Exception Message for Lower Level

Hi everyone...
I get this message:
"Exception Message for Lower Level"
after of one MD02, for my FERT Material.
This FERT material has 2 lower levels, for a couple HALBs material in the next level and other HALB material into the level 3.
I don't get the requeriments for the HALBs materials, when I select the Order Report for the PlOrd.
This 3 materials are produced since level 3 up to level 1 into the same plant, therefore I need to see the requeriment of the Level 3 to produce and then, use it for the Level 2 and till the Level 1., but I'm recieving  this message.
Thanks in advance.
OP

Hi,
Not quite understandable ur query
can u re-phrase it, anyways
as per my understanding
u are not getting plan orders for (HALB'S)
just check the stock for that HALB'S &
just execute CS11, CS12 for that header material & check
whether BOM is getting exploded or not (upto all levels)

  • MRP Type V1 - Does it create Exception Message for "Reschedule-in"?

    Hello Experts,
We are using MRP Type V1 (Which has the Manual Re-Order Planning + External Requirements). However we are facing and issue with the Rescheduling part. Scenario is as following:
    Material ROP is - 5000
Open Pur Ord is - 5000 (due in 01 June'09) based on the Std Lead time of the Material
Stok on hand is - 0
At this point a Sales Order is entered for 1000 pcs
After MRP Run, we expect an Exception Message for the Purchase Order to have "Reschedule-in". But, instead, system creates a PReq for 1000 pcs and the required date is NOT the Sales Order required Date but based on the Std Lead Time of the Material.
I have set the Material Lead time - 60 Days
I have set the Reschedule horizon - 0 Days ( I even tried with different Days but NO use)
However, when I change the MRP Type to PD, system generates a "Reschedule-in" Exception Message for the Purchase Order.
How can I get the "Reschedule-in" Exception Message for the Purchase Order with the MRP Type V1?
Thanks for your help in Advance!

    Anil,
Reorder point/External MRP performs net requirements calculation (within replenishment lead time).  If the existing firmed supply elements minus the existing requirements bring the projected stock below ROP, it will propose an order that will bring the projected stock back to reorder point.  The proposal will generally come at replenishment lead time.
In the normal business cycle, your sales order would confirm to lead time, and you now have a confirmed sales requirement at lead time, plus a new purchase req to bring the stock back to the reorder point.  The scenario you have described is working exactly as it is designed.  Consumption based MRP will not normally try to reschedule supply elements to match requirements inside of lead time.
Rescheduling horizon generally is counted from the end of lead time.  It won't help you here.
I guess if you insist on having a reschedule message, you could change your lead time to 0 days.  Not a wise move in my opinion.  You then have locked yourself in your choices of types of Sales order availability checks into one that ignores lead time.  You also have to find a way to let your buyers/planners know what the 'real' lead time is when they place their orders on the vendors.
I don't know why you are using a consumption-based planning type (reorder point).  It sounds like your business requirements are that you actually need to be using a demand-type planning method (eg, your supply elements are driven by your demand, not by a reorder point/desired stock level).  If PD works the way you want, why aren't you using it?

  • Collective Planned orders Scheduling for lower level orders with reference to the Superior order

    Hi All,
    Collective planned order scheduling.
I have been trying to reschedule the superior planned order and i was expecting the lower level planned orders to reschedule based on the superior planned order.
    My problem is
when i try to reschedule the superior planned order the system is not rescheduling the lower level planned orders.
For example if i change the basic finish date of superior planned order as 30/09/2014 and reschedule the planned order it is only scheduling the header planned order and the lower level planned order is not scheduling.
Could some one tell me why this is not happenning at planned order level.
As the rescheduling of collective order will work at production order level but for some reason it is not happening at planned order level(as there is no option available to do so).
Please give your thoughts on this asap.
    Mahee.

    Hello Mahee
Please observe that your system is working as designed. Planned orders are scheduled independently, even when they are part of a network/collective order. Note 152319 explains the planned order scheduling in detail and it provides the following information:
    * No scheduling of overall networks is executed although a directly manufactured component is assigned.
Note that no scheduling of the overall network is executed for planned orders. For the components requirements dates are determined. In order to cover them, planned orders are created in the next MRP run. Since the requirements are not managed using the exact time, the results of the planned order scheduling and of a scheduling of the overall network of the converted collective order can differ.

  • Exception message for PrdOrd and Planned order

    Hi Gurus,
It possible based on prdord and planned ord we need to get the Exception message information. It's there any standard transaction code or any sqvi report?
    Note:
    Exception Message:
    10 - Reschedule in
    20 - cancel
05 - Opening date in the past
26 - Excess in individual segment
Please find this information in MD04 (single order). i am looking for same time multple orders with exception message report.
    Thanks and regards,
    Deethya.B

    Hi
You can use MD06 with refrence to you plant and MRP Controllers. Also you can define your own traffic lights so that based on these you get your exception messages.
    Hope this helps,

  • MRP Exception message for Excess production quantity

Originally, there is a demand for a common item material A 1500
One work order is opened for this grouped demand
    Grouped Demand: 1500
    Work Order QTy: 1500
Due to a drop in demand, the demand fall to 1200
At this time, will any MRP exception raise to suggest the order to reduce the scheduled quantity to 1200?
If there is way to do so, what should I set to achieve this requirement?

I just afraid additional demand would raise by setting this coverage.
I tried to define a range of coverage profile in the system with min:0 target:0 and max:1
I set a material to use this profile and run a MRP with my above case.
But still No exception message was suggested for the case.
Is there something I am missing out?
Anyway, thanks you for your suggest.

  • Purchase Order Workflow message for previous level approver

    Hi folks!!
We are implementing PO workflow through which we want to notify the next level releaser as well as we also want to notify the previous levels releaser as well as Purchase requisition creator (if PR has been used as reference document to create PO).
I have already successfully implemented the workflow, in which next level of approver gets the notification in his/her SAP Business Workplace as soon as the PO gets approved by the previous level.
But my requirement is on final approval of PO, notification should also send back to the previous levels approver of PO and Requisition creator. How can I achieve it, please help.
    Best regards

    Hi,
A check can be made during final level of approval for which e-mail will get triggered to the previous approver and the requisitioner. you would need to provide a Logic to your developer with the message body whihc will trigger an e-mail during final approver and mail recipients will be the previous approver and the Requisitioner which can be picked from Line item in Purchase Order.

  • RS485 Serial HELP for Low-level Read Queries

    Hi,
I am trying to communication with some lab equipement (Ebara Turbopump) over rs485. Now I have a Blastronix 2 port RS485 PCI board connect with cabiling to the equipement. But when I try and use NI-VISA to communication, the read times out, which is not particularly useful information because I don't know what part of my query is wrong then.
Below, I've posted some images from their communication protocol, but I am very confused as to how to translate this into a Labview VI. So far I've tried using a String Constant with the example 8.1 (last image, with my slave ID: 001) but I get nothing. I've tried it in both ASCII and Hex with a carriage return at the end.
    Any help is very appreciated!!

Okay, I tried creating to create the string using an u8 array, but still nothing. However, I am still very new to labview and not exactly sure how to create a proper array of u8/hex. I just created different u8 constant numbers and then fed them into the build array function and then to conversion from Byte to String and then to the Write of the Serial connection.
But how would I go about validating the cable?

  • A low-level exception occurred in Importer FastMPEG

I am having serious problems with a wedding project. When I started it a few weeks ago it was all going ok when all of a sudden some of the files came up pixelated and blocky. I know the next question will be "can you post a clip here?". I will try to but it means showing the Bride and Groom's faces and as I have not yet shown them any of the video files I do not think it appropriate to do so here. In the meantime I am posting this here as I need some urgent help, as the project is getting very close to being overdue now.
    Technical stuff:
    Files from Sony HXR-MC2000E - SD MPEG files;
    Using Adobe Premiere CS6
Custom built Intel i3 3.30ghz pc
Windows 7 with Service pack installed
When i opened the project today I got an error message: "a low-level exception occurred in Importer FastMPEG". Can anyone clue me up as to what this means please. To me, it seems like it could be related as I am importing MPEGs. I have tried re-importing the original files but they still come up as pixelated.
Thanks again in advance for your help.

As well as the answering the general questions here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200840 please provide DETAILS of your computer hardware
Especially the amount of RAM and number and distribution of hard drives and your brand/model graphics adapter and driver version
    For instance... my computer
Asus P6 SE motherboard with Intel i7 930 CPU
12Gig Ram and nVidia GTX 285 to use Cusa/MPE
My 3 hard drives for video editing are configured as...
    1 - 320Gig Boot for Win7 64bit Pro and ALL program installs (2)
2 - 320Gig data for Win7 paging swap file and video project files
When I create a project on #2 drive, the various work files follow,
so my boot drive is not used for the media cache folders and files
3 - 1Terabyte data for all video files... input & output files (1)
    (1) for faster input/output with 4 drives
    - use drive 3 for all source files
    - use drive 4 for all output files
    (2) only 60Gig used, for Win7 & CS5 MC & MS Office & other smaller programs
Search Microsoft to find out how to redirect your Windows paging swap file
    http://search.microsoft.com/search.aspx?mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US
I can't help with your error (have never had that) but posting hardware details MAY help lead to a solution
Also, if you are editing HiDef footage, your i3 is VERY underpowered... you need an i7 for "smooth" HD editing... plus, of course, enough hard drives to spread the workload (minimum 2 - or 3 like I have)

  • Issue in determining Low level codes

    Hi Gurus,
We are having an issue running heuristics when running  along with Temporary low level codes. We are in SCM 7.0 environment.
The SNP Heuristics jobs are failing with this message "Low-level code
not available for product XXXXXXX at location XXXX
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE"
Also, the message in the job log  for the product in was flagged for deletion and I am not too sure why is this being picked up for processing and then failing?
I tried using SDP relevance as '1' for the product flagged for deletion for testing purposes and then the program is not considering this SKU, but stopping at another SKU and also that SKU is flagged for deletion. But the flip side of using SDP relevance is that that setting is at global level andmay have issues where the SKU is active.
    I have couple questions:
    1) Is there a way for the program to skip the code which has an error and move forward instead of failing the job? and provide a spool with error codes. Also, to provide the LLC number for all the correct SKU's instead of failing at that point and not generating the LLC's?
    2) Why is the program also considering the codes which are flagged for deletion which should not be the case?
Also, I tried another way of maintaining the codes in thevariant which are not flagged for deletion and tried running heuristics in the background but failed at a point and it gave a message stating Low-level code not available for product XXXXXXX at location XXXX,     Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
But the product which was displayed in the job log is an active SKU. I am not too sure why the job failed with this error?
I tried running that individual SKU in the background including the temporary determination of LLC, it was successful. I am not too sure why it failed when it was a part of selection?
Any suggestions, would really help us a lot.
    Thanks and regards,
    Murali

Hi Datta - Thanks for the replies. I was able to have a workaround by using selection profiles excluding the Procurement type 'P' and it worked.
At our client, whenever a product is made 'non-X0'  in ECC, procurement type is set to 'P' and by excluding that piece in the variant I was able to continue with my processing.
But still, don't you think the products which are flagged for deletion shouldn't be picked up heuristics?
    Thanks and regards,
    Murali

  • MRP Exception Message 26: Excess stock in individual segment

We would like to modify the logic relating to MRP Exception Message 26: Excess stock in individual segment to allow for a material-specific tolerance threshold, within which no exception would be generated.  An alternate approach might be to deactivate  message 26 and create a new custom exception that accomplishes the same thing.
The reason is that we fabricate and procure a large number of materials in a Make-To-Order environment, with some planned scrap at multiple levels of sub-assembly.  The result is that we often have small residual quantities of components & sub-assemblies in sales order stock when the project is complete.  Some of these may be useful on future projects so we want them to remain in stock, but we donu2019t want them to continually generate exception messages that distract our planners from the exceptions that truly need attention.
I have tried setting up a storage location that is excluded from MRP, and this works only if the material is in General Stock, but not if it is in Sales Order Stock.
If anyone knows of a way to either set up an allowed tolerance, or exclude a sales order segment from MRP, please let me know.

    DB49,
I have previously suggested just what you have indicated (ie. to move the parts back to unrestricted geneeral use stock).  My company's objection is that the materials were either produced or procured for that original sales order and that the costs for these materials are in that sales order as well.  Using a 411E transfer posting will not only move the stock, but also the cost (as if we are buying it back from the sales order).  Since there is no guarantee that we will be able to sell it again, our accounting department will not allow us to do this.
    So the bottom line is:
We do want to retain visibility to these stocks.
We don't want the cost for these stocks back on our books
If the opportunity presents itself, we want to move them to any future sales order for the same material.
We don't want the hundreds of exception messages for "excess stock in individual segment"
However we do want to see this message for actively planning sales orders that may have too much stock
There may be no way to get this, but that is the goal.

  • MRP Exception Messages

Hi Gurus , i need your help
A summary of exception messages can be viewed in MD07,
butit is only by MRP controller.  Is it possible to view all exception
messages for a plant?  Are there any plant level metrics that can show
the performance of our SAP MRP data.
    Thanks in advance .
    Points will be rewarded.

    Hi,
pls try below selection method in TCode MD06
then you will get exception message list of materails only within plant (don't enter MRP controller, enter only plant)
MD06 --> Plant --> Tab Restrict Selection --> Exception Groups --> select all group ( check box tick 1 to 8 ) --> then Excute
    it will solve your problem

  • Suppression of Re-Order Point Safety Stock Exception Messages

    Hi There!
    Hope someone can help!?
I need to be able to suppress MRP Exception Message 96 - Qty Under Safety Stock but for PD Only.
    Is this possible?
    Cheers,
    Karl

    Hi There!
We have lots of Raw materials controlled by MRP Type PD, which have Safety Stock Value.
However, quite often although the actual stock is lower than the Safety stock Planners have lots of messages (96 - Below safety stocks). However, although Purchase order reciepts may be late, there isn't actually a problem. As When the PO Reciepts actually happen there is enough stock to satisfy actual demand.
We would like to put many of these Raw materials on Re-Order Point Planning, and manage. But we would like to ignore the (96 - Below Safety Stock) for Normal Items.
Hence, Planners have exception messages for REAL Priorities.
    Hope this explains all!
    Cheers,
    Karl
