Exactly how long did it take before YOUR headphones went out?
This being my second iPod and knowing many a people who have owned iPods I knew when I bought the new 5th gen that the headphones would probable only last me a month. They lasted a week. Ok I went back to the Apple store and had them exchanged them. These have lasted me a surprising long time. 3 weeks.
My question, like the famous tootsie roll comercial, how long did it take before your headphones went out? ANd how many times can you have them exchanged?

I've been using 2G on and off for 3 years and just handed mine to my son. He wanted the cool iPod look with his non-iPod. I just opened my 2G Mini head phones a month ago. I havent opened my 5G yet. The newer ones seems a little bit cheaper made.
It all depends on how you treat it. I fall asleep with them on and still havent destroyed 2g Mini's. Too bad mine doesn't die so I can replace them with something better.
When buying new phones, check the user reviews, I know Koss notoriously go bad. Senheiser seems good.

I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you. I was freaking out at first, worrying that I was only getting like 3 hours or something it seemed out of it. I just happened to be listening to it longer than I thought and listening to higher-bitrate (256k) songs. so I set it on random and timed how long it played (between 256k, 92, and 28k files randomly). The battery lasted for abou 2-23 hours if I remember correctly. So I found I didn't have a faulty one, so I was happy. Any shorter life must be because of changing songs frequently.

The one time I had to send my iPod in for repair, it was back in my hands seven days later. I don't think you should call and gripe. I think you should call and politely ask for an update.

My shuffle is crapped out. I don't have phone support so I have to request service through the website. Apple says they will ship a new one to me...however, my question is:

How Long Did It Take For Apple 2 Replace Your Broken Nano's?
The screen cracked on my nano, so they sent me a box, and I sent it back to them. I got an e-mail that said they recieved it about 4 days ago, and Im wondering how long it will be before they send me my new one. By the way, mine was personalized. You think it will be like a week before they even ship it out back to me? I looked at the status page and there was no information on it also.
I am in GA and it took approx 10 days from the time I received the box to return the nano for service to the time I got a new one back

Did your's update successfully? How long did you wait. I've been waiting for about 8 hours now with no success, stuck at startup/bootup apple logo and rotating counter.
Mine only took about six minutes to install. Then the computer went through the two restart cycles that seem to be typical of system updates which took a few minutes. After that, the computer boots "normally". I have not timed it but it does not seem like an inordinate amount of time is required to start up. I would say if it's taking longer than a minute or two to boot, there's something not right.

Have finished doing the repository import
Now am facing error while doing the metadata import. I have OBIA 7.9.6.1 installed. So, have used the metadata files from that.
I had selected 2 applications for import - Universal and Siebel 8.1.1
But I still get the 5 errors in import.log file.
And when I go to log file the error is as follows:

So I contacted developer support yesterday to change my billing address so I could enroll into the ios development program. it's been nearly 24 hours and it still hasn't changed, how long does it usually take?
What is the message that you are getting when you try to use the account ? If it's disabled then it will remain disabled until you get it re-enabled ; if it's locked then it will depend upon why it's locked as to whether Apple will unlock it when you contact them.
If it's disabled then depending upon the reason you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
If that doesn't fix it, or if Apple have locked it, then contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -
How long did it take to talk a representative or a technician
I am more then a little up set. Im very disappointed in the time it took for me to talk to someone about my problem with my on demand service. The first time I called, I was on hold for 40 min waiting to talk to someone. I did not talk to anyone because my call was cut off. I waited two days to call back. I waited another 20 min before I talked to someone. Then it took the representative over an hour and a half not to fix my problem but give me some half job that did not take care of the problem. Plus I could not understand over half the conversation. I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if this the kind of service I should expect? If this is the kind of service they offer, then I WILL go back to Direct TV.

I was wondering how long it takes to install mavericks because its taking my imac with mac os 10.5 over 10 hours to install??!!
Are you sure you are on 10.5? If you got the computer in 2010, you should be on 10.6 (Snow Leopard)? And that would be what you need to download since you need the app store which was introduced with version 10.6.6.
It is a very large file - almost 5.4 GB - so unless you have a fast connection, it will take a while to download. I am on DSL and it took 2 1/2 hours to download and another 45 minutes or so for the install.
