Exception in starting managed server
I am using WLS6.0 and have the exception when starting a newly created managed server.
The admin server console prompted the attached exception messages. It seems compliant
about security?
If someone know what's wrong, please share with me.

Yes, I started both admin and managed server with 'system' user with password typed
in password.ini file.
I used the default NT script startWeblogic.cmd and startManagedWeblogic.cmd to start
them.
Command prompt 1: startWeblogic.cmd
Command prompt 2: startManagedWeblogic.cmd newServer http://localhost:7001
The exception message goes to admin server's console while no error message goes
to the managed server's console.

License file missing exception while starting managed server
Hi,
I am trying to start a managed server on the same machine as the adminstration
server. There are no problems starting the admin server but when we try to start
the managed server , we get a "Missing License File" exception. The license file
is valid for clustering also.

it.

I am getting 'Connection Refused' exception while starting the Managed Server.Attached
log has the complete trace. It was working fine till few days back and I havent
changed any configuration.

One not so good solution I ever used is to remove the managed server and reinstall/configure
it.

was working fine. Then I added some classpath parameters and now I had to restart
the managed server so that the classpath changes will be applied. Here I started
getting the following exception and the managed server is not starting at all.

node manager did not hear from the managed server in the configured timeout period.
Despite this, if the managed server has not failed, it will come up and the node
manager will start monitoring it. To adjust this timeout so that the task does
not fail prematurely, please refer to the node manager property ScavangerDelaySeconds
(Default value : 180 seconds. Current value : 180 seconds).]

(It was me and Berit that sent the original question).
After some experimentation we saw that the managed server did get
some configuration from the admin server, so the problem was in
there somewhere.
I had added an (empty) cluster and machine to the admin server, just
to test adding. When I removed them everything worked fine afterward.
So it was some kind of configuration error from our side, but we never
did find out what it was.
I guess the lesson is to only define things when you really need them :-)

NalikaI don't believe that you can use the same server definitions for both an admin server and a managed server. So, you'll need to create a second server that is your managed server with a different name or
just run with the admin server.

This is just to confirm , when you started AdminServer for first time , did you create boot.properties file yourself ? . Second are you able to log in to Admin Console using the same username/pwd ? Also are you able to start manage servers from AdminServer console ?

I am using WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.4.0. I have created one managed server thru admin console. I am starting managed server using startManagedWebLogic.cmd batch file. Chnages I made in this cmd file is added managed server name and wls userid/password.
When execute this, I get below error:

Any help is really appreciated.I could see calling to setDomainEnv.cmd script:

Can someone please helpme here..I tried same and facing below error whenever i click on any tab over the console :-
Error opening /jsp/core/server/ServersControlTable.jsp
The source of this error is:
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

How to start Managed server in Weblogic 8.1

I am Using Weblogic 8.1 server. I can able to start weblogic server by invkoing startWebLogic.sh. When I start managed server by invoking the shell startManagedWebLogic.sh it error out by following exception

I refered some forum, they ask to update <EmbeddedLDAP > tag by setting Credential="" in config.xml file. Still I get the same exception.
I have also tried in console, that too fails.

My Admin server is running fine. The msi-config.xml, SerializedSystemIni.dat, boot.properties files are in the same directory. When I exceute the command
startManagedWebLogic.sh <managed server name> it shows the same exception

Unable to start Manager server using Node Manager
Hi,
I have deployed Admin server in one of my unix machine(machine1) and i able to start my Admin server using node manager, and when i try to start my Managed server in another machine(machine2) using the node manager(that machine node manager) its throwing error;
Note: am able to start Managed server using Adminurl and able to connect to Managed server node manager successfully,
but not able to start Managed server using node manager
its giving exception as below;

Authentication Error while starting managed server ...
Hi everyone,
is there anyone to help me in avoiding the SecurityException while starting managed
server in a cluster. Weblogic version is 6.1.
I have started the admin server in a cluster and is running fine. Also cluster
is started successfully.
When I start managed server appManaged (which is also included in the cluster),
