Excel not showing up as a "Save As" option

I have an existing pdf that I'd like to save as an Excel Spreadsheet but that option isn't showing up in the drop down list (Word shows up fine). It's not in the Export drop down either. Is there a setting somewhere that I should know about? I'm using Adobe Pro 9.5.5. As an aside, the pdf I'm working with is being stubborn and won't let me export to any file type except .txt which I tried to import into Excel but it created more work for me trying to get all the data in the correct columns. I've tried printing to the PDF printer - it doesn't like that either. The error I keep getting is "Adobe was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error: Bad PDF; could not read page structure (bad page contents), <Expected a number object> [7]. I have a coworker that is using the same program that has Excel listed in the Save As drop down. I just don't know what she has that I don't. Thanks!

It appears you have a bad copy of the file. That is what the BAD PDF warning is all about. You cannot fix the file. You might have more luck with some other company’s converter but Adobe does not work with corrupt pdf files because that can lead to all sorts of security concerns. Working on malformed files is a favorite method of hackers to get access to your computer.

It is hard to exactly understand what you have done or not by you one sentence description. My thought is have you read in the Pages User Guide? Here is what it says about updating a chart in Pages:
Updating a Chart Copied from a Numbers Document
If you’ve created a chart in Numbers, you can copy it and paste it into your Pages document. After it’s been pasted into Pages, the chart remains linked to the data tables it references in Numbers. To change the chart data, open the original Numbers document and edit the data there, save the Numbers document, and then refresh the chart data in Pages.To update a chart after you’ve updated its linked Numbers table:
Select the chart on the page and click the Refresh button that appears.
Note: You must save the Numbers document before copying and pasting your chart into your Pages document and after editing the Numbers data tables that the chart references.

Windows 8.1 - VBS "Pin To Start" not showing in the list as an option

I am having an issue with "Pin to Start" working with vb script.
With the script section below works fine with Windows 8.0 but I msgbox out
the options list with 8.1 and does not show "Pin to Start" as an option although is shows in the GUI
when you right click.
Any ideas ?

Excel is not showing multiple Drill thru report selection option

We have created 3 drill thru reports in EIS, excel is not showing Select Drill-Through Report Dialog Box when tying to acess drill thru reports. It defaultly executes the first drill thru report, we want it to list the available reports so that we can select accordingly after view/launch is selected.

Photo/Edit-In CS6. psd image does not show in LR after save/close.

Whenever I edit (a copy) of an image in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4.3 (Photo/Edit-In), after I save and close the image in CS6 the new psd image does not show in Lightroom. In order to see the image in Lightroom, I need to close Lightroom and then reopen Lightroom. It is almost like Lightroom needs to "refresh". Does anyone have a solution that does not require me to close Lightroom? I have tried to use View/Sort by extension, filename, edit time, etc. with no effect.

This should not be so. I'm assuming that you do a <save> in CS6 - as opposed to <save as>. Only with <save> the image file will automatically be imported in Lr while <save as> creates a new file that Lr "knows" nothing about until you import it (for instance via "Synchronize folder").
If the behavior you describe follows a <save> in CS6 it is not normal.
This could be due to a corrupt Preference File. This file can go "funny" and is then responsible for all kinds of strange behavior of Lr. The remedy is replacing the Preference File.
BTW: Re-installing Lr does not replace the Pref. File since it is designed to "survive" upgrades.

BI publisher Addin for Excel not showing up

Hi all,
Recently i installed the latest version of bi publisher desktop into my computer.
First i was not able to see the BI publisher tab in both the word and excel (Office 2013).
but after running the "TBMenusSetup" i am able to see the tab in word but not in excel.
Is there any solution to make this tab show up in excel?
Any help is appreciated.

I think that you need the add-on Report Generation Toolkit in order to have a choice of Excel. Standard and HTML are the only options with the standard report thatships with LabVIEW.

I have the new macbook pro from late 2011. when i try plugging my cannon gl2 into the mac via firewire 800 it does not show up in iMovie as an option to import from. i even have gone into my settings on the camera and changed it to vcr.

"the one before the new ritina display" i have a cannon gl2 video camera which is mini dv. when i plug it into my mac via firwire 800 it does not show up in the iMovie. i have set the settings on the camera to vcr mode and changed it to av->dv out. when i click on the import from camera on imovie it doesnt even show my camera in it. it just gives me the option to import video from my facetime camera. the camera is turned on the wires are connected i know for fact that its a firewire and not a usb. i know what they each look like. i bought the firewire cable and it was marked down cause it was an opened and used item. would it be possible that it could be deffected and if that is not the reason what other options do i have?

I would say that odds are high that you have a bad cable. Maybe that is why they returned it.
I would suggest trying a different firewire cable.

Other things to check:
Is your camera plugged in to wall power (not to batteries only). Must be hooked to an AC power source to import.

Mac does not show UBS as a serial port option for Arduino Uno

My Macbook Air with Mavericks will not show a USB connection to Arduino Uno Rev 3. I have tried installing the drivers from: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm but still no luck. Any suggestions appreciated.

I've used Arduino IDE 1.0.5 and have recently upgraded to Arduino IDE 1.6.1
I've never had to install special USB drivers.
I simply connect the Arduino UNO R3 to the USB port.
In Terminal, perform the following command
ls -al /dev/tty.usb*
This command will list the USB port for the Arduino, e.g. /dev/tty.usbmodemfa131
Sure enough, this device appears under Arduino -> Tools -> Port
Make sure the Arduino is connected to the USB port.

"mailto" does not show in the applications list undet "options"

Calendar not showing multiple days when using Gmail option

Since I installed Mountain Lion the calendar when using the Gmail option does not show the bar (highlight ) when using multiple days. The detail transfer to My I pad perfectly and the Apple work & home are also working. If I click on the first day of an event then it is highlighted.

Airport drive not showing up as one of the options when installing new programs

I purchased a large 120GB soundbank (Komplete 9 from Native Instruments) and need to install it to my MacBook Air which does not have enough space on the internal drive.
I have a 2TB Airport capsule and thought I would be able to install the program on there but it does not show up as an available option when I try to install the program (see screenshot). Do I need to buy an external drive that plugs in via USB instead? I'm hoping I don't need a MacBook Pro instead...

Programs usually aren't the biggest culprits in terms of space usage, it's normally data files that take up more space. This kind of huge library really is best installed on an external drive, provided you don't mind carrying it around with you. Here's how you install it on an external:

Csv/excel not showing vertical . it is displaying horizontally plus

hi i have this code that displays html, pdf or csv/excel
download.
htmll report and pdf is ok but the csv/excel download
displays/ works but
it shows accross instead of down.
on my html to csv it is not dispalying vertically /down and
it shows the html on the excel download
also
per cel it has both the plotid and the ceenum. it displays
horizontally.

ITunes 10 Album Artwork Not Showing Up In Screen Saver

After installing iTunes 10, my screen saver settings (which used to pull from my iTunes Album Artwork) are no longer working. The screen saver option now says "Your iTunes Library does not contain any songs with artwork" yet it does. The screen saver option is no longer finding it. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank you.

not long ago I have joined iTunes Match.. unfortunately haven't checked if it works before for long time..
I have: repaired permissions, removed com.apple.screensaver. iTunesArtwork* in ~Library/Preferences/ByHost/.
Still nothing.
I have found that ~/Music/iTunes/Album Artwork/ has 4 directories inside:
Cache
Cloud
Download
Local
.. first 3 had random named dir (the same) with what seems to be artworks directories. Local was empty still copying there this random dir didn't help too..
Any ideas please?

Placed image not showing up once I save to PDF

I have checked the link again and again. The link is fine. At first I had a .psd file in there, which I thought may be the problem, but then changed it to a .eps and it still did the same thing. However, the weird thing is that the placed image shows up fine when I view the pdf on my computer. I also checked it out on a friend's computer and it looked great. But on the client's mac, she's not seeing it.... Anyone know what's going on here?

Good possibility your PDF is complex, using transparency, perhaps, and your friend with the Mac is using Preview to view it. Make sure she's using Acrobat or Adobe Reader (FREE) before you do anything else.
