Exam retake policy

If I didn't pass in a Microsft exam, like 070-450, how long time I need to wait for re-take the exam?

It's a shame the Microsoft website doesn't provide very much information on this topic. Here's what the Prometric site states:

Microsoft Exam Retake Policy
If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time,
the candidate must wait at least a 24-hour period before retaking the exam.
If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the
candidate must wait at least a 14-day period before retaking the exam a third
time.
A 14-day waiting period will also be imposed for the fourth and fifth
subsequent exam retakes. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than
five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period would start the day of the
fifth unsuccessful exam retake. The candidate would then be eligible to retake
the exam 12 months from that date. In order to take a given exam more than five
times per year, a candidate must submit a request and obtain prior permission
from Microsoft.
If a candidate achieves a passing score on an exam, the candidate cannot
take it again.
Beta exams may be taken only once. This policy supersedes the general retake
policy.
In some cases, Microsoft may have special policies for specific exams.

Cisco Retake Policy confusion

Dear All,
I appeared for CIPT 2 exam on 13th of May 2009, but i failed the exam. I retake the exam for free and again i failed the exam. My confusion is that should i have to pay the examination fee again for the same exam or i can appear in the exam again for free.
And can anyone tell me how long this policy is valid for.

As far as I know you must pay for it each time you take an exam, pass or fail.

Exam fees are the same wheter it is your first attempt or a subsequent attempt.

Obviously I'd try to look at what went wrong:
I'd take into consideration:
- How much value the exam is to me:
- What I think I would have to do to make a pass next time more certain
- The cost of a retake
- My perceived risk of failing again
For me I can book at exam fairly easily so I wait until I think I have an 85% chance of passing prior to booking the exam.
I tend to book only a few days before hand, but I obviously risk not getting an exam time when I want it (can happen more with long beta exams).
You may have a reason to buy a voucher because of a dis-count from a training institution.
If that is the case you need to weigh the dis-count against the cost of tying up your money and possible waste if you dont take the exam again.

CLAD Exam retake after 1st attempt

If CLAD Exam failed at first attempt, when we can take next CLAD exam(one week or two weeks or three weeks)??

It may be because of the available slot or they might have changed it now. One most likely case is that they change the questions every 15 days or something like that.

Failed SP certification 3 times:Retake Policy

I gave SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 3 times (Did not get certified)
Attended Classroom training from an SAP authorized Training Partner.
(I lost access to E Learning as my exams got delayed beyond 6 months.Had to give the exams without access to them through had some net based material)
Now I want to join another SAP Authorized Training partner (and do E learning) and give the exams.
SAP says one cannot give the exam for the same version after giving the exams 3 times but can one give exams after undergoing training again with a SAP Authorized Partner.I have told them that I have given it 3 times earlier.
Is there a newer version available.

If you have lots of money, then go and join with another autorised training partner, but it will be the same old story, you will see.
Talk to SAP Singapore, Dubai or Malaysia, probably you do not need to have any pre-requisites.

I just wanted to clarify a point for you. You may NOT reuse a voucher. A discount voucher is for 1-time use. So, you can use it for your first exam attempt, but you will need to pay in full for your 2nd exam attempt.
I also want to remind you of our retake policy.
- Candidates must wait 14 days before retaking a failed exam.
- Candidates may retake an online non-proctored exam at any time.
- Candidates may not retake a passed exam at any time.
- Candidates may not retake a beta exam at any time.
The retake policy was put in place to protect the integrity of the Oracle Certification Program exam content and allow the candidate additional time to prepare for a failed exam. Please note that violation of the retake policy in any way, including but not limited to, registering for and retaking an exam under a new Prometric ID within the 14-day waiting period, is against policy and will be treated as a violation of the Exam Retake Policy. If a candidate creates a new ID in order to retake the exam within the 14-day waiting period, the results of the retaken exam will be invalidated. No refunds or credit will be provided by Oracle or any of its partners.

Error occurred during certification exam

Hello,
can please someone give me an advice about my problem.
At a Pearson Vue test center, I've experienced an error during my certification exam as a result of connectivity problem at the test center.
After that I was not able to continue my exam, administrator at the test center didn't know how to handle that.
They tried to restart the computer, to continue test on another computer but nothing helped.
Test center reported an incident report to Pearson Vue, promising that someone from Vue will contact me within next 48 hours, till now passed 40 hours but no one has contacted me yet. They didn't want to forward me the email they wrote to Vue saying that it is a confidential e-mail.
Because of that I cannot do anything on my own because I don't have access to the reported problem mail, and I cannot reference to it directly to Vue.
A person at a test center called me yesterday informing me that it is confirmed that a technical error has occurred during my exam but they didn't offer any solution, I just have to wait for Vue to contact me.
I have another problem because my voucher expires for a few days, and within these days, because of my prescheduled business commitments and obligations I'm not able to write another test. I am able to do it only after certification expire day.
At the test center they say that they are not responsible for the error, and that I'll be able to retake another test with the expired voucher if and only if Vue will allow that. As they say, all I can do now is wait for a miracle to happen. :(
Do you think test center is responsible for the error? And do I have any rights to ask for a new voucher if Vue in some case will not allow me to retake the test again with the same voucher.
I'm really desperate, I cannot believe that a test center is not responsible for the error that happened in their institution.
Is this error Pearson Vue's responsibility or Test center's responsibility?
I've read on the forums that I should ask for refund/exam retake vouchers.. but should I as that directly Vue or Testing center where the error has occured?
Please give me an advice on how can I handle and what can I do to solve the problem.

Actually this does not work as the Test Center's server has survived ... the problem is when that goes up in smoke.

So try to think when the next convenient time is it for you to take the test (even should it have to be outside the voucher time).
Also consider if there is another test center within reasonable distance to yourself that may be able to give you your test earlier.
There has been sufficent issue / delay on this to IMHO also raise an Oracle Certification SR request.

Be sure to mention the Pearson VUE incident number in the full description and choose OCP Exam Issue Type : "Exam/Test Center Problems"
Note the SR number. Brandye may be interested, the certification team interested to ensure how Pearson VUE handle exam problems from a candidate viewpoint so service improvements/procedure advice changes can be made if necessary, so I would post the SR number back here (as well as repeating the incident number).
... Should Pearson VUE resolve your problem be sure to update the SR (I think this means raising a new one but referencing the old SR number saying your problem has been resolved).
We are now into the Easter Public Holiday period in many countries and support wil probably therefore be very limited.
