Exam reslut update

i have passed an exam number 74-409. my question is after how many days i can download the script from mcp site.

Hi, Najeeb.
Here is some information about that exam:
http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/btl/b/weblog/archive/2013/12/17/earn-your-microsoft-certified-specialist-server-virtualization-title-with-a-free-exam.aspx
It should appear on your transcript as a new Specialist Certification title within seven (7) days. Occasionally, Microsoft will accidently create a new MCP ID for a testers passed exam instead of adding it to your existing transcript. This can especially
happen if you are not using the same email; address at Prometric as you are using with Microsoft. Watch for a congratulating email from Microsoft.
If it doesn't appear after seven (7) days, you can email or call your Microsoft Regional Service Center. have your printed exam results ready, which includes your Prometric ID.
Gather all the evidence you can and then contact your Microsoft Regional Service Center. Their email address is
[email protected]
You can also call them on the phone. If you call them, they may tell you to wait up to ten (10) days. Please use the following web page to find the correct contact information for help.
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/help.aspx.
This web page includes email and phone contact information for your geographic location so you can email or call them directly. They will help you get this figured out.
NOTE: This public forum is usually monitored by fellow IT professionals like you and me but not by Microsoft employees.
Good luck!

  • When will the ACE exam be updated for LR 2.0?

Just wondering if anyone has heard if / when the ACE exam for Lightroom will be updated to reflect the fact that we're on Version 2.0 of the software (well, 2.2 / 2.3 I guess). It seems to me that the summary page:
    http://partners.adobe.com/public/ace/main.html
    and the prep guide:
    http://partners.adobe.com/public/en/ace/ACE_Exam_Guide_PhotoshopLightroom.pdf
don't specifically refer to v2.0 and I don't *think* they've been updated recently. I have tried emailing Adobe support about this, but they have only said that "it depends on the higher authority and the web development team who takes decision amongst themselves about the schedule of the exam." I find it hard to believe that the web development team decide what goes into the LR ACE exam! However, I tried to seek clarification and was given the same answer once again.
I seem to remember reading that when a new version of a program is released, the ACE for the older version is only valid for another X months (possibly 6?), before you have to re-take the exam for the new version to remain ACE-qualified. Obviously I don't want to take the ACE exam for v1.0 (which I don't actually even have any more!) if they suddenly update it next week.

I have asked someone who should know and will wait for an answer then post back.

  • Exam results not updated on Oracle CertView

I have passed the following exam :
    1z0-052 - Oracle 11g Administration I
in October 22 . The exam results are posted in my PearsonVUE account , but not updated in Oracle CertView acount . Only my previous exam ( 1z0-051 , which was in March ) details are there .
I have contacted ( a web-form ) Oracle Certification Support two days ago and they never responded.
My OCA certification is processed only after this exam is updated. How to resolve this ?

    user10268116 wrote:
It is obvious that Oracle would verify candidates attendance in the Instructor Led Training.
But how many days it takes from Completion of Track Exam and actually receiving certification ?
I have raised SR : 22787267 for getting OCP Logo as its more than 3 weeks that I have received OCP Success Kit.
Can some one from the Certification Team provide answer to this as I'm being constantly asked where I work about the actual Certification.
Can Oracle find a middle way out to such issues as this may be faced with many alike ?

Edited by: user10268116 on Nov 16, 2011 2:37 PMThis is somebody else's thread.... the subject is certview ... it is not obvious from this thread you are talking about certview.
It would probably be better if you are in your own thread.
Is it that you have access to certview and your certification doesn't show there, or is it that you haven't recieved your certification success kit in the post?
It you register on http://certview.oracle.com you can publish your certification credrentials via email from Oracle Certview to thrid parties who ask.

  • Updating Oracle Certification, which exam I should pass?

Hello, everyone, please can anybody advice me, regarding question in topic. My Solaris Administrator Certificate will expire in June, and Solaris Network Specialist in July, earlier in Sun there was one exam, for updating current certification. But now we have Solaris 11, which exam I can pass for updating my Solaris certification. Can I pass Solaris 11 exam, for example "transition to Solaris 11" for updating my certification.
    Thank you in advance.

Certifications do not expire, but we do recommend that you keep your certifications up-to-date. Exam 1Z0-820 will upgrade your certification to Solaris 11 (training not required, but recommended). There is not an 11 version of the Network Admin at this time, but your current certification will not expire.

  • Exam 1Z0-007 and questions from Controlling User Access

    Hi,
I am preparing for exam 1Z0-007 and going to give this exam in two weeks. I like to confirm if "Controlling User Access" topic is part of this exam 1Z0-007? I have checked on Oracle website and this topic is not a part if this exam anymore unless they add it later.
Has anyone recently given this exam and were there any questions related to "Controlling User Access" or user Privileges?
    Thanks

It is certainly true the topic you mentioned is in ISBN: 007-219537-1 printed in 2001.
It is also apparent, unless bigdelboy's eyeball is deceiving him, the topic does not appear in [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_org_id=28&lang=US&p_exam_id=1Z0_007] which is authorative.
I have not followed these things that closely until recently, however this will not be the only example of an OraclePress/Sybex book being left behind because of errata/topic updates etc. These often occur when the exams are update for new releases, eg from 10gR1 to 10gR2; or for when the exam moves from beta to production (sometimes these books are prepared and even pulbished while exam is in beta). In your case I suspect the change quite probably have occured when the exam moved from 9gR1 to 9gR2 or to better accomodate the WDP programme. The exam may also be influenced by the content of Oracle training courses that are being taught and from time to time these will be chaged for a variety of reasons.
How you handle it is up to you ..... you may:
    - ignore these topics. IMHO you are always entitled to complain if questions asked did not sigificantly match the published topics and you feel this caused you to fail. (I assume the remedy would be a retake voucher). You can hit a comment button on the question and also a comment button the the end of the exam. This is a sort of negative approproach.
    - Go over these topics. If your're serious about Oracle you really need to understand this anyway. See it as an opportunity. A few hours revision ought tosee you able to answer 50% of he topics. This is a positive approach. And this if how certification study ought to be .... sometimes it good to investigate a non examined topic that is interesting.

  • What is the new Oracle exame that just showed up on Pearson vue today called - Exam:1Z1-006: Oracle Database Foundations?

    Hi,
I just saw a new beta exam show up today (Thursday, April 23th) on Pearson Vue called
    1z1-006 Oracle Database Foundations?
Is this an OCA, OCP, OCE, or OCS?
    Is this exam for teaching?
    Is this exam for design.
    Help me
    Roger

I guess exam content is speculation (unless insider knowledge is available ... in which case an NDA would be in force) until Oracle publishes some information, and perhaps until we can see the exam topics.
In essence Pearson Vue knows nothing about how exams link to form certifications, however it's website  can sometimes get exam scheduling updates a little before they arrive on the oracle website.
Any information from Oracle is likely to appear here: New and Upcoming Releases
... or if/when this link becomes active: Exam 1Z0-106 (NB: wrong link ... Matthew has a good link above)
.... And I guess an Oracle Certification blog entry too will be likely.
.... Various people have on this forum commented on the downsides of 1z0-051/1z0-061 as an entry point into Oracle RDBMS Database with 'SQL' rather than 'RDBMS' being the focus point.  ( IMHO These exams do a good job of examining Oracle SQL .... ).
If non database (Oracle Enterprise) specific if would also be applicable to MySQL, RDB, .... etc).
It will be interesting to see how and where Oracle views where this exam will sit, who its target candidates are and what certification(s) it will participate in ..... I Codd you not  !
Added 03may2015: Realised some glaring deficiencies in this post by getting the code mixed up between 1z0-106/1z0-006 .... any that Matthew had gvien the correct link earlier!  I have only just pulled my head out of the bucket.

  • No networking topics in either associate or professional exam?

Hi. Having passed the OCA I am preparing for the professional exam, and am curious as to the apparent absence of java.net topics... I am not surprised to see JDBC, higher-level design issues, more on generics and collections, concurrency, localization, etc. -- but shouldn't somewhere along the way you have to demonstrate that you know a socket from a sock drawer? Or is that left entirely to a different certification?
    P.S. This is fun.

...that you know a socket from a sock drawer? Wait. There's a difference?
Or is that left entirely to a different certification?I'm a PL/SQL programmer by trade. I can stumble through Java code in a pinch, but it's definitely not my language of choice. My answer therefore is more through the lens of my experience with Oracle certifications than with the language itself.
The Java certifications were inherited, of course, when Oracle bought out Sun. My understanding is that the tests that existed at the time of the buyout were pulled over unchanged by OE. If OE follows the pattern of their other exams, then updates of the tests for newer editions of Java would draw extremely heavily on the topics of earlier versions, dropping any obsolete data and adding in topics for new features/capabilities. Put another way, if Sun didn't have networking topics, OE would be unlikely to add them.

  • Should i retake the exam?

    Hello,
I wanna take the exam online, named Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I. I see that passing score is 60%, but subject to change (may be changed in the future, even if on the same exam). I wanna ask, if i pass the exam with my score 60%, and for this exam the passing score will be changed (to 70% let's say), i need to retake the exam again, to obtain 70%? Or once the exam is taken, i need not to take it again.
    Thanks!

Additionally, exams are updated regularly and a passing score may be changed based on updates to an exam.
If you receive your score report with a passing score, and you score report shows that you passed, we will not take that 'pass' away from you.
The purpose of that statement on the website is to let candidates know that there is a slim possibiliyt that the passing score on the website may not be correct. If an exam has been updated and the passing score has changed, there may be a short period of time in which the new exam is live with the new passing score, but the passing score on the website has not been updated yet. We try very hard to keep these scores in sync, but every now and then they may be out of sync for a period of time.
In conclusion, if you take an exam and your score report shows that the passing score is 60% and your score report shows this as a 'pass' - if the passing score changes to 70% next week, we will not make you re-test on the updated exam.

  • Help for Final Cut Pro X training book.

    Hello everyone!
I've recently decided to study to get the Apple Certification for Final Cut Pro X level 1, so I bought the book "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro X" by Diana Weynand. Due to a mistake of mine, I bought the edition released on October 2011, knowing later that there is a 2012 version and a new one coming out in just a month.
I'd like to know if I can still handle the exam studying this book released on 2011, or if I necessarily need to get the latest version coming out sooon.
Thanks in advance for your help!
    - Alex

I understand. I don't feel like waiting so much time, so I need to choose.
1 - Start studying my old 2011 book since I have it here, and see if I can make it before the exam is updated (I have no idea how much time it'll take me to study the entire book though, even if I study everyday).
2 - Buy the Motion 5 book and get that certification while waiting for the new FCPX book to come out.
3 - Just waiting for the new FCPX book (which means wasting time waiting).
Thanks for your answers and patience.

  • 1z0-052 & 053 based on 11g or 11gR2

    Hi guys,
I am preparing the exams 052 & 053 now. I heard that these two exams are updated to 11gR2. So I want to check this information here. If it is updated to R2, where can I get new materials; if not, when will it be updated?
    Thanks

At the moment, I have three books in my hand.

Oracle Press - OCA Oracle Database 11g Administration II Exam Guide 1Z0-053
McGraw.Hill.Oracle.Database.11g.DBA.Handbook.Dec.2007In essence these should be perfectly acceptable for the exam topics.
When the exam is validated against 11gR2 it is essentaily a check that the exam answers have not changed by any changes with 11gR2.
However one should always check the exam topics covered by these books have not changed by checking agsinst the topics on the exam web page ... remember these books are often prepared when the exam is in beta and it is unlikely there is an update with the production release.
I believe the mid-life update of the 1z0-042/3 exams for 10gR2 from 10gR1 were slightly more eextensive, however agin the important thing was to check out the exam topic changes. In essence the changes were more to track changes in Oracle Training courses that directly to do with changes in nthe Oracle Versions.
It is of course however useful to persue over the 'new and chaged features' of the 11gR2 release, it is a useful exercise for you to locate these yourself anyway.

    Hi Zafar,
As far as I know, there is no Treasury Certification in SAP for associate level.
    Please stay tuned with

The certification exams are updated from time to time.
However, I do not expect any certification on Treasury in near future.

  • I want to merge two mcp accounts.

As I said I want to merge two different MCP accounts, so that I can get my MCSA certificate.
Is it possible to do that. Because I have given 3 papers of MCSA and after that I have given 1 last paper of MCSA so that I can get my MCSA certificate. But accidently when I registered for the exam, my another new SR ID got created. And I have given exam
    on that new ID.
So, now I am not able to get my MCSA certificate in my old MCP account.
Please suggest something and Please HELP.

Recently, I was reading forums looking for solution for the same problem, not much helpful then my prometric center person guided me to contact Microsoft at "mcphelp at microsoft . com" who helped to consolidate my two MCP ids
in just two days, I delighted about the quick response. They also provided very detailed explaination why two ids got created and what causion you should take going forward. Here is part of the email response.
A duplicate profile was created for you because a different email address was used when you took your last exam.
When registering for exams in the future, please use the information (name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number) as it appears on your current MCP profile. This would ensure that the exams get updated under your existing profile.
Hopefully this information would be useful for others in similar need.

  • Study books

I own the book OCA—Oracle 10g Administration I Study Guide (Exam 1Z0-042) I understand that this exam has been changed and broken up into two parts. I bought the book before when there was only one exam to obtain OCA certification, but never obtained the certification. Now I would actually like to try and obtain this certification. Will this book still be enough to study for these two new exams or should I look for new study material?

... the book ...There is more than one such book
... I understand that this exam has been changed ...Yes - there have been changes since books OraclePress/Sybex were printed
However if you look at the topics there is probably only a 10%-20% change from the book(s) ... it essentially was when exam was updated from 10gR1 to 10gR2 standard. I think there were more topics taken out than put in.
The trick is to exam the current exam topics and note the differences .... You may (or may not) find some are covered in the 1z0-043 from the same series or in 1z0-052 preparation material.
From memory in fact there may be a liittle less in the exam than previously, though there may (or may not) be a little on flashback. Compare your book with current exams topics.
There is always the manuals to look at.

  • The Case for an Updated SQL Expert Exam

There have been a couple of discussions in this space about the shortcomings of the current SQL Expert exam.  I decided to write something of an open letter to OU about the concept of creating an updated version for the 12c release of Oracle:
The Case for an Updated Oracle SQL Expert Exam - Certification Magazine
So what do you think -- what advanced SQL topics did I miss that would make a good topic for an improved version of the exam?

That does touch on a fundamental issue of certification: Does it realistically reflect work capability?  Many people over the years have just stated a categorical "no."  I wouldn't go that far, but I would say that for any particular job, it takes weeks or months to really evaluate them.  Some people when saying how they interview candidates state they would reject anyone who would just go google something new (I think that is a silly way to judge and am glad to see you google too IRL).  I know with analytics, I use them so rarely I have to basically re-learn them each time.  But there's nothing wrong with that, and subsequent "re-learns" are more rapid, and asktom (among others) is invaluable.  I would do the same thing for an exam - learn them long enough to pass the exam.  There's just too large of a knowledge space to make details of sql syntax a deal-breaker.  If you are using something every day, you remember the details.  The logical problem is assuming because someone is not using it every day now they haven't in the past or won't in the future.
In the past I've mentioned I think the value of certification for me lies in exposure to things I don't use.  A problem that goes along with that is if you don't use it soon after learning it, you might well have not learned it.  There are some courses I've taken that could be described as drinking the kool-aid - features that Oracle pushes that don't apply as generally as marketing or the developers of seed databases would like us to believe.  You never know what new features will be used and how and when.  Oracle doesn't always know, for that matter.
