Excel export and Multisim

Can the SPICE simulator be configured to export to Excel in scientific notation rather than letters for exponents (p for pico for example)? Excel doesn't know how to handle the letters!

Hi,
The option to export data to Excel with units is not available at this time I will put this in the Multisim suggestion box.

  • Excel export and totals

    Hi, all-
    When I export a report to Excel, it does not export the Totals boxes at the bottom of the report.  Is there a way to do this?
    For example, when I run a quarterly sales analysis report by item, then filter it to see a range of styles, I see the totals at the bottom of my screen in SAP, but the export in Excel does not pick up these fields.
    Any way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Shelby

    Hi ,
    I think it is calculated at run time and it will not be exported to excel . I guess you can try exporting to
    PDF and see if this works .PDF is also related to PLD layout so I guess you will have some flexibilty.
    Otherwise ,you need to  use excel function to resolve your issue.
    Hope this helps

  • OBI 11g excel export issue

    Hi,
    I have a report where on taking an excel export, the last column header appears without border and cell color.
    Could someone suggest which system files to look into to resolve this??
    Regards.

    i'm using 11.1.1.5 and i have been reading about a lot of bug in this version, specially with excel exports and formats. So i suppose we need to apply a consolidated patch to get over this. Any idea whats the patch id ? is it going to be a good idea to convince the client for an upgrade to 11.1.1.6 ?? what are the pros and cons in this action stated?
    Regards.

  • Excel export & Layout feature for UI element table

    Hello,
      I have a requirement to implement Excel export and saving of user layout in webdynpro table. I am not using ALV table but table UI element. Please let me know how I can implement the same.
    Regards
    Nilanjan

    Let say you have button at table toolbar to export table data into excel. On click of this button you want to perform export:
    you need to convert the content of context node bounded to table into an xstring to be used for export to an external file.
    use following steps to convert your context node data into XSTRING
    1. Get reference to the wd table displaying the data
    2. Create header row for export
    3. Get columns of table
    4. Create export row with field names for excel header row
    5. Collect export attribute names
    6. Get your context node data
    7. Build your export string such that value of attributes in each line are separated by horizontal tab i.e. %_HORIZONTAL_TAB and all lines are separated by newline i.e. %_NEWLINE
    8. Once your export string is ready convert it into xstring using FM:
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING'
        EXPORTING
          text   = lv_export_str
        IMPORTING
          buffer = xstring.
    9. Once XString is ready, use following method to export into yur file type:
    CALL METHOD cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response(
           I_FILENAME = 'exporttabledata.xls'
          I_CONTENT =  lv_xstring
          I_MIME_TYPE = 'EXCEL' ).

  • Problem with CR exporting and Excel formatting/merging

    I'm currently running Visual Studio 2008 (Version 10 of CR).  We have a Winforms application that runs various crystal reports  I can't say there's anything particularly sophisticated about it.  Just slap the report in a viewer, pass in the parameters, and run.  As I've mentioned elsewhere I have not done much with CR (or Excel for that matter).
    The problem is this.  Our client is exporting certain reports to Excel, the 'full' version if that's the right term, not the data only option.  The first field on every line of the detail is a text object consisting of several fields, concatenated.  These fields combined form an ID number that we want to sort by.  Unfortunately, so they tell me, this is currently impossible because in the export, the number occupies two columns and they are not merged.  (Actually it doesn't look like any of the report columns bear any relation to any of the Excel columns.)
    I always thought Excel export was one of those black box extras.
    Now I have to ask, is there any way to customize it, programmatically or otherwise?  (Am I overlooking any options?)
    (Digging a bit deeper, could there be something in the CrystalDecisions API that I could use?  Not sure I see anything useful in the ExcelExportOptions object yet.)

  • In XI pro, exporting PDF to Excel problem.  Excel columns and data are not properly aligned.  Help?

    I used 30 day trial of Acrobat XI and all the functions work perfectly.  But, when I buy the program (either download or disk) my PDF that export to Excel is not working.  The excel columns and data are not properly aligned as they should be.  The Trial version aligns everything perfectly.  What is happening?  I use a MAC 10.9.5.  But this shouldn't matter because the trial version works perfectly.  Can anyone help?

    just found out that this is posted in the wrong section.

  • Using OBIEE Scheduler to export and save data in excel/pdf

    Hi
    Is it possible to use obiee scheduler and run particular reports and export the data into excel/pdf and save this file at given location on server.
    env: obiee 11g/linux OS
    Thanks for any ideas.

    Hi,
    Yes it is possible.
    As per my knowledge we don't have such option but we can do one way.
    Using IBOTS you can store specific report and specific time in specific location.
    Note : Using JS script.
    Are you going to implement this way send me your mails id will send you js script for doing this.
    Re: Auto SAVE to excel -- Please refer this thread.
    Create js file using the below script and add this js scrif in your ibot advanced tab.
    var FSO = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject");
    var foldername = 'D:\IBOT'
    if (FSO.FolderExists(foldername))
    var fileName = foldername + "\\" +Parameter(1);
    var fooFile = FSO.CopyFile(Parameter(0), fileName, true);
    else
    FSO.CreateFolder(foldername);
    var fileName = foldername + "D:\IBOT" + Parameter(1);
    var fooFile = FSO.CopyFile(Parameter(0), fileName, true);
    Thanks,

  • Is any different between ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0 for Excel export?

    Dear all,
    As you know, most standard SAP report allow Excel export. I just wonder is any different between ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0 for excel report in standard SAP reports?
    In ECC 5.0, Reports in profit center accounting, LIS, or PA, etc. has their own different way to export to excel and is any improvement in ECC 6.0? I Thanks.

    In ECC 5.0, a lot of reports don't have Excel export function instead user has to go to system -> List -> Save -> Local file -> spreadsheet.
    I just wonder is any improvement in ECC 6.0? just like LIS report, user can select export -> Transfer XXL to either pivot table or just plain excel but the function only exist in certain reports in some modules and not all.
    Thanks again.

  • Numbers 2.1 when exported as an excel file and my application tries opening it, it says file contains corrupt data.

    I recently updated my iPad to the latest iOS 7 and updated my numbers app to 2.1. When i export it to a excel file and then when my C# application(using gembox library) tries reading it, i would get an error "file contains corrupt data". before making the update to iOS 7 and before updating my numbers the process worked fine!

    That didn't work for me and the page times out right about 5
    minutes (300 seconds). I don't have timeout checked in the CF
    Administrator so I don't think it is CF that is causing the
    timeout. I checked IIS also and the timeout is set to 900 seconds.
    Is there a possibility that SQL Server has some sort of
    connection limit and I'm using too many cfquery tags? If anyone has
    experienced a similar problem I would really appreciate the help,
    thanks.

  • BOE 4.0 and the Excel Export Compatibility Patch

    I know that it still in beta but does any know if BOE 4.0 will continue to include support for the Excel Export Compatibility patch?
    Thanks.

    No, it's been 10 years of support for that format. Time to upgrade your reports and XLS sheets.

  • Help needed with referencing single Excel cells and formatting resulting text

    In InDesign CS5 I am putting together a 20pp catalogue of about 200 products. The plan is to have the product information, SKU code, quantity etc fixed, but have the prices (there are two i.e. pack price and individual price) being linked to an Excel spreadsheet. This is so that the prices can be updated in the Excel file and the InDesign file will pull the new prices through. In case you are wondering why I don't pull the whole set of information through, this is because there are a lot of copywriting changes done to the information once it's in InDesign - it's only going to be the prices that will be updated.
    I am planning on having two single cell tables in their own text frame, duly formatted with cell style, table style and paragraph style for the two price variables. This I am then going to have to repeat 200 times making sure I link to the next row down in Excel. This is going to be a hideous task but I see know way of modifying the cell in InDesign to point it to the next row in Excel. That's my first problem.
    My second problem is this. In the Excel sheet, the prices are formatted as UK currency and are therefore like this...
    £2.00
    £0.40
    £1.43
    £9.99
    £0.99
    £0.09
    What I will require is once I import that data (and refresh the data via a newly saved Excel file) is that the prices end up like this...
    £2.00
    40p
    £1.43
    £9.99
    99p
    9p
    So if the value is lower than £1.00 it needs a trailing 'p' added  and the leading zero and '£' sign stripped off. If the value is lower than £0.10 it also needs the zero after the decimal point stripping off.
    Then formatting wise, the '£' sign needs to be superscripted and the same for the 'p'. This I am assuming could be done via GREP?
    In summary, can anyone help with the first task of referecing the Excel cells on a cell by cell basis, given that it is the same cell column each time, but the next row down, and also point me in the right direction of the price formattting issues.
    Any help will be gratefully received.

    I would do this:
    Create on line with the formatting.
    Export as InDesign tagged text (TXT)
    Read out these tags
    In Excel exists a function to connect text from several cells and predfined text, there connect the content from cells with the paragraph styling tags. Do it in a seperate sheet. (Better would be to use a database like Access, there you can link your Excel sheet).
    Export this sheet as txt file
    Place this sheet as tagged text (there is an option in one of the sialog boxes).
    In preferences  < file handling you can specify that Tablecalculation Sheets and text is not embedded but linked, turn it on.

  • Excel Exports

    1) Does anyone have a solution for creating an Excel Export with a chart / graph included?
    2) Is there any way to include formatting in an Excel Export? I'd like to be able to include Borders, Font Coloring, Formula's etc.

    Vega,
    What version of ApEx are you running? I know in 2.x you could not export graphs "directly" into excel. However, although I've never done it, I've read documentation from companies that opted to use ApEx over Java and ASP solutions... One practice was to leverage the use of individuals familiar with VBA to format reports exported from ApEx. Have any of those around? ;)

  • Excel export are merging cells for data on multiple lines !

    Hello,
    I'm using Crystal Report XI R2, when we are doing an export to Excel with have an unexpected formatting.
    For example the value of the name is on 2 lines:
    => So, on Excel the result is on 2 lines but merged. We want to have this result only on one cells.
    Remark: if we delete the 2nd lines, because cells are merged we obtain the expected result.
    Proposal A:
    Are they any set-up available concerning the formatting of Excel ?
    Proposal B:
    Could we run some VBA when we click on Export button to make queries on the Excel ?

    When they introduced Unicode support in Crystal 9 (I believe), they had to completely re-write the export routines. At that time, they made a decision to change the functionality of the excel export. Crystal is attempting to remain absolutely faithful to the graphical layout of the report as you see it in the viewer. So it creates merged cell sections, empty columns between columns, and empty rows to give you as close to exactly what you see in the viewer as possible. Unfortunately, the result is typically less than useful. Iu2019ve had several conversations with Business Objects (now SAP) with regards to this when they changed it between versions 8.5 and 10, and they have no intention of changing the functionality as it now exists.
    There is a document which is now likely somewhere on the SAP portal that explains what you need to do to obtain the best results when exporting to excel.
    The jist of it is this:
    Line up all of the columns detail data with thier headers, and make sure that data fields are the same size as thier headers.
    Line up all rows (headers and detail rows). (ie: select everything in the row, right click, align tops, and make the same height)
    cram everything as close together as possible. zero space in the report translates to zero extra collumns and rows in the export.
    the other option is to use the export to data only functionality, but that may not be what you're looking for either.

  • Crystal Reports export and print fails with SSL / https but works with http

    Windows 2008 Server, 32-bit (IIS7)
    ASP.NET 2.0
    Ajax 1.0
    Crystal Reports version 10.5.3700.0
    http:  printing works, export works
    https:  printing not working, only export to MS Excel and MS Word work.
    I am able to generate reports using both http and https, and the toolbar icons are all showing.  However, I am unable to print or export properly with SSL.
    Printing prompts me with a select printer window, and then a window 'Retrieving Page 1' follow by two messages from Crystal Print Control both stating:
    A communication error occured.  Printing will be stopped.
    Exporting generates various errors depending on which export method is being selected (however Excel and Word work over https).
    I've found the same problem on this site and other forums, but never a resolution to get exporting and printing to work with SSL.  Will someone please provide me assistance or possibly relay what settings they're using if they have Crystal Reports export or printing working over SSL in IIS7?  Everything works fine when I change the address from https to http.
    Please let me know if I can help by providing further information.  We've gone through a great deal of possible solutions with code and I'm currently looking in to IIS settings again.
    Thank you.

    Thanks Ludek. I got it by searching KB number.
    Unfortunately, it didn’t fix my problem even my IE (IE8 and IE 9) has correct setting.  I double check my version. PrintControl.CAB is version 10.2.0.1146. we use VS 2005 Crystal report and VB .NET. It works fine on HTTP. But when we use HTTPS (SSL Certificate from go daddy).

  • Exporting and Importing a table in Lookout 6.0.2 using Office 2007

    I am exporting a table to Excel 2007 from Lookout 6.0.2 so I can make changes and then import the table with changes back into Lookout. I have done this in the past with Excel 2003 and have had no problems. When I export the table the file that is created is an Excel 97-2003 workbook file, so after I make changes to the file in Excel 2007, I save the file as an Excel 97-2003 workbook because that is what is was initially and that is the only type of file Lookout sees when trying to do an import. Problem is when go to import this file I get an error saying 'cannot read file format'.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Lookout Datatable object can only read worksheet file, but unfortunately Excel 2007 can not save as worksheet any more.
    I have not found a way to use datatable with excel 2007 yet.
    One workaround is to use ODBC. Refer to this article.
