Excel VBA with 11.0.07 is not working. only works with 11.0.06
I have a Excel program that uses the PDF library in the excel. This allows me to use the PDF viewer in the VBA Form. With the recent update I cannot even open the excel file. As soon as I try clicking on a button excel crashes and restarts. I have rolled back the version to 11.0.06 and it works normally. I tried to create a new excel file with the new update. as soon as I add the control on the form, the excel crashes and restarts itself.
Can you please fix this in the next patch?

I live in Norway, and the phone has been either provided by a Norwegian carrier, or bought unlocked from the Norwegian Apple Store. You can check yourself by going to Settings-General-About-Model and type the model number (MC133KN in my case) here: http://iphonefrom.com/en/MC133KN But it`s unlocked, I placed a Lebara SIM in it and it works perfectly.
If it has been carrier-locked then most(if not all) Norwegian carriers are selling the phones on a 12 months subscription contract. When the 12 months are up, the phone is being unlocked by the carrier either automatically, or upon customer`s request(depends which carrier you use).
It`s good to hear that your 3GS works well with the iOS 6, still after having read about issues after upgrade I have a feel that the upgrade to iOS 6 may be a hit or miss.
I read on a forum that early iPhones can only support 3 major upgrades. Can that be true? -
Why does Do Not Disturb only work when the iPhone is locked?
I've been wanting for awhile now a way to easily turn off all notification alerts and incoming calls while keeping cellular data and wi-fi on so I can use my phone in peace without gimping my wireless connections, and even though iOS 6 as a whole seems awesome to me, I'm disappointed Do Not Disturb only works when the iPhone is locked.
Was just wondering if other people felt the same way I do and start a discussion about it so maybe that with more people talking about it, Apple would pay attention to it more. People complaining about how calls and alerts were lighting up their screen at night seems to be some inspiration to why Apple added Do Not Disturb in the first place. Didn't know I was doing anything in violation of the Terms of Use so sorry about that.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I am using Excel 2003 SP3 and have the Office 2007 compatibility pack installed. When I open Office 2007 formatted Excel files (XSLX) directly in Windows Explorer, I receive the following error if I do not have Excel already opened:
"Windows cannot find '<path to file>'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."
Even though I receive the error, the file does open; however, it opens in Read Only mode with a name such as "Xl0000024.xls". The number seems to increment up each time it happens.
Now here is the strange part. If I have Excel already open and try to open the file in Windows Explorer, the file opens fine in Modify mode with no error and with the correct file name.
I Googled the error I was getting and found KB211494. It says I should uncheck the box in Options on the General tab that says "Ignore other applications", but this box is already unchecked in my case. Any other ideas? This is
really frustrating as a small percentage of our company has upgraded to Office 2007 with the rest still on Office 2003.This may be a file association problem. To solve that:
In Windows 7:
1. Right-click the file,
2. Select "Open With"
select [Your Program Here]
3. Check always use this program.
In Windows XP:
1. Locate the file as you have described above
2. Right click the file
3. Select Open with from the pop-up menu
4. Click Choose default program…
5. Select Excel in the Recommended Programs box
6. Check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
7. Click on OK.
1. Make Excel not available from Office 2007 listed under Programs and Features in Control Panel.
2. Take a registry backup using the steps given here
3. In the registry editor window expand HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and navigate to .xls right and delete it.
4. Exit Registry Editor
5. Undo Step 1 to make Excel available.
6. Restart the computer and verify it the issue is fixed.

I purchased a new vehicle and the older ipod nano I have will not work through the USP port, only works through the aux plug. Is there a download i can get toput into the nano that will then allow me to use the USP port instead of the aux port?
Check with your dealer and see if there is a special cable available for connecting your iPod. It should have a dock connector on one end and USB and miniplug on the other.

nothing, there aren't any external speakers on the touch so you will only be able to hear music, etc with the earbuds. i assume that is what you are talking about. unless you are having problems when it is connected to a docking station with speakers.

MacBook Pro will not charge, only works when plugged in.
My MacBook Pro says it is at 68% battery not charging but the source is coming from the power adapter. It hasnt gone down for the past day or so. Also it only works when it's plugged in and shuts down immediately when the charger is unplugged. I just bought a replacent cord and this started happening. Does anybody have a fix for this? I see I'm not the only one with Cloud problems....
I did a search to see if others were having problems with the Cloud service. I started getting error messages on my desktop but didn't give it much thought because I don't care all that much about the desktop. But today I keep getting a message from the Cloud app....well I guess it's the Cloud app. It tells me to sign in...which I attempt to do....then it says I'm locked out and to go online and change my password. So I do that....still have the same problems on my phone....whatever I'm doing ...it stops and here comes the stupid app I guess asking me to log in to the Cloud. I use the new password and it still doesn't work. Then I checked the Cloud on the desktop...can't sign in to that either. So I have now attempted to call the number that has come up on my phone and on my desktop to call.... 800-922-0204...and after being redirected to some other number I've been on hold for over 15 minutes.
So anyway, now I see that lots of people are having Cloud problems and the really irritating thing is that the responses from the Verizon people are just no help whatsoever and they have this fake cheery sound to them...like they want you to think nothing is wrong and I haven't been on hold forever etc. etc.
Why not just admit that Verizon is having lots of troubles...looks like for at least a month but maybe several months....with the Cloud service?

And then when it's fixed let me know. But then I guess they couldn't charge me for it if they admitted it.This sucks. I go in with a phone problem, they transfer everything to the cloud to do a factory reset only to decide they will have to send me a replacement phone. So I spend the afternoon trying to get my photos and stuff off the cloud, only to constantly get an error. I don't want the cloud, I want my stuff and to disconnect. They have me on hold for 10 minutes, try 100 things again over the phone, then ask if I want to wait while they get a guesstimate on when the cloud will be up. I said no, they will give me a guess and either they will be right or they will be wrong. She was surprised by that answer!

I have a two problems with my new Ipad 2 operating system iOS 6.1.3
1) I can not syncronize with my itunes purchaces that I have on my mac book pro (operating system mountain lion)
2) When i purchase items from itunes store the downloads never finishes
I have tried starting and re-starting. Resetting the Ipad to original settings and non of this have worked. Any idea to what I should do?
Thanks a lot, JosephineThat's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -
IMac with 10.6.6 will not boot from external with 10.4.11
My MacBook Pro with 10.6.6 will boot from that same external with 10.4.11 but the iMac does not. Why not?
1. When the iMac is starting up with the Option key depressed, the bootable 10.4.11 appears normally and can be selected. But when I click on the circle below the bootable icon, the computer freezes.
2. When I have the iMac running and try to change the startup volume via the Preferences, the bootable icons are present but are not active.
Is there a setting on the iMac I need to reset? Or, is it not possible to boot from the 10.4.11 external?
Specs:
MacBook Pro Processor - 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo, Memory - 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
iMac Processor - 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3, Memory - 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3The answer is dependent upon what version of OS your machines came with (and the install disks are machine/build specific) - no Mac can boot from a system older than what was supplied with the machine. So, if your MBP originally came with 10.4.x and you upgraded it since, it can still be booted from the earlier version. If your iMac came with 10.6.3 for instance, it can only be booted with 10.6.3 or later.

My iMac with OS X Lion does not share videos properly with my iPad.
My iPad video program show the shared videos from the iMac. But when I attempt to play them, I get an error message that this movie could not be played. The shared videos work fine when I use my MacBook Pro. Since these computers are both authorized, why am I getting this message on the iMac?
Have a look at the boot log messages, using Console.app (also with the "dmesg" command), and see if there's a clue there, or, set the boot process logging to "verbose" (i.e., using TinkerTool System) and find out what's really going on live at boot time. (Also, do you have BootCamp setup, or any ofther bootable partitions?)
