Exception Message 30 "Plan process according to schedule"

Dears ,
In exception Message 30 "Plan process according to schedule "
What is the action should be taken by MRP Controller
Regards
Rami

The meaning of EM 30 is as below
30: Plan process according to schedule
i.e.For one of the following reasons, the (non-firmed) order proposal could not be planned on time:
- On the basis of backward scheduling, the system calculated a start date in the past. The system automatically switched to forward scheduling and planned the order proposal in the future using the in-house production time or the delivery time
- On the basis of the planning time fence and a fixing type, the order proposals are moved to the finish date of the planning time fence. With this logic, order proposals must be correctly planned manually.
The date displayed is the date on which the receipt is to be available for materials planning. This contains the goods receipt processing time. If this is not equal to zero, the necessary goods receipt date is also displayed for information purposes.
Hence the exception is displayed in the MRP list along with the rescheduling date.Hence MRP controller need to manullay reschedule the order as per the rescheduling date given in the rescheduling column in MRP list in MD05. If you cannot reschedule practically, then you need to talk to the concern so that requirement date can be postponed to match the rescheduled dates.
Example requirement date - 30.08.2008 for 100 qty
after running MRP the planned order date given is 25.09.2008
against which system will show maessage 30 with reschdule date as 30.08.2008 as it is required on 30.08.2008.
Now how system behavious is as below
the planned delivery days for this item is say 30 days.
Hence from 30.08.2008 system does backward scheduling and reaches today i.e. 24.08.2008 and then go for forward scheduling to give the date as 24.08.2008+30 cal days i.e 25.09.2008 and displyes the EM as 30 with rescheduling date as 30.08.2008. Hence it is upto MRP controller whether he will convince purchase dept to get the material with in 30.08.2008 or ask the production people to wait till 25.09.2008.
I hope you understood, if not com beack.

This is about the exception message 30 which is displayed in MD04 and the rescheduling date. How is this date determined and what does the exception message signify. Further, it would be great if i can get any link on forward/backward scheduling and how the system determines the dates? Also, what is the criteria for this rescheduling date to be displayed in MD04?

    Hi,
Exception Message 30 - Plan process according to schedule
say , if there is a PIR on 02.7.08 and a planned order to cover this reqmt is generated with Ord finish date as 05.7.08 , system will now throw an Exception Message - 30 with the rescheduling date as 02.07.08 to complete the order on the same day as that of the requirement say 02.07.08.

  • MRP Exception messages difference

    Hi PP Gurus
I need to understand the exact difference between few exception messages
MRP Exception message 6 - Start date of supply proposal is in past
MRP Exception message 7 - Finish date of supply proposal is in past
Query : Does it means that if start date is in past & finish date is in future , then only EM6 will appear .If both are in past , then EM7 will appear ???
MRP Exception message 10 - This is meant for Rescheduling IN i.e. if the supply proposal finish date is later than reqt date
MRP Exception message 15 - This is meant for Rescheduling OUT in i.e. if the supply proposal finish date is eariler than reqt date
MRP Exception message 30 - Plan process according to schedule i.e. pull or push the supply proposal as per reqd date
    It looks to me that
EM30 is same as EM10 & EM15 since the former also suggests to pull or push as the latter two does .Then what is the exact  difference between these
    rgds
    sandeep

1- I'm not sure, but could be.
2- Difference between 10, 15 and 30 is that 10 and 15 are for firmed elements (like production order or purchase order); 30 is for planned order (or other NOT FIRMED element) that cannot be properly planned because of LT problems.

  • Regarding Exception Messages in MD04

    Hi Gurus,
Can any body explain what's the main scenario where we get 'Exception message 30' i.e. Plan the process according to Schedule?
Is there any standard report which will display all the firmed planned/prod.ord based on MRP controller?
Helpful answers will be rewarded with points,
    Thanks,
    Sekhar

    Hi,
If your order start date  of the planned order lies in past and the order start date in past indicator  is not allowed in OPPQ the system automatically switches to forward scheduling taking todays date starting date of the planned order. In this case the system issues a exception message 30 Plan process according to schedule.
    System Current Date : 14.07.2007
    Reqmts date             : 01.07.2007
Planned order start date : 14.07.2007 with exception message 30 .
If order start date in the past indicator is not allowed during MRP Run the system creates planned order on 14.07.2007 with exception message 30 plan process according to schedule since your reqmt date is 01.07.2007.
If the order start date in the past indicator is allowed in OPPQ during MRP run
the system creates planned orders on 01.07.2007since the reqmts date is 01.07.2007.

  • Different Exception messages in MRP list & Stock Requirement List

    Hello Experts,
When I run MRP and then look at the stock Requirement List & MRP list for the same material, I see different exception messages in these list.
I noticed that any of the exception messages in Exception group "7 - Exception during rescheduling" (ie, 10-reschedule in; 15-Reschedule Out; 20-cancel process; 30-plan process according to schedule) is not appearing in the stock requirement list even though they appear in the MRP list.
Does any configuration affect what message group can appear in Stock Requirement List & MRP list?
    Please advice.
    Regards
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
For exception message - 62, just do the below checks -
Some of the reasons as to why you may find this exception message is because the backward scheduling can drive the start date in the past so far that:
    - there is no valid BOM as of that date
    - one or more of the work centers are not valid on that date
    - there is no valid factory calendar on that date
Check the scheduling formulas in your work centers that are set up, and/or to specify for the material master a fixed lot or a max lot size so that planned orders result with realistic lot sizes.
Also you can set up MRP to only run on basic dates for your overall run, and to follow up with an MRP run which generates capacity planning only within the planning horizon, such as NETPL.  You would need to configure the planning horizon so that it specifies a time frame over which capacity planning is to be done.
Also check the note : 88505 - Planned order upload generates exception message 62
In short, do a thorough check of the parameters maintained to ensure there is no inconsistency in the master data.
    Check & revert.

    Vivek

  • MRP Exception Message - Difference between 30 & 10

    Hi team,
I have executed MRP in my R/3 system & below exception message "30 - Plan process according to schedule".
I was expecting that, the system will raise the exception message "10- Bring process forward". But system raised exception 30. Why did not the exception 10 is not raised. In what situation, the exception 10 will be raised?
    Thanks

    Hi Rajen,
OK. Thank u for the info. Hence the exception 30 is only for planned receipts which is not firmed. In my above screen shot, if i have maintained the MRP type as PD & planning time fence as BLANK in material master, the EM 30 would not have been raised & automatically the planned order end date as 2014.09.01. Since i have maintained the planning time fence in material master, the EM 30 is raised for planned orders (which is not firmed). Is this right?
    Thanks

  • Exception message 30 & Reschedule date

    Hi All,
This is about the exception message 30 which is displayed in MD04 and the rescheduling date. How is this date determined and what does the exception message signify. how the system determines this dates? Also, what is the criteria for this rescheduling date to be displayed in MD04?
    For Ex
Material XYZ , MRP Type : PD, Lot size :Monthly,PIR is 100 for march, After MRP run I am getting reqmnt date is on 1st April. Reschedule dt is 02-March, Expn Msg is 30. Inhouse production is 1 day & GR time is 2 days.
Please let me know how system arrives on 2 march as rescheduled date & what does it mean?
    Thanks and regards,
    Kundan Kumar

    Dear,
Within this rescheduling horizon, the net requirements calculation checks whether, after a requirement, a firmed receipt exists, which can be used to cover this requirement. Then the system displays a rescheduling date as well as the exception message Bring process forward for this receipt. The net requirements calculation then uses this receipt and the system will only create another procurement proposal if the receipt quantity is not sufficient to cover the complete requirement. Several firmed receipts can be used to cover one requirement.
The rescheduling horizon is always calculated from the MRP date.
    Please refer this link,
    [Exception message 30 |exception 30]
Have you assigned a range of coverage profile to the material?

  • Exception Messages Report / List

I have been unable to locate an exception messages report, either for production orders, requisitions, or purchase orders. I am looking for a report that will contain all of the exception mesages.
Ideally, the output would be something like:
    1.   WBS element (project)
    2.   Material number
    3.   Material Description
    4.   Make or buy code
    5.   Recd. / Reqd. Quantity (This would be the qty affected by the exception message)
    6.   Date (e.g. date on which the material is currently expected to be received)
    7.   Purchase order or work order #
    8.   Purchase order line #
    9.   Purchasing group
    10.  MRP Controller
    11. Exception message Number
    12. Exception message Description
    13. Re-Scheduling date
    14. Various additional MM fields
I have requested the report, but I am told by my IT group that the exception messages do not reside in any table, so they cannot be retrieved, much less exported to excel, so a list of teh applicable tables/fields would also help.
I assume that this issue has been raised and solved many times, since SAP is not new and my request not unique.
    I welcome any suggestions.
    Thank you.

    HI,
Why dont you try to list the messages in SE91 and by giving the application area.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran

  • MRP exception message 64 and planning strategy group 52

    Hi Gurus,
I have done extensive search online in the forum to find the route cause why we are getting MRP exception message 64 for a specific material in one of our plants. This exception message does not occur for the same materials which is also produced in another plant.
I was just wondering whether the planning strategy group of 52 in MRP 3 view would have any effect on the frequent occurrence of exception message 64. I know that the 64 message occurs when the routing time is higher than the in house production time. If that's the case where to look for in routing to correct this, apart from this do we need to look at work centers and other details. I'm not a  PP person but still was curious to know see if i could take a shot at it.
Also the MRP settings that we follow in the plant where this problem does not occur is NETCH, Create PR - 2, Schedule lines - 3, create MRP list - 1, Planning mode - 3, scheduling -2
in the plant where the 64 message occurs quite often is Netch, Create PR -2, Schedule lines - 3, create MRP list - 1, planning mode - 1, Schdeduliing - 1
I was  thinking do MRP settings and planning strategy group would have any impact on why we are getting the 64 wexception message
Because of this 63 exception message, the downstream components are getting wrong signals.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi
Generallt, exception message "64 - Production finish after order finish" is triggered when the order start date is in the past and system automatically changes to forward scheduling to calculate the finish date.
Note 1913017 explains how the order basic date is calculated and adjusted in case of forward scheduling, however, you are using strategy 52 and this is a very special scenario, whever VP planned orders are generated.
The VP planned orders will always be adjusted to the requirements date even if the requirements date is in the past. This is a special feature in the planning segment, since these orders are only kind of 'virtual' planned orders. These orders only have to provide the demand requirements for the components in time.
Therefore, there is a relationship between strategy 52 (VP planned order) and the exception message observed.

  • MRP Exception message :- 40- coverage not provided by master plan

    HI ,
I have  a sales order & i run the MRP & after MRp run , the rpoduction order generate  for the componant material , the systemeis nshowing me the exception message   40- coverage not provided by master plan .
I have checked the stockes for the all componant material , there is no stock  for the componant material ?
Please help me out in this
    Piyush

    Dear,
Please refer OSS notes 550441 question no 06 for Exp message 40 Coverage not provided by master plan.
Exception message '40' resulted from the calculation of the ATP quantity in Transaction MD04.The calculation of this ATP quantity is not provided anymore in Transaction MD04  since it was not an "actual" ATP quantity as in Transaction CO09, but it was calculated according to a separate logic which did not take into account certain relevant parameters.Branching to the ATP quantities now leads to Transaction CO09 which considers all MRP elements, checking rule and scope of check. This instrument should be used now, here the previous exception message '40' is equivalent to a negative, cumulated ATP quantity. In Transaction MD04 exception messages '10' and '30' from the rescheduling check can also be used to determine receipt elements that are not covered.

  • Sender Mail Adapter Error: exception caught during processing mail message;

HI , I am configuring mail to file scenario. Need to read mail content (no need to capture From,TO or Subject details) and create a file with the content in the mail.
Need to read mails from microsoft outlook. Exchange server has been configured for POP3 protocol.
Following are the details provoding in sender mail adapter:
URL: provided url in the format: pop://<server name>
    Authentication method: plain
provided user credinetions to access mails.
    poll interval - 1min
    content encoding none.
processing parameters : quality of service-exactly once
Since there is no need to capture From,TO or Subject details, didn't select the option - use mail package.
Verified for unread mails in the mail box and made sure that there are few unread mails.
Also, created data types and other components in IR and completed mapping.
But after starting sender mail communication channel, getting error "exception caught during processing mail message; java.lang.NullPointerException" in RWB-adapter-communication channel monitoring.
please let me know what needs to be done to resolve this error.
    Thanks.

HI Stefan, i tried, but still it is giving same error. Yes, i am able to access outlook mail with the user credentials given in the communication channel to access exchange server.
I am using message protocol: xipayload . Also since i dont have to capture TO,from, subject details., created data type just with one element of type string, not in the standard format .Does this makes any difference.

  • Background Processing? how schedule job for "System Error" Message .

    Hello everyone,
in sap help i have read.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5a/f72040599a8f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    PCK> Monitoring>Message Monitoring-->Background Processing
you can schedule jobs for various background processing:
    ●     Archiving of messages processed successfully
    ●     Deletion of messages that are not to be archived
    ●     Restarting of messages with errors
    ●     Rescheduling of lost messages
    can anyone understand this docu?
give me some introduction, how can i define and schedule these jobs ?
    thx in advance!!
    best regards
    Yaning

    Background Processing
    Prerequisites
You have started the message monitor on the initial screen of the PCK and are in Background Processing.
    Features
    Archiving
You require two archiving sessions to archive messages:
    ●     One session to write the messages to the archive
    ●     One session to delete the persisted messages that have been archived
To do this, you schedule an archiving job, which implicitly schedules the sessions to write to the archive and delete the archived messages.
You can define one or more rules for each archiving job; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be archived by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
All information that is displayed for a message in message monitoring is archived, in addition to the audit log for each message.
    Deleting
A standard delete job is created automatically. It runs once a day. You can schedule additional delete jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Restarting
Instead of restarting messages with errors manually with message monitoring, you can schedule a job to automatically restart these messages. This is possible for all messages for which the number of defined restart attempts has been exceeded (messages with the system error status).
You can define one or more rules for each job to restart messages; these rules contain conditions that a message must meet in order to be restarted by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
    Rescheduling
A standard job to reschedule messages is created automatically. The job runs once a day and ensures that messages lost as a result of database failure, for example, are rescheduled. You can schedule additional rescheduling jobs; however, you cannot define rules for them.
    Thx Aamir.
But I mean the messages with errors in Adapter Engine , not in Intergrations Engine.
the situation is like Naveen Pandrangi's WebLog
II. Errors in Adapter Engine [XI :  How to Re-Process failed XI Messages Automatically|XI :  How to Re-Process failed XI Messages Automatically]
    I
Till now we have seen how to resubmit/restart message that failed in Integration Engine.  One a message makes it from Integration Engine to Adapter Engine, the message is flagged as checked in Integration Engine. The status of the message in Adapter engine does not effect the processed state in Integration Engine. Now if this message was asynchronous, XI will by default try to restart the message 3 times at intervals of 5 minutes before the status of the message is changed from Waiting to System Error .
*how can i schedule a job to automatically restart these messages with errors?
    best regards
