Exactly what is input power for DAQPad-6015?

If we include the DAQPad-6015 in our system, what power do we connect it to? Using what type of cable or connector?

Hello Jack,
From the User Manual and Specifications, the power requirement is 9-25 V, 12W.   Out of curiosity, did your unit not come with a power supply, or are you making your own?
See the attached picture for dimensional information of the power plug for the unit.  Unfortunately, I do not have any part numbers for that plug.
Hope this helps,
Laura

  • Exactly What Optimizations Does "Save for Web" Perform?

    Hello all!
In Photoshop Elements 5.0, Save for Web works very well for me.  I'll likely just use Save for Web most of the time, but occasionally I want to perform only some of the web optimizations on a particular image.  I'd like to know how to perform some or all of the same optimizations manually.
Can anyone tell me what steps to take in the Editor (resizing, dpi changes, etc.) manually to mimic the Save for Web function?  Or point me to some documentation that explains exactly what Save for Web does to an image?
    - JTV

Here's the help section on the subject for E6...should be the same. It should be exactly the same in E5...actually probably no difference in any of the versions.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/PhotoshopElements/6.0/help.html?content=WSCC0C7B37-3AD2-43ca-9 BF0-677BFC551D97.html
Here's a video on using Save for Web.
    http://www.photoshopsupport.com/elements/tt/save-for-web.html
If you want to do resizing manually, Image<Resize<Image Size. Here you can set the image's size and resolution and set if you want the image to be resampled or not.
The compression would be done in the file<Save step.
If you save as a jpg, you can set image quality. Notice that below the preview check box the file size for the current setting is displayed. You can also do a visual check of the before and after image by checking and unchecking the Preview box.
Save As...for other file types display dialogs that apply to that image type.
Here's a link about using Image size dialog if you want to get into specifics and the math.

There should also be an option in the Organizer for emailing images. Never used it myself by it's over there somewhere...

  • Ellipsis - exactly what is it good for?

Seriously, I have yet to find a use for this thing.
I can't use it as a phone. When I first activated it, I tried to call it from my smartphone for testing. "We're sorry. The number you dialed has been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service." Yeah, no. I can't dial out either; the dialer app just goes 'dur?' when I try.
Bluetooth doesn't work. It'll *pair* with anything, but won't actually *connect* after pairing.
I put several of my usual notification tones on the SD card, since, you know, additional storage is what it's for. My PC sees them when it's connected via USB. The apps, however, don't. Not even ES File Explorer can find them.
Smart Push on my work (Exchange) account goes silent without warning until I manually refresh it. What's so smart about that?
I can't even use it as a navigator; nav apps don't see the GPS.
OK, I got the thing for free, and I suppose it's worth exactly that, but why am I paying $10 per month for the line? What am I getting for that $10, aside from a headache?

I'm sorry to hear you're having so mucn trouble with your tablet coinneachfitzpatrick. This tablet can not be used as a phone, which is why you received the error message when you called the number. In regards to bluetooth, what type of bluetooth connection are you attempting to add to your tablet. Due to this being a tablet and not a phone, it wont pair as your phone would. You can pair wireless keyboards and other devices. Here is a link to help http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/devices/knowledge_base.html/89045 .
Lets discuss your files you save to the device and smart push. Are the files you saved compatible with your pc? Is your tablet updated with the latest software which could correct the email issue?  Please keep us posted.

  • HT4898 what do you mean i cant sync my mail accounts?  That is exactly what I use MobileMe for...?

MobileMe wants me to switch to iCloud but, it says that syncing mail accounts will be unavailable...
What does that mean?  On one hand it says my mail will be available but, on the other hand that mail accounts wont be synced...
    Thanks!

iCloud works the same as MobileMe with respect to email.  When you migrate over to iCloud using MobileMe's upgrade page, all your  .me and .mac emails will move over to to iCloud.  You'll have to delete the MobileMe email account in your mail program and set up one for iCloud.

  • RTX vs ETS for DAQpad 6015 via USB

    hello everyone,
I wish to use a DAQpad6015 via USB, that I already have, with one of
the two real-time operative system offered by NI, ETS and RTX, having
as target computer a Dell desktop PC. As far as I know RTX does not
support DAQmx software but at the same time I have read that for
installing ETS USB has to be disabled in the BIOS.
Is there any solution for using DAQpad6015 via USB with ETS or RTX?
Another requirement is to get the environment with the shortest possible time to prototype.
Should I get ETS or RTX?, assuming that there is no incompatibilities between any of them and the target desktop PC.
    Thank you
    Miguel

    Hello Miguel,
USB is not supported under ETS or RTX. I would recommend any M-Series device for either of those RTOS.

  • What is the code for updating a table of content?

I'm looking online and not finding a command list or something helpful. I'm also on a government computer so a bunch of sites are blocked for security or something. I am making a script that does a few things and one needs to be updating the TOC but I cant find the command.
I wish this software had something simular to a program called MAYA has. "echo all commands" in the script editor so anything you do shows all code being exicuted.

Theoretically, if you are using Adobe's own ESTK to write your scripts, all commands can be found in the Help menu. Then again, searching in there is needlessly made difficult (i.e., you have to know exactly what you are searching for before you can find it). So (modest cough) ... Adobe InDesign CS6 (8.0) Object Model JS: Table of Contents
The command you are looking for is not in the "Table of Content Suite" since that only describes the format of the contents. It is a Document method: Adobe InDesign CS6 (8.0) Object Model JS: Document -- look for createTOC (this stupid editor doesn't show it but the link already points to the correct place -- perhaps this editor was written by "We Also Brought You The ESTK").
Searching through the thousands of pages is easier if you download the CHM version and use a good CHM viewer. Check out

  • What is the power spectrum unit for Unevenly Sampled Signal Spectrum.vi if the input signal unit is Volts?

The Unevenly Sampled Signal Spectrum.vi has two outputs, Power Spectrum FFT(X) and Power Spectrum FFT(X) Frequency. Can anyone tell me what's the unit for Power Spectrum FFT(X) if the input signal unit is volts. Also, is this VI equivalent to producing a PSD output?

    Hi,
The power spectrum will be in units of Vrms^2 which are power units. There is a very usefull VI that you can use to easily transform the units of your spectrum; the VI is called Spectrum Unit Conversion.vi. You select the type of spectrum that you have and the units that you want it to be converted to.

  • Why is my daqpad 6015 pulling down my digital inputs?

I have a daqpad 6015 configured with all digital inputs. The input impedance appears way too low. It pulls down my signals to about a volt from 5V. I know the impedance is supposed to be 'high', the manual is very vague on this subject. Could the board be damaged? Analog I/O is functioning perfectly??? 5V is right where it should be...
    Help?

Hello Wave_Man. Thank you for contacting National Instruments. The high impedance talked about in the manual is referring to the impedance on the input of the board, not the signal being input into it. A small impedance is actually preferred. What I think is happening is that your ground on your signal is different than your ground on you daqpad. When you connect them you should see 5 V. Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!

  • Exactly what partitions is the BIOS checking for when starting a HP mini 110?

My niece has a HP mini 110 that failed one day. On doing a bios hard drive check it failed (7 on read). I though I'd have to get a new one so I ordered another. While waiting for this to arrive I got access to a SATA usb bridge and as the opperating system was beyond repair and the disk unreadable by the HP mini, I decided to try to repair the disk. So I reformatted the old drive using my desktop computer. Windows had no problems with the drive and it seemed to run fine.
I also had to order the recovery disks (windows 7 intro).
Anyway on trying to reinstall using the recovery disks via USB DVD drive. It kept coming back with error 17 - which I found to be a hard drive error. I also tried installing using a Windows XP installation disk and this was more self explanatory it said there was either NO hard drive installed  - or 'it didn't match the hardware specs for the unit' (or words to that effect)
On getting the new hard drive - same problem. Even though both of these hard drives work as USB drives connected to my main desk. SO, my conclusion is that on boot up the BIOS inspects the hard drive, checks to see the configuration of the formatting. i.e. the size and partitions etc. and when these are not matching the BIOS idea of proper specs it rejects the hard drive and considers there is none installed.  Or perhaps there needs to be some basic files on the hard drive. Whatever the case, the bios concludes there is no hard drive and will always return a 'fail' in the bios hard drive test.
Any ideas on this? I need to find out exactly what partitions are expected by the bios. Does anyone have these specs, or perhaps you have a HP mini and can examine your hard drive and tell me the partition amounts and sizes?
Unless I can get the bios to recognise the hard drive I can't see how I can reinstall the OS on to it. Any and all help much appreciated.
    Thanks
When it comes to fixing computers the longest word in the English language is "JUST" . . . as in 'you just do that and it will work' :-)

beevo you have used your logic to come up with the answer but in this case you are just a little bit off. The hard drive error you see in the BIOS is a SMART error. This is read out by a chip inside the hard drive itself working in conjunction with the BIOS. The chip stores data and is constantly testing the drive and if the read time or seek time or such such parameter is out of whack it reports that to the BIOS and you get a SMART error. It is a pure hardware thing and has nothing to do with any partition scheme or anthing else to do with the actual contents of the drive. A blank hard drive (written with all 0s) will still throw off a SMART error if there is such an error. SMART errors vary in severity but my rule of thumb and the mainstream thinking on this is treat a SMART error like a diagnosis of an incurable cancer. The patient might live a while but his days are numbered. Back up, as stated above, and buy a new hard drive which you have apparently already done.
A drive with errors will sometimes format fine in Windows and work just fine as an external type drive with a usb connection but you would not want to use it for an operating system.
The fact that WIndows XP is not seeing the drive on installation is a Windows XP thing. Windows XP does not recognize SATA hard drives. You need to slipstream in a SATA driver while you run XP installation by either modifying the install CD or using a usb external floppy disk.
To be clear, have you tried the recovery disks with the new hard drive and you still get the error or you have only tried to install XP on the new drive? If you are getting the error 7 with the new drive, you may have bigger problems such as a bad storage controller on the motherboard. That kind of error can cause the BIOS to read out a SMART error, too. You might want to try a hard reset on the computer by removing battery and AC adapter, hold down the power button 30 seconds and then try to start it with the AC attached. You can also boot it with no hard drive in and try resetting the BIOS to default settings and try the hard drive again.
Also to be clear, is the error 7 actually showing up in the BIOS or is it showing up during installation from the recovery disks? Are the recovery disks Windows 7 or XP?

    Srinivasan-
For creating a Generic extractor based on a FM, you first of all need to know what is going to be your structure.. i.e. what all fields you need to pull from what all tables. A functional consultant may help you identify the exact DB tables.
Once you know them, hand over the requirement and the pdf mentioned by Krishna to the ABAP guy, he would be able to take this up further.
Also decide 1st whether you would be using a full load or delta. There is a slight difference in the way they are built.
Let me know how it goes.

  • What exactly is the Verizon CD for

We received a CD when we signed up for DSL. I am just wondering exactly what the purpose of this disk is?

I got a CD when I first signed up for DSL.
It's software that walks you through the process of setting up your DSL link.
First, it walks you through putting supplied filters in line with all your regular telephone equipment.  This section uses video to make the whole process crystal clear even to a complete neophyte.  Verizon seems to have put in quite a bit of effort to try to get most new customers through this stage without having to call tech support.
The second stage involves plugging the DSL router into the rhe PC via an ethernet cable,  into the phone line via a phone patchcord, and into AC power.  These cables are supplied.  This stage also uses video.
The next stage is a line test.  The video is very limited during this stage.  The test extends to the modem that's built into the DSL router, the phone line itself, the modem at Verizon's end,  and the internet gateway also at Verizon's end.  It logs into the gateway using some kind of all purpose account, with a username like "newDSLUser"  (I forget the exact username).
The final stage involves setting up the user parameters like the accountname and password assigned to this user for internet access, and access to a home page supplied by one of Verizon's partners.  My CD often flamed out in the middle of this stage, but no matter.  It got far enough so I could use the service.
The video is OK in this stage, but it's a little less simplified that than the first stage.  Perhaps setting up an account is just more abstract than plugging in a filter.  Or perhaps they have ot keep changing it over time to stay in sync with their service.
Overall, it's a good intro to DSL, and most users should be able to get up and running with it without calling a tech.
You may have a different version of the CD.  Your mileage may vary.

  • What's the purpose for the resistor in the jack of Pismo's power supply?

Recently the power supply of my Pismo started failing and I decided to troubleshoot it. Turned out the cable next to the jack was broken. I went on with the repairs and inside the jack I found a resistor connecting the negative terminal with the shield of the jack. What's the purpose for it? What would happened if I just removed it (I found a site that said it wasn't really necessary)?
    Andy

After talking to a couple of experts in the field of electronics, they both confirmed tat that resistor is there in order to suppress any RF interference that the PowerBook might produce.

There is no download aside from the one in the Mac App Store available to people running Mac OS X 10.6.6 and newer. The other way of getting iPhoto 9 is to purchase iLife 11 on DVD. As iLife 11 requires Mac OS X 10.6.3 or newer, it's usually best to update to 10.6.8 for free and then use the Mac App Store version.

What is the power voltage required for apple tv? This is not mentioned in the booklet.

It's described as a Universal power supply and as far as I know assuming you're not hooking it up to some non-standard home made power supply it should work worldwide on known mains systems (at the very least in those countries where it is sold ANY AppleTV should adapt to the local mains power).
