Exception on using IAIK cipher
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to use a Blowfish cipher within a servlet on WebAS 6.20 and getting a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/crypto/IllegalBlockSizeException. Outside the WebAS my code is working.
When I put the iaik_jce.jar in the web-app lib dir a java.lang.ClassCastException: iaik.security.cipher.Blowfish is thrown.
Which is the right way to use a Cipher? Do I have to configure something in the library.txt?

It looks like you need to close your statement (and probably your ResultSet) as well.
As far as I can tell, the stack trace comes when it is trying to cancel your open statements on the rollback.

I have using this code to create a object

I am having a similar problem that results in this stack trace. The funny thing is that it occurs after a session.logout/login and re-read of the object I'm trying to update. The other thing is that if I remove objects from the transaction it just happens somewhere else - on a different object/descriptor. I am attempting to upgrade from 9.03 runtime to the 10.0.3.1 builder/runtime. I am connecting to a Sybase 12.5 db.
Any ideas on this one?

I passed User Id as Parameter and it successfully return the values (user id, user name and description) from fnd_user table
2. I created another application to consume the web service i created.
1. I added the webservice SOAP and added the method.
2. Created a jsf page and drag and drop the parameter and return values to the jsf page.
3. While executing the created jsf page I received the error message as below
"oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-29114 ADFContext is not setup to process messages for this exception. Use the exception stack trace and error code to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is JBO-25058. Error message parameters are {0=Attribute, 1=UserName, 2=UserName}"
Even I know that this issue is repeated one in our forum, I was not able to solve this issue.
Can anybody help to solve this issue.

in one class , i am generating private key and public key using "RSA" algorithm..using 1024 byte initialization...

and after that in second class i am encrypting the xml file using "DESede" algorithm and i am using public key of above class..

What sabre150 is trying to explain to you, is that encrypting data (such as an XML file) is a 2-step process. In the first step, you generate a symmetric key (such as DES, 3DES, AES) and encrypt your file with this key (and the appropriate mode and padding).
In order to ensure that your encrypted data cannot be decrypted by unauthorized individuals, you now need to protect the symmetric key. Encrypting your symmetric key with another symmetric key does not solve the problem, since you have a chain of symmetric keys that need to be encrypted into infinity.
Cryptographers solve this problem by encrypting the symmetric key with an asymmetric key, such as as RSA. To perform this second step, you generate an RSA key-pair, encrypt the symmetric key you generated in step 1 with the Public key of the RSA key-pair, and give the recipient of the encrypted XML file, access to the Private key of the RSA key-pair as well as the encrypted symmetric key.
The recipient, then uses the RSA Private key to decrypt the symmetric key first, and then uses the "plaintext" symmetric key to decrypt the XML file.
What sabre150 was also attempting to explain to you, is the traditional way of transporting an encrypted "blob" that consists of data + symmetric key. With a modern key-management system, combining the two would be unnecessary. -

First of all, make sure that your iPhone as the most recent iOS available. Check in "Settings>General>Software Update".
One other problem could be your microphone. Does it work for anything else other than a call?

What support does Netweaver provide for Digital Signatures and Encryption. Does it use IAIK for implementing security. It will be good if somebody could give some starting points.

Wrong number of parameters exception when using PreparedStatement

I'm getting Wrong number of parameters exception when using a prepared statement. It's very weird. The code is:

The error is:

What exception to use for incorrect file format?
I parse a file and find out that it contains unsupported elemnet.
You are applying a general case to specificinstance
without knowing any of the details.Indeed I am. However, generally speaking, a method
that throws Exception is less-than-optimal design in
an API. I will try to illustrate my point.
Throwing an Exception does not provide any clues to
the user of your API about what might go wrong in the
method call, while throwing an
UnsupportedElementException certainly does. An
UnsupportedElementException is much more informative
to the user, while a plain Exception is not. A custom
exception in this case is implicitly clear, even
without consulting the Javadocs.Which is all true if I am writing a library. But most people do not write libraries, they write applications. In applications either exceptions are part of the process flow (explicitly caught) or they are not. The vast majority are not part of the process flow.

I have yet to meet a developer who can accurately predict the future. I have however met many who thought there code could be generalized for many possible imaginary cases that they conceived in their mind.
And all that extra code is never tested by QA (because there are no requirements) and causes maintenance problems down the road because it is not part of the documented infrastructure.

A checked exception must be caught regardless of what type of checked exception it is. The user might break it out but only if the user expects to do something with a specific type of exception. -
SSL exception when using FileAdapter - PI 7.0
Hi,
I'm currently using the FileAdapter to send a CSV file to an external FTPs server. I have loaded the FTPs server certificated into the ClientCertificates keystore in J2EE as well as the Verisign intermediate and root certs into the Trusted CAs. When testing the connection, i'm still getting a chain verification exception like below:
Delivery of the message to the application using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier: iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier.
Has anyone had experience configuring this scenario and might be able to help out?

NicholasThis is a typical answer to OSS ticket concerning this issue:
"A strict server name check is first performed in the SSL handshake,
before any certificate chain is verfied against the certificates in the
Trusted CA keytore view.
The strict server name check means that the CN in the server certificate
must exactly match the host name in the request URL.
In this step, the certificates in the client (J2EE engine) Trusted CA
keystore view are not yet involved.
You'll either need to configure the host name, as the CN of the
server certificate or create the server certificate with the CN (and
import/use it in the server), as you plan to use it in the FTP Adapter
receiver channel configuration.
Please ensure your channel configuration uses the hostname expected
by the server. i.e. that you are also using: *.sap.com
and that this FQHN is used consistently.
If you still have problems, please note that the FTP protocol itself
has no concept of hostnames, so an FTP client is reliant on the IP
address of the server to obtain the hostname. If any reverse DNS
lookup is taking place during the processing on your network, you need
to ensure the DNS lookup returns the FQHN of your FTP server, which
is: *.sap.com
Try run the scenario using a public certificate and adding the IP
address and host name to the host file."

Help: can't use class: Cipher, Signaure, MessageDigest
Hi all,
When I use these Class: Signature or SignatureMessageRecovery, MessageDigest, Cipher in my applet and when I send CreateApplet adpu to the applet, I get some error (SW1SW2=0x6444) and the CREF throw the Exception: SYSTEMEXCEPT_NO_TRANSIENT_SPACE.
If I change the Signature algorithm to ALG_RSA_SHA_ISO9796_MR and
cast the Signature Object to SignatureMessageRecovery, I get the same error.
If I change the Signature algorithm to ALG_DES_MAC8_ISO9797_M2, the applet return success(SW1SW2=9000).

when I am on a phone call in my car I can play and hear my iPhone music thru the car speakers but when I hang up from the call, the sound reverts to my iPhone speaker and longer plays thru the car speaker.
