Hi Shikha021,
As Hendrik said, please make sure the destination file name is valid, make sure the path is accessible.
Also please make sure the file extension matches the Excel interop library version.

MS SQL server is going down frequently(10 days of gap) with exception message: "A severe error occurred
on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded". We are facing this issue for past two month. But funny thing is server will be up automatically with out any service restart manually.  Also if we try to restart the SQL
server service manually then SQL server will be in a dead lock situation and it will not come up even if we wait for long time. Then we should do a windows server machine restart to
make the SQL sever up. As a suggestion from Microsoft to fix this kind of similar issue,
we have installed service pack 3 for SQL Server. But even after we are facing same issue.

    Hi YesYemPee,
I have tried but still not clear about your issue, I would like you provide more details information about your issue based on below points to better analysis about the issue:
What action did you do and caused the error "A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded", did you run report on the web application or something else then the error happen?
If you rendering the report and got the error, please try to provide us more error information in the log files which path like:

    Hi Experts,
I am getting below error when Exporting data from my one web application to the Excel 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2 ,
    02/29/2012 18:54:50
    Type : System.Exception, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b11a5c481859e569
Message : -2146827284Microsoft Excel cannot open or save any more documents because there is not enough available memory or disk space.
    • To make more memory available, close workbooks or programs you no longer need.
    • To free disk space, delete files you no longer need from the disk you are saving to.
The disk space is 30 GB free, I have cleared all the temp files, increased the virtual memory & internet temp files size to max but no luck

You want to use this one here - MMC
    comexp.msc /32
THAT will launch the MMC process
as 32 bit then you'll the Microsoft Excel Application.
    Right Click -> Properties.
What I did at this point was to select the Identity tab and then select "The Interactive User" (the default was "The launching user").  My app pool was already running as "LocalSystem".  I believe by running it as the Interactive User now that it
has the right permissions to save workbooks.
    Everything worked after this.
    This was a tough one!

  • "Could not complete the Save As command because there is not enough memory (RAM)"

I'm trying to save a file and an error keeps popping up saying ""Could not complete the Save As command because there is not enough memory (RAM)". I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. I have no other windows open. I checked the RAM allocated to Photoshop, in the Preferences > Performance tab, and I have tried it at 60% (980 MB) and 90% (1483 MB), still with no luck. I tried Purging the undo, clipboard and history with no help either.
I read a couple of other posts that were similar to this and people suggested " resetting the preferences as described in the FAQ." but is there any way to do this without closing Photoshop?
I can't loose this file, so any help woudl be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear it locked up on you, and with only a GIF saved (which is probably useless).  Perhaps I should have suggested Select All / Copy first.
As far as what went wrong...  It might be helpful to know some of the specifics:
What operating system are you running?
Do you see any errors in the Windows error logs corresponding in time to this problem, and if so, what are the specifics?
Do you have Photoshop updated to 12.0.3?
What video card do you have, and do you have updated video drivers?
Is OpenGL enabled in Edit - Preferences - Performance?
What kinds of operations did you do since you started the session of Photoshop that ultimately went bad?
What other applications were you running?
What kind of computer is it (specifically, can you install more RAM)?
It might not be possible to pinpoint just what went wrong, but perhaps we could make some general suggestions that might help.

  • Internal Excel Error

    Hello:
    I'm working with excel 2007 and Essbase 9.3.1 Add-in.
I've an excel 2007 sheet that, when I try to retrieve data (already connected or not), the following message appears:
"Essbase has encountered an internal excel error. Your sheet will not be overwritten and none of your data will be lost. However, you are strongly urged to exit Excel and restart in order to clear up the problem".
But restanting excel don't clear up the problem. If I save the excel sheet as excel 2003, then the problem doesn't apperar.
    Does anyone knows what's happening?
    Thanks in advance and regards,

  • Error: Could not save "file name" because the file name was not valid. (PS CS6 + WIN 7)

I have recently purchased a new desktop under WIN 7 as well as Adobe Creative Suite CS6.
My first internal hard disk is 2 TB, the second one installed is from my old PC, 250 GB.
I am getting this error when trying to save a file over an existing file using the “Save” command.
The message is wrong, because the file name IS valid.
    This error is persistent.
This error does not occur when doing the same action on my second internal hard disk.
This error happens on files larger than about 1MB in weight.
What happens is that the original file over which I try to do the ”Save” command gets corrupted and lost.
If I don't use the “Save as” command to save my work under a different name, my work is lost.
The same problem occurs with both PS CS6 versions, 64 Bit and 32 Bit.
I am very disappointed and annoyed with this happening.
Any idea what is going on here?

    ok ...
I think I have resolved this.
I forgot to mention that I have Sugarsync over that file structure.
However, I do not know if Sugarsync has anything to do with the error.
I copied the whole folder structure under a newly created folder, and I am no longer getting the error.
    Thanks

  • [SOLVED] Alpine - Error sending: No default posting command

Hi, I have installed the Alpine mail client yesterday, and it all works nicely, except I can't send mail. Everytime I try I get this message:
Error sending: No default posting command
I have tried googling around, and from what I understand Alpine uses sendmail by default, but I haven't got it installed, nor I can find it in the repos. Is there any way I can change this? And what can I use to send mail?
    Thanks.

I haven't dug it enough yet, and I'm not sure that this is possible, even though Alpine is very customisable as far as I can see.
I'll let you know if I find anything

  • A server error occurred on the current command. the results if any should be discarded in SQL 2008 R2

    Hi,
I am using SQL server 2008 R2 and also MultipleActiveResultSet = true and Pooling = true (default value) in connection string.
While executing query 'IF ORIGINAL_LOGIN() = SUSER_SNAME() EXECUTE AS USER = 'MyUser'', I received error stating  'A server error occurred on the current command. the results if any should be discarded'. At the same time I could check that SqlConnection
    state is also closed.
I have also fired 'REVERT' query If I find such exception and again try to execute same query again. but no luck. I received the same exception while executing query (Execute As) again.
What can be the solution to avoid such exception and make my code working?
    Thanks,

Login failed for user 'sa'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.
Above issue occurs genrally when authentication mode is set to Windows Authentication insted Mixed Mode.
You can change the authentication mode of the SQL server from “Windows Authentication Mode (Windows Authentication)” to “Mixed Mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication)”.
Run following script in SQL Analyzer to change the authentication
    LOGIN sa ENABLE
    GO
ALTER LOGIN sa WITH PASSWORD = '<password>'

  • A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded(Not Always)

We have a DotNet website which is deployed on a physical server(windows server 2008 r2). The application is started to using for live. Most of the time application is  working fine. But some times we have noticed the application is failed to communicate
with MS SQL 2008 R2 database and as result the below error is displaying:
"A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection, Action`1 wrapCloseInAction) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject

If we tried to connect the database server the same issue is showing:"A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded"
The issue will be resolved automatically after 30-45 minutes .   Please let us know if any fixes can be done to resolve this issue.
NOTE: We have installed SQL Server 2008 service pack 3 as per the suggestion from experts .But still the issue pwersist.

    Hello,
When this issue occurs have you check the existing connections? If an app was unclean developed it can happen that the app opens connection by connection, but never closed them correctly and when all available connections are in use, such an error can occur.

  • A severe error occurred on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded.

I have a strange situation on a database, which are on SQL Server 2008 R2 Express SP2. The database size is something around 90 MB.
When a user try to insert a record inside one table, he receive an error message,  and the program is disconnected from the database. I tried to investigate this issue, and I discovered that when user try to insert one row  the trigger for
insert invoke also the trigger for update and sql server crushes with "A severe error occurred on the current command.  The results, if any, should be discarded."
I have checked from SQL Server Management Studio to run a direct Update on the specific table. The same error occurred.
I have run DBCC CheckTable and no errors have been found. I also have run DBCC CHECKDB and no errors.
Because I also have 3 other different databases, with the same functionality, on the same server which are going well with more than 100 000 records in that specific table, and the triggers are going well for more than 5 years, I have assumed that some
problems occurs inside the database. That is why I have copied all the records from the "damage" database to a new one. This means that inside the new databases the indexes are regenerated and a new space will be allocated.
The same strange things are happening. The same table can not be updated with a very basic Update statement.
I am looking for a patch or KB to solve this issues.
Any ideas are will be appreciated.
    Thank you

  • Saving 0% 'Could not complete the save as command...'

    Hi,
    I keep running into this issue on my Mac Pro (Mountain Lion 10.8.4 - 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 16GB 1066 MHz DDR3 - 2013) in Photoshop CS6 13.0.5.
I have just finished working on a file and saved the .PSD
The only problem is it appears to be stuck at 0%.
The filename in the current document photoshop tab is followed by '-Saving 0%'
If I try and save the file again via 'Save as' I get the following message:
'Could not complete the Save As command because the document is currently being saved in the bavkground. pleae try the operation again after the save has been completed'
Any ideas how I can force this to resume saving or am I about to lose hours of work?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Mike,
I have no other apps running, the only thing using CPU in Activity Monitor is Photoshop at 1%. I currently have 6GB of RAM free and 100+ GB of hard disk space. There is also 100GB free on my scratch SSD for photoshop.
What do you mean by dismount server? I'm not currently connected to any networks and have unplugged all external disks just incase.
How long will it take to 'error out'? It's been over 30 mins now
I didnt switch apps during the save, I wasn't actually doing anything else at all.
As far as I know this isnt a background save because I went to file - save as. Or do you think this has conflicted with a background save?
I also just made a new document and saved that as a .PSD without any problems. The other is still stuck at 0%.
    Thanks for your help

  • BPC - "System.Exception: System error" selecting a CV dimension in Web

    Hello,
I have a problem. In the Current view when I want to select a Dimension in the CV (CurrentView) in the Web Browser (BPC Web) for example DataSrc I cant. In the popup it gives me "No Result" and a plus with "More". When I select the plus, it gives me an popup with an system error:
    System.Exception: System error
at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.LateBinding.InternalLateCall(Object o, Type objType, String name, Object[] args, String[] paramnames, Boolean[] CopyBack, Boolean IgnoreReturn)
at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.LateBinding.LateCall(Object o, Type objType, String name, Object[] args, String[] paramnames, Boolean[] CopyBack)
at OSoft.Services.Webservice.WebInfoProxy.WebInfoProxy.GetCVInfo(String strAppSet, String strApp, String strDim, String strUName, String strStart)
The funny thing is that this error only give me in 4 dimensions. I have processed them completelly with excel menber included. I have processed it with the analysis service of the SQL Server 2005. But it says that it's "OK".
In the Excel it is OK. It shows everything OK, the dimensions show correctly.
    Please can someone help me?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Pablo Mortera.

Strange, I've never seen that before. If you can browse the CV for some dimensions, but not others, what's different about those 2 groups? Is it the secured dimensions that are problematic? Or certain dimension types? Or perhaps a dimension name that's a reserved word?
If you can't figure it out, please post here the names of the dimensions in the application. Maybe that'll jog someone's memory.
