Excellent frame rate web cam for deaf users

Hello. My son and brother are deaf. I just got a new Dell Latitude E66410. I says it is your camera integrated in the laptop. When doing a yahoo video call with my son and brother, I noticed my video quality is superior to their laptop integrated webcams. The deaf community loves a high frame rate and high resolution for American Sign Language. What camera is in the E6410? Do you sell a USB version iof it? Can a different USB Camera of your offer the same HD quality and near 30FPS. Lots of Web Cams say HD, and 30FPS. This is the first one I have seen that lives up to it! Do your Live Cam series attain this quality. Thoughts or questions? Thanks! Mike

Try to take your processor and call the setRate(float rate); Method from it. I am also using this. It should work.

I get great results with a 12-month old Logitech Pro 5000 USB camera. Prior to the purchase of this C2D Mac mini, I used it with a 1 GHz eMac running Leopard & an 800 MHz iBook running Tiger. Since the arrival of OS 10.4.3, support for USB webcams has been built in.
I was surprised that the eMac worked as it is an older one without USB 2.0.
Prior to the purchase of the Logitech camera I also achieved excellent results using a Mini DV camcorder which connects via Firewire.

Is there a way to create a web form for a user to take himself off paid membership subscription?

I know there is a way to add a user to a paid membership subcription using the web form. There is a video on BCGuru that shows how to do it. Is there also a way to use web form for the user to terminate his paid membership? Or does it always have to be done manually by the Admin?

Web cam for mac

My grand kids have just got an e mac and have set up msn messager to talk to their friends. I thought about buying them isight web cam for them for Xmas but the are expensive. Maybe this is not a good site to ask this question but anyone know of a good alternative which is more affordable?

The Mac version of MSN Messenger does not support video. Yahoo messenger's software supports video from Macs, and iChat supports video chatting with AIM.

I'm looking for an inexpensive web cam for the eMac. It's just for the kids so I don't need an iSight or anything like that. Hopefully under $50. Any recommendations?

Alternate web cam for Mac

Hi guys, this may be only for Aussies and NZ's.
I have a imac G5 and was wanting to get a web camera for it. The isight is way too expensive for what it is, and the logitech 400 camera is also in the $140 mark. As I don't really care about the rez and so forth, I don't really want to pay so much money. There used to be a macally one that typically sold for around $50, but I can not seem to get it in Australia any longer.
Anyone know about any other possible web cams for mac that would be in the no-so-expensive range, and could be in Australia?

If you do decide to get it, or any other USB webcam, then don't forget to also get Ecamm's iChatUSBcam software.
FWIW, I love the iSight -- I realize it's expensive, but if you use it a lot you learn very quickly to appreciate the superior picture, sound and style.

Email and Text Alerts for deaf users? A critical necessity!

I'm a little confused. I have to use "vibrate" as my ring tone because I'm deaf. Email and text messages **ARE** the telephone for deaf users and we want to know immediately when we receive an email or txt message. But I only get one little buzz when I get an email message and I almost never notice it because it's so short. Isn't there a way to make the vibrations repeat, say, 3 or 4 times, or even until you respond to the alert? I could ask the same question about calendar alerts. Is there any way controlling how many vibrations you want to receive when your calendar kicks in? I need an alert that will draw my attention to it, nag me a little when I need it to.

There is no way to adjust vibration lengths or times.

Mac loses performance in frame rate after gaming for 2 minutes

Hello,
I am owner of a 17" MacBookPro(2010), with an 2.8Ghz Intel i7 processor, 8GB RAM, 500GB HD, and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M.
I game almost everyday on that machine, plus running 3d modeling programs, photoshop, among other graphic demanding programs.
Recently I noticed that my mac dropps its framerates after just 2 minutes gametime (graphic demanding time). After that it stays that way until I restart the machine.
Its really frustrating. I have tried a series of things like, installing maintanence programs which "repair the user's Permissions", after that I repaired any HardDrive errors, and freed unused space. This caused to have temporarily repaired the low frame rate issue, nevertheless after about 2 or 3 weeks, the problem returned and this time what I did seemed to have had no effect.
Now I have formatted my machine, uninstalled Mountain Lion, and reinstalled SnowLeopard (which was the OS that came with the product), and tried again by testing it with the same game I played before and the problem still persisted. Now I have absolutely no idea what to do.
Can someone please help me?
The game I tested it with is Riot's, League of Legends open Beta for mac. Has anyone had any similar experiences with that game? Could it be the game or my mac? Although I've played that game about 3 months without a problem until now, so I really doubt that it is the game's fault.

Im wondering that you have done a BIOS update if you had no problems before
I can only imagine that a BIOS setting is different now. So I would recommend loading the default settings in BIOS, then save & exit.
Also try updating your display driver. You can find the latest version on official Toshiba page too.

We do have very specific requirement which SAP doesn`t recommend in terms of multi-sessioning for a user.So we are little worried upon the challeges.Could you please share your ideas/Experience on following?
1.How to Control number of Internet explorer session for the web UI (may be 2 or 3).?
Though SAP doesn`t recommned more than one but our client requires 2 or more than that but we need to fix it either
2 or 3.
So we are looking for specific setting for this.
2.What are the challenges we need to face if we implement option 1?
3.Specially in interaction record management
    a. Is there chance of loosing the data if agent has opened more than two session.
    b. In which session interaction record data will get stored,the one on which agent picked up the call or in the latest
        one?
Please let me know if I am not clear enough on any point.

Can I use my iPhone or iPad as a web cam for my PC via the USB connection?

I've seen quite a few Apps for doing this wireless, most of which a very poorly executed OR don't work at all. I'm just wondering why it hasn't been more popular to do this via the USB connectivity.

Thanks Lawrence but the point is, I already own the $600 dollar device (given as a gift) and secondly because to purchase a web cam that has the same quality as the iPhone is actually just a bit more than $10 and I'm not really desirous to spend anymore money based on my budget. SLD is not down its in active , I checked SLD url and Technical system also
Its in active , but when the problem is happend they done restart
but many times its happening every time restart is not preferrable ,upto that one is production system.
SLD is in active , but why the JCO'S ARE DISABLE under content Admin
where we can search the SLD user , we checked in SU01 but the user didn't exist there
If user is lock in the sense after the restart again it's working fine
I want to know the Root cause , why bcz it's simultaniously happend.

Enterprise web parts for Standard users

Hi,
We have scenario where a customer does not currently have budget to provide all users with Enterprise CALs, and thus we have this question...
In their SharePoint Online environment, if you have a user with an Enterprise (E3) CAL build a page with a bunch of enterprise web parts, such as content search web parts, will a user with a Standard (E1) CAL be able to see that content?
I haven't been able to find any information like this on the web yet, so if you have any information I would greatly appreciate it.

Whilst I appreciate your responding - I do not think this helps with what I was enquiring (at least not without further explanations anyways).
I am aware of, and do use, the function - System Preferences > Keyboard > Text - for various replacements like (tm), (c), etc .... and also for fractions like 1/2, 1/4, 1/3.
However, my question was in relation to SUPERSCRIPTS for dates / numbers - namely, superscripting numerical suffixes for things like 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,
So - please help - HOW do I set this up ? If indeed it is possible without System Preferences > Keyboard > Text ???
