Exception while creating a Adaptive WebService model in CE 7.1

Hi All,
I am trying to call a Adaptive Web Service model in CE 7.1, I am getting the following exception.
java.io.IOException: Cannot connect to http://ealpdcompiep:52000/wsnavigator/jsps/index.jsp?localWS=V1NfTURNX1JFVF9KVC9zYXAuY29tJTJGamFfbWF0ZXJpYWwvTWF0ZXJpYWwuamFy&style=document, used user to connect: MDMSERVICE, message : Unable to connect to ealpdcompiep:52000 - No buffer space available (maximum connections reached?): connect
Can ant one Please ket me know what is that exception and is there ant other way to create a Web Serive model in CE7.1

Hi Ushashri,
1) Are you closing the connection once you are done with your work?
It seems that number of connections has reached the upper limit.
One way to overcome this situation can be hard rebooting the server from where you are calling the Adaptive web service.
Close the connection.
2) If you are trying for the first time and getting the error then check for the loin credentials. Try giving password in capitals.

I am trying to create a Model using a Adaptive RFC Model, I assign a Model name and the logical system names, enter the details in SAP Logon Information for the Single server,here it gives me a Gateway error. What could be the issue here?
NB: In the Host Name , I tried with both the Host name of the r/3 server and also with the SAProuter string ( as we have the server at other place) ,still it doesnt work. and I am able to login to the R/3 system from the SAPLogon GUI from my desktop normally.
Is there any issue of the firewall related to this, if so whats the port number that should be opened so that i can connect to the r/3 system get the list of BAPIs present there into my Webdynpro application .
Need help on this

I have checked out with the your given suggestion of trying with the host name as well as IP address and also typing all the details,without copy pasting the details . In both the cases it gave the " Connect to gateway failed " error mesg.
But one intersting thing here that i observered when trying with hostname, IP address, or SAProuter string is as follows .
with IP address

Error while creating Adaptive Webservice model

Hi ,
I am getting errors when trying to create an adaptive webservice model. I am working in NWDI environment. When i tried to create adaptive webservice model in local development it was successful. But when i tried to create the same using the component which is in a track i am getting errors.

Error in Adaptive WebService Model when creating instance of Node

Hi All,
I have created an Adaptive WebService Model which calls a WebService. This WebService has been generated in the CAF and represents an Application Service. One of the Methods of this Application Service returns a Complex Type which contains a list of BOs.
However, when creating an instance of the Request Node, I receive an exception. The coding is:
JobAppModel model = new JobAppModel();
Request_GetAllJobApplications requestMO = new Request_GetAllJobApplications(model); <==
The exception is
com.sun.jdi.InvocationException occurred invoking
The exception is not shown on the screen, only in the debugger in the field where you can see the variables.
Does anybody know where thgis exception ma ycome from or where my mistake is?

i tried to create model using url in address tab , but i am getting error. This webservice is having authentication ,is this error bcoz of authentication????

Adaptive Webservice model for asynchronous web services

Hi ,
While tring to use adaptive Webservice model, using WSDL provided by XI, i was geting the error, Cannot load NameSpaces and ModelClasses . Details of the error can be found in

Later when the WSDL was created having other req & resp params, the model got created successfully. Now my question is :
Can't an adaptive Webservice model be created for asynchronous webservices??. Should the Webservice always be synchronous in nature for creating adaptive webservice model???

Validation of context attributes with adaptive webservice model

Hi, I am creating a Web Dynpro Java application (on top of Netweaver AS 7.0) using an adaptive webservice model to invoke a webservice.
The webservice has some request attributes of type string with limited length (for example limited to 1 character). I bound the model to component controller context and created a mapping between the component controller context and view context. In the view, I created a form which is bound to the context attributes.
When user enters string values, which are longer than the maximum length specified in webservice WSDL, and submits the form, an exception is thrown when Web Dynpro runtime is trying to assign entered values into context attributes:

This exception is thrown before my non-validating action is executed, so I am not able to prevent it or handle it.
Is there any way how to catch this exception or prevent it?
Does anyone know where these model restrictions are stored? I searched the XML files generated for the model, but I haven't found anything. Does the Web Dynpro runtime access WSDL everytime it needs to validate request parameters?

No ,This is the preferred and safer way to separate the Model Node and and Input Node and relationship between them by using mapping.
You create your context structure for input and then on action set user input to model data.
Safer it means : Sometimes it happen that model data not populated properly due to network or wrong user input etc ,this time our presentation will be safe and display the proper error message rather the screen went away with null pointer exception.
Regarding your - it require a lot of work. It too much convince for us that rather than writing 50 lines of code
for only input length validation WebDynpro provides us a better model driven solution.

I am using a webservice which is created from my CAF Project. When i am using the deprecated Webservice Model then i am getting the required output. But when i am using Adaptive Webdynpro Model then we are getting a Null pointer exception or my input fields are getting diasbled. I am using service contriller to map the model elemnts to my context.

you have to create and configure "Metadata" and "Execution" destinations.
On Net weaver Administrator (http://hostname:portnumber/nwa) navigate to SOA Management u2013 Technical Configuration u2013 Destination Template Management u2013 Create Destination.
you have to enter the following parameters for both destinations:
Name:
Destination Type:
URL:
System: ABAP
System Name:
Host Name:
Installation Number:
Client:
After configuring the destinations, you can test them on Web Service Navigator (http://hostname:portnumber/wsnavigator).
On Web Service Navigator select "Search by Logical Destination" button and search in your destination.
If you can see on the search results your service, this means the destination is configured properly.

Help required using adaptive webservice Model

I am importing an adaptive webservice model in webdynpro using a URL. When asked i choose no logical destinations - use WSDL URL for metadataretrieval and webservice execution.
The webservice exports one function only:

RequestDetailsData is the node to which I need to set values and execute it.
Example :
wdContext.currentRequestDetailsDataElement().setRequestReason(wdContext.currentContextElement().getReqReason());
I have debugged and found that wdContext.currentRequestDetailsDataElement() is null
Before setting values to this node do i need to write any code like create new node or new element

So in order not to change the URL of the webservice model in the Test, i tried with the Adaptive webservice model. But when i try to import the model its saying " Error in loading WSDL file. Using Ant task wlserver/wlconfig: Received exception while creating connection for pool.

Hi,
I am using ant tasks wlserver and wlconfig to configure my weblogic server. while creating a connection pool as shown below
<target name="jdbcinfo">
<wlconfig password="weblogic"
username="weblogic"
url="${url}"
<query domain="mydomain" type="Server"
name="myserver" property="serverbean"
/>
<create type="JDBCConnectionPool"
name="jdbcpoolA"
property="jdbcPoolProp">
<set value="false"
attribute="ShrinkingEnabled"
<set value
attribute="
<set value="${serverbean}"
attribute="Targets"/>
The JDBCConnectionPool is created as long as I don't specified the attribute "Targets"
Once I add the target I get the following error
<JDBC> <BEA-001129> <Received exception while creating connection for pool "poolname" invalid arguments in call>

In your applicaion module configurations check if you are using 'JDBC URL' or 'JDBC DataSource'. You should use JDBC DataSource. Then make sure that your deployment descriptor (menu 'Application->Application Properties->Deployment) has the 'Auto Generate ...' checkbox set.
