Excel Add-in Warning message

Everytime I connect to Essbase via the Add-in I get the following warning:
"This version of Essbase (93000) is older than the version of the Essbase API (93100) you are using."
I know what the error means and also know that the versions are compatible, what I want to know is can I turn off the warning so I don't have to see it everytime I login?
Thanks

It should be noted the reason you get this message is because the version of the add in you are using is a different release than than the essbase server. This is not always a bad thing but warns because it could impact some functionality. Changing from warnings to errors will get rid of the message but will also get rid of other warning messages you might want.

  • Excel add-in warning

    Hi
I am using Excel- add in for unicode cubes. I am getting the warning
    Essbase Warning
The application chosen is a Unicode application, however the addin is not fully unicode enabled. As such, some characters may not display correctly. Do you wish to proceed?
I turned off warnings in the options dialog box. But i am still getting the above Essbase warning.
Can you suggest me what to do to turn off these warnings while using Excel-Addin?

where can I find the Thisworkbook module??^^^It's the workbook module in the currently open workbook. If you hit Alt-F11 in Excel, you'll get dumped into the VBA editor. If you do that, by default, over on the left you'll see a Project browser, under the Microsoft Excel Objects node, Sheet1 is the selected object. ThisWorkbook is the module name of the workbook object.
For giggles, in the VBA editor, type Ctrl+G. You should see the Immediate window. Then type:
    ?thisworkbook.name
You should see a response (in the case of a just-opened Excel with one workbook) like this:
    Book1
You can go to the event ThisWorkbook.Workbook_Open and stick code in there.
I personally would want to limit Application.DisplayAlerts and be sure to turn it back on when done. Changes to the Application object are global to life of the Excel instance.

  • Warning message on Excel while opening downloaded report

    Hello Everyone,
I have a BI query. I downloaded the data to Excel. When I downloaded the Excel, it displays mesasge 'Do you want to Open or Save this file' and Type is Microsoft Excel 97-2003. I saved on Desktop. When I try to open the downloaded file, it displays warning message 'The file you are trying to open is in a differnt format than specified by file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now? With Yes, No and Help buttons.
I looked at the Excel opions and changed the Save options to save the File in Excel 97-2003 worksheet. I am wondering why Excel displays this message and how to get rid of this message?
    Any help is much appreciated.

The export to excel downloads the file in XML format with a stylesheet to show the data as an excel file.
I have the same issue with broadcasting. we are broadcasting a query with excel output format and distribution mode of e-mail. If i access the e-mail from my outlook application I can open the file just fine. When I open it from the webmail client, i get the error you have described above. i am not sure why.
I will monitor this thread for a possible solution.

  • How to add warning message while using 'print' function in Adobe LiveCycle Designer

I am trying to make pdf document for my company which requires adding a warning message while anyone use 'print' function from the page...
Does anyone know how to add warning message on LiveCycle Designer
Also my supervisor mentioned something using 'nag' if that rings any bell

No you shoudl never go into the XML source unless uinstricted to do so.
You can open the script editor (under the window menu). It will appear above the drawing area but below the toolbars. You can resize it if there is not enough room. When you click on an object in the form you can choose an event to script against in the Show dropdown. In your case you will want to choose the prePrint event. A line will show up that indicates the object that is associated with the script as well as the event and other information. Add your script below this line. Once that is done you are finished and your form is ready for testing.

  • I'm having the same registry issues with my CDROM, getting the warning when iTunes starts up.  I've followed the article on how to add the upperFIlter to the registry and it solves the warning message but the DVD/CD writer disappears completely.

I'm having thet same registry issues with my CD-/DVD as is talked about in one of the fix articles I've found here. I added the UpperFilter entry to the registry since it was not there and restarted.  This fixes the warning message but then there's no CD/DVD device shown at all in windows.  I can put it back to normal and vice versa and get the same results, but I can't get this issue fixed. When I get the registry warning on starting iTunes, I can still rip from CDs and my DVD burner works just fine using other programs.
    Any more ideas?

This fixes the warning message but then there's no CD/DVD device shown at all in windows.
That symptom suggests the afs.sys issue ... but there's some other things that might cause it too.
We'd better check to see if we can find what's going on.
Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

  • What version of Essbase Excel add-in support 64 bit Windows 7 on our PC?

    1) Can anyone tell us what is latest version of 64 bit Essbase Excel-add-in 11.1.1.3.x and will this latest version of Essbase Excel add-in support 64 bit Windows 7 on our PC?
    2) we downloaded Essbase excel add-in 11.1.2 and was not able to connect to Essbase 11.1.1.3 server. It gave an error message - "This version is newer than the Essbase server." Is there a workaround? (we were hoping 11.1.2 would support 64 bit windows 7)
ps. There is a knowlegebase article that teaches us how to get Smartview 11.1.2 to connect to Essbase. We could not quite follow the badly written KB artible, but Ms. V from Oracle tech support claims she was able to connect and she wrote the article.
We did manage to get Smartview 11.1.2 to connect to Planning 11.1.1.3!!

    Thanks John and Jasmine.
    John,
I am able to connect using Essbase excel add-in 11.1.2 and see the list of Essbase server 11.1.1.3 app/databases. However when I tried to select one of the applications/databases, I get the Essbase warning "This version of Essbase 11.1.1.3) is older than the version of the Essbase API (11.1.2.0) you are using."
I get sent back to Essbase system Login screen and am asked to select a app/database. Add-in keeps giving me the above message - none of the 11.1.1.3 databases would allow me to connect.
I guess you guys did not experience this problem?

" Value if variable ZCCTRAT1 is automatically converted
I did go to TC RSRT as of Dinesh,Vijay advice ,Just want to know that what message i need to Click .because i could nt find the relevant message
Can u help me how to remove this ?

    Hi Manohar,
Edit to add: Here I assume you have a Web Application Designer (WAD) report.
You can suppress system and warning messages in WAD. Try this and see if it helps.
    - Go to your WAD report
    - In the top part of the properties window there is a drop down box. Open this box and select the top level entry there. This should be the name of your report.
    - Click Web Item
    - Check the following two checkboxes: "Do not Display System Messages" and "Do not Display Warnings".
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Petter

  • How to add an Alert Message

Hi, what steps must I take to add an alert message that reminds the Adobe Reader end user to Print their form if they wish to keep a record of their form data.
Also, where should such an alert appear, when and upon which event type?
    Harry

Thanks Jimmy, unfortunately it doesn't work on my Submit button (which is where I do want it).. Here's what I have on the standard Submit button.
    ----- form1.SF_P8.SF_print-submit.EmailSubmitButton::click - (JavaScript, client) ------------------
    xfa.messageBox("Please ensure you also print a copy for your records", Warning, 1, 1);
this makes my button do nothing at all, not even submit. I think it's because there are 2 events associated with it, the invisible "submit" and the new warning. Any suggestions?

  • Removing warning messages - PTMW

    Hi,
I must to restrict the message apperance for transaction PTMW. In PTMW, when managers click on Goto -> Process Process Messages, they should see only the error messages. I tried to use badi PT_BLP_USER, but without success. Can you tell me how I can do this requirement ?
    Thanks

The warning messages are fine and normal. (You may want to sellect a different build folder, looks lik eyou are building to where your apps are?)
Not sure about how you are trying to burn them (I use Toast or DVD SP itself), but in general make a new disc, then add the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders

  • FV50-Park a G/L Account Document BDC Warning message in screen 1001

I need some help with a BDC program.  I am working on a BDC program to process transaction FV50.   I went to SHDB and created a recording macro. When I test the recording with u201Csimpleu201D information the recording works correctly and the document is parked.  But, when I try to park a document with todays date for the Document Date and I use a date from a previous period I get a warning message which requires an extra screen to be displayed and u201Centeru201D has to pressed. My recording does not work when I get a warning message. I went back and re-recorded transaction FV50 and cause the u201Cwarningu201D message to be displayed so that I can add the extra screen to my BDC recording. I do not see the u201Cextrau201D screen in the new BDC recording.  Anyone know why? How can I make this BDC program handle this extra warning message?

You will have to add some logic to your program to check the date. If it is from the previous period, process the warning screen; otherwise, do not.
You may run into other problems as well. FV50 looks like an EnjoySAP transaction and not well suited to batch input.

  • Warning message in AVC in MB1A

    Dear,
In FM i have set system warning message 70% and error message 100% in AVC. This is working fine in creation of PO, but during consumption MB1A system not issue warning message when budget consumed 70% or more but showing error message on 100%consumption.
What is the reason during MB1A system not showing warning message if budget consume 70%or more ?
    Regards,
    Rabin.

    Hi,
It is not Possible to give the Warning message in the Field Exit, We only pass the ERROR message to it. Just capture the value in the Field Exit and after the Field exit, if it possible to add the code then raise the Warning message there
