Exception when trying to map a java class to a Structured Type
Hi All ,
I am trying to map a structured type to a class using JDBC 2.x
DB : Oracle 9i
Driver : Oracle thin driver ( $ORA_HOME\jdbc\lib\classes12.jar )
Java class is : RRPERSON and have implemented SQLData interface
I have created a type for this class in DB . I have also mapped this type using
Map typeMap = conn.getTypeMap();
typeMap.put("SCOTT.RRPERSON", SerialDemo.RRPerson.class);
When I give
PreparedStatement pstmt = con.prepareStatement( "INSERT INTO RRTBL " +
" VALUES ( ? ) " );
RRPerson r = new RRPerson();
pstmt.setObject(1,r); // ERROR HERE
pstmt.executeUpdate();
I get at the given line

Getting error when trying to expose the java class as webservice
I am new to webservices and ESB.
I have two custom schemas. LegacyCustomer.xsd and CommonCustomer.xsd. I am compiling these schemas using JAXP. I am trying to map one custom data to another data using java class. I am trying to expose this java class into webservice.
public class Test implements Serializable {
private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
public Test() {
public CustomerType transform (CustomerDataType custDataType) {
CustomerType custType = new CustomerType();
custType.setCustomerId(custDataType.getCustomerId());
return custType;
Schemas used are:
Input Schema:
<schema targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Esb/CustomerData" xmlns:cust="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Esb/CustomerData" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<element name="CustomerData" type="cust:CustomerDataType"/>
<complexType name="CustomerDataType">
<sequence>
<element name="CustomerId" type="string"/>
</sequence>
</complexType>
</schema>
Output Schema:
<schema targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Esb/CustomerProvision" xmlns:CU="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Esb/CustomerProvision" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<element name="Customer" type="CU:CustomerType"/>
<complexType name="CustomerType">
<sequence>
<element name="CustomerId" type="string"/>
</sequence>
</complexType>
</schema>
When I try to do this I am getting following error
CustomerType of method transform cannot be serialized into xml, and no custom serializer has been defined for it.
Why do we need custom serializer here? And if this is mandatory how can we define this custom serializer?Thanks for your reply...
I tried second option that you specified first. I did the transformation of objects using xslt. It is working fine.
But I couldn't able to do this using first method...,
When I tried to compile the schema using jaxp it is actually creating classes without the private variables. and hence it is not able to recognize those variables to generate the wsdl.
But I am not sure how to generate the classes with those private variables and getter and setters (to generate wsdl specification it seems to be mandatory one).
Can you please tell me how can we do the schema compilation (other than xml beans and jaxp.... I tried both)? -
Getting an error msg while trying to run the java class from CMC
Hi All,
I am getting an error, while trying to run the java .class file, that which is imoported into CMC.
Error msg:

I have imported .class file into CMC and trying to invoke the .class file by another java program from eclipse..When i tried to invoke the .class in cmc, i am getting an error msg, mentioned above. I thought there might be version conflict. So i changed the java complier version to 1.5 in my Eclipse. After that is done again i am facing the same problem.
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?
Thanks in Advance.i have installed BO SDK 3.1 , Service pack 3. It comes woth JDK 1.5 version. i have not done any chnages to it. I impoprted all the jar files related to BO into eclipse.
1) Actually, i am writing java code on eclipse. When i run code from the eclipse, it creates a session to cmc and creates folder structure what i need.
2) But the thing is, that code needs to run, when i import the .class file into cmc. The process how i imported the .class file to cmc.
Manage> Add> Program File-->Java (Check Box). In this way i added java class file from the eclipse workspace (class file from the bin directory).
3) So when i run the .class file externally by another java program or also when i log in to CMC and run that .class file, the instance shows sucess, but when i see the logfile i am getting an exception that which i mentioned above.
If my method is worng can you please let me know the stepts how to run java program in cmc.
Thanks in Advance -

Underflow Exception when trying to bind small double to BINARY_DOUBLE
I get exception when trying to insert small double value (1.0E-131) into BINARY_DOUBLE column via jdbc.
The exception I get:
Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: Underflow Exception trying to bind 1.0000000000000001E-131
at oracle.jdbc.driver.DoubleBinder.bind(OraclePreparedStatement.java:13856)

at oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement.executeInternal(OraclePreparedStatement.java:3280)
at oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement.execute(OraclePreparedStatement.java:3390)
at dbAccess.main(dbAccess.java:18)
According to oracle documentation the smallest positive number the BINARY_DOUBLE column can store is 2.22507485850720E-308.
I'm using oracle 10g r2 and thin jdbc driver.
Any ideas?That is expected since a double is converted to a Oracle NUMBER before passing it to the database and Oracle NUMBER does not support 1.0e-131, the range is 1E-130 .. 10E125.
Look at the SQL output below,
SQL> select to_char(to_number(1.0e-131)) from dual;
T
0
SQL> select to_char(to_number(1.0e-130)) from dual;
TO_CHAR(TO_NUMBER(1.0E-130))
1.000000000000000000000000000000000E-130
==
Use oracle.sql.BINARY_DOUBLE for numbers like this.
eg:
preparedStatement.setBINARY_DOUBLE(1, new oracle.sql.BINARY_DOUBLE(1.0e-131));
==
hope this helps.

Thanks.Error in the TDS datastream: unknown block: 68Sounds like Microsoft have updated the TDS protocol for MSSQL2000. If you're using the Free TDS (www.freetds.org) driver I know you can configure the it for different versions of TDS (check out the FAQ or the doco on their web site) but whether it works with SQL 2000 or not I don't know.

--Muthu.Muthu,
To find out whether the problem is with container setting or with your application, can you create a simple stateless session bean and check if it works fine. If it works fine send me ejb-jar.xml and sun-ejb-jar.xml for your application.

Caught workflow exception: null
Process exited with exit code 0.
Can anyone please help meActually i'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and our requirement is to show list of BPM worklist tasks for the logged in user on the first page and onclick of each task task details page should be opened. I can use Webcenter PS3 worklist taskflow. But i'm not able to customize that taskflow. So, i'm going for Worklist client api.
I'm able to retrive the taskId,task title and few other details like task payload. But i don't know why the below method is giving exception.
String url =
WorklistUtil.getTaskDisplayURL(wfSvcClient,
ctx, task, null,
"worklist", parameters);
And i observed that you have also used the same code for getting Taskdetails url. And one more thing is i'm trying to access BPM worklist which is installed on remote machine.
Can you tell me what could be the reason for the exception? -
Exception when trying to post to a page
In NetD we created and submitted a form with JavaScript.
The form looked something like this
<FORM ACTION=pgXYZ METHOD=POST>
<INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME=SPIDERSESSION VALUE=12345>
</FORM>
So now in Jato, we're trying to do the exact same thing,
except that instead of SPIDERSESSION, we use the three Jato
variables. Now the form is like this:
<FORM ACTION=pgXYZ METHOD=POST>
<INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME=GXHC_GX_jst VALUE=12345>
<INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME=GXHC_gx_session_id_ VALUE=12345>
<INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME=pageAttributes VALUE=12345>
</FORM>
Notice we're not submitting to a handler, but just to the page itself.
When we do this, we get an exception:

Subject: RE: [iPlanet-JATO] Exception when trying to post to a page
Hi Mark
You are trying to submit to a view bean using java script right ?
Notice we're not submitting to a handler, but just to the page itself.You are actually submitting the request to your JATO selvlet base, is that
you intention ?
The exception is being thrown because there is no request handler found.
If you are trying invoke a handleBtnXXXmethod then your form action would
look something like,
<form method="post" action="../myServlet/pgMyPage?pgMypage.btnMyButton=">
This adds to the request an appropriate handler as a parameter. Another
option could be to add a hidden field
with the same name as your button.
Attempting to post the form without specifying a request handler will not
work eg:
<form method="post" action="../myServlet/pgMyPage">
This throws a ServletException("The request was not be handled by the
specified handler")
because you are doing a post to ViewBean from a form which implies youwant
to handle some kind web action.
The way JATO enforces this is to check for the prescence of pageAttributes
in the request (implemented using hidden fields)
which you have in your form.

nullHello,
Like you said it was the problem with url.
The webservice I used is actually running on the local machine (where the NetWeaver developer studio is installed); so in the url I had specified localhost. But I deployed the application on another server(SAP J2EE Engine). That is why it didn't work. On changing the url as required, the application is working fine.
Thanks !

Error 0x800704b3 when trying to map a network drive
Hi there,
I have the following error when trying to map a network drive in my home network:
"\\iomegahmd can not be reached" and the error code is 0x800704b3.
I already looked into the services, and my strong assumption is that the problem is that the service "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper" is not statrted and it is disabled. When I try to start it, there is an error message:
"The system could not find the path specified".
I've also checked the dependency components of the service "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper":
Ancillary Function Driver for Winsock
NetBT
TCP/IP-Protocol driver
NetIO-Legacy-TDI Support driver
in the device manager if they are running, but they are all running. The start is set to "System".
Under the TCP/IP Internet version 4 properties of the wireless device, under Advanced -> WINS Ive set Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, but it didnt help either.
What else could I try, so that I can map network drives?
I should also mention, that the problem persist since some week ago. Before it, it was properly functioning. Also, on the other computers in my networks I do not have problem accessing the same network drive.
Thanks in advance,
Dime> I should also mention, that the problem persist since some week ago. Before it, it was properly functioning.
Its difficult to say whats wrong in your case. My first idea is: set the system to early time point before this error appeared.
I would also recommend to disable all the security software and check if you come across the same problem.
If you still face the issue, then follow the link to fix the corrupted user profile.

The exception is

Could anyone give me an idea on what might be the problem ?

DataSource CORP_LDAP: Naming exception when trying to create principal
Using NetWeaver 6.40 SP 15.
I have configured the UME to use writable LDAP and database. Specifically, for LDAP I'm using the Sun One Directory Server. I'm able to authenticate using one of the LDAP users using a Web Dynpro app.
When I try to create a user through the NWA web app, I simply get a "Could not create user" error in the application. In the server instance "security.log" I found the following:

Where can I find the initial NamingException?Hi All,
Thanks for your replies and SORRY for my late response.
Now, what I actually want is that though my UME is connected to LDAP i want to the portal admin to be able to create users in the portal DB. I checked my UME configuration and it says
Microsoft ADS (Deep Hheirarchy) + Database
and the name of the configuration file is
dataSourceConfiguration_ads_deep_writeable_db.xml
Now I could not understand why I am not able to create users in the DB?
Does the portal has any restriction like at any given point of time only one of the user stores can be active? Doesnt the portal allow both the user stores to be active at a time?
