Once we restart the excel services every thing starts working with out any error.
We had this charts from more than 1year. But the issue started recently. Can any one help me on how to fix the issue.

  • Loading Organizational Plan every week

    Hi Experts-
The client is trying to sync up the Organizational plan (Org units, positions and relationships) from external system. We currently have a plan but want to delete it and start syncing up with the external system.
    Question I have is-
    1. Is there a way to delete the existing plan (all org units, positions & relations) in one step?
    2. What happens to deleted object IDs? Are they gone from the system? Can I use the same object ID numbers again?
    3. We are planning to do a full load every week. That means we delete what we have and load full again. Is this a good approach? What are the issues with it?
    4. Is there a tcode to find out where (which workflows) the org units are being used?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Yes, you may use transaction RE_RHRHDL00 (Delete DB records). You just need to specify the correct evaluation path (depends on which organizational object are being used in your plan), such as ORGCHART, or even you may create a custom evaluation path.
Yes, after you delete organizational objects they are deleted from the Infotypes tables and you may use their IDs again.
To my opiion - NO! This is not such a wise approach. First - I assume that your OM and PA systems are integrated and the deletion may cause a mess. Moreover, the OM system is integrated with many other components, such Workflow and this has to be considered as well. There are so many issues to think about, such as: what happens if the deletion of some objects fails.... What happens if not all object will be loaded back to the system...
Org, Units may be included within the WF schema and as part of a Responsibility Rules (transaction OOCU_RESP).
My advise to you is to consider different alternative.
    Regards,
    Liran

  • I have several recuring alarms set up on my calendar for each day of the week. In the past few weeks, an alarm will occasionaly notify me roughly 15 minutes to an hour and a half late. These daily alarms are identical and repeat every day.

I have several recuring alarms set up on iCal for each day of the week. In the past few weeks, an alarm will occasionaly notify me roughly 15 minutes to an hour and a half late. These daily alarms are identical and repeat every day and there seems to be no apparent pattern to why or when an alarm happens after the event is past.

I assume you meant iCal rather than iTunes? Yes, iCal the time zone is correct. The delayed alarms only happen sporadically. Since I posted this message, the problem stopped happening every day at the same time, but it still happens occasionally with no rhyme or reason as to when. It's gotten so that I can't depend on my iCal alarms anymore.

    Plett81,
I'm having the exact same problem. It does not seem to be a settings issue but rather some sort of "problem" with mac mail. My Exchange provider was able to setup my mailbox on a test machine running Mavericks and everything pulled in fine, however I cannot duplicate on my upgraded system.
I was able to get rebuild my mailbox and get the older messages within my Exchange inbox, however none of my folders and old messages outside of the Inbox are downloading/synching.
**NOTE** I contacted Apple SUpport and they told me to call my email provider. I called my email provider which did as described above and they don't see a problem. SO as suspected it has something to do with the Mavericks update but I'm not sure Apple is willing to help. I might try contacting them one more time and see.

  • Why are excel charts copied to Illustrator CS 5.1 now coming in as pictures?

I've been creating charts in Excel 2004 for Mac for years and copying them into Illustrator. They have always previously pasted into Illustrator as vectors illustrations. I've created hundreds of charts in Excel before and copied them to Illustrator to "dress them up" for reports with no problems. I just created a chart in Excel 2004 for Mac and copied it to Illustrator and it came in as a picture. This is the first time I have ever had this happen with an Excel chart.
I've searched various sites and have not found anyone who's run into this issue.
    Any ideas?

I have never printed to pdf from Excel. I have always just copied the actual chart and pasted it into Illustrator, then worked on it there.
The image below is from one of the charts that originated in Excel and then was "dressed up" in Illustrator. It was a fairly complicated chart but it came into Illustrator with no problems whatsoever. (The Excel chart was fairly basic - specifically to avoid any issues when pasting into Illustrator.) All of the drop shadows and other embellishments were made in Illustrator.
My system has not changed  - other than the usual MS Office updates.

    Thanks( in advance)
    Moushmi

    Hi Moushmi,
Have you checked if the system has processes available while the chain is running?  It could be that your system is overloaded and the aggregates wouldn't roll up because you have no processes or available memory.
Check with your Basis resource.  Also, try changing your chain to do only 1 at a time.  Do you have many aggregates to load, are they big, and most important are they being used.

The hard drive on my Mac Book Pro failed last week.  I just put a new Samsung SSD in this thing and had to load the Snow Leopard OS that came with the computer.  I had Mt. Lion on the old drive that I had purchased last year but no boot disc made.  I have made several attempts to get the Mt lion soft ware on the computer but the Apple store does not have it only mavericks but my Snow Leopard version is too old for it so I cant get it either.  How do I get something to run the software that I had on the old drive?

Unfortunately I lost my life and am trying to rebuild.  Isn't the technical era great.
    Backup, backup, backup
As a minimum, use 3-2-1 (or even more)
3 copies of your data (original copy counts as 1)
2 different backup utilities/storage formats (protects from bugs in the software)
1 copy off-site (protects against theft, fire, and natural disaster)
More backup copies are even better.
Backup disks are cheap compared to the lost of personal data that does not exist anywhere else.

  • Copy Excel charts into Illustrator?

    Hi All-
I NEED to get charts that I have created in Excel (Microsoft Excel 2008 for MAC, Version 12.1.1) into Adobe Illustrator (CS2, 12.0.1).
I have hundreds of charts to do this with, so remaking all of the charts in Illustrator isn't really feasible. In addition, I must include error bars which I don't think Illustrator is able to do.
I also need high resolution images (which I why was told I have to use Illustrator in the first place) that are publication quality.
PLEASE HELP - I have been spending hours trying to find a way to do this and have been unsuccessful.
    Thanks everyone,
    jenn

Mac OSX 10.5.7  CS4  Excel 2004 / but Excel-to-.ai worked with older configurations, too.
My work involves scientific journal illustrations, some of which come from Excel graphs. Once I have the graphs in Illustrator, I 'clean them up' -- as was mentioned on the Forum: Excel comes in with lots of repeated lines and icky rotated text blocks.
I understand a problem might exist with MS versions, etc. -- so --
I don't know if these little tricks will help your situation, or not, but this is what works for me.
I Open a blank RGB Illustrator page and shift it over to the right on the monitor.
Then I Open the Excel file with the graph and shift it over to left on the monitor -- so I can see both pages, I select the Excel graph by clicking on it once, making sure that I have the outermost 'Excel selection handles (black squares) selected, then I verrry sloooowwly move the Excel graph over to the Illustrator page with my mouse. You DO need some patience on this step: it needs to be done slowly and when you get to the Illustrator page you must (still) hold the mouse there for a while, until it copies over. The more 'lines' in the Excel graph, of course, the longer it takes. approx. 10 seconds, or so, for lots of data.
Once over in Illustrator, I discard all the extra lines and 'retype' any Excel-rotated text. Excel seems to put rotated text in a bit-map piece -- with the real (unrotated) text included nearby as a copy. I find the good copy (a few steps) and redo it so it 'reads correctly,' and toss the 'icky-bitmap/pixelated-rotated-text-block' that came from Excel.
I was so frustrated when some Excel graphs just would not 'move over' to my blank Illustrator page. Excel graphs are given to me from a variety of clients: some would copy, some would not. I finally discovered the problem -- and -- it starts with Excel. The Excel-to-Illustrator step would fail IF patterns were used in the Excel graphs. Once I changed any/all Excel-pattern-fills to shades of gray one-by-one (or color, probably ? [not tested by me yet]), I could then move graphs over to Illustrator just fine. Other 'Excel properties' may cause copy-failure also, perhaps? Just look around at the graph in Excel: even a pattern in a key/legend may be the culprit that causes failure in the transfer/move.

  • Excel chart - bar values appear after selecting slicers

I have a small dashboard that displays total order dollars by week. This is generated from a SSAS cube on SQL Server. I have a couple slicers that control what is being displayed (order type and product type). The chart type is from a template.
This is a stacked bar chart.
I do not want the values of each bar to appear on the chart. When I first open the sheet the values are not there. When I start selecting the different slicers the chart starts displaying values of each bar.
How can I stop this from happening?
    Thanks

In excel 2013, if you want to Remove data labels from the chart. Click  the chart area->On the
'Design' Tab->Add chart Element->Data Labels, choose
    none .http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/excel-help/add-or-remove-data-labels-in-a-chart-HP001234166.aspx
If theses values still appear when you select slicer, please check if there any Macros in this excel file, meanwhile you can share us with this chart template.

  • Intermittent "Load Report Failed" error on IIS6 ASP 4.0

I can run reports designed in Crystal 2011 and embedded in VS2010 designed web pages on a Windows 2003 SP2 server every day.  However, once every 2 - 3 days I get a "Load Report Failed - A document processed by the JRC engine cannot be opened in the C++ stack".  The first instance of this error causes all subsequent user access to Crystal Reports to fail with the same error.  When the ASP 4.0 application pool is recycled the error goes away.
I was getting the "Load Report Failed" error due to "out of memory" I until made sure that the crystalreportviewer.dispose was run on exiting each report page.
Here is  how I run Crystal Reports:
Protected Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Init
            If Not IsPostBack Then
                Dim myAL As New Hashtable
                myAL.Add("MO1", Request.QueryString("MONum1"))
                myAL.Add("MO2", Request.QueryString("MONum1"))
Dim filename As String = ""
                filename = Server.MapPath("~/reports") + "\MfgPicklistByMO.rpt"
                Dim u As New CrystalUtilities
                Session("crViewer") = u.SetupReport(filename, myAL)
            End If
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = Session("crViewer")
        End Sub
Public Function SetupReport(ByVal fileName As String, _
ByVal Params As Hashtable, Optional ByVal dbParam As Boolean = True) As   CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
            Dim objCrystalReportDocument As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
            objCrystalReportDocument.Load(fileName)
.... logs onto a selected database, and loads paramters

I have installed CrystalReportViewer1.Dispose() statements on all of the link events to navigate out of the pages with the CrystalViewer.  However, it turns out that several users are using the back arrow to navigate out of the page instead of the navigation links I have put on the page.
I can't seem to find any event in ASPNET 4 that fires when the back arrow is pushed.  If I could find such an event I could put a CrystalReportViewer1.dispose statement there assuming CrystalReportViewer1 still has scope.    The Page_Disposed event does not fire when the back arrow is pushed.
    Environment:  VS2010, Crystall 2011, ASPNET 4.0

  • "Fixed" Excel chart

    Hi to all,
i have a question about excel chart.
I have created a simple query based on a simple infocube that read data from 2lis_11_vaitm infosource.
I know that i can create charts after run the queryNow the problem. The chart, is created with a user input (push the relative button on the bex toolbar). But if i close (no simply refresh) the query and i run it again, i loose the chart and i do same steps to recreate the chart again. I would like to have this chart automatically draw without user interaction.
The query is a "simple" type (not a web template). Is it possible to do that? In witch way?
    Good answers/solutions will surely rewarded
    Thx a lot
    Andrea

    Hi Andrea,
You did not say if Gupta's response solved your problem.  If it did, do not read any further.
If not ... I think I understand your problem.  I have seen this happen many times.  For some charts, refreshing the query destroys the chart.  For some other charts, drilling down and then drilling back up destroys the charts.
In these cases, the best solution is what you suggest ... automatically draw the chart each time that the query is refreshed.  How to do that?  With VBA.
First thing to do is to open the VB Editor (Alt+F11) from Excel.  Next locate the Subroutine named SAPBEXonRefresh.  If this is a problem, see earlier postings by me in which I explain this in detail.
Re: Where are the BEx variable stored
BW will run this subroutine every time that a query refreshes.  So, you can call your chart-drawing subroutine from this subroutine.  If there is more than 1 query in the workbook, you use the local queryID ("SAPBEXq000?") to only call the chart-drawing subroutine when the appropriate query is refreshed.
