Excel for mac (14.1.3), opens but the pages are blank?

I'm trying to read excel documents sent to me on mail in an els or xlsx format but all open with no text. I have read that excel should work fine on OSX Lion but cant find anything on this current problem. Any ideas?

Since updating to Snow leopard I cannot download.When I click on download it changes to a grey sheet. I can't do a software update either as it tells me am not connected to the net when I am. Could this all be part of the same problem?

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

My Deskjet 3054 610 still acts as though its printing but the pages are blank. Can anyone help?

My HP Deskjet 3054 610 has been working fine, until it just quit scanning one day (that's another issue). Today I was printing a 7-page doc. It printed the first page fine, and the other pages just spit out blank. I restarted the printer and tried again. Now the printer seems to be printing with the back and forth motion, but the pages are still blank. The ink levels are fine, as is the wireless connection.
Any suggestions for help would be appreciated!

A bit of a pain, but you'll need to take a screenshot and print that, Skitch makes taking such screenshots much easier if you are interested.

I second LibreOffice as it's the most recent fork, however NeoOffice and OpenOffice will also work.
Just say No money to Redmond!
Also the old Ready Set Go! will be having a Lion version out soon.
It's a low cost page layout program (like Indesign but without the high price) and can make booklets etc better, import the excel grpahics from LibreOffice.

Try closing all open applications in multitasking and power cycling the device. Once this is done test the results. If the issue persists, I have included a couple troubleshooting articles that I would recommend going through.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.

Move the library back into your Pictures folder and open it. Then close it and try rebuilding again.
Select the options checked in this screenshot:
If that fails continue with this:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

no official way but if you open the Apple TV and put the hd in the external case it should mount and give you access to the data on it

When open document, all pages are blank except title page.

The document can be viewed by other application.

I loaded up your PDF file which is simple text but more than 5000 pages into Reader 10.3 on my iPad 3. I had exactly the same results as you. The pages are blank.
It could be read fine in Acrobat Pro X on my Macintosh.
But then I also loaded it in PDF Expert on the iPad, and I could read it.
I think this is one for the Adobe engineers to look at. Reader 10.3 is not handling very large file sizes well.

Hi, in Word for Mac 2008, this just started today, I have had this version on for almost a year. the cursor starts in middle of the page when you open Word, Icant fix it, I reinstalled 3-4 times, and even made a new disc from the other MAC, which works. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you restarted your computer? (Restarting is a cure for many minor ailments.)
Have you tried deleting Word's prefs? (Prefs sometimes get corrupted. If deleted, the app will recreate them with the default options.)
