Exception message to identify orders pegged to excess

Hello,
Is there a way to identify orders (like purchase orders, purchase requisitions) that are pegged to excess, with an exception message?
Thanks,
Sash

Mangesh,
In MD07, give the plant, optional mrp controller, exception groups (check box 1-8)
You can not get only the MRP exception message that falls under group 7 as a
total.
As far as i know I dont think there's some direct T code for getting only the MRP
exception messages
Thanks,
Sankaran

    Hello,
An error message that we are getting as "Error while reading Exceptions" - Message No. /SCMB/ORDER 351 while entering a Work Order Number in the 'Work Order details' screen in the SNC Web UI. So, please let us know how to tackle this error in SNC.

    Hello Pavan,
This message can occure at multiple places. Most of these are status reading and checking in the /SCA/CL_SVORDER class. The following methods can throw this message:
    CHECK_ITEM_EXCEPTION_STATUS
You can set a BP at line 20 and debug the STATUS_CHECK function.
    GET_ITEM_EXCEPTION_STATUS
You can set a BP at line 29 and debug the STATUS_READ function.
    READ_ITEM_EXCEPTION_STATUS
You can set a BP at line 31 and debug the /scmb/cl_odm=>get3_by_id method.
I hope this will help you.

  • Exception message during planned order creation

I am coming across a situation wherein am creating a planned order for Semi-fininsh good, but the problem is that am getting an exception msg "15" against the planned order created whihc states that "Reschedule out". Can somebody tell me the significance of this message, when am reviewing the overview tree for that order am not  seeing any message for the downlevel components. Expecting a positive response.

    Hi Jitendra
    Logic behin EM 15
It means to postpone the operation i.e. reschedule out the process if the receipts lies before my requirement.
Rescheduling horizon is also linked to it. Check in OPPQ
It defines the period for bringing the reciepts inwards i.e. prepone the receipts which are required to be considered for rescheduling.
If your receipts come before your requirements system will give this EM 15.
Opposite to above is EM 10 i.e. if receipts lie after your requirements
Go the dates of your planned orders and compare it with your receipt date. U will get idea

  • Exception message 20  vs ATP

    Hi all
There are some stock transport purcahse orders availble for one material with exception message 20 in MD04. The exception message 20 means cancel the process. So is there any affect on ATP check. Could you please confirm.
    regards
    sap

    Hi
Exception message 20 means, it is not created for any dependent requirement i.e., not created for higher level material.
Might be manually created and it is excess requirement.
Exp message 20, it is a excess qty. If any dependent req. will come in future, system will consider this excess qty.
Normally exception message 20 indicates when there is excess stock available (or going to receive through some fixed receipts) after fulfilling all requirements.

  • View & Action Cross Plant MRP Exception Messages

We have a centralised storage facility and we have chosen to control all of the conversion of Planned Orders to Requsitions and then on to Stock Transfer Orders from the Supplying Plant. However we do not currently have the ability to view and action MRP Exception Messages from the Ordering Plants.
We use MD06 to action the Supplying Site MRP Exceptions but this can only look at one Plant at a time.
Does anyone know a way of viewing and actioning MRP Messages across multiple Plants?

    Hi,
pls try below selection method in TCode MD06
then you will get exception message list of materails only within plant (don't enter MRP controller, enter only plant)
MD06 --> Plant --> Tab Restrict Selection --> Exception Groups --> select all group ( check box tick 1 to 8 ) --> then Excute
    it will solve your problem

  • Exception message for PrdOrd and Planned order

    Hi Gurus,
It possible based on prdord and planned ord we need to get the Exception message information. It's there any standard transaction code or any sqvi report?
    Note:
    Exception Message:
    10 - Reschedule in
    20 - cancel
05 - Opening date in the past
26 - Excess in individual segment
Please find this information in MD04 (single order). i am looking for same time multple orders with exception message report.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi
You can use MD06 with refrence to you plant and MRP Controllers. Also you can define your own traffic lights so that based on these you get your exception messages.
    Hope this helps,

  • MRP Exception Message 26: Excess stock in individual segment

We would like to modify the logic relating to MRP Exception Message 26: Excess stock in individual segment to allow for a material-specific tolerance threshold, within which no exception would be generated.  An alternate approach might be to deactivate  message 26 and create a new custom exception that accomplishes the same thing.
The reason is that we fabricate and procure a large number of materials in a Make-To-Order environment, with some planned scrap at multiple levels of sub-assembly.  The result is that we often have small residual quantities of components & sub-assemblies in sales order stock when the project is complete.  Some of these may be useful on future projects so we want them to remain in stock, but we donu2019t want them to continually generate exception messages that distract our planners from the exceptions that truly need attention.
I have tried setting up a storage location that is excluded from MRP, and this works only if the material is in General Stock, but not if it is in Sales Order Stock.
If anyone knows of a way to either set up an allowed tolerance, or exclude a sales order segment from MRP, please let me know.

    DB49,
I have previously suggested just what you have indicated (ie. to move the parts back to unrestricted geneeral use stock).  My company's objection is that the materials were either produced or procured for that original sales order and that the costs for these materials are in that sales order as well.  Using a 411E transfer posting will not only move the stock, but also the cost (as if we are buying it back from the sales order).  Since there is no guarantee that we will be able to sell it again, our accounting department will not allow us to do this.
    So the bottom line is:
We do want to retain visibility to these stocks.
We don't want the cost for these stocks back on our books
If the opportunity presents itself, we want to move them to any future sales order for the same material.
We don't want the hundreds of exception messages for "excess stock in individual segment"
However we do want to see this message for actively planning sales orders that may have too much stock
There may be no way to get this, but that is the goal.

  • Assembly order strategy 81 components exception message 40

    Dear Team,
I am using planning strategy 81 for discrete manufacturing process.Planning is taking care for finished product and triggering planned order. But in component level requirement is not generating and showing exception message as 40. If i execute MD02, then working well. Let me know why requirements are not generating for components in MD04 screen. Is it required  MRP run for components even in assembly order process.?
For components  collective requirement  2 using.
I would greatly appreciate if you identify the issue
    Regards
    Abhilash

    Hello Abhilash
The components are not planned automatically when using strategy 81. The planned order is generated and dependent requirements for the components are also generated, however, there is no MRP run, therefore, the dependent requirements are not covered.
As an alternative, I suggest you to check the requirement type/class customizing. There is an indicator called "automatic planning" which triggers the MRP for the sales order automatically in background.
This setting can be used as a workaroung in this case.

  • MRP Exception message for Excess production quantity

Originally, there is a demand for a common item material A 1500
One work order is opened for this grouped demand
    Grouped Demand: 1500
    Work Order QTy: 1500
Due to a drop in demand, the demand fall to 1200
At this time, will any MRP exception raise to suggest the order to reduce the scheduled quantity to 1200?
If there is way to do so, what should I set to achieve this requirement?

I just afraid additional demand would raise by setting this coverage.
I tried to define a range of coverage profile in the system with min:0 target:0 and max:1
I set a material to use this profile and run a MRP with my above case.
But still No exception message was suggested for the case.
Is there something I am missing out?
Anyway, thanks you for your suggest.

  • Suppression of Re-Order Point Safety Stock Exception Messages

    Hi There!
    Hope someone can help!?
I need to be able to suppress MRP Exception Message 96 - Qty Under Safety Stock but for PD Only.
    Is this possible?
    Cheers,
    Karl

    Hi There!
We have lots of Raw materials controlled by MRP Type PD, which have Safety Stock Value.
However, quite often although the actual stock is lower than the Safety stock Planners have lots of messages (96 - Below safety stocks). However, although Purchase order reciepts may be late, there isn't actually a problem. As When the PO Reciepts actually happen there is enough stock to satisfy actual demand.
We would like to put many of these Raw materials on Re-Order Point Planning, and manage. But we would like to ignore the (96 - Below Safety Stock) for Normal Items.
Hence, Planners have exception messages for REAL Priorities.
    Hope this explains all!
    Cheers,
    Karl

  • Exception message 26, (only warnning not an error mesage).

    Dear Experts
my environment is MTO, which generates a huge number of production orders daily with a big number of exception messages which some times are not enough to adopt the PP activities on the system,
in the case of  (Procurement type:X) which the planned order for a HALB or FERT, material can be produced internally or procured externally, i can partially convert a part of the total quantity into a production order or a purchase requisition  and so the remaining qty,  into any of the both procurement proposals.
now if the total quantities of the partially converted production orders and purchase requisition, is exceeding than the planned order qty, i am getting the exception message 26, (only warnning not an error mesage).
my requirement: i want the system to restrict users to covert the planned order into a production order or a purchase requisition if the total quantities of all the partially converted production orders and purchase requisitions are exceeding more than the original planned order quantity.
    Example:
planned order qty, is 10 EA, if i convert a qty, of 3 EA into a partial production order and another qty, with 4 EA into a purchase requisition,
system must restrict me to convert the remaining qty, into a production order or a purchase requisition  if i changed the qty, to a qty, exceeds more than 3 EA.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ahmed,
Exception message 26 is neither a warning nor an error.  It is an alert that a certain business condition exists (excess stock in a segment).  The general rule for exceptions is that it is up to the planner to determine the significance, and to use your company's business rules to react accordingly.
The solution to your stated requirement does not exist in standard SAP.  To me, it makes no sense to lock the system down in this way.  Message 26 can come from overconversion, but it can also come if the requirements are reduced.
If you still feel that this functionality must be implemented, I would suggest this partial solution, that uses standard functionality.  Have your planners perform only the conversions of the plndords to firmed purchase reqs, for a given time frame, all at one time, and decline to convert the remaining balances to production orders. Then, re-run MRP with delete/recreate.  This will create planned orders for exactly the balance(s) required.  Then, you could immediately use the standard mass program to convert the 'balance' Planned orders to Production orders.  The mass conversion could be the second step of an auxiliary MRP job.
If you insist that the requirements must be met using the method you indicated above, then it implies that every program that could be used to convert a PlndOrd to something else must be modified.  I don't think I would attempt this unless there were no other possibilities.
    Best Regards,
    DB49
