Can anyone help? I am getting an error in my sql statement below:

    INTO TABLE2
    FROM TABLE AS E1

What's the point behind creating a table to store the results in?

What's the point behind creating a table to store the results in?What I am trying to do is copy the data in TABLE to TABLE2 but with the data in E1.COL3 swapped with the one in E2.COL3 based on certain conditions.
Basically I am just trying to swap the values of a column (COL3) and store it in my new table (TABLE2) together with all the (unswapped) values from all the other columns.
    Ex.
    TABLE
    COL1 COL2 COL3 COL4
    1 1 1 1
    2 2 3 2
    3 3 2 2
    4 4 4 1
    Target result:
    TABLE2
    COL1 COL2 COL3 COL4
    1 1 1 1
    2 2 2 2 <-swapped values
    3 3 3 2 <-in COL3
    4 4 4 1

  • Proxy creation/ access key in the how to guide "push data into BW from XI"

    Hi !
I'm experiencing troubles with a step of the how to guide "push Data into BW from XI".
When i want to create the proxy in the BW system (step 10), i'm asked for an access key for the object R3TR CLAS CL_<name of the prefix>_<name of message interface>
I think that access keys are needed when an object has to be modified. Do I really have to modify this SAP object ? I don't really feel like destroying the whole system...
    Thanks in advance !

    Hi Benjamin,
you are not destroying anything in the system. Since you generating a class for the implementation of the proxy within the SAP name space, you are asked for the access key (you can register developers and objects via the OSS).
The system behavior depends on the setting of the system, whether changes are are recorded, etc..
Ask your basis administrator, who should be able to assist you.
       Cheers

  • How to bulk import data into CQ5 from MySQL and file system

Is there an easy way to bulk import data into CQ5 from MySQL and file system?  Some of the files are ~50MB each (instrument files).  There are a total of ~1,500 records spread over about 5 tables.
    Thanks

What problem are you having writing it to a file?
You can't use FORALL to write the data out to a file, you can only loop through the entries in the collection 1 by 1 and write them out to the file like that.
FORALL can only be used for SQL statements.

  • Insert Data into Table from TXT or CSV file !!!!!

    Dear All,
Recently I have started working on APEX. In Oracle Forms, we used to use TEXT_IO for inserting records into tables from txt files. Now I want to do the same thing in apex 3.2. How can I insert data into tables from txt of csv files.
    Waiting of your valuable suggestions.
    With kind regards,
    Yousuf.

    Yousuf
wwv_flow_files is used by APEX to hold uploaded files.
If you incorporate a file browse item on you page, browse for the selected file, then submit the page (having the PL/SQL process described as an on suibmit process) then what I detailed should work.
If you don't need users to have access to this then just go to Home>Utilities>Data Load/Unload in APEX and there is a handy load utility there that does it all for you.
    Cheers
    Ben

  • Can not extract data into BW from SQL SERVER

    Dear All,
I meet a problem to extract data from database(MS SQL Server 2000(sp3)) into BW now and can not extract data into BW ODS, even PSA, In the monitor, display yellow light(0 from 0 record), detail message just display message "data request arranged" "confirmed with: confirmation" in requests(message) step; "missing message: request received" in extract (message)  step; "no data" in processing(data packet) step and so on. but in fact, there are two records in my database test table and DB connection is OK. Even I can extract data from another test oracle database into BW ODS successfully.
Our BW system has two BW applicaton server and use oracle database. the one application server locates on IBM AIX host. the another one locates on one NT server. the application server on NT server is used for data extration from MS SQL SERVER  database into BW oracle database. and MS SQL SERVER and NT platform application server locate on same one host. DBSL was installed on the NT application server already. and DB connector also was created successfully for MS SQL SERVER and datasource also was generated. DBSL type is Kernel640-WIN-IA32bit-unicode. my BW system is ECC5.0/UNICODE/ORACLE. all table/view/field name of MS SQL server is upcase and have not any specific character. for example: ZDEMO etc.

  • Insert data into table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0)

I want to insert data into a database table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0).
    1. I have a table 'FRIENDS', (in Oracle 10g database).
    2. It has two columns, 'NAME' and 'CITY'. Both have datatype strings(varchar2).
    3. Now from a JSP page, having two textfields, 'NAME' and 'CITY', I want to insert data into table 'FRIENDS'.
    4. In between JSP and database is a Entity Bean(EJB 3.0) and a stateless session bean.
    5. I am using JDev as editor.
Please provide me code ASAP or link with similar example.
    Thank you.
    Anurag

    Hi,
I am also trying that scenario. So u can
Post the jsp form data to a Servlet which will act as a Controller.
In the servlet invoke the business method.
Similar kind of app is in www.roseindia.net
    Hope this would help u.
Meanwhile if u get any optimal solution, pls post it.
    Thanks,
    Happy Java Coding.

  • Export data into Excel from PL/SQL Block

    Hi,
Please tell me how to export data into excel comming out from PL/SQL code in APEX.
We can simply export data into excel if we have Report region, but my query is dynamic for which i had to use PL/SQL block. Now i want to export that data into excel.

  • Need Logic for Inserting data into table from another table

    Hi,
Could you please give me some logic on below:
    TABLE_A has columns A,B,C,D
    What i did
    ==========
    Created new table
    TABLE_1_A with columns A1,A2,B1,B2,B3
    Requirement
    ===========
I should populate columns A1,A2 (table TABLE_1_A) with the data from column A (table TABLE_A)
& simillarly populate columns B1,B2 with the data from B.
the data is huge in the table_a.
    Database: 10g
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Here's one way:
    INSERT INTO  table_1_a
            (a1, a2, b1, b2)
    SELECT      a,  a,  b,  b
    FROM      table_a
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
If you're asking about a DML statement, such as INSERT, the sample data will be the contents of the table before the DML, and the results will be state of the changed table(s) when everything is finished.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.

  • Import data into Numbers from web?

Is there a way to import data from the internet directly into Numbers without programming/writing an applescript or using a different program?
Can you do this while using only Numbers and the web?

And how is Numbers to know how to extract the exact data you want from an external source, unless that source is in a format familiar to Numbers, which HTML isn't? For an automated process like this, you will need scripting, and that means learning to program/understand scripts.
For example, here's some HTML code from a web page that includes volume data for one symbol:
    <td class="mbi_left" align="left" width="35%">BM&FBOVESPA SA</td><td align="right" width="10%">12.37</td><td align="right" width="10%">0.22</td><td align="right" width="10%">1.81</td><td align="right" width="20%">11,611,700</td><td align="right" width="15%">09/18</td>
Numbers can't interpret this without being told exactly what to extract. Also, Numbers doesn't go out to the web on its own at fixed intervals (as I suspect you may want) without a program telling it what to do. This is just a spreadsheet after all.

  • Feeding dynamic data into formula is causing slow execution and weird results

I am gathering 11 channels of analog input voltage, then performing a series of (different, editable) calculations on each channel of voltage to convert each to sensor temperature.
My first stage of calculations (using multiply, subtract, and divide blocks) works fine.
My second stage of calculations (which includes a natural log "ln") is being performed with the formula block. However, the formula block has three red arrows where the input constants are, and the results of the formula block are intermittent and incorrect (if plotted, the plot just flashes what looks like a value of 1 intermittently... if saved to a csv file, the results show a bunch of zeros and then a row of values, then more zeroes).
I'm not sure if I need to be converting my dynamic data to an array before feeding into the formula, or if there's some other way applying a complex formula to dynamic data, or...? I'd like to stick with dynamic data because it makes plotting things easier, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Converting from a waveform to a double array makes you lose time information.
Index Array can be expanded to index out as many items as you need.

  • How to import data into TimesTen from Oracle

I want to import data from Oracle into TimesTen,but not found tools provided by TimesTen. I hope TimesTen may convert Oracle's dump file(exp).
    thanks for your suggest.

TimesTen cannot read Oracle's data pump export files.
If you are using Cache Groups to cache Oracle tables into TimesTen, then the LOAD CACHE GROUP statement will automatically load the data from Oracle into TimesTen for you.
If you are using TimesTen as a standalone database, then you can SPOOL out the Oracle table data into text files, and use them as data files to feed the TimesTen ttbulkcp command line utility. ttbulkcp is similar to SQL*Loader except it handles both import and export of data.
For example, the following command dumps the contents of the table foo from a TimesTen database mydb into a file called foo.dump.
    ttbulkcp -o dsn=mydb foo foo.dump
The file foo.dump will give you an example of what the default ttbulkcp dump file format looks like. You can then generate a new dump file based on the above, but populate it using the data from Oracle.
The following command loads the rows listed in file foo.dump into a table called foo in database mydb, placing any error messages into the log file foo.err.
    ttbulkcp -i -e foo.err dsn=mydb foo foo.dump
For more information on the ttbulkcp utility you can refer to the Oracle TimesTen API Reference Guide.
You can also use SQL Developer to export data from Oracle table into ttbulkcp file format, via the Export Data option. Please note that this option is meant for small tables say with a few thousand rows, exporting large tables can be slow in SQL Developer and could require a lot of client side memory.

  • How can i insert data into DB from my page programatically in Oracle ADF..?

    Hai, this is praveen.
I have created  an EO and VO, when i have inserted data by dragging and dropping from DataControl -->Operations-->Create. I have successfully inserting data. But how can i do it programatically. What are the pre-defined steps that i can use over there to insert data into table programatically. Could u plz help me?

    Hi,
You have to create an action Listener in the bean for any button.
    Then call an AM method.
In that you have to do the following
    ViewObject yourVO = getYourVO();
    Row r = yourVo.createRow();
r.setAttribute("Column1", value1); //the name of column should be as it is in your vo attribute.
    yourVO.insertRow(r);
    this.getDbTransaction().commit();
    Thanks
