Quantity as per Excise Invoice, Batch No, Reference (i.e. GRN Document), BED and Ed Cess Amount manually.

    Use: - You follow this procedure if a vendor has increased the amount of excise duty that it originally charged you and you want to debit the difference to your CENVAT account.
    Procedure: -
    1. J1IH > Excise JV > Additional excise.
    2. Enter data as required.
    In the Document number field, enter then number of the document sent to you by the vendor.

    Specify which account is affected by the adjustment posting is for. Here in your case select RG23A.
    3. Click on u201CEnteru201D button.
    4. Adjust the posting date as necessary and Enter Vendor Name.
    5. Enter the amount of excise duty in either of the following ways:
    u2022 To enter line items for different materials and the excise duty accordingly, choose u201CDetailsu201D button and enter the line items in the table.
    Here Enter Material code, quantity as per excise invoice, reference document (i.e. GRN Document), batch no., BED and Ed Cess Amount to be posted.
    u2022 To enter the excise duty only, choose u201CHeaderu201D button and enter the excise duty in the totals fields at the foot of the screen.
    6. If the duty qualifies as countervailing duty (CVD):
    a. Select CVD applicable.
    b. Enter the CVD amount in the BED amount field.
    7. Specify which G/L accounts are to be posted to.
    8. Save the adjustment posting.
    System will post Excise JV Document; Accounting Document with Part2 Serial No has been successfully created.
    Then do J2I5 - Extract and J2I6 - Print Excise Registers
