Excel Add-In: How to show data in thousands

I know that in order to show Essbase data rounded to the thousands I can do the following in the custom menu from the format options:_(* #,###.0,_);_(* (#,###.0,);_(* "-"??_);_(@_)The problem is this custom format is only stored in the spreadsheet that I formatted. I have to call up this spreadsheet every time I want to reformat a spreadsheet in a new workbook with this option - or I need to memorize it.Is there a better way?Thank you,Lisa

There are a couple of ways to do it in Excel - you could create macros that would set the formatting, which would make it easy to turn the format on or off.You could have Essbase do the rounding for you - if you need to have some specific values rounded, you could create new members. For example, Sales, and Sales (000s). EXCEL out put is not showing data

Hi All,
My report is working fine it is showing data in XML but it is not showing data in Excel output. Excel output is empty.
i have attached excel and xml files. please help me.
FYI: these are migrated reports from 10g to 11g.

Using ua.bat we upgraded 10g to 11g., we got sucessfully message.
after upgrade if i try to open excel it is not showing opening and showing action instead of excel name . I though excel out put has corrupted. i downloaded excel layout from 10g and uploaded in 11g report using upload layout.
we did not make any changes in database.
below one is not related to this one but .. after upgraded reports multi parametrs did not work if i select more than one column ( i opened as different topic) then i have removed
( (coalesce(null, :P_PPD_REGION) is null) and kept(region.X_REGION in (:P_PPD_REGION) from following statement then i did report is working with multi parameters.
my doubt is is it correct thing i did ? if not how can my multi parameter will work . we are using oracle as database.

You can create two value nodes for storing these collections. The first one would be singleton node as it is the main list. Under that create the second node with singleton = false.
e.g.

    --attrA2
    --NodeB(singleton = false)
            --attrB1
            --attrB2
Now populate collection of object A in NodeA and after adding element in NodeA populate respective elements in NodeB.

I have to show Date and Time with TimeZone abbreviation,
for example:
1) 31 March 2011 2:30 in india standard time - it should show in screen 31 March 2011 2:30 IST.
2) 31 March 2011 2:30 in Australia/New Zealand - Eastern time zone it should show in screen 31 March 2011 2:30 AEST.
how can i show *Australia/New Zealand - Eastern time zone to AEST*,
I tried with format DD MMM YYYY HH:MM zzz, and i looked time zone API too.

How to show date with format conforming to system date format ?

Hi all,
I write Java program running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
I want to show date in a status bar with the format the same as that in system date format where the program resides, so when I change the date format through the regional setting, I expect that the date format in the status bar will adjust accordingly.
But it seems that program fails to do so, the program keeps showing short date format MM/dd/yy. I've tried to use SimpleDateFormat.getDateInstance() method, but the result is the same.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

How to show data output in SSRS

Below is my simply query. I need to use Matrix SSRS format. I will put "Region" in "row" column, Header will use "Customer_Requested_Date" field, and will use "Amount" in the data session.
The data output in the "Header" field will show January.....until December (current month is December). In the Amount field under "December" (current month), I need to compute the formula like "Customer_Request_Month"
< = Current Month". (I do not have the field name called Current Month, need to get a Date/Time function to display Current Month).
How I can come up the data output under December Header field to show the current Amount in that section?

According to your descritption, you want to show the current month in your tablix. Right?
In Reporting Services, we can use the Now() and datepart() function to get the current month. Please use the expression below:
=Datepart("m",Now())
In this scenario, since you want to show the amount of current month within the column group, you need to create another dataset which always show the data of current month. Then you can use lookup() function to get the amount value from the current dataset
based on the Region. Please follow the steps below:
Create a same dataset(DataSet2) using your query. Add a filter on this dataset. Make Fields!Customer_request_Month.Value

Datepart("m",Now())
Then add a column inside of column group, using the expression below:
=lookup(Fields!Region.Value,Fields!Region.Value,Fields!Amount.Value,"DataSet2")

How to show data value labels in the charts without moving my mouse on the data point?

Sometimes I need to show a chart with data value labels which is not necessary to move my mouse on the data points. However, it seems Xcelsius does not support this simple feature. Any alternative ways?

Currently, Xcelsius does not support display of labels at data points. It would be difficult to move and update labels on a chart with dynamically updated data. However, a work around for a static chart would be to add a Label component in the desired location. This can be done for multiple static charts by using dynamic visibility.

How to show date besides time in the topmost space?

I am making a payroll application add-on for SAP Business One. I have made a form using screen painter and wanted to know how one goes about loading data from a database into the matrix columns.
My matrix has 6 columns and have called the items;

Struts Problem :: How to show data into Grid

hi to all..
I am having problem in Struts/EJB. I have to show all the data of a table into a grid(Table in jsp)
i.e. fire a query "select * from <table name >" and show the output into the respective table.
Earlier it works fine because the table contains minimum data(500-1K) and did not take too much time to load into grid but now the data in that table goes upto 80K-90K rows and it takes too much time to populate the table.
problem is How can I minimize the populating time of table ?
I want solution like fetch more rows option in DB2, but my problem is how to maintain previous data into session because every time its a new request and I don't want to keep my bean into a session.

I use *"fetch first n rows only"* clause in query; In DB2 Database there is no mysql database type functionality "*Select column1,column2 from table1 +Limit n,m+*" clause which is use to fetch rows exists between n and m.
mysql Limit clause didn't work in DB2. Here fetch first n rows only( where n starting from 0th row to the number specified) works but didn't get desirable results.
