EXCEPTION FOREIGN_LOCK, nothing done!- in CLEAN_REQREQ_UP job

I am using SRM 4.0
Whenever I create a SHC & the same is approved, the followon documents are not created. The reason being the CLEAN_REQREQ_UP is not running properly & upon execution gives a message 'EXCEPTION FOREIGN_LOCK, nothing done!'. What could be the reason? Pls advise.

Please check any long running job in the system which is more than expected and immediately cancel that job.
Again reschedule the job CLEAN_REQREQ_UP and check.
This issue has been encountered after a database refresh activity by our basis team earlier.

What King of exception handling is done in OA framework code?

Hi All,
I am not a core java person but have to do some OA framework code changes.Wanted to know what kind of exception handling is done in OAF codes?
I was looking as the seeded oracle controllers and dont see any try catch blocks.
can anyone guide me?

OAF java based framework, hence exception handling is similar to how its done in core java. I would advuce to better go through exception handling concepts of core java.

JDI Configuration - Imports finished but nothing done

Hello,
I am importing the files SAP_JTECHS, SAP_BUILDT, and SAP-JEE as per track configuration steps. We are on NW04 SP15.
I started the imports, DEV and CONS system went OK (they were running a few minutes or so) but import into the TEST system failes although it says import finished (it ran for about one second)
I checked the Repository-import, CBS-make and SDM deploy logs.
This is what is in the log files:

Hi,
The message says Import finished because the Test stage has no corresponding workspaces in DTR and buildspaces in CBS.
SDM deployment is not needed for these sca files for all stages.
Hence it is a success

How long has it been displaying the Apple logo? Does it have a progress bar underneath?
If you feel like it's been that way for too long, try putting the iPad in Recovery Mode:
Leave it plugged into the computer. Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears. At that point, release the power button but continue holding the home button until iTunes on your computer says "iTunes has detected a device in Recovery Mode." Then click "Restore" in iTunes.

The fragment contains a lot of TextFields (read only) and static texts, everyone having their own style. There's one hidden field. Nothing more.
The values of the texfields and the hiddenfield are set dynamically
I guess that a property of a component is not set, or smtn like that.
The exception happens only when I press a button which returns to the same page (no other action taken).
I am using JSCreator 2.1 with bundled server.

I didn't know what was "not set" and where... But as
soon as I posted this message I realized, that "<not
set>" is Creator's way to say that something is NOT
SET. So I searched through the sourcecodes and found
out, that for some reason, there is a value "<not
set>" in the style property of one of the
statictexts.

Don't want jobs with a past date to run on Database import

I can't get a good straight answer from our DBA on how to accomplish what I need. Here is the scenario...
I have a number of scheduled jobs in our Oracle 9i installation that run each night from 12:00 a.m. on. Over the past few months we have had some infrastructure issues that caused corruption in the Oracle databases and necessitated a restore from backup. Sometimes a full import from a dmp file. My problem is that if the database had been down before and after the scheduled jobs Oracle sees that there is a job that needed to be run in the past but has not yet run. So, when the database is brought back up all of those latent jobs run immediately.
The problem is that I don't want them to run when the database is recovered and need to control this process manually.
What is the best way to bring Oracle back up and flag it to not run any jobs that were scheduled in the past?

Easy.
Set job_queue_processes to 0 before doing the import. After the import, delete jobs you don't want (or change their next run date using dbms_job). Then set job_queue_processes back to the value you want.
The fact that the DBA team considers an export as a backup is probably the reason you couldn't get an answer to this simple question. That is a topic for another thread.

How to avoid error message re: an exception that I don't care about

I written a script that allows a user to click on a thumbnail image and then the script will change the html in order to play a particular video. It works, except that it throws some kind of error and I don' t know what it is. Since it works, I don't care what it is, but I would like to catch it. The popup error window says "An error occurred inside a plug-in contained on this page." Any ideas on what the error might be? Below is my code.

Java Exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError -while accessing Job Code Table

Recently we upgraded tools from 8.51.03 to 8.52.12
when try to open data from below navigation.
Set Up HRMS--> Foundation Tables--> Job Attributes---> Job Code Table
then getting below error. Seriously doubt if a jar file is missing in PS_APP_HOME/class. Any clue?

Not sure about 8.52, but in 8.51, I found the PeopleSoft.PeopleCode.Func class in PS_HOME/appserv/classes/peoplecode.jar, and CLASSPATH gets set to PS_HOME/appserv/classes by psconfig.sh
Not an answer, but it might give you some ideas on where to look.

Multiple constraints cause exception and I don't understand why;

Hi:
I am using a 10.2.0.3 DB to look at some code that to the best of my knowledge works in 8i. The combination of constraints they put on the table end up preventing a user from inserting records in 10g due to a constraint violation.
Caveats: NOT MY CODE! They are using CHAR strings for times. Yes it's scary. Yes it's a problem in its own right. NOT the problem I care about right now. I care about the bigger question of why do the two constraints that (to me) appear to be non-conflicting cause a violation.
Here's the code to recreate the situation:

This may be correct, it may be a bug. I don't know. I just want to understand it. Does anyone know why this violation is being thrown?

That means, that the Item you want to append is already append in another Container (or Form, generally Displayable). Is it possible, that you tried something like this?

VerifyClient() throws exception that I don't understand...

I got the following exception but I have no idea what I did
wrong.

The error occuried in XXX.cfm line x
(where x is the line I have <cfset
verifyClient()>
Any idea what does this mean? Valid login? I use my own login
mechanism. I tried cfloginuser, but it won't work either. I have
already set this.sessionManagement = true in Application.cfc, the
only prereq. of calling verfiyClient()...
