Exception when creating ABAP client proxy using WSDL

Hi Experts,
I tried to create a client proxy on the CRM system for a web service URL (where the WSDL exists), in the transaction SE80.
When I tried creating this, i got exception as follows.
Exception occured in communication framework:error in HTTP framework:404 conn failed http://inld50054696a:8080/clearspace/rpc/rest?forumservice?wsdl
Please let me know, how to tackle this problem.
What are all the settings that needs to be done in this regard.

    Have you verified that your SAP system is set up to be able to send messages out over http?  Our firewalls caused the same problem- by configuring proxy settings in transaction SICF we worked around the error.

  • ABAP client proxy from WSDL

    I have 2 problems in creating abap client proxies using wsdl
    1.when i try to create client proxy by giving RPC style wsdl(generated by SAP itself for a RFC) the system throws an error and not allowing to create the proxy
    2.The client proxy which i have created for a wsdl(either SAP created document type/any wsdl from commercial websites) gives an error "No receiver could be found"
    could somebody please clarify and help me to solve the problem.

  • Error When Creating Deployable Client Proxy

    I've created a WSDL file from the XI Integration Directory (Tools--> Define Web Service). I then tested this with XMl Spy and VB.NET. They worked fine.
    I then used NWDS (SP13) to create a deployable client proxy. When building the client definition NWDS returned the error <b>"Problem When Generating the Proxy Definition!".</b>
    1. Are there any log files that would be helpful in deciphering the error message?
    2. Should I take this one to SAP. The WSDL is rather long and complex but it is based on XSD from a large national project and the other tools seem to be able to handle it fine.

  • ABAP Client Proxy without XI

    Hello
    I am stuggling with writing a client proxy in ABAP to call a Web Service without any use of XI.  The help says it is possible, as per the URL below.
    On the expanded tree structure on the left pane of the help, navigate to the heading "Programming with Client and Server Proxies" and then "Sending a message".
    I have been able to generate a proxy class by consuming a WSDL file and I have also defined a Logical Port.
    I have also copied the ABAP code shown on the same Help page, but have been stumped by the definition of ls_request and ls_response.  The next line of help goes on to explain that ls_request should be a structure for the Request Message.  In the scenario where XI is used, I can understand the concept of defining a structure that is the same as the Request message.
    In the scenario of only using ABAP and no XI, I don't understand what I should define the structures for ls_request and ls_response.
    Can anyone shed some light on my confusion?  Any suggestions gratefully received.

    input and output structure are automatically generated when creating the client proxy.
    click on the structure tab (se80 client proxy definition) and expand the webservice method againt input in the type column you should see a structure name use this for ls_request
    ls_request         TYPE zxxx_soap_in,
    against exporting in types column you can see the type for ls_response.

  • ABAP Client Proxy to File (File is not getting generated)

    Hi All,
    I'm trying out a scenario ABAP proxy --> XI  --> FILE.
    I have followed the given blog to create ABAP client proxy.
    /people/ravikumar.allampallam/blog/2005/03/14/abap-proxies-in-xiclient-proxy
    While executing the ABAP client proxy, the values are properly sent to XI and in the SXMB_MONI the message shows as successful. But the correspoding file is not created.
    It seems everything is fine in the receiver adpater(Monitoring) and in the SXMB_MONI also the msg shows successful(receiver side).
    The directory path and the corresping file creation parameters also looks fine.
    Couldn't figure out what went wrong. Please help me on this.

  • ABAP client proxy create error

    Hi,
    When I try to create a client proxy web service (se80), I get the error "Error when creating HTTP client: URL: Error:Connection Parameters (Host or Service) Not Availa Message no. SPRX137"
    I want to consume a web service (by reading a wsdl from an url) from my own network. the ICM seems to work fine.
    Any ideas?

    Actualy I am not using XI. I would like to connect to the web service by creating a client proxy and then calling the web service with an ABAP program.
    I that case, do I have to do the SPROXY settings as well?
    While debugging the creation of the client proxy I saw that the urls to the wsdl and xsd files (my wsdl is refering to them) did not have the complete http://..etc.. text but only the last part (like 'SystemGetInfo.wsdl'). It seems that the client proxy generation program cannot handle this url data.
    Please let me know what to do.

    I has new in this forum, and i have a problem when trie to create a client proxy from external WSDL, using https URL, system returns me a 110 http code. For others externs WSDL called via http don´t have any problem, and create client proxy perfect

    Dear Anton I download de WSDL definition in a local file, but when I trie to use, the error persist.
    If I test de URL via WebService navigation option, this work correctly, but if I put this URL thats begins with https, in se80--> create client proxy -->insert URL and then system returns the message HTTP error (return code 110, message "") 
    What it´s happen?.

  • How to call ABAP client proxy?

    Hello,
    I am getting confused with ABAP client proxy now.
    I've defined a outbound service interface (Message Interface) in PI, based on the service interface I generated the ABAP client proxy in the abap backend system. There are two possible ways to configuration the integration scenario for this interface:
    1) use the proxy as web service consumer for scenario like:  ws consumer --> PI
    2) No web service, just proxy like:  Proxy --> PI
    Now I've configured a logical port (as default logical port) for scenario 1.
    I wrote a ABAP program to call the proxy to send out message to PI. To call the proxy we instantiate the proxy like:
    CREATE OBJECT proxy  EXPORTING    logical_port_name = p_port.
    proxy->myOperation( ...  ).
    Now if I specify the logical_port_name, I think the local IE in the abap system knows to send out the message using web service (scenario 1). However if I do NOT specify logical_port_name, how the local IE knows which way to send out the message? Using web service with the default logica port, or directly  post the message to the centrl IE pipeline using the second scenario ?
    Anybody can clarify my doubts?

    The answer to your question lies in the method CREATE_FRAMEWORK of class CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK_OUTBOUND. In this method, you will see method GET_SOAP_APPLICATION of class CL_SRT_LP_MAINTANENCE is checked to see which adapter to use (i.e WS runtime or XI runtime).
    Anyway, to give a straight answer to your question, if you maintained an endpoint for your interface in tcode SOAManager, the WS runtime/adapter is used to send the message to Integration server. If there is no endpoint maintained, then it uses the XI runtime (or the traditional proxy adapter).
    Now, as far as logical port goes, if you didn't give a value when calling the proxy client class and you didn't maintain an endpoint in SOAManager, then XI runtime is used.
    If you didn't pass a value to logical port but you maintained an endpoint which the default logical port, then the same is used and communication happens through WS adapter.
    If you didn't pass a value to logical port but you maintained an endpoint and didn't mark the port as default, then a WS runtime exception is raised.

  • Issue while trying to create a Client Proxy

    Hello,
    I am new to this field of using web services, so maybe i am missing something here. I need to consume a webservice in ABAP. So these are the steps that I performing
    1. Goto Se80 and select Enterprise Services and select Client proxy ->Create
    2. Select radiobutton for Local file (I have the WSDL file saved on my desktop) Entered the path of the local file.
    3. Requested it to be saved as a local object witha prefix as ZFR_
    4 Click on Complete on the wizard.
    I get an error on this Exception occured in library handler.
    Exception occured in communication framework. Error in file upload.
    Am I missing something. Do I have to configure anything before I can create a Client proxy. I need to use as it creates a class and that needs to be invoked in the ABAP program.
    Please suggest.

    Follow the following steps.
    Go To SE80
    then select Package name in which u are suppose to work
    then Right click on Enterprise service
    then right click on Client Proxies and then create
    You have local WSDL file so select local file selection
    then select file from local file with browse
    then select package name and give prefix name
    then save and activate it. ( note down abap name ).

    When we use ABAP client proxy to send a message in XI-SOAP format to the integration engine, how does the client proxy determine what is the sender business system, i.e. how does it know what value it should insert in the sender service field in the SOAP envelop.
    For example, at first, the business system X8A_105 corresponds to the technical system X8A_105, so when the client proxy sends out a message, the sender service is X8A_105. Then I delete the business system X8A_105 in the SLD, and create a new business system that is associated with the technical system X8A_105.when the client proxy sends out a message, the sender_service is still X8A_105, why?

    Execute the following function module in your business system and see what name it returns..
    LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM.
    You can always debug the code inside the above FM to find out how it gets the business system name...
    I think the issue should be related to cache. I would also suggest you to logoff from your business system and then login again.

    Hi experts,
    i have scenario like this SAPECC---XI---WEBservice
    i was decided to using the ABAP CLIENT proxy in sender side and soap adapter communication in receiver side
    i will be get the wsdl file form client
    problem is i am in bit of confusion like  am i need to create fault message for this asychronous scenario?
      how can i create the fault message for this scenario(that WSDL) and how the abaperwill  handle those error

    Hi.
    You can use fault message but it won´t return a error to your ABAP Proxy because your interface is ASSYNC. The fault message generated will stop in Adapter Engine.
    If you need a return of the error, you have to change your interface to Sync mode.

  • ABAP Client Proxy without Commit

    Hi everyone,
    we want to implement a web service call using an ABAP Client Proxy. The Problem is, that this call is in the middle of a transaction and we may not execute an implicit COMMIT WORK by using the proxy class.
    Does anyone know how to prevent such a COMMIT?

    I understand the situation.
    Ask basis if the PI system is configured as Integration server. even you can check this but basis can confirm on this. In that case you need to have another client which can work as R/3 for you. Then you can proceed with ABAP proxies on the client.
    Now coming back to what i can think of a work around. When a target system fails PI will retry and end up as System failure. This system failure can be retrieved from SXMB_MONI tables. Now if you create a ABAP report which pics all records with Status = "SYS_FAIL" and reprocess (which is a inbuilt functionality) then you can make RFC call to this report which can end up reprocessing and can give response for Success for Failure or any reprocess. This you can use in BPM.

    All,
    I have created a client proxy in CRM system and i have tested in from SE80 and everything works i retrieve data and works fine.
    But now i have created a test program where i use a client proxy and i send the request with the same parameters, but i do not receive any response.
    I have created the proxy object with the logical port and no exception is being throwed, any idea?

    Hi Jon,
    Whenever something unexpected happens, I think it's best to find out if a request has been sent out correctly from the client proxy and received by the web service.
    If the web service is an SAP web service, you can use the following
    1. SRT_UTIL transaction. You can find out more from the link below
