Excel export (webui crm -- excel) wrong format of house number

Hi,
in an excel export  (webui crm ---> Excel)  is displaying the wrong format.
If the house number contains a special character such as "/" then the house number displayed in the date format in Excel.
And if in the field house number is a number and a letter such as "9 a", then the house number is displayed in time format (9:00 am) instead the house number.
Does anybody know, how can I solve this problem?
Thank you in adance.
Best regards, Jasmin

Hi,
There is no error from the CRM functionality. If you SAVE the excel,instead of opening it directly and then " open with "
word pad or notepad, you can see the phone no.s and fax no.s are properly transported to excel.There is a default format setting of
excel from the Microsoft, so you are getting the default format after opening the excel.
Steps:
1.Export to excel.
2.Choose the BP,PHONE and FAX columns holding the 'CTRL'key.
3.Right click on the chosen columns and choose "format cells".
4.Under the tab "number" choose 'number' and and reduce the decimal
place to '0' and click "OK".
5.Now you will be able to see the expected format.
If you are using IE then the excel file that is being generated should be an XML file which would help with the formating issue. But when there is a problem in the generation of the XML file a CSV file is created instead.
The kind of problems that can cause this could be :
- Wrong version of Excel (professional needed)
- Error in encoding (note 1560243 corrects this)
- Active X Settings on browser are not properly setup or disabled
- Other problems (some fixed in note 1457261)
I hope this helps.

Lloyd

    Given your very brief description, I've no real idea exactly what you are attempting, nor with what. So, I'll just go to the beginning...please see this KB for instructions as to how to export your contacts to a CSV file, which Excel can then import:

    Hi,
    I had the same problems (html inside excel) it was caused by wrong excel / bex versions because they were not compatible.
    In my mind your error is caused by the same problem.

  • Excel dates export with wrong format.

    When I exported an Excel Spreadsheet with several date columns, they displayed correctly but because of wrong formatting, they didn't sort right. The cell display was, for example, 2/7/2013 but Excel treated it as 7/2/2013 because it was assigning another country's formatting. some of the cells were formatted correctly, but about half of them were wrong and they were wrong in different ways. some were Argentinian, some Carribean, some European. Any ideas how to prevent this from happening?

    Go to Sequence>Settings and in the lower left use load presets.
    Anything that's in the HD in the sequence will have to be reset using the remove attributes function. If you have mixed media, strange things will happen.
    Also use easy setup to change your preset so any future sequences you create will be in the correct format.

  • Issue while exporting report in Excel Format

    Hello,
    I am facing problem while exporting the report in Excel Format. After analysis, I think that it could be due to two reasons, either we are using wrong versions of Jars, or we are using wrong API. Here is the code, approaches and problems we are facing. Please help.
    First approach we are using is:
    // using basic API
    import com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk.ReportClientDocument;
    // get client document from crystal report API and open the report by specifying the report name, with path
                   ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
                   reportClientDoc.open( reportPath, 0 );
                   // give chance to extending classes to configure the report document by POJO or by sql parameter etc, just adding the parameters infromation using ParameterFieldController
                   configureReportDocument( reportClientDoc, reportMetadata, reportData, reportContext );
                   // get data source of crystal report
                   Object reportSource = reportClientDoc.getReportSource();
                   // export the data - we have also tried with MSExcel format
                   ReportExportFormat exportFormat =  ReportExportFormat.recordToMSExcel;
                   LOGGER.debug( "exportFormat[" + exportFormat + "]" );
                   ByteArrayInputStream byteArray = (ByteArrayInputStream) reportClientDoc.getPrintOutputController().export(
                             exportFormat );
    Problem Faced: Specified Excel format is not supported.
    Second Approach: We come to know that excel format is supported with new releases and with occa package.
    Then we tried with import com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument; It ask to set the ReportServer. When we are trying to set the server as
                   reportClientDoc.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
    Application is unable to find 'ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString' property. It seems like we are using some old jars. However we have downloaded the latest released jars for eclipse 2.
    Please help for it. Issue is to export the report in excel format, which is currently working fine for PDF. If this problem is related to Jars, please suggest the path to download the latest jars. We also looking for the latest jars like rasapp and rascore etc. But these are not available with Crystal Report for Eclipse 2 release.
    Waiting for urgent help. Thanks you..

  • Export to PDF, Excel, Excel (Data Only) formatting issues

    Hi Community
    I have a report that consists of 5 subreports. Out of the 5 subreports, 3 of them have a similar format whereas the other 2 are different.
    Iu2019m currently facing an issue whereby the exports to excel works fine, but excel (data only) has some alignment issues(i.e. the data appears below the correct columns). However, when the report is tweaked to make export to excel (data only) appear correctly, the export to excel had its data shifted out of alignment. There is no impact to pdf exporting at the moment.
    Are there any people who are facing similar issues? Is there any resolution or workaround? I appreciate any help. Thanks.
    FYI, the version of crystal reports is Crystal reports is Crystal reports 2008 and we are using the crystal report viewer interface to export into excel and pdf formats. The excel version is 2007.
    Regards

    DW, i've also run into issues with multiple sub reports. I resolved it by putting each sub report into it's own section, and then suppressing the sub report (Note, if ur trying to export subreport data to excel, I don't think its going to work. You'd need to create shared variables and then bring those sub report shared variables into your main report).
    Once you bring your shared variables into the main report, suppress your sub reports, and then export to excel, you're still left with a dataset that has missing rows. This is ok. You can solve it easily within the excel file itself by sorting the data on a unique ID like Account #. This removes the extra rows.
    Not the most elegant solution, but it works.

  • Historical Report - export report in excel format

    Hi,
    We are on UCCX 8.0 (SU2). We have an issue with Historical when we tried to export report in excel format, the report does not display in correct column. It's very confusing. We could manually correct (rearrange) the column label but it take lots of time as we have so many reports.
    Is there anyway to fix this issue? Does anyone experience the same issue with Historical Report?
    I attached the pictures for example.
    Thanks,

    This type of behavior is a bug. I took a look in the bug toolkit and there are several defects filed against the Agent Summary report in 8.0 but not one that matches this behavior. I would venture a guess that a DE was sloppy when fixing another bug and introduced this on us.
    You should open a TAC case on this. It is also possible that this defect already exists but is not public in the toolkit yet.

  • Exporting report to Excel format

    We try to implement automated export to Excel Format but Crystal Report XI Java runtime doesnu2019t support export to Excel Format but pdf.
    Do I need to migrate to Crystal Report Eclipse 2.0 for exporting report in Excel format?
    Or I can deploy the Crystal Report Eclipse 2.0 Java runtime only for exporting to Excel Format?

    As I know, you can easily export the data from an MS Access Report to Excel, but it's really hard to get the formats exported along with the data, or just not doable at all.
    Please see these links:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/microsoft-office/export-an-access-2003-report-into-excel-spreadsheet/
    http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=143884

    Also, keep in mind...it's easy to export the data from a report to Excel.  You can certainly setup Excel as a template, which has all the formatting applied and just sits on your disk drive...somewhere...waiting for you to dump new data into it from
    a new report...whenever you need it.
    Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

  • Excel Export Formatting Issue

    HI,
    I am working with CR XI R2 and asp.net2.0.
    I am facing some formatting issue when the report is exported to excel.
    I have to maintain the same formatting as in the crystal report ,when the data is exported to excel.
    My report is a tabular report.I tried exporting the report from Crystal report designer.Not via web application.
    I have used the data only option.When i used the other option (Excel 97-2000(xls)) the text was getting rotated at 90 degree but other formatting was not exported correctly.So i found data only option was more appropriate in my case.
    I hope same things can be achieved by asp.net also one we get it in the designer.
    while exporting from the designer,the main issues i am facing are
        1) In the report some headings i have put at 90 degree rotation.
            When it gets exported to excel the headings are getting exported with 0 degree rotation.
    2) I have applied some back groud color for groupfooter and page header.
         This setting is also not getting exported .the report is getting exported with out any back ground color formatting
    Is there any way to attach the exported pdf and excel file ,so that the issue would be more clear for you all.
    Please let me know if you require more information.

  • Excel Rendering Extension: Unknown Image Format Imag/GIF - SSRS Excel Export

    We are using the SSRS 2012 [ExportOpenXML].
    When a report is export to excel, getting the message Unknow Image Format IMage/GIF.
    Please suggest a fix the above issue.
    As per article Excel Rendering extension: Unknow Image Format image/x-png suggestion verified in Visual studio selected the gif file in the Solution Explorer panel, checked the Properties
    the MIME Type which is already set as image/gif.
    Note: Dev environment its working as expected and but issue is observed in QA environment. I wonder some setting is missing on QA enviornment which I'm unable to get the difference exactly.
    Quick help would be higly appreciated.

    Hi Niranjan,
    Based on the current description, I understand that there should be no issue when exporting the report containing image which is Image/Gif type in Dev environment because you have changed the MIME type to Image/Gif.
    To narrow down the scope to find the cause, I want to confirm some information below:
    1. Check Reporting Services edition in QA environment, if the Reporting Services edition is same between QA and Dev environment, you can back up the .rdl file and copy the .rdl file to QA environment and then export the report in Excel format to check
    whether the issue persists.
    2. If you export the report to other format such as PDF rather than Excel format in QA environment, please confirm whether the issue persists.
    3. If you change the MIME type to Image/Png and then export the report to Excel in Dev and QA environment, please confirm whether the issue persists.
    Supposing there is error message, please post the details to the forum for further analysis.

  • Export webi to excel with the exact same format

    Hello expert,
         I develped a webi report, but when I exported it into excel file, its format is defferent from WEBI report, such as text for legend with multple lines in webi presented in one line in excel,  there are a few descrepency.  please tell me how can I export webi to excel with the exact same format?
    Many Thanks,

    Hi,
    There are options for the "save as excel" step .   either a) for formatting ,   or b) for data
    these should help.
    The reason why there are 'undesirable'  rows (also, merged rows / columns) is because your report document has table outlines which have been positioned 'by eye'.
    When the rendering algorythm outputs it content,  it's looking at pixel-level , so the relative position of borders can get messed-up. It's mainly due to slightly sloppy formatting.
