Exception has occurred during data insertion ... Wrong number of parameters
I am using an ADO dataflow source and an ADO dataflow destination to move data from a table on an IBM iSeries DB2 database to another IBM iSeries DB2 database on another machine. The connection managers for source and destination both use .Net Providers\Odbc
Data Provider with the Data Source Specification being ODBC connections specified on the Windows Server 2008 r2 machine hosting bids. All the test connections work...so far so good.
Issue is when I execute the control flow task the rows get picked up from the source DB2 database no problem but it fails on the insert to the destination DB2 table...The progress tab specifies the exceptions...
[ADO NET Destination [601]] Error: An exception has occurred during data insertion, the message returned from the provider is: ERROR [07002] [IBM][System i Access ODBC Driver]Wrong number of parameters.
[SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PROCESSINPUTFAILED. The ProcessInput method on component "ADO NET Destination" (601) failed with error code 0xC020844B while processing input "ADO NET Destination Input" (604). The identified
component returned an error from the ProcessInput method. The error is specific to the component, but the error is fatal and will cause the Data Flow task to stop running. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the
failure.
I put a data viewer on the data flow connection and the records I expect are getting picked up and look ok. I checked to make sure the source and destination tables have the same number of columns in their record layout and identical data
types and they look fine.
Could someone kindly tell me whats going wrong? Does the error message indicate that some of the columns are getting dropped from the dataset before the insert?
Thanks much in advance for any help, Roscoe
Hi Roscoe,
Glad to hear that you have found the root cause. So, the issue occurs because numeric values with no decimal cannot be inserted into the Decimal data type column in the DB2 table. In SSIS, data type Decimal of DB2 database is mapped to data type DT_NUMERIC.
To address the issue, you can do a data conversion for the column in question to define its precision and scale such as DT_NUMERIC(9,2) by using the Data Conversion Transformation before the ADO NET Destination.

I'm encountering this error and not sure how to fix, I'm quite new to vCenter so please bear with me.
I'm trying out vCenter 5.1 with Update Manager 5.1 right now. No license key has been entered and I still have 50 odd days to try it out.
2 ESXi hosts are being managed by this vCenter, and they're both running ESXi 4.0
I'm looking to use Update Manager to try to upgrade the ESXi 4.0 hosts to ESXi 5.1
I downloaded the image file VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso from VMWare website, and is looking to import it using the Update Manager so I can update the ESXi hosts, but I keep on getting the error:
File name: VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso
Failed to transfer data
Error was: A web exception has occurred during file upload
I tried importing it by using vSphere client to connect to vCenter server both remotely and locally, with firewall disabled.
I've read http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1026602
I've disabled firewall, and there is no anti-virus program on the server. I've also restarted the machine several times, to no avail, I didn't reinstall update manager because the whole Windows and VCenter installations are clean from scratch.
I logged into the vSphere Client using Active Directory credentials, and I've made all Domain Admins (which my account is a member of) part of the administrator group on the vCenter server. I can't log in using admin@System-Domain because it tells me I don't have permissions for it, I still haven't really had the chance to figure out why that is and not sure if that makes a difference.
Also, I'm fairly certain I'm using the right image file, as I've burned some DVD's used that image file to upgrade some other ESXi hosts. Unless there's a special image file I need to download?
I'm at lost on what I can do to make it work. Please advise.
Thanks.The ISO file you mentioned is the one for vCenter Server. What you need is the "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0-799733.x86_64.iso" (or VMware-VMvisor-Installer-201210001-838463.x86_64.iso) for the ESXi host.

Thanks!Try adding the NETWORK SERVICE account to the following local groups on the Edge server:
RTC Component Local
RTC Local Administrators
Then restart the System Center Management service.
This fixed it for me. If you look at the membership of the equivalent local groups on a Lync Server 2013 Front End you'll see that these groups contain the NETWORK SERVICE account. Looks to be an oversight by MSFT.

Thanks, Saraswathy KumaraveluHi All,
I encountered this same issue today after installing CRM 2011.
CRM 2011 on Server A
SQL and SSRS 2008 R2 on Server B
I found that I got the same errors described here when running the standard reports even after I had installed the Reporting Extension (CRM 2011 replacement for CRM 4.0 Data Connector). The reason I got the error was because the 'Data Source Type' had not
been updated in Report Manager.
Here's how I resolved:
1. Browse to Report Manager (http://SERVERB/Reports)
2. Open the Organisation_MSCRM folder
3. Click Show Details
4. Open the MSCRM_DataSource
5. Change the Data Source Type from Microsoft SQL Server
to Microsoft Dynamics CRM SQL
*Note: - This option is only available once Reporting Extension has been installed on SSRS Server.
6. Clear the contents of the Connection String box
7. Set the Connect Using: option to Credentials Supplied by user running the report
but do NOT check the
Use as Windows Credentials when connecting to the DataSource option.
8. Click Apply
9. Restart the SQL Reporting Services Service in
Reporting Services Configuration Manager
10. Test by running one of the Standard CRM Reports (e.g. User Summary)
Ta Da!! - Success!!
Hope this helps! -
Why 'wrong number of parameters' error in this call to a stored procedure?
A stored procedure exists that inserts a new record and returns the newly generated record ID. This stored procedure is called from a WinForms application but at the ExecuteNonQuery time an exception is thrown indicating that the wrong number of parameters
has been supplied. If I take out the one parameter that is marked as ParameterDirection.Output then the ExecuteNonQuery does not throw an exception.
CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[API_InsertIntoManu]
@Name nvarchar(50),
@Description nvarchar(2000)
AS
SET NOCOUNT ON
INSERT INTO Manu (
[Name],
[Description]
VALUES (
@Name,
@Description
SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() As InsertedID
END
GO
The C# code that calls the above SP looks like this:
using (SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection( "<snipped>" ))
using (SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand( "[dbo].[API_InsertIntoManu]", conn ))
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
cmd.Parameters.Add( Name, SqlDbType.NVarChar, 50 ).Value = "some name";
cmd.Parameters.Add( Title, SqlDbType.NVarChar, 200 ).Value = "some title";
// This parameter is supposed to receive the new row's ID but instead triggers a 'wrong number of args' exception.
cmd.Parameters.Add( "InsertedID",SqlDbType.Int ).Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
conn.Open();
// This is where the exception gets thrown.
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
iReturn = (int)cmd.Parameters[InsertedID].Value;
Richard Lewis HaggardIn you sp the size of Title var is 2000 and not 200, correct this:
cmd.Parameters.Add( "@Title", SqlDbType.NVarChar, 200 ).Value

Does anybody know how to fix this ?Mark,
I used the Fix It found here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501
I would have to ask my IT support person for more specifics, but as I understand the scenario with my particular laptop: the laptop came preloaded with RTM build of 2013. We used Control Panel to uninstall Office 2013, in order to install Office
2010. I installed PowerPivot add-in and used it successfully with no issues for several months. After attempting to install another program and encountering issues with apparent traces left behind of Office 2013 uninstall, I found the link above
and used the Fix It to attempt to remove all remaining traces of Office 2013. While it did appear to find and clean-up quite a bit left behind from the Office 2013 install, I was surprised to find an error upon entering my existing installation
of PowerPivot for 2010 and attempting to type new formulas into the formula bar.
My experience to-date is that an error message stating ""Return Argument Has an Invalid Type" appears anytime I select or modify a formula in the formula bar that would cause the intellisense to appear. For example, when I first click into the formula
bar, I do not get an error...but as soon as I type the first letter, before the intellisense appears, I get the error message. Throughout the remainder of the formula as I type, just prior to any time when the intellisense drop-down will appear
again, I get the same error message again (see details below).
At one time, although I can't reproduce it now, the error message did state ".Net Framework" in the menu bar of the error pop-up window. I can't get that to appear again, as it now only says "PowerPivot for Excel". Based on this, I had attempted
to see if I could repair my .NET framework install using the following tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135
I learned, however, that since I am running Windows 8 which comes with .NET 4.5 built-in to the OS, this tool does not yet cover that version for repair.
While the overall end-result of my PowerPivot models appear to be just the same, having to click through "Continue" on the error message multiple times each time I enter a new formula is a huge drain on productivity.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
David

I'd like to know whether you configured TFS reporting service properly, and if you can get the report normally before. From the error message, you might has wrong data source or the parameters of the dataset 'dsPriority'. You can check whether the data source
for your report is available, try to use windows authentication. Or check the parameters of dataset 'dsPriority' make sure the query works when you execute it manually.
To process the TFS data warehouse and analysis services cube, I'd like to know which operation you selected before clicking Invoke button. Please follow the instructions on this
page to process TFS data warehouse and analysis service cube manually. You can also refer the James's last reply in this
thread or this
blog to check if the solutions work for you.
Another option is run TFS best practice analyzer to check if there any configure issues on your TFS server machine. And check event logs to see if there any useful information, elaborate more details about your scenario including reproduce steps if the problem
persists.

Greetings,
We seem to be having a problem with some users who are attempting to send e-mails from within the organisation to an external domain. Not all users are affected, and not all outgoing e-mails have this issue.
Some e-mails get stuck in the submission queue. This is the error message in Last Error : "A storage transient failure has occurred during content conversion."
Days later, the internal user who send the message gets a #550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired ## NDR.
We did have some initial configuration issues, but these were fixed more than a week ago :
- The external FQDN during EHLO was set to the wrong address, now pointing to the correct one.
- SPF record was updated with new IP adress.
Here is some additional information on the issue :
- Not on any blacklists - checked using dnsbl.info
- Telnet to remote servers works from exchange server, connections are accepted and can send mail.
- Outbound SMTP test ran using Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyser : Passed with both External (Static) and Smarthost IP.
- This seems to happen only with emails that have an attachment and that are transfered, but only for the affected users.
- If content from these e-mails is manually copied over to a new email, email is sent to destination without problem.
Configuration information :
- Exchange 2013 running on Windows 2012 Datacenter with all latest updates.
- Outgoing e-mail is sent via smarthost. Only one outbound transport rule is active.
- Using internal DNS server.
- There is only one mailbox database.

Within your organization I'm prety sure that messages will use TNEF.
What does the message contain at the external recipient's side?

If you can, try creating a mail-enabed Contact for one of the external
recipients and set the message format on that.

Have you tried UNsetting TNEF on the remote domain?
Set-RemoteDomain Default -TNEFEnabled $null
That should leave it up to the client to determine the format. It's
probably not what you're after, but see it makes a difference in the
format.

I guess your problem is you have code in your constructor.
A prameterless constructor of a view will be called by the designer.
This is probably trying to use things which aren't there at design time.
You can mock them or just exit out the constructor if you're in the designer.
public YourUserControlConstructor()
InitializeComponent();
if (DesignerProperties.GetIsInDesignMode(this)
return;
// Dependent code which produces errors

Symptom:
When you view a report with SCCM, you may encounter the following error message:
An error has occurred during report processing.
Under the details box, you can see the detailed error information as below:
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended
execution account. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.LogonFailedException:
Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The user name or password is incorrect

Figure 1 is the screenshot of the error message in SCCM:
Figure 1.
Cause:
According to the detailed error message, it indicates that “The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account.”
and “The user name or password is incorrect”, so this issue would be caused by the mismatched credential stored in report server.
Solution:
To solve this issue, you can follow the steps below:
1.
Access Report Manager URL on your reporting server.
From figure 2, you can see that the URL for Report Manager is
http://SCCM:80/Reports
in our lab environment. You can check your Report Manager URL in Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Figure 2.
2.
Find out the date source {5C6358F2-4BB6-4a1b-A16E-8D96795D8602} and access it.
Figure 3.
3. Test connection (Figure 4)
You can have a test connection to check whether the credentials stored in the report server are correct or not.
Figure 4.
4.
Modify the password or choose another authentication method
If you want to change the password, please make sure that password is the same as the one that you have set for that user account in the domain.
5. Confirm connection
After you change the password, you can test connection again. From figure 5, we can see that connection created successfully.
Figure 5.
After all the steps above, there is no error message when viewing the report. (Figure 6)

Access Web Databases and SSRS
Issue:
After creating an access web database, such as Contacts Web Database in SharePoint 2010 we receive the following error when trying reports. This only happens on the Address Book, Phone Book, and Contact List reports. The Contact
Details and Printable Labels reports both work. The reports do not begin to error until data is added to the database (no errors initially).
I have duplicated this across all of our environments with the same results and get similar results when adding a Projects Web Database.

In short, SSRS 2012 installation missed a couple of config entries. You'll have to add them yourself:
Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\WebServices\Reporting\rsreportserver.config. Search for the <Data> tag and add this entry:
<Extension Name="ADS" Type="Microsoft.Office.Access.Reports.DataProcessing.AdsConnection, Microsoft.Office.Access.Server.DataServer, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=Neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" />
Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\WebServices\Reporting\rssrvpolicy.config.
Search for <NamedPermissionSets> and add this entry:
<PermissionSet

version="1"
Name="ReportExpressionsDefaultPermissionSet">
<IPermission class="SecurityPermission" version="1" Flags="Execution" />
<IPermission class="Microsoft.Office.Access.Server.Security.AccessServicesPermission, Microsoft.Office.Access.Server.Security, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" version="1.0" Flags="CalculationCallback" />

Hi,
I'm having issues with the report created using SSAS cube.
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Query execution failed for dataset 'DimUserWorkCentre'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
The Operator_Performance cube either does not exist or has not been processed.
I have searched through internet and tried all the solutions, but didn't worked for me.
SSRS services running as NETEWORK SERVICE user.
SSRS Execution running as a Different user, which is the login is used to logon ot that server. I have also verified this user has access to database. I'm using Shared DataSource(SSAS Source) for this report.
Can any one please help me.
Thank You,
Praveen.
PraveenHello,
Have you tried it to execute on report manager , Is your data source properly configured in Report Manager and your report is mapped with Datset correctly?
Have you executed the Dataset query MDX editor now?
What is the volume of data you are fetching in the report. Try it to execute in other than IE , I don't know the exact reason but some of our report with large volume of data are failing on IE , on the other hand these reports are running fine Google

“Internal error: An unexpected exception has occurred“ error message displayed when browsing a cube.
The error behaviour is quite irregular and does not occur for specific condition.
Will cumulative update 9 for SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP1) installation help to fix the issue which is provided on the below link:
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2152148)
The current version of SQL Server I am using is as below:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP1) - 10.50.2500.0 (X64) Jun 17 2011 00:54:03 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
Thanks in advance for the help!Hi Mon,
The hotfix you said is for Microsoft SQL Server 2008. So it will not work on your scenario since you are using SQL Server 2008 R2.
Based on the limited information, we cannot give you the exact reason that cause this issue. In order to narrow down this issue, you can apply the latest Service Pack and Cumulative Update as GregGalloway said. Besides, you can troubleshoot this issue by
using the Windows Event logs and msmdsrv.log.
You can access Windows Event logs via "Administrative Tools" --> "Event Viewer". SSAS error messages will appear in the application log.
The msmdsrv.log file for the SSAS instance that can be found in \log folder of the instance. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSAS10.MSSQLSERVER\OLAP\Log)
