EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV), app closes after delegating an open window

I'm getting this freaky error/crash message when I close a window in my application. For some reason, when ever I add images to my applications (That run on Mac OS X 10.6), I always get a EXCBADACCESS after I open and close a window. Here's the entire crash report http://tinyurl.com/errorcrash

- Resetting the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Download/install a new app
- Restore from backup
- Retore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Firefox asks (twice) to save and close tabs, on new open windows without tabs, when i close them.

About one month ago, i started to receive a message box from firefox, asking if i wanted to save and close tabs, on newly open windows (and pop-ups) without any tabs open on them.
And everytime i close the windows without tabs, firefox asks it twice...
I did not made any changes, so i don't know why it started doing this.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

App close after writing in apple id?!

When i open some apps on my ipad , like need for speed and real racing 2 they ask for my apple id and i write it in , i did everything right , checked my apple id if it was right and it was , but after 2 seconds the app close and take me back to the homescreen ?! What to do ?

1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo.

Maill App Closes After a Few Seconds

My mail app on my new iPad closes automatically after about 5 seconds. Any advice?

Can you send mail from your ipod?
Did you try to switch your account off and on again?
I even had to delete and setup my account again when my mail stopped connecting to my mailserver.
After that it worked fine again.

I am having trouble sharing photos through iPhoto. It seems to crash when ever I try to share via email, facebook etc.
I also have an issue when opening the app, it says there is an upgrade, when I select yes, it then tells me there are in consistancies and begins to rebuild the library before opening.

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?

IPhone apps close before they even open.

When I was on iTunes I did a system update and now all my downloaded apps won't open.

Have you tried a reset?

Updated with most recent update now my apps close imediately when i open them, anyone know what to do?

Yes, I purchased the upgrade through the apple website, downloaded successfully. When I clicked on the iphoto icon, that's when I got the prompt that said I needed to prepare my library using the library upgrader. I got this from apple website as well. It downloaded, then appeared on my desktop screen as a 'library upgrader' I don't know what to do next? When I click it, it just keeps repeating the download process.

App crashes when trying to open window

Hi guys.
At the moment, my Cocoa Mac application is set to terminate when the last window is closed. I want to run a confirmation alert when the app is about to quit using the following code;

The trouble is, when I call [mainWindow makeKeyAndOrderFront:nil] the app will crash, before reaching the NSTerminateCancel.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening? The mainWindow is still loaded into the memory, and has not been de-allocated.

CS4 apps are VERY slow to open Windows file browser with File Open or File Save As commands

We are running CS4 on Windows 7 with all available updates installed. Photoshop and the other CS4 applications are VERY slow to open a Windows file browsing window to select files when File Open or File Save As menu options are run -- it can take as long as a minute or two for the window to open. Once the window opens and a file is selected, then opening or saving the file is very quick. The location of the default directory, whether it is on a local drive or a network drive, makes no difference. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2501584. I discovered in my network that the MS Office File Validation Patch made excel crawl when opening over the network though nothing else changed. At the time I was opening Excel on Office 2003.
You can manually turn this off by editing the registry and tunring it off. Going forward I skipped the patch to keep my sanity. Not sure if this is the same as your issue, but the support article will go into detail how to either have Fix it
clear the issue or change the proper registry keys.

You may install software on up to two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or one each.
If you install on a third computer, it will request you to de-activate on the other two computers. You can then reactivate one of the previous two computers, and use Creative Cloud apps on it.
If you regularly need to use the Creative Cloud on more than two computers then it would be best to purchase an additional subscription. This is the same licensing btw which we have for our prepetual product. An advantage though for Creative Cloud over the prepetural product is that you can install on Mac and Windows with the same subscription!

It sounds like you are having some unexpected behavior from this app you got from the app store.
I would recommend the troubleshooting in this article named:

1. Update your device software
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
2. Check for app updates
You can setup apps to update automatically in Settings > iTunes & App Store, but make sure that your apps are up to date:
Open the App Store and tap Updates. If updates are available, tap Update All.
If prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information. App Store will then download and install the app updates.
Note: Some apps may require a Wi-Fi connection to update.
3. Install another app from the App Store
If none of your user-installed apps will launch, there could be an issue with Apple ID authorization. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information. You can also remove an app from your iOS device and download it again from the App Store or sync the app from your computer.Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.
4. Restart the app
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app.
5. Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
6. Reinstall the affected app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:

Mac's do a pretty good job of keeping themselves tidy and not clogging up with masses of redundant files, so the use of cleanup utilities tends to be unecessary - - - and can cause more problems than it solves!
The apps that no longer appear in Launchpad - are they still in your Applications folder accessed through Finder? If so, try launching them from there and see if they reappear in Launchpad.
As for non-displayed emails, Clean My Mac may have wiped them. But try this - back up any important files, then select a folder in Mail (say, inbox), click Mailbox in top menu, then click rebuild (the last option on that menu). If they do not reappear, then you could try accessing them from your mail/internet provider providing you have opted to keep messages on server.
As a last resort, you could try restore from Time Machine - you do keep a backup don't you?

Close all open windows

Is there any way to close all open windows at once? I cannot find any way to do so. Any keyboard shortcut?

Your response led me to the answer I was looking for. However, I found it worked better to press command and option , then click the red close button on the top line of the top window. This closed all open windows within the application of the open window. I had to do the same thing for each application. In my test case, I opened about 10 word processor windows and 10 email windows, all at the same time. I had to do the command-option - click red button twice, once for my email application, and once for the word processor application. It took me about 2 seconds to close all of the open windows.
