Example Player no display

I am new to this. Down loaded latest OSMF ver, 2.0.2494
Set up environment and successfully built it.
StrobeMediaPlayback works great.
When I build a DynamicStreamSample or ExamplePlayer it works great on Windows 7 platfrom.
On Linux and Mac - I hear audio but no video
Please help.

I understand that when you power on your notebook you get a blank or black screen with no error messages but the Caps Lock blinks.

I'm really sorry, but as all the office is trying to fix the problem, someone replaced the url content with the stuff that was pointing to the local machine.
I've fix it, and the video player is available here again: http://pp.player.webtv.flumotion.com/params/apiKey/5PzLR2ULL3z2rumJ/videoId/60
If there are other references to the localhost, please do not bother with them, as they do not affect player functionality.
The stream that it uses is an RTMPE, so i'm afraid it will only works with this player. Anyway, the stream url is as follows: rtmpe://87.248.205.81/a4349/e2/veo7/ondemandrtmpe/mp4/med/first-person-mario-4d8741aa.mp4

What will happen if I modify the reconnect Code in the OSMF Netloader Class as recommended and then load multiple third party OSMF plugins,
which may have included the origin OSMF version of the Netloader class.
Which one will be used at runtime?

DVD Player just displays static

Well, it's kind of hard to explain, but here is a screenshot of what DVD Player can look like when I try to play a movie: http://showmac.com/dvdstatic.jpg
It seems to display random bits and parts from other on-screen gui elements. Like windows and menu bars. Sometimes it's just garbage, like in the screenshot. Other times one can clearly see iChat buddylists and such, sticking by in the DVD window.
Once the "static" is in place, the "timer" will keep progressing, as if it was playing the movie. No picture though. And no sound, or fragments of sound with quite a few seconds delay.
On top of all this, DVD Player seems to hog 110% of the CPU while doing this "nothing". Trying to stop the playback can take quite a few seconds. And attepting to open a tiny app like Preview.app would take 5 minutes (no kidding).
Weirdest thing is: VLC plays all movies fine. And the issues stay when playing DVD disk images or video_ts folders. So it can't be a faulty drive?
I have tried deleting the DVD Player prefs file, and the Application Support folder. Plus running the cron tasks. Any other suggestions? Running 10.4.3.

I've 1.25 GB RAM and right now about 1 GB free disk space (on boot drive). I've had about 8 GB free at the most, still with problems.
I disabled the following 3rd-party widgets: Hula Girl (http://www.johnwilliams713.com/hula/), Flidget (http://zooibaai.nl/archives/2005/05/01/of-design-mac-and-flickr) and Widget Television VF2 (I see VF3 is out now) (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/19539)
I then inserted the Madagascar DVD I got today. And it actually plays! No idea if it was releated to the fact I disabled the mentioned widgets. I'm also running the PB hooked up to a TV now, over the usual Dell display.
When I get back home to my collection I will investigate further. I wouldn't hold my breath, but it sure would be nice if the problem was solved.

Flash Player not displaying images on some PCs

Hi,
Flash has suddenly stoppped displaying images properly but only on some platforms ( seen in both IE and Chrome!).
Go to www.mdof.com.au and see rollover gallery at right.
On some Windows platforms only the bottom few mm of the image is visible in both IE and Chrome (see image below).
the chair image should be displayed but you can only see the bottom few rows of the image (see arrow)
This has only just started happening and is only apparent on some computers but is presene in all browsers ??????
Any suggestions ???????

MP3 flash player not displaying in IE

Hi all, I'm pretty new to flash and I'm unsure why this mp3 player isn't displaying on IE. It works fine on Firefox. I didn't originally create this, but am working on it after it was built. The code looks somewhat old and different to me, so I'm not sure if that's the reason it's breaking in IE. Usually when I see code for flash I see an <embed> tag. The code goes like this:

Flash Player not displaying control bar: pause, stop, full screen, etc

Controls are in the "interface" embedded into the pages containing the Flash content. Flash Player doesn't "create them". It displays them based on the code received from the page. If there's a problem with the page code, or the browser isn't reading the code properly, the controls may not display.
Basically, you can't fix the web page from the player.
Does this happen with ANY videos or just certain sites or a specific saite?

Ovi Player only displays .mp3 files on my N97

Hi all,
I'm having problems with Ovi Player. First it caused severe problems with my music library app on the phone, which wasn't able to read any files from the file system. I managed to fix this by formatting the whole mass storage.
Later, after importing music files from PC to N97, Ovi Player doesn't display any.m4a files (which I ripped from original CDs using the very same application!), only .mp3 ones. Any ideas on possible causes and solutions?

Hide iPhone native player or display window over it

Hi,
I am developing a mobile webpage which contains a HTML5 video.When playing this HTML5 video on iPhone, then the iPhone's native playe will be opened in fullscreen mode. I have to either hide this nativeplayer or display a window over this native player. Is it possible on iPhone browser?

On a dual-monitor setup, double clicking the preview in the Scopes window will make the preview full screen. However, as it has been mentioned many times before here, it is wise to use a proper external monitor when judging picture quality.

Flash Player not displaying text/fonts

My operating system is Mac OS X 10.6.7, Snow Leopard, 2.5 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. My main browser is Firefox 4.0. I recently upgraded my Adobe Flash Player to the latest version available.
My problem is that the flash player is not properly displaying fonts or text, not only in my broswer but in emails. I have repaired my disk permissions, repaired my disk, uninstalled adobe flash player and reinstalled in, updated my software including the Java Script. I am at a lost as to what the problem is. I am including a snapshot of what I see with this error below:

Flash Player not displaying menu options on Windows 7 computer

I am having problems with two of the websites running Flash Player -- esthergrayphotography.com and frascoimages.com
Both of these websites worked fine on my old Windows XP computers. I recently bought a new Gateway computer (Gateway FX6860-UR20P desktop) with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.
When I opened these websites on my old computers, they had user selectable menu options at the bottom of the page. On the new Windows 7 computer, none of these user selectable options appear, although if you run the mouse over where they should be, the mouse pointer will turn to a hand and you can click there and the option will open.
I have tried everything that I can think of but have been unsuccessful in getting the new Windows 7 computer to show these user selectable options. I have tried to uninstall and re-install Adobe Flash Player (both the 32 bit version and the beta 64 bit version). I have tried Internet Explorer (both 64 and 32 bit versions), Firefox and Google Chrome.
For your information, the new computer has the following hardware / software:
Intel Core i7-2600 3.4 GHz
8 GB DDR3
1.3TB HDD
ATI Radeon HD6750
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on how to get the user selectable menu items to display properly? Thanks.

1. Internet Explorer> Tools (or Alt + t)>Internet Options>Programs>Manage add-ons (Show: All add-ons) verify that the Shockwave Flash Objects are enabled.
2. From Safety on the IE Command Bar (you may have to right-click the IE menu or IE toolbar and enable the Command Bar) uncheck ActiveX Filtering.
If that helps, it would be safer to re-enable ActiveX Filtering and make an exception for the affected sites. See this article:

Installed Flash Player version displays "x"

I managed to download the 9.0.124.0 version and still can't
watch my videos. However, when I go into control
panel>add/remove programs, the Flash icon displays a red "x" in
the upper right corner. What does that mean?

the link to it is on Troubleshooting Adobe Flash Player for Intel-based Macs, which may be useful too.
the files for FlashPlayer plugin should be in HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/.
if you look in hd/Users/Your-user-name/Library/internet plug-ins/ ; are there any flash files there? If so, try moving them to the desktop after quitting the browsers & try again.
If you could post the crash report for Safari, that may help us help you....

Flash Player wont display as it should

Hi, first time post, hope I make this clear and I'm not repeating anything posted elsewhere!
specify your operating system - 32bit Windows XP
specify your web browser and version - 32bit IE8
specify your Flash Player version - WIN 10,1,85,3
I'm having trouble viewing Flash Video's online. They play OK my problem is with the display. The screen is zoomed in slightly and will not allow me to "Show All" or go full screen. As the screen is zoomed in I can not access navigational buttons / volume etc at the bottom or top of said video.
When I right click I can access the settings but none of this affects the display. I have tried Uninstalling but re-installation just brings the same issue.
Any comments would be gratefully received.

Flash Player Not Displayed

As a base to run off:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Intel Pentium
HP G60
Scanned for viruses, clean (Combofix, Gmer, Housecall, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, unhackme, tdss killer, NPE, HijackThis)
Disabled Norton Antivirus (Temporarily) to see if it was a confliction
Only happens in IE (8 & 9, tried both) but Chrome and Firefox work fine so I'm thinking it must be in the IE plugin or IE itself
I've removed both flash and java and all other Adobe products and reinstalling, didn't work. Removed all using the corresponding removal tools for adobe and java products then reinstalled, didn't work.
I've also tried resetting IE completely and removing user customizations, didn't work. Reset security levels to default, worked once but then wouldn't display again and security levels were at default.
I am up to date on flash, java, reader, and Windows so I don't believe updating is going to do anything since I am on the latest update.
Please let me know if I left anything out, I tried to leave as much detail as I could.

My flash player doesnt display text

so every time i goto youtube.com or listen.grooveshark.com, theres text it the flash player thats suppost to show up, for like the names of videos or music. but its not there any reason why, and how do i fix it...?
i use google chrome but i've found it doesn't involve browser b/c safari and firefox dont work as well

Make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe's Flash Player.
