Excel viewer not installed problem

Dear all,
i am getting error message "excel viewer not installed" with error code UMC030 .
Getting this error message when running a report under management cockpit walls.
Any help?

When executing BW reports from the GUI, the following error is received. Reports run directly from excel seem to work fine.

This error is occuring on machines that were recently upgraded to SAP GUI 7.20 patch 7 and BW 3.5 patch 5. In some cases but not all, running a repair on Excel resolves the issue. However, we do not want to have to run a repair on all machines that will be upgraded. Does anyone no the root cause and an easier solution for this issue?

Import problem of tables/views not installed

import utility script may not be existing in full or the version of import utility that is needed to import from that perticular export not exists at all.
In other words you should check which version of export file you are trying to import ?
for example if you are trying an import on oracle version 7.3.4. you need to have same version of oracle to import. If not you should run relevant catexp.sql files before you import.

This happens while exporting from a remote client machine. When I export from The machine where database resides, there is no problem at all. Why tis happens?

May we know the database version of your exported and imported database ? I believe that , you trying to import into lower version of database. If yes, then loging as a sys and run the script $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catexp.sql .

Hi,
After I installed 9i on win2k and try to import a dmp to 8.1.7 database, I got this error message along with:
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 942 encountered
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
IMP-00023: Import views not installed, please notify your DBA
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
Does anybody know how to fix it?

This is usually caused by an incompatibility between
the export and import versions.
I have found the best way is to use the same version to provide compatibility

Adobe Content Viewer not installed on V28

Today I updated both my CC and CS6 versions of InDesign, so I now have V28 of DPS tools, however there is no Content Viewer app available for my Mac (Running )SX 10.8.5).
When I try to preview on Desktop via the Folio Builder panel, an error stating that the Adobe Content Viewer couldn't be found comes up.
All the Adobe Support documents go through the process of finding the AdobeContentViewer.air file in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6/ContentViewer folder, but I only have three files in that folder:
Adobe AIR Installer.app
Install Adobe Content Viewer.app
Install DPS App Builder.app
So I can't double-click it to reinstall it.
My Air is up to date, my Updates are all up to date, and I can't find how to unistall InDesign (I am a Creative Cloud subsriber).
I used my Time Machine backup to go and get it from a back up, but it wouldn't install when I double-clicked the old version (I was getting desperate!)
However I can preview the same Folio on my connected iPad running the latest version of the Adobe Content Viewer app
After a live chat, then over two hours on hold for some UK technical support on my land line, and just over an hour on my mobile, plus a Skype call to the US 800 number to be informed of over an hour's wait there, and to discover UK support is only during office hours, and after nearly two hours it has passed 5.30pm, I had to give up on Adobe's official technical support, and resort to more searching on Adobe forums, but have found nothing for CC or CS6 that I haven't already tried, except unistalling and reinstalling InDesign. But I can't find how do that via Creative Cloud. At one point I had to tell one of the nice indian "technical support" staff not to put me back in the same loop as I'd been in twice before as I was close to tears. He sympathised but told me it wasn't his area of expertise - surprise surprise... Not a good day.
Pleeeese, is anyone else having this problem, or has anyone else solved this problem?

Thanks Neil, that worked once I'd installed it directly into the Applications folder, not within a subfolder.
So if anyone else has this issue, install the Desktop Viewer app for CC and it works for both CS6 and CC.
NOTE, that you need to double-click the Install Adobe Content Viewer.app file, don't look for a file called Install Adobe Content Viewer.air as per the instructions, as they are out of date.
Phew, I have finally got all my DPS functionality back, and have created a V27 app using V28.

Error occured at Class not registered... Because Excel is not installed?

I received the following error while trying to run an application built with LV 7.1:
Error -2147221164 occured at Class not registered in Open_Excel.vi > Report_generation_excel_Tbeta WITH new layout.vi > Mirror_Cycling_Main tbeta-2.vi
Could this be because Excel is not yet installed on the computer? Will there be a problem if Excel is installed after the 7.1 Runtime Engine and LabVIEW drivers?
Also, should I stay away from installing higher versions of Excel than what was originally used?
Would it be possible to create a VI like this with the base version of 8.2? I'm not certain what some of the controls on the front panel are and 7.1 does not give me additional information in the help dialog- if someone could give me the names of the various components circled in red in the attached JPG I would appreciate it.

I'm using excel 2003 with labview 2009 v9.0f2. I have attached the VI here. Basically, Im just using the"excel get all data.vi" to read an excel file to create an array and that's where the error occurs.

Table or View Not Found Problem

Hi all,
I am facing a strange problem where-in I am calling a query from a normal SQl window which works but the same in Procedure gives me an error.
User A...This runs this statement
Select * from B.emp which gives results. The same statement when I compile in a procedure it gives an error saying Table or View not Found.
User A has a select on B.Emp where B is the owner of table Emp.
I am not able to get to the solution of the same. Is it apossibility of a synonym conflict? Can someone help in what ways this error can come?

Interesting, what version of Oracle are you using ? As you can see below, the stored procedure does not recognized the privilege that have been granted through a role.

SIM Card not installed problem

Lately, my iphone 4 is giving me the "SIM Card is not installed" message, whereas a SIM card is installed. Do you have any solutions for this problem?

HP color laserjet 2600n windows 7 printer not installed problem with spooler.

My computer will not recognize my printers. Nothing new was installed, just all of a sudden, they were gone . Have installed new drivers, and had a very knowledgeable person look at it-nothing. Thank you, Installed as suggested, took ages as I have an exremely slow broadband connection via sky. Did'nt get any error messages except error in win sys 32\nvsc.dll missing entry nvscstart. Looked in control panel, the file Adobe Flash Player active X is there as is Flash10e.ocx in the add ons under shockwave Flash object(tools/manage add ons) but still flash does not work in either u-tube or BBC iplayer-or anywhere else?
I have Avast as a virus checker and Mcafee could this be a problem?

V21 folio/viewer not installing on Android

We have a folio that we built and tested for iOS and Android with the standard Adobe Content Viewer. It has been published and a custom viewer created (same v21) for both the Android and iOS markets. Apple store version is still under review although the downloaded .ipa works fine. The Android viewer app is available on google play but users are experiencing an error when attempting to install receiving the message 'This item is not compatible with your device'...
This is occuring on all Android phones regardless of OS old/new. However, there are no errors when installing the app on Android tablets.

As someone with customers who want the apps that we made for Android tablets to also work on Android phones I vote for mixed results over no results...
We've been using folios created at Xoom resolution on a number of Android phones via the Adobe Content Viewer and the customer has been very happy with these. Unfortunately we can't offer them custom viewer apps with the same functionality. I'm not sure what the fear is on Adobe's part, but we'd prefer to have the option of deploying to all Android devices. Trying to explain to a customer why it isn't possible and that you have no idea when it might be possible does not make sense to them. I know it's long been a feature request and that Adobe is supposed to be working on bringing Android feature support up to the iOS standard this fall, please let it be sooner rather than later.

"Scanner not installed" problem

I'm using a G-5, running 10.4.11 I use an Epson Expression 1600 scanner in Photoshop (CS3). The last time I used it, as the image finished scanning and appeared on the screen, the computer crashed. (Kernal panic). Since then, I've been unable to use the scanner. In Photoshop, File>Import>Epson Expression 1600, the Epson software launches, but I'm then told there is no scanner installed. I've downloaded and reinstalled the Epson scanner driver, installed a new USB hub, (and also plugged the USB scanner cable directly into the Mac), unplugged and plugged in the scanner. No luck. System Profile shows the scanner (or maybe it's just the driver it's detecting.)
I don't know if the problem is in the scanner, Photoshop, or Tiger. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. If I can't solve it soon, I'm going to need to buy a new scanner.

TDM Excel Add-In for Microsoft Excel will not install: Installation Summary No software will be installed or removed.

My7 computer is running Windows 7, I have the Base installation of LabVIEW, and have Microsoft Office 2007 installed.
I have downloaded the Add-In for Microsoft Excel from:
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2944
unzipped it successfully (66 files created)
searched for messages and updates (No notifications.)
and I get a screen reading:
Start Installation
Review the following summary before continuing.
Installation Summary
No software will be installed or removed.
The "Next" button is grayed out, leaving "Save File" "<<Back" and "Cancel"
Does anyone have a suggestion why I am unable to go any further?

Are you sure it hasn't been installed before? Under Control Panel...Programs and Features...National Instruments Software...do a "Change/Remove" and look down the list for "NI TDM Excel Add-In verX.XX". If found, uninstall and re-run the installer for the newest version.

EXP-00024: Export views not installed, please notify your DBA

Dear OTN Forum,
I applied the patch 9.0.2.0.5.0 to the database 9.0.2.0.1
after the patch was applied I create a new database using the configuration assistance... every thing was ok until I made an export. The error EXP-00024 was showed!
The questions is:
How this could be happen if no errors was showed during the database creation process?
and the most important:
Can I run the catexp.sql script withouts problem once I've created the database and insert too many data into it?
Please any comment about it..I need to make an export backup!

You probably created a database from a pre-defined template, these templates are useless after applying a patch as these templates are actually the pre-configured datafiles ect.
You will need to apply the patch to the database you created or...re-create the database custom.
